Easiest game by far, extremely short dungeons if you know what you're doing, and a completely non-threatening plot unlike 90% of the other games.

Yeah, the key being that all of this is in the past tense. For whatever reason, it ended up being cut, so now all the lead-in is there with no pay-off. Not to mention that the spin-offs totally abandoned the idea in the favour of just giving him a robot girlfriend or whatever.
Yosuke was a little shithead, but if Atlus had actually gone through with this thing, he would've easily been the best written character in the game. Not because "oooh, gays are cool" but because this would've made his character have proper realistic arc, and P4 doesn't exactly set a bar high there.

That's because Yosuke was a scrapped romance option, I shit you not. All that insecurity about his masculinity was meant to hide his homo tendencies but Atlus got cold feet and scrapped the idea.

I was thinking the same thing, it would have made his actions make sense and made him a realistic portrayal of someone going through their gay crisis by taking it out on someone else before accepting it themselves. It was also explain why he was such a raging incel, it was just a front so he wouldn't be thought of as gay. The way his character was written seemed to hinge heavily on being in the closet but when you cut that aspect from Yosuke you wind up with 1/3rd a character who's completely unlikable.

Teddie never came off as a smug asshole who needed to be the center of attention. Teddie worked at Junes and brought joy to peoples lives outside of the tv/"palaces". When he left the party, it was because he felt unneeded. He didnt tag along and comment on everything the MC did forever.
Morgana was an arrogant little shit from the beginning, and when he left it was for the same reason, but he chose to be spiteful, until he got kicked in the chest (GOD I LOVED THAT PART). He was rushed they only changed him to be the killer a few months before release thats why he's such a shit underdeveloped character and his reveal come from nearly nowhere. The game had a playable build with a different killer, they then retroactively decided Adachi should be the killer and changed small scenes throughout to make him seem more suspicious. This is the reason why we only ever see him show his true personality at the very last battle, because he was never supposed to be more than a bumbling cop. He was the original red herring, the character you were supposed to think was the killer but wasnt.

In the final game yes, but we know thigns were changed obviously if he was still the killer in the finished game scenes with him would have been different. Nothing he said was wrong and nobody in the gang has a proper argument for what he says. It's why he isn't the final boss. Same goes for Goro. Everything they both say is objectively correct except we're taught from childhood to pretend like everyone is born equal or gets treated equally when that very obviously isn't the case. Adachi was more or less a case study on hard work versus talent/being born a woman and Goro was hard work and talent versus having the right connections/friends.

It'd be a pretty shitty mystery if they had so many clues that you knew who the killer was long before the game end.
So either you're wrong and they planned things like this a fair amount prior, or the writers were fucking retarded and changing it to someone like Adachi who doesn't show their true colors till their caught was the best possible accident that could have happened to the game. answer is probably the latter

Adachi was shit villain,also you can't read I just said he was the red herring originally so obviously they had some bits that made it seem 'obvious' that he was the killer, the problem with him being the villain is that they done it so late in development they kept the original clues that were supposed to be red herrings as the final games actual real clues. This was his original artwork he was to have the creepy mitsuo eyes (the finished games red herring) they obviously thought making adachi look like a nicer guy meant the scenes that make him look suspicious were no longer as suspicious. TLDR originally all the clues to adachi being the killer in P4 were supposed to be red herring clues.

It's a road that goes both ways user. Yes, you can put in all the hard work you want and get passed over by someone that has more natural talent, but you can also be an incredibly gifted individual and still get jack shit done if you don't put in the effort to nurture that skill/luck doesn't go your way/etc., while that spot gets taken by someone that worked their ass off. The world doesn't function in black and white, there are multiple factors that put you in your position in life, some in your control and some out of your control. It's what you do with the things in your control that can change the "predetermined" outcome, you can either move forward and put in the work to change your future or you can sit down and bitch about how unfair life is while everything around you stagnates like Adachi.

There are "magic tickets" in the world like he said, but that existing isn't an excuse to stop putting in effort and to make everyone else as miserable as you just because you're too lazy and jaded to take any action.

It's mostly Kanjifags that have an eternal stick up their ass because Yosuke teased him a few times through the game. It's really dumb because after a while and in dungeon dialog, Yosuke and Kanji actually become a lot friendlier and even joke around with each other, especially so in Golden which adds more scenes and events for them to interact together in.
