An independent game web site not beholden to publishers and in the wake of the 1UP.com death it was fantastic to have it there but with the passing of Ryan Davis, the whole website lost something that it never ever got back. The multiple hires of different people with varying views detract from the unified voice that used to be there. Even when Kleppick (sp?) Was there, the voice felt unified, that they all wanted the same thing for the website but Ryan's death fractured the site and the industry no longer needs Giant Bomb. The rise of Twitch has killed their Quick Looks because if I want to see a game and how it looks I just jump on Twitch and I have multiple streams to watch. The Bombcast also is a slog, it used to be a breezy 3 hour cast full of laughs but now I can't even listen.
