Will the final boss be a QTE again?
>The original game was set in the buildings and slums of fictional South American city Harran
Harran was supposed to be somewhere close to the middle east
god these fucking journos are retarded as shite
I hope they have more enemy variety than the first game.
Fuck this was disappointing, especially since there's such a buildup to actually get up to Rais in the first place at the top of the building
>make every choice count
Name me one (1) game that actually does this.
Choices will matter as much as they did in Telltale Games.
its a first person shooter, what the hell where u expecting? a dark souls type boss?
Chess

They are going to be varied and will also evolve

This game was so out of left field for me. Picked it on a whim as I love zombies and the parkour seemed neat. Ended up being my GOTY and one of my all time favorites. I don't know if I've ever gotten the "oh shit oh fuck oh nononononononono" feeling from anything more than getting caught in the middle of the night the first time in this game and then doing the bridge repair segments.
This was truly the only disappointing thing about the game but I'm not sure what they could have done for a decent final boss without making it a boring damage sponge slog.
>announced a year ago
>still no release date
>keeps hyping itself up with blatantly false horseshit (MUH GORILLION CHOICES THAT ALL AFFECT THE GAME WORLD)
I'm still looking forward to it, but my concern grows. If it doesn't get a release date with a final trailer at E3, I'm assuming it will be DOA.
I hope this time there won't be a magical grappling hook that lets you fly anywhere. Made the game trivial.
>being this homosexual
Grappling hook was fun as fuck and it had a cooldown so you couldn't just incessantly spam it anyway
You can't make ammo rare enough so get just rid of guns
Instead of removing it add an enemy that intercepts it
>if you are in the air this enemy will attempt to pounce you mid air
Sounds annoying and retarded
you'r looking at a mirror lmao
its a window to ur house lol
Fucking seething ahahah
Oh no, Hollywood, what are you writing???
>aim-to-make-every-choice-count-in-next-outing
We've heard this since Fable, i'm not holding my breath.
>"This is an open-world game where you should treat the narrative as a gameplay mechanic.”
Oh fuck Techland no. You can't do stories.
I just wanted more interesting AI what the fuck are you doing?
It's only gonna boil down to "this outpost flies this banner instead of that one and people will use one different voice line and maybe give you a different daily ration of consumables, just focus on making the map and core gameplay really satisfying and ignore muh meaningful quests. Dying Light had a shit storyline but was still enjoyable because it was just fun to roam around the slums and kill zombies.
Are they going to add a BR mode like they did with their already existing title only to piss off a good chunk?
Will it be on the Epic Store?
was the first one any good?
Nobody expected anything that spectacular but they could at least make it an actual fight
>its a first person shooter
did you even play it?
Yeah, it's a pretty solid game and Techland pumped out free updates for years after release. The strongest part is definitely the free roam and general feel of the parkour, combat etc while the flaws essentially boil down to:
boring story
few/no likeable characters
repetetive looting animations that deter you from looting
significant power creep in terms of weapon/enemy health and damage
fighting humanoids sucks unless you have guns
Fighting humans sucked in that game though, you either shot them (boring for a boss), chucked a molotov at their feet (boring for a boss) or mashed M1 at them and hope that they didn't parry it ten times in a row.
True but they could've made him turn into a zombie or use a vehicle or super heavy armour. Basically any excuse to make it an actual fight.
>the main villain mutates and turns into a big angry monster
Would also have been a cliche.
I guess the entire tower and the stuff you had to go through to get to him was the real boss fight but sure, it was pretty disappointing in general but the DL story never appealed to me. I didn't like Crane or anyone in the Tower for that matter, I just did the missions to unlock more shit.
How about make it a consumable item with finite uses before you make more or return to a safe point to recharge it or something, so you cant spam it within reason. Never been a fan of removing features, itd be like removing the wing suit in Just Cause, just because it makes things easier doesnt make removing it result in a better game.
Yeah but it would've been fun. It's not like the writing wasn't already a bit shit
Arena style ""bossfights"" are always massive lazy copouts
Just don't use it? You get it towards the end of the skilltree and if you haven't already maxed out then you lose out in parkour experience by using it all the time. It's only an issue if you don't like it being used in multiplayer.
They actually did a decent boss fight in The Following expansion.
Leaker here: There's been talks for Dying Light 2 to be an Epic Exclusive.
Enjoy it.
It was alright, but I hated the buggies.
>game's strongest element is the parkour and movement
>make an entire DLC about driving around in a car
All I need from this game are two things; a better UI (and for that matter, crafting multiples of an item at once), and better exp distribution in co-op, even if it means getting less overall. I hated playing with two friends and finishing the game as the only one with a grappling hook.
Its was certainly different, cant deny that. I mean as far as DLC goes I love when a game takes a left turn and adds whole new mechanics to it instead of just adding another area and storyline.
I thought it's Turkey or somesuch
>make-every-choice-count
yea you and every other game out there
Is it not a first person game with guns?
Wouldn't surprise me at all. I would love to support the developers, but I refuse to buy anything on Epic Games. So if that happens then I'll pirate it instead.
>focus on human fights
Into the fucking trash. They were the worst thing about the first game.
>Dying-Light-2-Release-Date-News
>Dying Light 2 does not currently have a release date, but
What a god damn clickbait title.
Just like every other Epic exclusive I'll pirate the shit out of it no matter how much I loved the first one. Fuck Epic and their "its totally ok to keep giving Tencent more control of the industry because big money in our greedy, shill pockets despite the fact megacorps like it are going to fuck our asses bloody soon enough" oh and their "fuck the consumer they wont decide shit about which company should exist we'll just buy everything with china money until we monopolize everything and kill the industry". I wish I could watch the throat of every fucking Epic higher up get cut
>yfw they will remove the volatiles so no more turbo-adrenaline run during the night with your friends
the game went full retard with the rpg elements. It makes no sense to hack a human neck with a machete 20 times and the bandit not dying. But you level a little bit and you can kill them with your bare hands,
Epic reimburses games that get low sales so really Tencent is the only one that loses when you pirate their exclusives.
Basically you're morally obligated to pirate it at that point.
>implying volatiles are scary after your first few encounters with them
They're pretty easy to lose
Any gameplay footage yet? I'm really wary of them removing day zombies, I had a lot of fun decapitating them
Volatiles have already been confirmed to be in the game.
oooh, the morally upstanding incel, supporting one megacorporation over the other. hope you'll kill yourself eventually
>yet another zomby survival game
I wrote it off as shit meme game after they paid Pewdiepie to play it live on E3 in 2013. Eventually picked it up due to great feedback, and holy shit it was great.
Story is 5/10 but I never care about story. Gameplay is 10/10, it's fun as fuck to explore, run around rooftops and smash zombies. Them comes the night time and entire game changes. It's tense and legit scary. Awesome
oh noe, le fortnite store let's boycot it guys, that'll show them
Bait
They better add a permanent night mode, even on nightmare difficulty the nights were too short and it was a pain in the ass to constantly return to safe houses to sleep twice just to toggle the cycle back to night.

Yeah, it feels like bait at this point. Why do they keep releasing games like this?
It better have Be the Zombie game-mode again, but this time without cheaters.
Hellraid died for this
gameplay was great
too bad I never finished it; the story was boring
I just got my fill unlocking all the safe houses, and fucking around doing night raids
>80% forgot to disable multiplayer and immediately leave when you invade them
>50% of the remaining 20% just camp inside a safe zone and wait for you to leave
>another 30% just flat out cheats
>10% are fucking awful and think they're still playing single player and can't understand why something keeps killing them
>10% are actually pretty decent (or too good) at the game
Being a zombie was suffering
Nice troll consolebro
XCOM
>troll
Cope. Epic is throwing massive cash at any publisher with a big name PC release coming up. It's almost guaranteed at this point.
Hello Sonybro
>10% are actually pretty decent (or too good) at the game
There was some real balancing issues - the zombie seems too strong when you're a wee noob but it is actually severely underpowered against even a half competent player.
And fuck cheaters.
This
Nice
kek
it is mass effect and fable all over again.
Why do people STILL fall for it?
I'm gonna pirate it anyway so who tf cares??
>parkour and movement
>halfway in you get almighty grappling hook
From the people who bought you "Far Cry New Dawn is the same game as Far Cry 5" comes a new masterpiece, "Dying Light: The Following should have been mechanically identical to Dying Light because I hate change."
