So over ten years ago, my cousin had this game. I think it was on either PS2 or original Xbox. I've been on a huge nostalgia kick and wish I could remember it, but haven't had any luck thus far. It's a dungeon/maze like game, I remember. That involved treasure chests and loot. I think the graphics were somewhat dingy, and you played a single character. It's been so long that I don't remember what the combat looked like. I've been trying to find screenshots but search engines are shit when you have such sparse information. I do remember the colors being sort of dark, but the potions having a high contrast, and maybe a slight glow effect in their icon.
Help remembering game
Nigger I want to help you but you gave next to no valuable information that could lead to an answer.
Yeah that's the problem, the only things I still even remember are common to literally every dungeon game ever.
Dark Cloud
From what I recall, this game was colder in atmosphere. Not snowy, but more dark colors/night lighting, possibly actually underground but not necessarily. Paths were more linear, and there wasn't any manga/anime styling influence
Baldur's Gate maybe?
The environments weren't as good.
Was it King's Field?
I believe it was third person/top-down.
Was it the Baldur's Gate games on the original xbox?
To the best of my memory, there was no overarching plot.
Gauntlet?
Dark Angel?
The bards tale?
Afraid not.
Seems stylistically similar, but still too "open".
It was simpler in motion than these games. More maze-ish.
Enclave?
Probably not it, but Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land comes to mind when you say dungeon/maze/treasure/dreary.
Neither, but thanks for looking.
One of the Hunter games maybe?
Drakan: The Ancients' Gates
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Champions: Return to Arms
You are probably remembering one of the key details wrong which is why you are having a hard time finding it.
That could be the case.
It really sounds like the Dark Alliance/Champions of Norrath games.
Blaze and Blade? It's crap, forget about it.
