What went right?
Mass Effect

I liked how if you dont put stats into weapons then your shepard wont aim well. I love stats that work like that
Why does Miranda wear high heels in combat?
An entire race of wide hipped bitches in face masks and skinsuits
Bioware was actually trying to make an RPG rather than an alien friend simulator.
Garrus and Wrex
fuckable aliens
Big epic self insert fantasy.
We unironically need more of this.
I just know the guys
No shared cooldowns.
If by "entire race" you mean "one person"
Reminder Mass Effect was never good in the first place.
Reminder that there are almost daily ME threads on Yea Forums.
>REEE STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE
stay mad loser.
And neither was Halo
This is correct but it WAS ahead of it’s time and therefore beloved.
Kill your morher
Tasteless faggots jerking eachother off about how much they love eating shit doesn't mean that post is wrong.
Halo was better than Mass Effect by a huge maragin.
>REE STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE
Again, stay mad.
literally nothing
the game/series is awful
wait... i guess the fact that mass effect games are no longer being made is the only thing that went right
>There will never be another space opera RPG as ambitious and good as this.
FUCK!!!!!
>comparing two vastly different games
the art and sound direction
as much as people bitch about all the bases looking the same, it makes sense if they're prefab bases and outposts
AND I NEED YOU TO RECOVER
Halo finished the trilogy without trying to come up with some retarded and unnecessary explanation for the Flood. ME1 set it up so it spent the first game not answering it, the second game avoiding it, and third game being so awful it retroactively ruins the previous two which mostly stood up on writing/world building rather than gameplay.
Even within the context of prefabricated structures there's plenty of room to make things stand out and seem unique besides different layout and boxes

god, everytime i visit a thread, I listen to this from shepards radio to set the ambience.
is there a game with better side-missions than ME2?
aka Noveria. How do you not realize what it is.
both of these
only with the first game of course
I spent a lot fo time in shepards room for maximum comfy, thats just instilled into my brain.
That's the captain's cabin, by the way. And he's a commander. And technically not even military anymore.
Is there a game with good side missions that doesn't completely abandon the main mission to do it?
Naval tradition dictates that whoever is in command of the vessel is called Captain, regardless of their actual rank
Except in case of Commander Shepard
Because in ME2 someone thought they were being clever by making it a Quarian cultural thing so obviously Shepard has to object to being called "Captain" when he visits the Flotilla, despite the fact he should be used to it by now
