Not that guy. There is nothing wrong with that, but for collabs you kinda want to do something more creative that just playing old sexy outfits. At least that's for me.

Playboy bunnygirl outfits get drawn year-round. It's very tangentially easter-related compared to decorated eggs or baskets. Like I said, I love it as a sexy outfit, but I never really have to wait until easter for people to draw it.
It's says pajama or playboy on the Stawpoll. The fact that there are options is nice, but it seems pretty obvious that it's winning because of the sexy option.
Draw something else then to fit the theme of the collab. Besides, we know what people want. Saying its boring is the equivalent of SJW's saying comic superheroines are boring because they are "all too sexy". And that is how we land up in this mess where most comic superheroines are too clothed up, too feminist or too ugly (at least in Marvel).

The most fair and balanced option, in my humble opinion, is one where the background artist decides the theme, and everyone goes for it. Cuts out the polls, cuts out the arguing, effectively cutting out any bullshit drama.

They own the rights to the CHARACTER of Morrison, but not the rights to the art and design made by Studio Madhouse. So Capcom owns the concept of "A man named Morrison who brings Dante jobs" but they don't own the design of "Butler-looking man with brown facial hair, white skin, and two thirds of a three-piece suit." So if Patty ever did show up, she might get away with being a clearly older design, but the original "Long curly blonde haired girl in frilly knee-length dresses and has freckles and blue hair" would not be available without buying the rights from Madhouse, which would be pointless.
Remember, theres a difference between a delivery, a joke delivery and a bad delivery, but all of them gotta stay SFW and vidya.

So in DMC's case, they hired Madhouse to design and animate, Toshiki Inoue to write, someone else to do the music, etc. Chances are, Capcom never included in the contract with Madhouse that "characters created for the show belong to us" but DID have that clause with Inoue. Animation studios don't have writers unless it's an all in-house production, like what Trigger does (which is extremely rare and why everyone loved Trigger for being underdogs).
