I'd say so. FEH is a disappointment that doesn't take advantage of the fact that it's a huge FE crossover at all and just focuses on OCs no one cares about and Fates. GBF is by no means perfect but it's certainly a lot more enjoyable to play. If FEH had enjoyable events like pic related on a regular basis I probably wouldn't have dropped it.

I started playing GBF in anticipation for Versus and Relink. And also needed something to do at my office job. The art style is also sizzling hot fire. Spending money on these games is so stupid, not sure why you would do it you get a lot of free stuff. The game itself is pretty good, a lot of cool skill interactions which is what you want in what is practically a JRPG without dungeon or overworld just going from cutscene to battle repeat.

It's a series of games where you grind to see bigger numbers, and the main gimmick is you "roll" for the characters you want like a toy in a quarter machine. With those characters being unequal in strength meaning you have to roll a lot to make sure you get the stronger ones you want.
They can make a fun pass time when you have nothing to do at work. If you are interested I recommend Grand blue because it's very generous in giving out free stuff. I have some of the best characters in the game without having to spend a dime thanks to all the free stuff they give out.

Have to accept those risks man. You lose it's your own fault. My dumbass got lucky at the last Flash though. If I had enough free rolls I could get Alexiel my spark target early. I got jipped for rolls on the last day. I cracked since I didn't have the will power built up in this game yet and rolled my 150 rolls worth of crystals. See if it wasn't for hindsight I should have stopped here during the moment I ended up with Shiva (character) in my first 10 roll. My dumbass for some reason didn't think that was good enough for some reason and kept going. I even got a second Shiva along the way all the way down to my second last 10 roll where I had the miracle of getting Alex. Heart was exploding through my chest and I was so relived I got her. Even got Titan along the way too
Would I recommend it though? FUCK NO. The despair that I could have got if I didn't get anything would have me depressed since I just pushed back my guarantee till months ahead. Be patient and you'll get them for sure sooner rather than later. Sorry for your loss. At least you got the free 12000 crystals and didn't spend them on this banner too. Right?

You missed a lot with the Christmas and Anniversary Roulette, we also got a good 12000 crystals during the april fool.
But basically, you can try to get light SSR ferry by reroll since you get a SSR at the start of the game.
Otherwise, when you are able to do 300 pulls (from crystals and tickets), you can use all of them on the same banner to get sparks, at 300 sparks you can choose the character in the current banner.
Dark Ferry is in the Legfest banner which happen at the end of every month, so she is easy to get when you want to spark.
You have a lot of crystals and tickets to get when you start the game with the story and side stories, but like I said, you missed a lot.
I started during the christmas event and was already able to spark during the Anniversary (and since I used a 50% discount thanks to the free roulette pulls, I'm already at 220/300 for my next one).

Man, thats rough you didn't start in march. It was minimum 10 free character rolls a day, usually more, and a lot of free crystals.
That said, I played casually after starting just after a big event when I began as well. You'll probably still enjoy it, and GBF is very generous with the free stuff it gives players compared to other gachas. Letting players who save their rolls to mass dump on a character they want, eventually letting them just get them if they roll enough times (sparking) is pretty crazy.
I use Chrome on my phone for it, and most suggest chrome on PC as well. I just have a phone tab always open on it, as well as bookmarked.
I kinda hate chrome on PC, but I'll use it for GBF if I feel like doing anything on PC.
I hope you get a good starting roll, just to make up for missing the anniversary event, user.

Your ideal M1 grid should be 5 swords, Baihu, 2 EX, Uriel fist, 1 Coda. You can flex out the sword if you have a good mainhand you want to use.

You dont have any wind SSRs but Helnar and SR korwa are decent for when you star making team for it
Cailana is top tier water SR so use her with kat or IO depending on the fight (kat brings damage cut, io has clear)
Your fure Srs are alright but heles could probably still be better than them even if she is garbage, run cuc as third member
Favorite all your gacha summons so you dont accidentally reduce them. Ca ong is great to run as sub summon for water to get that damage cut, Gorilla has a strong stamina buff and titan can save your newbie ass against strong triggers.
Use magna summons (the ones that drop from raids) as main when you get them to 3* and go check the gbf.wiki

use a summon on the first wave and save Awakening Blade for the second just in case of swarms. 4* Sarasa can also one-shot the swarm with Ground Zero but I doubt you have her.

There are only 10 of those and they're only good once you get to HL. Once you get the chev swords those pendants go to improving your grid, but the swords are useless to you now compared to the daggers you could get

Fully upgraded seraphic weapons give you a good chunk of HP, IIRC you can't get those until 101+ though.
Uncapped SSR summons are your initial source of HP.
Party HP EMPs aren't a thing until rank 155 so don't worry about that for now.
So basically use big weapon stat sticks if you can, farm free summons if you can and just play more. Have fun.

The Gatcha/Gambling aspect is a pretty big turn off for me, but even looking exclusively at the gameplay, those games are garbage.
The best one I've tried so far is Fire emblem heroes, and it's still far from an actual Fire emblem game(which is already a very easy game franchise).

Depends on the character. For the most part it helps a lot, but some characters have garbage ones so you usually don't invest in them.
For MC you should at least grab atk and hp/party hp for every new class. Don't use it on any class that isn't row 4 or EX2 though unless it's mechanic.
