there's even theories that your brain starts to just make the sound up after a certain amount of time and it's no longer actually there.

I used to use q-tips far deep into the canal for years. When I stopped for a few months after running out of Q-tips and repeatedly forgetting to buy new ones, the very next time I used them again I pulled out a glob of wax as big as my fingernail out of each ear.

What I do is lie on my side and pour several drops of medicinal hydrogen peroxide undiluted (you can dilute it with water if you want. That is probably the proper way to do it. I'm a yolo) into each ear and let it bubble for 5 minutes. Then get paper towels to drain it.

Also don't listen to loud things for a prolonged period of time.

I had tinnitus in my left ear for like a month. After cleaning out my ear a bit one day, I manged to make it go away. I don't know how I did it because that shit never works. Anyway, it was a really weird sensation. It felt like I had enhanced hearing spidey sense shit for about 30 minutes.

I've had tinnitus most of my life. I don't really know what caused it, as I've never been one to listen to music at obscene volumes, and aside from going to a couple concerts in my early teens I've never been exposed to anything that could permanently fuck up my ears.

You get used to it after a while. I forgot I even had tinnitus for like 10 years or so until someone here brought it up sometime around October last year. It annoyed me for a few months after that, but other problems consumed me to the point that I forgot about it again. I still remember I have it sometimes on days where it might be louder than normal, but in general it doesn't bother me. I can imagine that if you've lived your whole life without it and suddenly you have an incurable ringing in your ears it might drive to you irrational things, but you really do get used to it.

Maybe? I got them randomly in highschool. I guess dizzy might be it but when I associate being high with comfy where with this I feel like I have to "hold on" I guess for literally a second and then it just fizzles away.

Mine sounds like the subtle, high pitched frequency you can hear from certain electronics being on. I don't notice it most of the time and when I do it doesn't bother me.
