Velo can stay, but Zem and Zam got to go. Replace them with Nash and Norm, they are the only other memorable characters from CNK. Trophy Girl is fine assuming the other girls are unlockable in-game skins. Slap in Nina somewhere and I'd say we are good.

Was hoping best buy would have it so I could make the most out of my remaining GCU. At least the extra stuff is just a download either way so I could just get the game for 20% off anyway and get the DLC on PSN whenever it's finished.

Yeah I agree they're very forgettable even in their own game even though I like Zam's design. Trimming the fat may be a good idea but only if they replace them with staple characters like Brio and Tawna.

Maybe if they had put more effort into his design to help him stand out like Oxide, I'd like him more but as it stands, he's just sort of Velo as a dog. CNK has notoriously boring new characters like that baboon "muh Terra" and that generic robot. I'd rather just have Velo, and then Nash (a shark that has a breathing apparatus for coming on land fits in perfectly with Crash's cast of mutated animals) and Norm (genuinely weird, stands out from every other boss racer).

Getting filler characters removed and getting CB1 fan service is a win-win for most people.
Zam is whatever but hes somehow worse than a literal nobody. Either make him worthwhile or not at all. Same goes for any other 1off characters that people want for some reason.

I think this was a perfect opportunity to make a hidden "forbidden one" picture and you blew it.

Velo is superior to Oxide in everything. The only thing Oxide had going for him were his hovercraft and his voice and now they're both gone.

Add Rilla Roo and Nina and it's 10/10

Yeah it was surprisingly fun, the tag gimmick actually resulted in some cool combos (though IIRC one was ridiculously OP and made everything else redundant). The platforming was nothing to write home about, but at least the characters and music carried it through

This happened with DMC5 in the UK (and maybe other parts of Europe), the only way to get the deluxe version physically was through Game with a mediocre steelbook at a higher cost, and as a result people bought digital instead. It's like the stores are trying to sabotage themselves.
