2. The majority of what I "pirate" isn't even available for me to buy except maybe secondhand for absurd prices
3. Region locking and pricing is absurd
4. If the game is good, I can participate in discussion and advocate for it as opposed to not doing so otherwise. If it's bad I didn't give a cent to the devs.
5. Demos are non-existent. YouTube exists but isn't that a form of piracy itself? Many companies think so.

Overall IP law is fundamentally broken and the world barely scrapes by as is but the alternatives in either direction are pretty scary for everyone.
