Building a pc is more trouble than its worth. I've been trying to correct a motherboard OS conflict for three days now. Tempted to just upgrade to Windows 10 at this point.

I bought all the parts and have a 2080TI but can't decide on a monitor. Should I go 4k or ultrawide?

Ultrawide isnt supported by a lot of games, thats why i decided against one.

Id also go with a bigger 1440p monitor with a 120-144hz refresh rate.

2080ti can drive a 4k monitor at like 60-80fps in most games, but most 4k monitors are only 60hz.

If you dont want buttery smooth framerates why even bother, my man.

Upgraded from a 980TI to a 2080. This thing is a beast in 4k. Pretty much locked 60 fps at max settings.

just put the motherboard driver disc in your optical drive when you boot off a USB install key

I built a pc and the superiority over it confuses me even more now because the most difficult parts were finding good lighting and getting all the cables to fit in the back panel. Shit is braindead easy to do.

The only things I wish I'd known before were that the RAM stick takes a surprising amount of force to click in, and to mount the motherboard last

In most cases? Yeah it is. Only worth it if your gpu it's liquid cooled
