When it's high is shoots big balls which fly across the ground toward you and home in somewhat, when it's low it shoots a flurry of little balls at you in an arc. When it get's real low it sucks everything in and heals itself, and i believe does some damage to you if you get sucked near.

we were just tired cause we'd bombed on three or four regular runs at that point and just wanted to go buck with our boy

play mul-t solo
find the first two teleporters asap, rail gun is really good long distance, if you're getting fucked up by the boss just run away and heal while sniping
get to stage 3 and find the timer chest, in my experience it always drops the Q item that does about 1billion damage but i forgot the name, it can clear out a ton of enemies and do about 50% to a boss around that time
grab all the chests on lvl3 and you should be good to go for the rest unless you get trash items

Did a cheat run to see how stupid things got, it was fun for the first two hours but after a while enemies just straight up stopped spawning making each level about two minutes of high octane violence and another two of sitting and waiting for a teleporter to pop.
