Movement is especially awful in DK64, you're always spamming jumps and rolls everywhere just to have something to do while you walk through the huge empty fields and corridors.

Diddy Kong Racing was miles ahead of Mario Kart 64 for me. Miles and miles. Gameplay, soundtrack, single player all on point. Goldeneye Diidy Kong Racing and GB Battletoads for me, in that order. Maybe throw a little Killer Instinct 1 in there, in 4th place.

Unironically Sea of Thieves. It's a rushed and far too ambitious project but still the greatest game I've ever played with friends despite all of its shortcomings. The naval combat carries it hard. It actually requires precise communication and teamwork to outmaneuver other ships.
