This 4channel April Fool's joke is a GAME and I'm gonna teach you the secrets and how to WIN.
>1. Like more posts
Every time you like a post, you get points. If you're begging for likes and not liking any other posts, you're essentially losing points.
>2. ALWAYS use an option
If you use any* option (showscore etc.), other people see it, which encourages them to accumulate points as well. Thus, gookmoot graciously gives you points every time you use one, incentivizing you to advertise the game. And yes, rarer options will give you more points than the common options.
>3. Reply to people
You get more points if you link to another post in the thread. Obviously interacting with other users is more valuable than vacuous posts. HOWEVER, you have to put SOME effort into your reply. See the next point.
>4. DO NOT SHITPOST
This one needs explaining. As you know, gookmoot has been running a lot of experiments on the site after purchasing it from moot, such as branching SFW boards onto 4channel and covertly injecting hexadecimal tags into images you post. However, you're probably unfamiliar with his very first Yea Forums experiment, one that is still underway to this very day.
Semantic analysis. Simply put, a few weeks after Hiro took over, all your posts were analyzed for its style and content. It's not a novel concept and people have been working on it for years, but Yea Forums is unique and Hiro knew that over the long run, this would be his best bet to make reliable money off this shithole. So, since they already had the system in place and running for years now, they decided to plug it into their little game.
TLDR: If your post looks like it's too "low effort," you get fewer points.
5. SECRET: Report posts that break the rules
If your report results in any action being taken (warning, ban, etc), you get A LOT of points. Just remember that spamming shitty reports can get YOU banned too.
There are some other ways to gain points too, but these are the best ways.
