Because the fanbase is almost as bad as BotW's fanbase in terms of being retarded drones who defend every single flaw
you've been on Yea Forums too long
the fucking posture system is bullshit
because i don't even play videogames anymore
It's too hard.
it's not a ps4 exclusive
I don't hate it but I don't like it either.
Instead of light attack mash like the other souls games it turned into guard mash.
it's not on the Switch
Adding more complexity made it feel much more sloppy. I rarely feel like I actually beat an enemy and more often that the game just randomly let me win.
Previous games were very simple (mostly just R1 and circle) but they still were challenging enough and, unless you used summons or cheesed, victory always felt earned.
I don't, I just think that while it's a good game it isn't as great as Souls or Bloodborne.
Because it tries to do several things and all of them end up utterly mediocre and shallow. It tries to have a cool and dynamic combat, but it ends up being deflect-trading. It tries to have stealth, but enemies are blind, deaf, and static, and the maps aren't designed around it. It tries to be vertical with the grappling hook and jumping, but the grapple points and climbing surfaces are all predetermined. And all of those things often conflict with each other in their design, breaking the game even further.
There's nothing this game does really well.😃
because fuck video games
>I don't understand the mechanics therefore the game is random
Great job user, you're definitely not mentally challenged.
While it's a well-made game, I don't like the gameplay at all. I'm not 20 anymore and my reflexes suck dick so I'm having trouble with parry based systems.
Besides that there's some other inconsistent behavior, like hyper armor on bosses. Sometimes you can knock them out of their attack easily, sometimes they'll power trough it and take off 70% of your health bar. It seems random which attacks do and do not have hyper armor.
Hyper armor ruined the final boss for me (spear phase). It was a great fight otherwise.
>doesn't understand what sloppy means
wish I had your brain so that I could fully understand the intricate combat system of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Here are the things I don´t like about this game, became from a 9/10 a 7.5-8/10.
>get all the items that twink wants from you
>suddenly mobs become minibosses
>place where the one "anime samurai boss" was are now two faggots
>suddenly chained ogre in out of nowhere and what if his grabs one shot you lol
Also, no other weapons, no infusing and I was too much on Yea Forums so many stuff have been spoiled like you fight the dad and then I went on the shitty wiki and saw that you fight him again.
Otherwise pretty good from game. I hope they release another one pretty soon.
even snoygoys jokes are multiplat
After playing DMC5 i realized that the combat in fromsoft games is slow and boring. I loved them back then because there was nothing like them, but now the git gud meme doesn't really hold up. Combat doesn't have to be slow for a game to be hard especially Ninja Gaiden Black proves that. I'm glad some anons recommended that game to me a few days ago, It just shits all over fromsoft in both difficulty and gameplay. DMC5 on Dante must Die too. These 2 are a perfect example of git gud. Fast Stylish combat combined with challenging enemy battles and great bosses. The only things that make from games interesting now is their unique settings and enemy designs but that's about it.
Kids game.
but I like it.
I love it
best action game ever made
oh this paste again kek
>dmc5 not slow and boring
kek
I've platinumed the game and there's literally nothing else to do
At least with a Souls game I could go do multiplayer
I don't, it's FromSofts best game
When has anyone defended a flaw Sekiro has? You people are just retarded, like legitimately really unintelligent and try to claim stuff like "it has 1 weapon" are flaws, when they are not.
You never bring up the actual flaws of the game, which are really minor, like camera angle fucking up if you get backed into a corner during battle. Just don't get cornered.
You can activate a hard mode where you take huge chip damage through blocking, and mashing L1 mostly ends up blocking attacks not parrying them.
Why blame the game when you chose to play "easy" mode where you can just mash the parry button.
You have been here too fucking long and doing nothing but absorb all the irony. The OST was garbage, but it is a great game.
>Randomly let me win
More like you button mashed and managed to press the right ones without any understanding. Which works on every goddamn game out there.
?
What even are these complaints
>suddenly mobs become minibosses
What do you mean? Did you mean to say the ninja minibosses became normal enemies in late game? Yeah that is kind of normal progression of a game, enemies get harder the further you go.
>place where the one "anime samurai boss" was are now two faggots
So? Optional fight, just go around them on the roof if you don't want to fight them. Besides it's really easy since you can just Puppeteer ninjutsu the other ninja and then you have an ally against the miniboss ninja.
>suddenly chained ogre in out of nowhere and what if his grabs one shot you lol
Which ogre are you referring to, the one in Ashina Outskirts at the end of the game? Again, optional. He doesn't even drop a Prayer Bead because it's not a miniboss ogre, it has only 1 healthbar and drops nothing. Just run past it to the boss.
>no other weapons
That's a good thing. If it had other weapons, the combat would have been worse. How does Yea Forums not get this? The combat is only so good because it was entirely built around your katana.
>no infusing
Again, good. That would allow you to outscale your damage to completely trivialize the game. This is not an RPG, this is an action game. It is not supposed to let you outlevel the enemies.
Mute points since:
- You are powered up so much that you are stronger than the first time you fight them
- You got the ninjutsu of mind control and can make one of them fight for you, which makes the fight easier, he can even kick the other guy out of the arena and he dies after the mind control is over
- The chained ogre as the base of the castle is easier thanks to your increased power and vitality + tool upgrades + more gourd heals
You literally cannot win in the previous souls games by button mashing. Rolling and attacking at the wrong time is severly punished. One mistake can end your life.
This is still, to some degree, the case in Sekiro but here mashing buttons can sometimes work.
Not versatile in terms of playstyle. Probably just comes from the posture system and only having one weapon.
I prefer playing slow and methodical, slowly chipping away at health. But in Sekiro, that is never an advantage, and in fact makes some bosses impossible to beat.
Also, the tracking on some attacks is just dumb as fuck. Feels very artificial.
Only casual virgins that can only play weabo turn based or grind to power hate it.
In easy mode, sure. But activate Kuro's Charm so that you take damage through blocking, and mashing L1 will never work again, you will actually need to perfectly time every parry to not get killed.
Don't blame the game, you're the one choosing to play it on an easier difficulty.
Nigga, I abused the exp grind bug in Dark Souls. So instead of spending 100 hours to grind stats like a retard, I did it in 30 mins. Same results though, I ate my dinner while winning over Gwyn or what his face. You can win in Dark Souls and any other souls game with stats alone coupled with button mashing. You can not do it on Sekiro without super luck.
>game gets good in NG+
epic
Why would you lie on the internet?
>Previous games were very simple (mostly just R1 and circle) but they still were challenging enough and, unless you used summons or cheesed, victory always felt earned.
>victory always felt earned.
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF HAHAHAHAHAHA
No one said that. The game gets good right from the start in NG, it just gets actually really challenging in NG+, and your entire little whiny rant was about it being too easy with spamming L1.
Besides, L1 spam does not work in many situations. There is no way you won Owl and Sword Saint with L1 spam, even in NG.
You have no valid complaints here.
game is great its even better at ng+
just go back to your souls brainlet
Because it's a mix between Tenchu and Bloodborne.
It's stealth is a joke compare to Tenchu, and it's combat is a joke compare to Bloodborne.
Very disappointed.
Its stealth sure is dumb, but the combat is a million times better than Bloodbornes, you're an idiot to say otherwise.
I FUCKING DID IT BOYS, just beat it. Final boss took me 7 hours of fucking trial and error, my left hand kills from parrying so much.
Way fucking harder than dank souls
I Don't hate it just don't like it much. I thought it was me at first from being bad at the combat but once i got the dark souls out my system and started making progress i realized i didn't really like the combat much.
Yeah, it's so fun to play a game with 0 versatility that forces you into one specific playstyle. Good design.
I don't spam L1 and it wasn't me who brought it into this converation.
By saying that game felt sloppy compared to previous Souls games I meant things like:
- bad hitboxed are more apparent
- input buffering still exists when it absolutely fucking shouldn't
- tracking is insane sometimes
- if you badly time a deflect it still blocks the attack. in previous games you would just die
All of these can be mitigated by skillfull play and I don't really mind them. All I said is that the game F E E L S more sloppy.
Yes, it is when the combat is good, retard. And the combat is a million times better than Bloodbornes lmfao.
Tons of the most legendary games of history only have one weapon or playstyle, like, literally every classic Zelda game. Do they suck because your only melee weapon is the Master Sword? Does Crash Bandicoot suck because you don't have different builds and stats to level up?
Holy fuck you RPG niggers are unintelligent.
I don't consider a game which heavily favor parrying to be fun.
To add to that, the fact that you can parry a giant hammer/club swinging downwards with your thin sword... My suspension of disbelief only goes so far
You haven't even played it.
>- bad hitboxed are more apparent
I've not seen a single bad hitbox, except for grab attacks.
Playing Sekiro, the combat design was so disappointing I turned it off and play Nioh.
I love the fountainhead palace so much. It's the most beautiful area of a fromsoft game yet.
>- bad hitboxed are more apparent
>- input buffering still exists when it absolutely fucking shouldn't
GO BACK TO YOUR SOULS REDDITOR
Is Nioh any good? The combat in Sekiro was meh at best. But Nioh doesn't look that much better?
>bad hitboxed are more apparent
But it has far better hitboxes than them lol. Literally perfect ones actually, your hitbox is exactly the size of your character model.
>input buffering still exists when it absolutely fucking shouldn't
No it doesn't? It literally has action canceling. If you press any other action during an action, it cancels the one that was starting up or happening and switches to the other action. Like you can mid animation cancel an attack into a dodge or parry. It has no input buffering.
>tracking is insane sometimes
Only the ogre. One enemy in the game has ridiculous tracking, boohoo.
>if you badly time a deflect it still blocks the attack. in previous games you would just die
If you time it early, sure. If you time it late, you eat the hit. Also bosses do massive chip damage through blocking a lot of the time.
Also, you can activate a hard mode where EVERY ENEMY deals massive chip damage through blocking, which means blocking becomes completely unviable.
You literally have no valid complaints and the only sloppy thing here is your thought process.
Im huge nioh fan
but sekiro is a great game wtf are you doing man
>unironically defending input buffering
That's a funny joke. Nioh has terrible combat compared to Sekiro. Only a huge retard would think Nioh is anything above a 6/10 game.
Guys where to go after killing illusion monk?
You get more than 7 weapons to choose from, you have 3 different stances with each weapon type. Spear, Sword, Axe, chain and ball, tonfa, dual-sword, etc.
you can use additional ability like Ninjutsu and some YingYang Magic.
There's TONS more unlock-able skills
And it's a lot faster.
>Zelda
I have never seen anyone praise that dumber down retarded combat, it's mediocre by today's standards, and even BotW at least gives you different kinds of weapons which proves how retarded your point is
>Crash
That's a platformer combat is the last thing that comes in mind
And do you thing variety in build van only be in RPGs? There Fighting games with different playstyles for each character take from that idea and put it in the game
Hitboxes still have some problems SOMETIMES.
Enemies with spears track more that they should.
>the only sloppy thing here is your thought process
could be
also I like the game
That's your personal opinion. Most people have no problem with parry mechanics. You can't just speak like your niche tastes are some universal truth about a game being bad, most people are loving Sekiro.
>the fact that you can parry a giant hammer/club swinging downwards with your thin sword... My suspension of disbelief only goes so far
You could do that in Souls games too mate.
Progress is Oniwa -> Genichiro -> Monk ghost = Donkey Kong Country -> Owl -> 5 or so more bosses.
In Souls, your character setting is not a stealthy ninja.
It doesn't have input buffering, no one is defending it. You're just a complete mongoloid retard it seems.
Like when? I have never seen anything but perfectly impeccable hitbox mechanics in the game.
>Enemies with spears track more that they should.
No they don't. It's a dude wielding a spear. Why would they not change their trajectory if you dodged too early? That's how it would go in real life too, you have to dodge at the very last moment so that they can't change the trajectory of their attack to you in time.
It's not that I hate it, just I don't find the setting or the bosses very memorable.
I don't, I didn't even know it existed until like three weeks ago.
Haven't played it, don't know what the fuck it is. Some samurai time travel shit or something, I dunno.
Damn donkey kong country is so hard i was hoping i could explore another area
You couldn't figure out a basic example? I could list hundreds of games with only one playstyle that are heralded as masterpieces of gaming history.
You are a fucking IDIOT to think everything has to be an RPG. Sekiro never tried to be an RPG, and From said from the get go that this is an action game, NOT an RPG. So stop crying when they delivered a game that is not an RPG.
Nothing with time travel in it lol
They can do a 180 in an instant sometimes. Also they impale you even when you're standing right next to them. That shouldn't be physically possible.
It can be, if you make a dexfag build. Any dex player can wield a katana and parry massive demon hammers with their bare hand if they want to.
Fuck your suspension of disbelief, it's fantasy. You literally kill dragons.
It literally does have input buffering. It's the most noticable on the jump. You must be delusional or just shitposting if you think it doesn't.
cause its too easy
>They can do a 180 in an instant sometimes
Bullshit, I have seen nothing of the sort. Post a WEBM of a spear user doing a 180 degree turn instantly. The most I've seen is like 45 degree turn during their thrust attack animation, and it was because I sidestepped too early.
Nigga just use Mikiri counter.
Well, then I just don't know what's in it other than some samurai looking dudes and maybe a prosthetic arm.
It doesn't matter if you can kill dragons, it's still suspension of disbelief when enemies change direction midair. Dumb combat system.
I don't think you understand what input buffering means. It is a mechanic that was in DS1 where if you pressed the inputs for several actions fast, it would put them in a stack and then play them out in the order you pressed buttons.
For example, if you pressed roll and then pressed drink estus button and R1 during the roll animation, after the roll animation finished, it would drink an estus and then do a light attack.
In Sekiro if you do that, it cancels your dodge animation into whatever action you pressed during the dodge.
It does not have input buffering, it has cancels. You can not have both.
Chill dude, we can disgust this in a cool matter
And again the examples you gave, while good games don't have what you claim Sekiro has which is good combat, and having variety in your combat system is not an RPG exclusive feature, and I'm not saying Sekiro should be an RPG either
Which is why Sekiro is shit.
In my opinion.
I was expecting a ninja game, what I got was an undead, athletic Samurai with personality as deep as puddle. And the supposed stealthy ninja can parry giant hammer that's being swung downward.
I don't enjoy the combat. There's no stagger, the enemies attack you while your slashing away at their faces. From keeps doing this thing where the bosses are at the end of a hallway full of enemies which you eventually just start running past because going through it every time is tedious.I'm on drunkard juuzou or whatever his name is now and having to go past all those guys everytime is annoying as shit. The stealth system is half assed, just the usual walk up behind and stab bullshit. There's not as much variety as in souls in terms of builds and ways to approach a situation. This dragonrot shit is not explained well enough. I died and suddenly I'm told that two characters have dragonrot, but the game gives no explanation of how to get rid of it, and why am I getting locked out of quests for dying? Really the most annoying thing is the way the enemies just tank all your attacks and having the entire game be based on blocking in time to get the prompt for an instant execution is boring.
I dont though. Its a breath of fresh air of the stagnat Souls franchise in terms of art direction and style.
But it isn't. Humans can do that in real life, why not in the game. Do you think if a spear wielder IRL is rushing at someone with the spear, and the enemy steps to the left, that the spear wielder would not change his trajectory towards the left to hit his target? Are you dumb?
If you press jump while midair you will jump again after landing. I think it's fair to call that input buffering.
I couldn't have fun in it like in Souls games. I wanna run meme builds.
But I love it
Ah, yes. Humans can throw their bodies at you and when you step to the side, we obviously change our direction 90 degrees.
Well first of all, you do not play as an undead in Sekiro. Sounds like you played it for 30 minutes or something, which really just invalidates your opinions on the game. Who cares what some scrub thinks.
>There's no stagger
Yes there is, both enemies and you can get staggered by attacks. Why lie?
>the enemies attack you while your slashing away at their faces
So parry it? Idiot
>There's not as much variety as in souls in terms of builds
Yeah it's not supposed to be an RPG moron.
>but the game gives no explanation of how to get rid of it
Yes it does, the game explains to you very well how to cure Dragonrot.
You are a massive fucking brainlet, holy shit.
Because it's a game with fantastic gameplay that does everything in it's power to try to not let you get into the gameplay.
It honestly feels like the people who designed the game and the people who designed the rest of the game were in two different rooms.
Like any hard game, you'd want to overcome a challenge, if an enemy is slapping your shit, you wanna get back up and try again until you get better and beat it. Sekiro?
>RIP YOUR RESOURCES
Which would be honestly totally fine on it's own, you can buy money bags and shit, but then on top of it:
>WOW HOW DARE YOU DIE IN A GAME DESIGNED TO KILL YOU, EVERYONE YOU KNOW IS LITERALLY DYING
It's a game with an advanced combat system that just expects you to have it mastered the second you turn on the game, despite being the first of it's kind. Dragonrot is part of the lore, but was implemented HORRIBLY from a gameplay perspective. What kind of challenging game actively tries to make you feel like shit for challenging yourself?
Then there's small other gripes which aren't a big deal but just add on to the pile:
>camera angles the worst from's had in ages
>OST very forgettable
>foreign aid being a RNG mechanic
>missables
Nice, just change your argument retard. We were talking about spear users in the game, now you're just suddenly acting like we were talking about the ogre, which I literally said has bullshit tracking?
You are so fucking pathetic, you have no arguments so you have to resort to lying and schemes.
Its a great game but has no replay value. No builds, no weapons, no nothing. Exploration is also useless since all you find are stupid balloons or sugar times 100
I'm not him, you fucking brainlet. I'm a different guy. I've changed no argument.
In other words, the combat is too hard for you.
Calm down dude, Dragonrot doesn't do anything. It's harmless, it does not kill NPCs.
Also the OST is for sure their best one yet, you deaf or just not very far into the game yet?
It's not Dark Souls
Dragonrot does nothing. Nobody in the world dies thanks to dragon rot. All it does is put their personal quests on hold until you cure them.
You can die 1000 times to one boss and everyone will be alive
You sound mad user. The stagger is totally random, sometimes enemies will get stunned by a hit and sometimes not. I give a fuck if it's not an RPG just having glorious nippon steal folded 10 gorillion times isn't as fun as being able to pick a weapon. No, how to cure dragonrot isn't explained at least it wasn't when I first got it.
Again, I went in expecting ninja, I get an undead, athletic samurai pretending to be ninja.
I would've stick around for the combat, but even that was bad. I won't even go into the characters.
The only saving grace for the game is the graphics, and that's freaking it unfortunately.
Then why fucking reply to me talking about the ogre you subhuman idiot? I LITERALLY said the ogre is the only enemy that has bullshit tracking, and some retard tried arguing that spear wielders do too, and I proved him wrong, and you come crying to me about "MUH OGRE GRAB TRACKING WAAAHHH".
Just listen to yourself.
>people dislike any aspect of Sekiro
>it must be the difficulty
kek.
Dragonrot is shit because its nearly impossible to have someone die. I died a fucking shit ton against bosses. Like 20 times at Genichiro and still had like 6 stones left after beating the final boss.
Boring world
I just got to Senpou Temple and quit the game.
*blocks your path*
this "only having one weapon" meme needs to die
you have 10 prosthetic tools which have different attacks by themselves and can be upgraded to have different followup attacks
then you have 4 skilltrees with different combat abilities that can be chained together with regular attacks and prosthetic tools
just because you choose to mash l1 and r1 doesn't mean the combat is shallow
learn to play the game
I didn't say ogre, brainlet. I said "enemies change direction midair". Several other enemies do so. Even Lady Butterfly changes direction midair, without the use of strings. Poor game design, little attention to detail.
you can't use any of them because you have enough emblems for like 6 attacks at most lmfao
>combat arts
>not shit
Combat Arts aside maybe 2 or 3 are completely worthless.
Nah, I'm just familiar with your kind.
No, it is not random at all. Speedrunners are consistently using stagger to cheese enemies. Which means it is consistent.
>I give a fuck if it's not an RPG just having glorious nippon steal folded 10 gorillion times isn't as fun as being able to pick a weapon
Then go play RPGs? The game not being an RPG does not make it bad, it never tried to be an RPG and they told you from the start that it is a pure action game, not an RPG. You are not entitled to demand game mechanics from a game that is from a different genre. It would be a completely different game if it had RPG mechanics you idiot.
>No, how to cure dragonrot isn't explained at least it wasn't when I first got it.
Yeah, maybe you should have played like 1 hour further instead of getting triggered and automatically assuming for some reason that Dragonrot fucks up your game with no way to deal with it? Are you really this retarded?
But you didn't thought, he is not undead.
>I would've stick around for the combat, but even that was bad
But it is objectively better than Souls and Bloodborne combat, and the characters are far more interesting than anyone in Dark Souls trilogy for sure - about on par with DeS and BB characters.
>The only saving grace for the game is the graphics, and that's freaking it unfortunately.
Nope, you're just fucking retarded. There is a reason it is this years best selling game, because it has the best gameplay. Even a delusional fag like you can't deny that it has far better boss fights than Bloodborne and Souls games.
*goes around you*
Try dropping a prayer bead instead of that worthless 10 second buff garbage.
All of them except 1 are shit
Ah, yes. 10 boring to use prosthetic tools coupled with 4 bad skilltrees. Nice variety in this "game". Why "learn" to play a game that I specifically don't think has good combat? I'm not wasting any more time. I don't need carpal tunnel from clicking deflect a million times.
The game forcing you to play only one way is a total drag
I'm pretty deep in and I STILL roll way too much, the game makes me eat shit for it every time, but just sitting there parrying literally EVERY SINGLE ENEMY feels really fucking dull, the combat should have had a lot more variety to it
Bullshit, now you're lying again. You said change grabs midair, only the ogre does that. Literally the only enemy in the game that does that.
And no, Lady Butterfly nor other enemies ever change direction mid air. Stop lying.
The only poor design here was of your parents design to have a child, clearly their genes suck.
I think Mt Kongo is the most beautiful, but i haven reached fountain head yet
I don't. Best From's game alongside BB. Souls fags on suicide watch
They are actually pretty simple to fight, it's something like deflect-deflect-deflect-jump followed by hitting it many times.
Someone here defend dragonrot
All I hear is "it's not as bad as you think it is" okay, so what makes it good?
What reason is it for it to be there? How does it add to your experience and just not make thousands of players feel like they need to restart the game unless someone explains it to them?
>g game, because it has the best gameplay. Even a delusional
Going by popularity/sales metric, I guess Fortnite and League of Legends are objectively the best games on the planet.
High Monk beats Ichimonji in posture damage.
because the leveldesign is too confusing
the enemies arent that hard or anything
but bad leveldesign isnt part of being a difficult game its just that those cunts at FROM dont know how to create good levels
that is specifically so you cant cheese bosses with prosthetics only
if you use them in regular combat throughout a level you will get enough refills after killing enemies to use them infinitely
I'm literally looking at my original comment now. "it's still suspension of disbelief when enemies change direction midair". No mention of ogres or grabs.
Lady Butterfly can change direction on the unblockeable move from the air. Not that it's super hard to dodge anyway, but in some cases she will track you. The ogre also changes direction, but I beat that guy on 3rd try, not exactly as hard as some people here claim.
Right, just ignore that most enemies drop Spirit Emblems upon death and that you have an infinite use item that converts life into spirit emblems.
You're legit brain damaged to call the prosthetics boring, every single one of them is very powerful and useful.
>Why "learn" to play a game that I specifically don't think has good combat?
Then don't? That doesn't change the fact that you are an extremely unintelligent person and that most people consider the combat god tier (because it objectively is). Now go, no one wants to read your whiny temper tantrums baby.
Don't hate it but everything outside of bosses isn't that great. It's got good world design, but the fact that you're a sneaky sanic ninja makes exploration feel irrelevant. You jump from statue to statue in seconds until you find a boss.
>because the leveldesign is too confusing
Only if you're a brainlet.
>game tells you before TWO DIFFERENT bosses "try rolling a lot and focusing on the lifebar"
>game tells you dragonrot is LITERALLY OMEGA CANCER AND PEOPLE WILL DIE
Mabye the absolutely shit-tier tutorial windows that are outright false are what are fucking people over so hard
IMAGINE NOT POSTING ON ANY FORUM and just playing going off of what the game told you.
Yeah, parrying everything like you're playing dance mania or some other shitty Jap rhythm game is definitely god-tier combat. Don't be salty that people disagree.
The prosthetics are shit. Way better to get some different weapons.
Lmao fucking retard
Retard, both of those games are F2P and make profit with microtransactions.
Obviously we are talking about sales of game copies in 2019.
>make thousands of players feel like they need to restart the game unless someone explains it to them?
user, thousands of people did not think that or do that, maybe a few dozen extremely subhuman unintelligent morons like you. Vast majority just continued playing the game and soon learned that it can be cured, because THE GAME EXPLAINS IT TO YOU.
Maybe you shouldn't play any games at all, it seems like this shit is a bit too complex for your brains.
It tells you to dodge an attack and punish it to deal health damage you mongoloid
I love Nioh, but you need to mention that it's a lot more grindy and massively stat based. The difficulty depends on your gear mostly, not your skill. Which is a huge difference from Sekiro.
Again, I love Nioh, but thats important if you're going to compare the two.
If they're going to introduce a mechanic that punishes you for dying and locks you out of content then they should tell you there's a way to cure it right away retard, just admit dragonrot is retarded user. I didn't "assume" shit, the game didn't tell me there was a way to cure it when it was introduced, so it's logical to assume there isn't one since not telling me that is retarded. Also
>Speedrunners using a technique means its consistent
Woah
game's a fucking masterpiece
most of the trash hating on the game don't even own it
>Dark Souls
Roll most of the time
Parry is pretty much easy mode after a little practice
Blocking is either easy mode or just not viable
>Sekiro
Deflect most of the time
Block if you're unsure or fail a deflect
Mikuri counter
Jump dodges, counters
Battle art dodges
It is god tier combat, because you don't parry everything. You also jump over attacks, dodge attacks, etc.
You're oversimplifying an extremely godlike combat system because you are salty little faggot that can't get past early game. Pathetic.
>The prosthetics are shit
They literally aren't. They are insanely powerful and fun to use.
>Way better to get some different weapons.
No, that would ruin the combat obviously, since the combat was designed around one weapon.
>"try rolling a lot and focusing on the lifebar"
For lady butterfly? Yes that advice absolutely holds true. You can dodge backwards and punish her for many of her attacks.
>user, thousands of people did not think that or do that
Not him but don't be so sure of yourself on that one user
>the game didn't tell me there was a way to cure it when it was introduced
It literally tells you that the moment you get back to the Dillapidated Temple after the Sculptor catches it.
Besides there's like 10+ of the curatives, I'm pretty bad at the game, just finished the True Monk and used my third one. So it's literally a non-issue.
This
Not bad but I’m not a fan
>not as much variety as in souls in terms of builds and ways to approach a situation.
Holy shit how can someone be so fucking wrong? You either 100% lack creativity or you're just stupid if you can't see the huge amount of different approaches to pretty much every chunk of area in the game.
the mechanic is probably one of the weakest parts of the game but if you restart a playthrough because of it you are an absolute brainlet
the game literally explains to you how to cure it and you get plenty of resources to do so multiple times
It doesn't lock you out of combat and the game teaches you how to cure it a few hours in. Did you honestly play the game?
It dethroned Bloodborne.
I can easily get past the point I'm at. I haven't gotten stuck a single time. But I'm not interested in playing the way that the game forces you to. It isn't fun. Posture system ruins the game to me, forcing needless aggression that in fact isn't typical of shinobi.
It's useless at best and annoying at worst. It has some lore implications that are never fully explored, making it completely redundant. I love the game, but you're right, Dragonrot is shit.
>If they're going to introduce a mechanic that punishes you for dying
It doesn't really do that, Dragonrot is basically meaningless
>and locks you out of content then they should tell you there's a way to cure it right away retard
They do, retard. Literally like the next fucking time you come to the Dilapidated temple. In fact you could have probably just rested at the Idol and they would have told you after that. You're incredibly unintelligent, like below 60 IQ probably, can't even figure out basic game mechanics and get triggered when you don't get instantly spoonfed and handholded through a game.
Kill yourself.
>just admit dragonrot is retarded user
Why, when I am right and you are wrong?
>so it's logical to assume there isn't one
False. It is logical to assume there is a way to reverse it. To think otherwise is the peak of retardation. One would have to be some kind of inbred mongrel to think it's a permanent, irreversable effect.
And yes, the fact that speedrunners are consistently staggering enemies means it can be done consistently if you attack in certain ways. That is what consistency means, yes. Holy fuck you are the dumbest nigger on Yea Forums.
If it's that easy to cure then why is it even in the game?
All I've seen so far is walk up behind man and stab him or attack head on user. I'm at drunkard juuzou or whatever his name is.
I played up until the shrine chick and the monk got dragonrot then I got pissed off and quit lol
What is the story even? Whenever NPCs are fighting it's like a free for all. I have a hard time recognizing factions and who's in charge of the castle at different points in the game. Ishiin just chills on top of his castles while there is constant fighting one floor below, kek.
Well that is pretty fucking pathetic of them to think that you need to restart the game then. Dying has always been a part of FromSoft games, they aren't going to make a really hard game that you HAVE TO beat without deaths, wtf are these people retarded? Yes, yes they are.
You can not blame the game for this, there exists NO REASON to think Dragonrot can not be reversed. Thinking that is extremely unintelligent, let's be honest here. Definitely need to be way below average IQ to assume so.
nobody hates it but for some reason there are bloodborne fags that shits up the threads
what is wrong with them?
it's because they aren't souls fan and they just jumped on the wagon because exclusive?
Yeah so you're literally an hour in or so. Please stop argueing about shit you didn't even play. They will literally tell you how to cure it if you played 10 minutes longer.
Then why not just explain it when the NPCs first get it? Players are going to leave after the initial introduction of dragonrot and assume they're going to be punished for dying until they come back again. You also really need to calm down user. I disagree with you about a game there's no need to sperg out, you're scaring the other anons.
I bet you never used the spear rush into follow up slice to break posture quickly
I bet you never used the flying monk kick animation to dodge an enemy sweep and instantly punish him hard
I bet you never used the feather teleport upwards into Ichimonji combart art punish
I bet you never got a perfect deflect umbrella into follow up r1 into combat art chain
the combinations between tools and combart arts are massive but people are too fucking scared and bad at the game to use them
Sure you can kid.
Yeah you're a pathetic shitter that couldn't get past early game, we got that. You were even so inhumanely STUPID that you assumed Dragonrot can not be reversed. Imagine being that stupid, wow. I just can't imagine. What is life like, as a complete drooling retard, user? Tell us please.
How is it hard, the different factions wear completely different armor?
>Players are going to leave after the initial introduction of dragonrot
Only brainlets like (You)
I liked the ost
>why is it even in the game?
Now this is a good question and actual proper critique on the game. It's a stupid mechanic that should've been more fully developed.
It takes the part of Souls games that I enjoy, going through the levels, and makes them completely trivial. Then it focuses on exactly what I hate in Souls games, which is multi-phase bossfights with weird attack patterns. It's tedious as all hell, and it's not satisfying at all. The reason why is because when you "git gud" and beat a boss, what you're really gitting "gud" at is that single boss phase's attack patterns and nothing else. I don't feel like I'm acquiring or testing some kind of generally applicable skill, I beat the final boss because I now know the extremely delayed rhythm of his specific three hit combo and have trained myself not to to overextend when he does it. I get frustrated with Sekiro because it doesn't feel fair with all of its weird attacks, like Owl (Father) pulling out one-hit kill firecrackers that you have to deal with in one extremely specific way. Playing other games, even games I consider more difficult, I don't feel anywhere near that frustration.
Is it the same guy who keeps talking about people with below average IQs not liking the game and insisting he's right? Like every other reply is this guy.
>Then why not just explain it when the NPCs first get it?
THEY
LITERALLY
FUCKING
EXPLAIN
IT
THE
NEXT
TIME
YOU
TALK
TO
THEM
Holy fuck you are SO RETARDED. Maybe instead of automatically, immediately assuming your game must be permanently fucked and over, you should have talked to them again.
You should be euthanized, humankind can not be expected to take care of completely helpless brain damaged retards like you. You're a burden on society.
>the case in Sekiro but here mashing buttons can sometimes work.
no it doesn't
maybe on jobbers and some miniboss.
show me ape done by mashing
>mfw you're projecting
Have fun, NEET
Ok so you're just another shitter that enjoyed everything trash about Souls games and hated the good things about them, got it.
And this is criticism of Sekiro, how? Most people at least know that the bosses were the best part of Souls games, and Sekiro improved on that greatly.
user CALM DOWN. I looked it up and you're right, sorry lol :^)
The Stealth aspect needed to be fully developed.
It's worst than the first Tenchu game that came out more than 20 years ago
Some of the bosses are really fun to fight but the rest just feel like a boring slog of chipping away hp. The non humanoid enemies were the lowest point of the game for me.
Unlike most of this thread, I really enjoy the combat and think it might be the best in the series.
Everything else sucks, tho.
Music is awful, level design is boring, the setting and the lore are whatever, the NPCs are DaS2 tier, the fucking awful in your face tutorial, the fact your guy sheaths his sword when he comes close to important NPCs (lest you accidentally fuck up the ultra important story).
It feels like they doubled down on the PREPARE TO DIE bullshit and made the combat harder, but everything else is easier. There are barely any environmental hazard, there is 0 needs to use your brain in this game, 0 mystery, 0 horror, literally everything good, interesting and challenging about it is the combat.
Compare that to Bloodborne.
I don't, but it's hardly a masterpiece.
I don't mean leave the game I mean leave that area and don't come back until they need to use one of the NPCs there again.
which part of the word "sometimes" do you not understand?
He's right though. If you talk to Emma she tells you how it works and you get a free dragonrot heal after you did her quest.
I don't think stealth was bad at all. It was a great addition to get past some of the bullshit. It felt good backstabbing all the purple ninjas in the rooftops, after getting demolished by 4 of them.
Bit him to teleport and jump. It's free hits for days but only if you know how to deflect or super mario your way around.
Yeah, I know. I'm just talking about the whole useless to society thing a lot of the Sekiro-NEETs seem to be shouting out at any opportunity. Quite obvious there's a lot of projecting going on here.
Camera sucks like im every souls game plus this is faster so it sucks even more, saying "just dont get cornered" is lile saying "I know that if you die your save gets corrupted and your console bricked, so just dont die"
the bull is easily in the top 10 worst fromsoft bosses of all time
I cant wait until From releases another Armored Core and soulfags start flooding Yea Forums with complains about how From missed the point of Dark Souls
These are all the same guy.
Bosses have been mostly terrible since DaS2. DaS3's bosses were a total slog because every boss was the same thing. Sekiro follows in Das3 where there are even fewer interesting bosses and more generic "hard" ones. It didn't improve a damn thing. It swapped up dodging for parrying and baiting out attacks with hitting their weapon but it's fundamentally the same thing except with fewer options because there's no RPG elements. And the bosses aren't even that hard.
>get all the items that twink wants from you
how is that different from ringing two bells and collecting the souls of the 4 lords retard?
is literally the same fucking thing.
>suddenly mobs become minibosses
you mean the opposite maybe?
learn to fucking write.
also as in dark souls
>place where the one "anime samurai boss" was are now two faggots
i have no idea what this is supposed to mean you may be retarded
>suddenly chained ogre in out of nowhere and what if his grabs one shot you lol
this is not a sentence in english but chained ogre never one shots you
>no other weapons
what are second blade, lance, axe and poisoned knife then faggot?
>no infusing
so?
this is literally like saying "it's not dark souls so it's bad"
also what is flaming axe, flaming lance, and lazulite prostetic?
>and I was too much on Yea Forums so many stuff have been spoiled
how is that a complain about the game?
i love sekiro it has drawn out the pure retardation out of people
>but people are too fucking scared
It's almost like the game actively goes out of it's way to discourage you from dying or something.
Fuck yes people are scared, why experiment with a gadget, lose your resources and a "that nice npc you just met is fuking dying because of you" message
>ad at all. It was a great addition to get past some of the bullshit. It felt good backstabbing all the purple ninjas in the rooftops, after getting demolished by 4 of the
Just for reference.
How is the stealth in Sekiro in any way good? Compare to which stealth game?
>combat is boring! It's like dodge, jump, deflect, block, use prosthetics and attack, too repetitive!
I don't understand you retards. What exactly should be in combat to make it fun then? Name a game with better combat than Sekiro.
thats why Hanbei is in the first area of the game so you can try out these combat mechanics in a safe environment.
I honestly cant go back to souls games after sekiro. made me realize how terrible the games actually are.
It sometimes feel like you are missing something against certain enemies, like those shield fags in the hirata or whatever, I had a lot of trouble killing them and at last I realized you can lock on them, sprint to their right, attack and turn in time to hit their back, its reliable and fast and easy to do but it looks and feel fucking retarded to do.
I love it. There are tons of minor gripes I have, but overall its a great game.
Funny, I like the non-humanoid bosses the best (except the bulls). The Ape and the Demon of Hatred were more fun to me because they actually had longer vulnerability windows so you could get a bunch of hits in. I hated how every human opponent starts blocking immediately after the first hit, unless you can get behind them in which case you get a whole whopping one extra hit in.
>lking about the whole useless to society thing a lot of the Sekiro-NEETs seem to be sho
I do not like Sekiro, but at least that boss was interesting, it made me forget how bored I was playing the game temporarily.
It's the most memorable boss for me quite frankly.
Feels very rewarding to b gud
>there exists NO REASON to think Dragonrot can not be reversed.
Besides THE GAME HINTING PEOPLE WILL DIE FROM IT?
I don't, its really fun. I just don't have time for it right now, so it's easier to load up some mindless shooter like apex and just wipe the floor with everyone for an hour or so
Nioh was GOTY 2017 but to be fair, 2017 was a meh year for games, only other honorable mentions are Mario:oddyssey and Nier:Auto-overrata.
Sekiro is about as good or better than Nioh, in terms of combat specifically.
shields and the midgets with the hats are meant to be axed. it immediately breaks the shield and drains all their posture
Senran Kagura
I had the same problem then realized you're supposed to have the axe, which is completely missable.
>Yeah that is kind of normal progression of a game, enemies get harder the further you go.
I still find them a little bit too difficult. Having few of them is better.
>Optional fight, just go around them on the roof if you don't want to fight them.
Sadly if you wanna fight the boss on the roof you either take the route to beat them or rush downstairs through the path to isshin etc. But I still find it stupid, they could just put him there and that´s it.
>Which ogre are you referring to
the end of the game of course. I know he is optional, still doesn´t make any sense that he is suddenly there
>That's a good thing.
why? as if the game would suddenly become worse if you could fight with a longer katana that makes you loose posture quicklier or small blade that maintains better posture but less damage. You could just do multiple runs if you want.
>This is not an RPG, this is an action game.
who cares? I miss fucking infusing weapons since das2. I don´t see why a thunder katana should be bad.
Bosses need to be hit over one hundred times just to get down one out of 2-3 life bars. You get killed in one or two hits.
This is just artificial difficulty to mask that the game is poor in every aspect compared to Dark Souls and Bloodborne.
this
the souls combat feels so fucking empty and boring now
it never works retard.
show me then someone button mashing winning against isshin then retard
>Bosses need to be hit over one hundred times just to get down one out of 2-3 life bars
>worrying about life bars
Found your problem
>Bosses need to be hit over one hundred times just to get down one out of 2-3 life bars
Lmao
Shit game filled with artificial level design.
So is landing a death blow pretty much the end all be all?
Because its the exact same formula as all the past souls games, just with dodge switched with block.
>the tutorial window before the games first major boss tells you to focus on dodges and health
I wonder why a player would be so confused...
The only game of the year so far that actually took chances instead of rehashing old ideas. Has some flaws but probably the best game of the year.
The one you get after last boss deals huge damage, altho it costs tokens to use. The token system is probably the weakest part of the game, makes so many combat arts and tools completely useless, I had to remove my ninjutsu skill from the bar cause i would sometimes trigger it randomly and see half my tokens go to waste.
Not that guy but the axe lance and lil katana consuming weeb crucifixes to use drives me fucking mad, I have 300 of those and I dont mind the shuriken using them but an axe? I just end up not using the prosthetics and missing on the fun.
Posture is the real healthbar, vitality is the sissy option for casuals who only can hit and run.
>but has no replay value
literally 4 different endings
Sekiro shows that 50% of Yea Forums is retarded. I haven't seen so many trash opinions in a while.
if you are asking that question you must have not beaten a single boss in the game
Some people on that village talk about the axe but I searched and searched and fpund nothing, care to point me in the right direction, preferably spoiler free?
nightjar slash is fucking rape ape mode if you know how to use it. can't wait to master ichimonji next.
Shit game, I agree
Artificial level design... Da fuck?
Juuzou is absolutely wrecking my shit right now, but that helps thanks user I've been hit and running for awhile now.
>50% of Yea Forums is retarded.
>50%
Lol. More like 90
It's inside a shrine, find some brown skin who's trying to commit arson, it's the building they're next to.
Dying guy talking about tthe axe: go left twice
Are you stupid? With 300 you can just not worry about it for hours.
Use them whenever you're exploring the area, then rest and keep them for running to the bossfight. Simple.
>dragonrot
>Crest system
>missables
>block being too dominant in gameplay
>camera angles
>aid being rng
>weak OST
>dragonrot
theres a shrine that you have to open the door of, where you eavesdrop on the two guys who were about to burn it down but the boss tells them not to because it's a shrine.
They are literally standing next to the little shrine.
>I've been hit and running for awhile now
It takes longer and its just not fun.
Go ultra aggressive. Its fun as fuck.
>>aid being rng
You can avoid death by resting on the totem after resurrecting
weak OST is subjective, some of the music is a drag but I personally think the title theme is the best fromsoft title theme of all time.
What is this "you get damaged on block" mode you fags are talking about? Because I want to enable it. I just got to Genichiro's second fight for your information.
Except fights that literally trap you and the teleport is way too slow to escape
ng+ only
it's kuro's charm
but he doesn't
it's an optional boss
Is not that I think I will run out of them, I just hate finite respurces, specially in melee weapons, I just dont feel good using the prosthetics because I always feel Im wasting things.
Also Im expecting an apology for calling me stupid, that was rude and uncalled for.
Figuratively git gud. You just can't escape bossfights but it's the easiest game to just run away from regular fights.
True, but thats bosses mostly.
Tell me about, I said I wouldn't care if it had an easy mode and those fucks acted like I was ruining their lives
You would be ruining a rare case of "actually good videogame" tho
Who's the artist of these drawings?
no one "chooses" to play "easy mode". It's a NG+ item. It's needs to be available from the start in order to be considered a choice.
How
Three of which you can get on a single playthrough.
Goddamnit I have to finish the game for that? I just want more punishment for mistiming deflect (the deflect window isn't even that small). Why can't From just give an option to enable it right off the bat like the Champions Covenant?
Imagine a puzzle game with an auto solve button
I wouldn't recommend that mode unless you are godlike at parrying. I don't think most people realize just how many hits they guard instead of deflect.
Someone hyper agressive cunt like owl 2 must be a goodamn nightmare on that mode.
Compared to modern stealth games? You sure that you still going to ask this question?
>I just end up not using the prosthetics and missing on the fun.
your loss then
you gain them faster than you use them
the only time when you will run out of them is against bosses to avoit cheesing
>ashina
>technicians
>monks
>infested
>government
>mercenaries/shinobi
>dragons
>fake divine kids
>divine bloodline
>shuras
My brain is melting to put all these guys together in a coherent way. I doubt it's possible
It's an incredible game, FromSoft's best work yet. The combat is way over most peoples' heads, you can survive if you know how to parry and punish but there are actually tons of options
anyone know how many prayer beads you get in one play-through? about to fight the final boss and I have 7 necklaces with 3/4 for my 8th.
The problem is I would like it. I wouldn't even mind dying since all my money and skill points are spent or not needed. It would also hone my deflect timing to godlike levels if it comes to that and so far all the bosses are not that hard.
Ok, I've imagined it
Now I've imagined a souls game where they simply change the health and damage of the player and enemies, but removing the invasion mechanics
I would never use it, and no one would force me or anyone else to use it, but I wouldn't be an elitist baby
>The combat is way over most peoples' heads
Mate you can literally sprint around the arena like a retard and punish when the enemy misses.
40.
>Isshin ded
>you fight him afterwards
But he's not immortal, why would he need kuro if he was? Did Emma slaughter kuro to reload Isshin?
>hitboxes are attrocious
>balance is fucked because of that
>just boring at times for me
i don't hate it and i see how people can like this game
however i hate the cunts who try to defend the hitboxes and the general balance of the game
You can, but you can also have fun and use your prosthetic combos and combat arts to have badass fights
I don't but the hitboxes and enemies following your movements are absolute bullshit and have to be fixed.
I don't, I'm enjoying it way more than any Souls game. Deflecting is fun as fuck.
and that takes 20 minutes to pull off while posture break chads kill bosses in 3 minutes. the game literally punishes you by wasting your if you play it the cheese way.
and it takes like 20 times longer to kill anyone than if you fight them normally
I like the reflections on the katana. It does this really well.
genichiro uses the "open gate" mortal blade tro summon him from the underworld. Thats also why he's younger, his memory says people who are summoned from the underworld return at their prime
*time
>the game literally punishes you by wasting your if you play it the cheese way
Firecracker/ash spam would like a word with you
The hands literally make contact with you in this webm, I don't know what you expected when you jumped away that slowly.
Every single time I see these webms the player has a lot of posture damage.
I'm almost certain that iframes on jump/dodge have to do with how much posture damage you took. Kind of like dynamic Adaptability from DaS2
Not really, I will not defend the massive amount of poorly recycled content, the unbalanced combat arts, the poorly implemented RPG elements, the trash stealth or the mediocre OST, but I will defend the game when the army of Souls brainlets on Yea Forums will complain about prosthetics being useless, supposed lack of variety and whatever else.
I seriously doubt it and also that webm doesn't have "a lot."
shut the fuck up, moron
>return at their prime
He still looks like he's suffering from anorexia when he crawls out of Genichiro, and he's missing his left eye.
Such prime.
Also, did becoming an immortal provided him thunder power? Because he's using the Gobyou spear and he doesn't throw thunder.
Does it means that the divine dragon is the root of kuro bloodline? That's why he needs its tears to severe the bond? That'd explain why infested monks are trying to infest the paradise palace with their parasites, they maybe want to reload an immortality by another.
Yes bro, there is a lot of variety in abilities, but some people also want variety in playstyle and weapons.
I agree, the RPG elements are very poorly elemented, stealth should be removed or changed and OST is lackluster compared to DS3.
Soulsfans: It's not Dark Souls or Bloodborne.
Casuals: It's too hard
it's still his prime if thats the best he ever looked, just like you in your prime are still overweight
Ah ok, I really need to finish that game, stuck on *infinite posture* Owl for now.
Maybe it's not that type of game and you shouldn't have bought it/did more research if you were expecting something else
The OST is lackluster precisely because it tries too hard to be soulsshit, which has always been garbage.
When you hear the umpteenth ominous orchestra theme with violins having PTSD in a poorly attempted effort at spooking you you know it's a garbage OST, they should have got Asakura to compose the score or at least told Kitamura to stop recycling her Souls stuff, outside of the human miniboss theme it's like fighting Vordt all over again, same garbage tracks all the time that don't even set up the mood.
>bought it
Lmao. Why the fuck would I buy single player games before testing it? Game devs don't release long demos anymore, so I have to pirate.
>punish when the enemy misses
i tried to do that to isshin for two days until i man up and did it the proper way.
Its a good game no doubt.
But after a while you just know that every new boss or mini boss (without knowing spoilers) will kill you countless times until you learn their moveset just fucking sucks and takes away much fun.
Souls Series in that reagrd was MUCH more forgiving.
I hope a future patch will introduce NPC summons or some sort of shit which would handle that problem.
Post a good ost
I'm sorry about that stroke you seem to have suffered user.
Ishin is no different. You bait out his charge attack and punish. For phase 2 you bait out the jump attack. Phase 3 you could do it too but it's even better to bait out and reverse the lightning attacks.
git gud
there's no difference between learning a bosses attacks and rolling through, and learning a bosses attacks and deflecting them.
if you felt like victory was earned through spamming roll and R1, and didn't feel like it was from blocking and R1, then you truly are mentally challenged, since they're the exact same thing.
>I rarely feel like I actually beat an enemy and more often that the game just randomly let me win.
????????????
How do you upgrade the gourd after killing Genichiro?
I don't hate it but the game is mostly L1 tapping and then R1 when necessary. Nioh really spoiled me on stances.
With that being said I can't wait for Nioh 2.
Never played it and have no interest, but pretty good.
You clearly haven't played many games that focus on combat
Emma is in the Ashina upper room with kuro
>tfw sculptor
Imagine if people said this about shooters
>No variety! You only have guns!
>Rocket launchers don't count, they cost ammo!
because I literally can't find an Oceania key anywhere and I don't want to pay steam's 90 ausbucks
In shooting games you often have 30 different guns. And if you want to, you can stealth snipe everything. Or you can go in guns blazing.
Sekiro doesn't let you choose. Gay as fuck.
I know. She doesnt have the option to upgrade the gourd. Just keeps talking about the tower at the gate.
Except shooters nowadays have more than just one pistol
There is a revolver, a shotgun, a rifle, and many others
And there are people that criticize Shooters for having less guns than it's predecessor, so nice try
I like it
is that you dsp?
it LITERALLY touches you
>In shooting games you often have 30 different guns.
The average FPS has 10 or so guns, if you're lucky.
Besides, Sekiro isn't a FPS, it's classic action game.
Nobody complains about classicvania giving you a whip and having to deal with it, but for some unholy reason faggots still pretend this is a souls game, and pretend souls game also had variety on top of it all.
But Castlevania is a shitty game made in a shitty time though. Sekiro isn't. I'm not complaining from a souls perspective at all, I think those games are way worse than this. I'm just saying it's not a 10/10, even from a combat perspective.
i'd hire a man wearing chipped and damage armor, over a man using clean shiny armor.
>Nobody complains about classicvania giving you a whip and having to deal with it,
Because no one gives fuck about the combat in Castlevania games, that's why the lords of shadow games weren't well received by fans even though they had better combat than previous castlevania games
It’s not Bloodborne 2
>>speedrunners using a technique means it's consistent
That is literally exactly what it means wtf are you retarded
>no ghosts
>no player messages
>no invasions
>1 build
>generic asscreed stealth
>generic story
>DUDE REVIVING BOSSES WITH 4 HEALTHBAR LMAO
>say sekiro has a flaw
>get spammed LE DARK SOULS ROLL SPAM BABBY XDDD
>WHAT NO WE NEVER DID THAT IT WAS OTHER GUY!!!
ok
lmao
ok
Rolled 2 (1d6)
not by post number but I'm rolling
1-2 i hate it ironically
3-4 i hate it cuz not gud
5-6 i don't hate it
I can't seem to beat that one armed kicking fucker in the caves you can go back to from the start of the game. I beat the Spears guy after a few goes, but this guy is taking me more than any other boss/mini-boss.
you can mikiri counter his kick (and you should, it deals significant posture damage). Other than that, deflect deflect deflect. Don't even try hitting him, just manage your posture bar and time your deflects.
no hack and slash will ever top ninja gaiden sigma/black
it is perfection
inb4 huuurrr izuna drop
>AHURRRRDURRRRRDURFDURFHURRRR
Git gud.
Aesthetically its just utterly drab and uninteresting, more so than any other Souls-like out there. It kills any interest I may have in the game for its gameplay or what have you.
Honestly, would it kill FROM to make one of these Souls-likes NOT gritty or grimdark? It got old a while ago.
