Now since the game updated(reinstalled the denuvo DRM) I get nothing but a black screen

It wasn't at launch. There was an update that people missed that was about a gig, a few weeks after launch. Still, this could have easily been out then, it didn't need a month delay for no reason.
They probably just don't want to tell us that they were trying to get Co-op to work and even had it in the game files and then just couldn't get it to work, or even worse. That Capcom wouldn't approve a matchmaking server for the game.
