The ordering of the games is already fucked. AJ was pretty much just PW4. Dual Destines was kind of AJ1.5, kind of Athena Cykes: Ace Attorney, and kind of PW5. SoJ simultaneously feels like the first AJ game since AA4 had so little to do with him in the first place and the second AJ game, and Phoenix and Athena are just sort of there. They really should've did what they originally intended and made AJ a completely new series.

Athena was sidelined for Spirit of Justice and the devs had to throw together a shitty one day case for her because they forgot to do anything with her until the last minute. She had less impact on SoJ than Trucy had on AJ, and WAAAAAAAY less than Phoenix did.
