Whacha been playing this weekend bros?
Who's excited for BOX BOY + BOX GIRL?
Whacha been playing this weekend bros?
Who's excited for BOX BOY + BOX GIRL?
comfy is just a code word for boring desu
Bought yooka laylee last week and finished it yesterday. Loved it and hope they're working on a new game.
waiting for it to go sub-$10 desu
>Whacha been playing this weekend bros?
Taiko, arcade puzzle games, a tiny bit of Katamari; that's pretty much been it.
Might see if Salmon Run's on right now, or if not if there are many people playing this late.
>Who's excited for BOX BOY + BOX GIRL?
I tried the demo of box boy but never liked it enough to get it I guess, so I can't say I'm excited myself.
I just bought a switch and I'm glad I found this thread.
How close to mario64 is odyssey? How long is Xeno2? Do I need to play 1 first?
I CANT FUCKING STOP PLAY ING STARDEW VALLEY
Hollow knight
Xb2 if I get irritated
>How close to Mario 64 is Odyssey
Pretty different. Odyssey is a collectathon while 64 has a mission structure.
>How long is Xeno 2
50-60 hours maybe, more if you're into side stuff.
>Do I need to play 1 first?
No, it's self-contained.
FF7. It's boring, I might drop it.
I still need to finish the 3ds box boys, but I'm excited.
I want some boring game recommendations then.
Got Kos-mos the other day, gave me the motivation to finish the boss in XB2. great game, now im just wondering if I should tackle torna now or cool out with another game
How well does docked mode work on 4k?
how far in are you?
switching from big brain to brainlet and over again mode playing BABA. Its comfy at night
How you holding up bros?
Cool off with something else. Torna's story is arguably better, but if I remember correctly, the game expects you to do damn near every single side quest they give you. Take some time away from it so that won't feel like as much of a grind.
Just finished Yoshi. Have nothing to play as I've played everything on switch worth my time, maybe I'll replay okami or something.
Still enjoying my revisit with 7. Currently working on getting everyone's level 3 limits and finishing up with Yuffie and Nanaki before heading to the next town. Also grinding materia with that double ap comb from fort condor. 3X speed is a damn Godsend
Playing BotW.
I'm thinking on buying Bayonetta 2 + 1 or Super Dragon Ball Heroes. Not sure yet, but if I do get Dragon Ball Heroes I'd probably preorder on amazon.
holding up fine because i own a ps4. i'm more concerned with smtv and how there's been nothing but radio silence on that for years now. i wish more switch owners were talking about that rather than asking for a port of a sony exclusive.
At Junon
both joysticks drift a lot. I literally can't play anymore. how do i fix this?
Never liked Persona 3 or 4, so I'm doing just fine.
second box
I just bought a new joycon when mine drifted
oh its in the polka dot bo-- wait a goddam minute.
...
ok it's in the middle box. yeah, that's the right answer.
yoshi's crafted world, most likely will be done 100%'ing it by the end of the week. May get box boy this month but I need to finish rayman legends first
Playing botw on cemu.
Been playing NSMBU while I work nights. Kinda sucks but I've been alternating between it and Baba is You.
Why does this look so gay (homosexual)?
Don't know. Don't care
Be honest with me anons, are the FF7/9 ports for Switch worth it or are they just too shitty cause they're phone ports?
Finally joined the switch gang
>Tfw buy a new switch from walmart
>Its a Hackable model
Feels good living in a flyover state
Does anyone know any good card games on Switch? And I mean anything like Texas Hold Em, etc. I just like to randomly play them to kill time in short bursts.
They're just the games, no better or worse.
Fuck you, bitch.
Toggle-able 3x speed and no encounters is more than worth it,
theyre the original games but they have a speed up button and no-encounters button for QoL
Probably the worst way to play either of them but Toddlers will try and convince themselves otherwise.
I don't think about you
Buy new joycons
>portable ff7
>bad
I enjoyed it on my psp and i'm enjoying it on my switch
I'm consistently surprised with how low Switch owner standards are, go play your 480p Valkyria Chronicles 4.
Compressed air and/or contact cleaner. You could also just open up the joycons and replace the sticks yourself if the air and contact cleaner don't work.
Reddit said contact cleaner works sometimes.
And I'm never surprised by the constantly bitter people here that hate everything.
>BOX BOY + BOX GIRL
MY NIGGA!!
Still playing Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon, it's a nice game
is that a port of the wii game?
Reminder that the cheaper Switch revision will look more like the Wii U gamepad. Eurogamer already said it would be sturdier than the original Switch
Bought Darkest Dungeon and Curse of the moon on the Indie Sale. DD is really cool, getting the hang of it is kinda tricky but Its enjoyable nonetheless. I'm really looking forward to the RE4 port. I haven't played that game in ages.
OCTOPATH
TIME
TRAVELER
Is there a game with worse menu controls than DD? Maybe Civ, didn't play it.
Oh, yeah, its really awkward. And the touch controls don't help.
Yeah, but with an added buddy system where you can take along every enemy and boss as you unlock them with points they drop and an optional easier mode where you don't lose equipment on death. They took out the Pop Up Duels though, but honestly I haven't really been missing it.
On the Dark Dungeon right now, I'm really enjoying it. I played the original on Wii but ended up dropping it early for some reason.
Chocobo Every buddy has officially gotten me stuck. I can't beat the dungeon when Shirma falls ill and is bedridden, then you can't leave the room cause the lil squirrel is blocking the way.
I tried the dungeon like 5 times already. Fuck.
I have 5 minutes to decide between
>Switch pro controller
and
>Xbox one S controller
The downsides to S is doesnt have gyro for doom and botw and doesnt have amiibo for tapping wolf link amiibo coin
I like the xbox controller a lot because of how it feels. Its shape and design. But kinda like the slight gyro moving on the pro
Anyone knows at what time the mynintendo gold points expire? They should've expired the 31 but it seems like they are still in my account, I can't use them right now I need to wait this evening
Shut up, Onsokumaru.
wait, seriously? that's just a normal dungeon, not even a challenge dungeon. are you just underleveled somehow?
Looks like it's time for you to grind
What job are you using?
dont they expire a year after you em
Either midnight your time or EST time if your in NA.
Maybe I am underleveled. I haven't redone a single dungeon to gain some extra levels. I've also upgraded my gear pretty damn well too.
Red Mage. I really don't wanna have to grind. Haven't had to grind in a JRPG in eons.
Yeah it was supposed to be 1 year on march 31st but I still have them somehow in my account. I don't have a credit card right now, I need to go get an eshop card to be able to use them I hope they'll still be here
I don't know what's happening because it's past midnight where I am (it's 3 am)
have you unlocked the scarecrow dungeon yet? that's a good early-game grinding spot and it has some useful items too.
TWEWY, pleasantly surprised with the Switch port, why did everyone complain about it again?
that's how i felt about it when i first played it several years back, but i've been thinking of giving it another shot.
how'd you enjoy it? i played the demo and liked it well enough, but unless there's a difficulty jump i could see it becoming boring fairly quickly.
user, is your life so empty that shitposting has any real appeal? get it together.
playing StarTropics atm, finished Blaster Master Zero earlier. was hoping you kind anons could help me decide on a few games. i have $40 to blow, and i'm definitely buying BMZ2, as the first was the most i've enjoyed a digital game aside from Bloodstained. also considering the following:
A Robot Named Fight
The Messenger (unless it's getting a physical release soon)
Kero Blaster
The Mummy Demastered
Blossom Tales
Celeste
Jotun
if it helps, i enjoy Metroidvanias, platformers, action adventure and rouge-likes. any other suggestions are welcome as well!
I don't see why either.
It was great and seeing everything in HD this time was a real treat.
Scarecrow? I'm not sure...
But yeah I haven't grinded so maybe this game requires it.
I'm currently trying to jape people with meme rules in Smash
they wanted touch controls on a non ds system. its good for what it is and the artwork and music coming from non shit speakers is a blessing.
Controls in docked and the new day wasn't very substantial.
On the controls side, the issues were overblown because people want to play with the pro controller instead of gyro. That and the controls have a learning curve and instead of getting used to it people would rather complain.
The new day was pretty short but was left on a blue ball moment so to speak.
>How close to mario64 is odyssey?
Eh, not too close, got a few new platform tricks of its own (mostly the capture gimmick and hat jumps), there's no one common hubworld like Peach's Castle and the levels are way more open and you can get every Moon(star) in (mostly) any order you want instead of being kicked out of the level into an hub every time you pick one up.
>How long is Xeno2?
Really depends how much you invest yourself into the side stuff, took me 400 hours to 100% (all sidequests, NG+, challenge mode, every Rare Blade at S or more rank, etc.), 80 hours to just beat the main story with some sidestuff, but I figure someone uninterested in collecting Blades and doing sidequests could finish the game in 50-60 hours no problem.
>Do I need to play 1 first?
Not at all. If you're familiar with Earthbound and Mother 3, it's kind of the same deal. Both game are standalone and can be played without the other, but playing both will net you some extra "oh, that's neat!" points near the end of the game.
Red Mage kinda sucks since magic isn't very good
Try a melee class
Mario kart 8 is pretty shit
>be ahead
>3rd lap always get blue'd
>cross line in 7th place
Every fucking map
Why did I buy this for 50 dollars? How do refunds work on Switches?
Really? I wanted to stick with Knight because thats what I usually do in these games but I had a feeling that a magic class might be very useful.
Regretting that now though.
>Scarecrow? I'm not sure...
once you've finished camilla and atla's memory dungeons in the silo on stella's farm, a scarecrow should appear nearby. then, just talk to it and it will unlock the insatiable hunger dungeon, which gives out a lot of exp and good items.
>Mario Kart is Mario Kart
you're definitely going to want to try out different jobs. personally, i've found black mage and dragoon to be the most useful so far.
People were too stupid to realize how to use the docked controls. It wasn't difficult at all if you just kept it calibrated. I guess they thought it was supposed to work like the Wiimote or something? Tards gonna tard.
I was thinking about dragoon.
Alright I guess I have no choice but to grind it out.
Oh I didn't finish that Mog's dungeon yet. I did Camilla's.
What should I get on this trash eshop sale?
Is Yoku's Island Express still 50% off?
Dragoon is pretty good plus has some elemental attacks
to be honest, i'm kind of surprised you managed to beat leviathan without using dragoon and without any of the angel robes you can get from the scarecrow dungeon.
it took me forever to beat that fight until i got to around level 36, had a few angel robes to use whenever he started charging up his tidal wave attack, and spammed flame lance as much as i could.
I just bought Yoshis crafted world playing with mellow mode and amiibo costume can you get comfier than that
Switch is my first Nintendo console and I'm trying all the classics. Not super impressed. The game looks fucking great though. The karts 'stats' and the biased dice roll of random weapons is awful. Why can't they just have all carts perform the same, and set item boxes as a truly random roll? When u r in first place item boxes are literally either fucking coins or green shells
I don't know man
If you're actually good at the game, even blue shells won't fuck you up badly and you will still win
Get gud
based zoomer.
excited for Daemon x Machina, did anyone play the demo? How was it?
can you stop replying to me? two replies were already enough and now I keep getting notifications, thanks
how the fuck are people this bad at mario kart?
Haha no way. I beat Leviathan on my 2nd try an didn't use any angel robes. I was Red Mage and I think I'm level 22 or 23.
Insane.
Thanks. I'll try it out in a bit.
Kero Blaster and Celeste are good. The Messenger kinda loses steam half way through. I can't say much about the rest.
I recommend Dead Cells, Broforce, RIVE, Flinthook, and Slime-san in addition to your list. Maybe Tangledeep if you want a Shiren-like game.
I'm considering Battle Princess Madelyn. It's supposed to be like Ghosts N Goblins with some Metroidvania exploration. Apparently they added a lot of QoL features recently, but I can't find many opinions about how the game is now.
Because people didn't know they were supposed to play it in solo co-op mode
:^)
I'm not sure what else I should be doing to get good. I'm cutting corners as hard as I can. I'm squeezing in drift boosts wherever I can and hitting a on all the jumps. Seems like that's it as far as skill goes. Still not really getting 1st place consistently.
First place getting bullet bills and gold mushrooms would be immensely silly user. The game is meant to be bullshit, that's what you're getting yourself in for when you play Mario Kart.
I don't fucking get the kart stats complaint though, pretty sure every racing game has different stats in some way or another.
I can get first place consistently online, or atleast in the top 3, offline is really easy even in 200CC
Maybe change your kart setup and character?
Framerate wasn't very good, it was kinda hard to see the enemies, and the guns didn't have a nice impact to using them. Hopefully they can polish the game really well in the next few months. It was a lot more fun once the game decided to drop parts that let me go fast though.
thanks for the input user! i was actually looking at Flinthook a while back, suppose it slipped my mind this time around lol. have the Dead Cells devs dropped a patch recently? i was holding out until i could pick up a physical copy, but i've heard the framerate dips pretty badly at times.
i'll be sure to look into the rest. and thanks for bringing Battle Princess to my attention as well, that sounds like a pretty good formula to work with to me.
The framerate got fixed for Dead Cells already. It runs at 60fps most of the time although it can dip a bit in the castle where there can be a lot of enemies at once. It didn't seem to dip too hard or for very long. The newest update on PC (Rise of the Giants) won't be on consoles until May or later.
Quick question. what kart and wheels are you using?
I just play koopa with stock everything and off-road wheels. I don't really know what makes stats good or bad so I don't tamper with it. If you have a reccomended I'd like to hear it.
Wait should I actually play co-op in solo
I don't bother the current control scheme, would co-op make me more powerful?
I have a BUNCH of platinum points that EXPIRE today. I also don't have a 3ds or WiiU.
WTF do I get with these things that are worth my while? Anything?
Ive seen it other threads but there is an image with tier-ed switch games. If anyone could throw that my way I would appreciate it
Nothing. Literally the only thing those shits are good for is getting TP Picross and Flipnote on 3DS, everything else is garbage. Man I miss Club Nintendo.
Blaster Master Zero 1
Having a good time with it
Playing Bayonetta 2. Moon River slaps.
BB + BG looks like a lot of fun. Wish we were getting an amiibo rerelease though
I usually go with Wario + Blue Falcon + Button + Cloud Glidder
I also do Inkling + Splat Buggy + Roller Wheels + any wing in order to have decent acceleration online
Yes you should actually, it gives you more control and helps you build up sync attacks faster
Seems kinda pointless to play solo joycon or touch screen, at that point just play the fucking mobile port because it's the exact same shit
It's tricky, but solo co-op reminds me of the original TWEWY's control scheme since you're playing both characters at once.
Also your partner doesn't take damage at all, so you only have to focus on dodging with Neku.
The sync attacks become more powerful too, since you can use both joycon to hit the matching shapes or whatever else instead of relying on one cursor, so you can build the multiplier up quicker if you're good
Solo-co op allows your partner to stay out in battle and use three different attack pins instead of one. This makes raising the fusion/sync up much easier.
They also don't get hurt like in the original version so there's that as well.
Is there anything people want? Like wallpapers or something? I'll buy them for the people? lol
Thx
junon is the worst part of the game imo. and i hate rufus’ welcoming ceremony theme playing over and over again. but it picks up when you go to costa del sol
Word of advice. Acceleration is the most important stat in mk8d because it also affects how fast you gain miniturbos, how long they last, and how strong they are. Especially ultra miniturbos. Also affets the boost when you do tricks off ramps. Roller, Azure Roller, Buttons, and Leaf tires are the best
I reccomend you strive to have at least 4.25 mini turbo at all times. Here's a stats calculator to screw around with and all the hidden stats majorasmask9.github.io
[also there are 17 weight groups and heavies are the best
Also you can swap Wario for any heavyweight, and Inkling for any light middleweight you want
I'd say ideally you want to have atleast 3 in acceleration while still having decent speed
You should also check some wiki online because there are different speed stats for ground, water, air and anti-gravity
Good luck user
Club Nintendo was dope as fuck, nothing beats getting physical rewards. I ended up with like 6 different 3DS card cases, only used two and sold the rest on ebay last year for around 25 bucks each
So how far from optimal exactly have I been just picking Rosalina and as much speed as possible?
So just acceleration and then speed if I wanted to try harder or what?
>rosalina with as much speed as possible
You tell me. majorasmask9.github.io
Select no any weight value is fine.
Speed combos are terrible in deluxe because they lower all other stats. Slim tires are relatively fine to use though.
What’s something comfy I can play sitting in bed for $15?
(plz no stardew)
>Whacha been playing this weekend bros?
Nothing. I wanted to get around finishing Travis Strikes Back and work on DMFD before other games sneak up on me but alas.
Looking forward to Sayonara Lonely Hearts, Cadence of Hyrule and Assault Chain.
Worried about how DaemonxMachina will end up on release.
just hack your switch and pirate to your heart's content fool
but to answer that: baba is you
Phantasy Star
Is Nuclear Throne worth $14? I love roguelikes
>baba is you
>comfy
is switch really worth hacking?
Travis Strikes Back was such a slog but I finished it for Suda. Even had to replay some of that bullshit because I missed a couple ramen stands.
>is switch really worth hacking?
Having all games and DLC for free at no bricking risk, as well as several emulators and unique apps and games that people are porting such as Osu! and Monika, and all you have to pay in exchange is online play
Up to you
Terrible controls on the Switch, laggy performance, Vlambeer doesn't give a fuck about the game anymore and refuse to patch PC bugs and probably introduced new ones to the Switch version.
Am I just not a fan of Monster Hunter?
I bought GU and it just isn't doing it for me.
I play Tri and 3U a good 60 hours total probably, tried world and dropped it after 20, and GU I'm losing major interest after like 10. It's always a game that I imagine being a lot more satisfying than it actually is.
There's a reason the combo on the right is super popular online past around 10k vr and you're constantly getting hit online so everyone loads up on accel with some speed.
Maybe. Have you tried different weapons and styles?
Is final fantasy 7 comfy on switch? I’ve never played it.
It's a very enjoyable experience if you're a rpg fan
>Terrible controls on the Switch
Everyone says this about every twin stick game on console. Personally I have no issue with NT, Gungeon, Isaac on controller. Also doesn't performance for NT already suck dick on PC?
>456718361
>456718891
Why do we have so many fagets advocating theft in a comfy thread?
I'm gonna play through the last area of Shantae and the Pirate's Curse when I get off work. Its safe to say I loved this game and am glad I already bought HGH Ultimate Edition. Trying to decide if I want to jump right into that, continue Vesperia, or play another indie on the backlog, thinking BMZ, Hollow Knight, or the Messenger.
Gen 3 was the best, you're forced to play through remakes of the earlier gens so of course it's not as good
Yes, The Messenger has a limited physical release coming out. You have until the 2nd to pre-order it. Don't bother getting it from Limited Run because it'll cost $5 because fuck you.
specialreservegames.com
>mummy demastered
just finished it fuck that game
It's 34.99 on both though?
Ok. Just bought FF7. What am I in for? Is this game difficult like other RPG’s from the 90’s?
Limited Run will also charge you for shipping, which will cost you $5.
When the fuck is Grandia coming out?!
no JRPG is difficult
They're the same fucking controller. Definitely the switch pro because the retarded ass decision of putting a flashlight on the front of the xbox one controller is the only thing that prevents it from being the best controller (which is why Nintendo copied it).
How the fuck did the flashlight get past R&D?
why are they releasing all their games in july/august fuck
You can break ff7 quite easily if you know how to abuse the marteria system and glitches. Even then nothing in the main story is outright frustrating.
just bought dead cells and FFVII, which should i play first?
Been playing the game of Life and losing.
Also,
>tfw you have no less than 55 Switch titles to buy up
Whoever said this console has no games is a fucking retard.
>SWITCH
>4K
Wtf? Its just the PC version of 7?
THEMES WHEN?!
It's whatever version has 3x speed, no encounters and max damage cheast
is FF7 worth playing?
>unlocked the final cave of SteamWorld Dig 2, need to actually beat
>hoping SW Quest will be good
>can't fucking wait for FFXII, already started planning my party
>stoked for Slay the Spire's release date reveal
>hoping Risk of Rain 2 gets a port
Feels good man
Yeah it's fun unless you hate grinding but the 3X speed can help alleviate that.
do you like final fantasy games or rpgs?
Why is 3x speed so good?
I've been blasting some necrodancer as a warming up for cadence of hyrule. Never played it before.
Gotta admit I'm having a lot of fun, good game.
How does she fit in the lore tho
portals
Tetris 99
Fate Extella Link
DoAX Scarlet
Just emulate it with the retranslation
Because the game is very slow without it and can be a snooze fest.
How do I become proficient at Necrodancer?
Been trying to get back into Pokken, forgot how fun this game was.
I have absolutely no idea mang, we'll know when the game releases
Just keep playing and notice the patterns, experiment with movements and don't be affraid of losing your multiplier every now and then, it's better than getting damage.
I keep thinking this game is like binding of isaac but on a grid and with rythm mechanics.
i love mr dolphin
>talk of what actual good parts in MK8D earlier gets me interested
>tweak my parts a little but still go for looks
>decide to try out 200CC for the first time
>mfw this speed
How cutthroat is online? I'm hooked.
200 is super uncommon online.
Online gets harder with the more vr you have
I see, I might give it a look sometime then, but it's not like I'm good at this game or anything so AI is fine.
Don't worry. your races will be nice and easy for a very long while
