Toaster General

Any iGPU friendly games I can run on my Iris Graphics 5100 without my laptop imploding?
Preferably nothing newer than 2010 because I tried to play Alice Madness Returns and it runs like garbage.

The original Alice game.

Already played it

Severance blade of darkness.

Jesus Christ, user. How about Hollow Knight?

You can probably get a bunch of Freeware like Cube Engine games, Marathon, Knytt and others too. There's a lot of low req games out there, but I admit it's a pain to look.

Play free with a literal nuclear reactor of a machine in 4k ultra in your toaster
That's what I do

I doubt I can run even that

...

System Shock 1&2. Half Life 1, 2, and expansions. Sonic Adventure, Jet Set Radio. The recentish Guilty Gear and Blaz Blue might be possible. /vr/ (Retro Games) might be your friend. I've been having fun emulating some PSX games using Mednafen.

Also, pretty much anything featured on this channel:

I'm a poorfag though, otherwise I wouldn't be looking for toaster games

It's free for now, and you can play any game you own in steam or Uplay
I'm currently playing Hitman 2 on a Pentium with integrated graphics thanks to GeForce now
It's basically cloud gaming like Stadia but right now

Cave Story

>you can play any game you own in steam or Uplay
I was a consolefag until recently and if I ever get a good PC I'll pirate everything. In other words I don't own any Steam games or even a steam account.

Just look at GOG catalog.

HOMM 3 is all you need.

How come there's no PC gaming gen on /vg/?

What year is iris 5100 from? Older or newer than intel hd 4000 era?

My Macbook pro is from 2014 so probably that year or 2013.

????

Try the indies. Rainworld maybe?

I have a thinkpad x230 with intel hd4000 graphics and can run the following. Not sure if you can run the same or better or worse but its probably a decent baseline. Also I normally just play on the laptop so not many mouse games but some gamepad ones:

Blue Revolver
Commandos 2
Crusader Kings 2
Dead Cells
Deathsmiles
FF7
FFIX
FTL
Hollow Knight (this runs at really low FPS if I try to play it, if your machine is newer it might run better)
Hyper Light Drifer
Into the Breach
Momodara
Owlboy
Papers, Please
Risk of Rain
Shovel Knight
Civ III
Civ V
Sky Rogue
Spelunky
Stardew Valley
Ys Origin
Ys Oath

Also depending on the game, PCSX2 runs PS2 games pretty well. I can run FFX / FFXII at 60fps but not other games like armored core or ace combat.

I wanted to quote that user to show that this integrated gpu is roughly on level of 2009 low-mid tier gpu.

>roughly on level of 2009 low-mid tier gpu
Damn

It's not so bad: I have an Elitebook 8460p, and it's built with an i5 2540m with a HD 3000. It's even lower, but with some searching, you can find a good bit of entertainment, though certainly not AAA+ stuff. If the file is over 10gigs it's safe to assume it's too much.

Sword of the Stars 1, if you like 4x game with a very heavy focus on combat and ship design.

No one lives forever 1/2
you can get them here since they are not "officially" sold in stores anymore

Pretty fun if you like spy shooters with stealth elements

Best vidya on pc came out before 2009, so you're good.

> Finally start trying out PC building using a refurbished office machine as training wheels
> Get the cheapest video card I can find that can fit machine
> Old games that ran fine on my laptop now run over 100fps
Is this what power feels like?

>tfw too poor even for this

Everything released earlier in 2009 and earlier should run well enough.

The soundtrack for that game was brilliant.

DMC4/SE runs on calculators, just download the mod that removes motion blur and turn down the resolution.

Not OP, but are there any good alternatives? The only ones I know are Parsec's Servers and Shadow Gaming.

Spelunky Classic (Free)
Cave Story (Free)

That's a cute loli

>2009
he can't even run a ue3 game

FlatOut 2 runs really well on toasters considering how nice it looks and how many objects and cars are flying around the screen.

I can run Mass Effect on my HD3000 toaster, so a 5100 should easily be able to do it.
