Spend 20 hours on Lady Butterfly

It's not kinda weak, it's just terrible. Actually everything besides the gameplay is downright garbage: characters, music, voice acting, level design, art direction, lore, atmosphere, story, everything is subpar at best. Especially the music is particularly atrocious. It's very disappointing. And I don't think that the gameplay alone, however pleasant it is, will allow for dozens of playthroughs.

And yet ten years later I can still pop a playthrough of Dark Souls and I will have the same pleasure as always traversing through Undead Burg, talking to Solaire, seeing his cool armor, watching that sun and that view on the clouds, and hearing his soft voice saying "and engage in jolly cooperation!"

Sekiro will be forgotten in six months. I only like one character, and it's Isshin with his strong voice acting, everything else is just bland.

Yeah, it’s pretty great. It’s even one of the rare cases where the dub is on par or even better than the Japanese version. Shame about the manga though, what said is also true, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s why the anime was so short, it’s pretty much some weird porn story after a while and they stop doing the whole “MC travels around Japan on his bike and hits on women” storyline.

Dub is one of those cases where it’s so bad it’s funny and pretty good, especially if it’s only 6 episodes. It’s mostly cause of the main character’s VA.

I'm still baffled over what the manga turned into. How can such a simple and nice premise lead into such weird shit?

First read the manga a few months back and was completely taken back by how weird they went with it compared to the anime, I actually forgot a few details and had to buff up on the parts near the end just now, and man. Honestly, what were they thinking.

Golden Boy was fucking amazing and that 90s dub is the icing on the cake! i actually left off in the second episode lol. need to head to ebay and buy the dvd

Apparently the author tried to do a Golden Boy II in 2010, but I never really checked it out. I wonder if it's more of the same shit.

I remember seeing that after I finished the original, looked around online and apparently there is literally no scans anywhere of it.
