Human Revolution was kino

rushed

>Human Revolution was kino
Not really.

It still had some pretty kino moments...in the dlc.

It wasn't all that different, but screw those lame takedowns

Didn't fix anything that was wrong with HR, worse writing, worse level design.

>worse level design
The bank segment was fantastic.

It was good but it didn't seem like you fucking did anything. Is Prague any fucking different for all the shit Jensen did in the game? No. HR had you influencing world shaking events so everything felt stilted by comparison. I understand they wanted to do Warren Spector's "game in a single block" idea but jfc you can't follow up shit like Panchaea with some local terrorist who means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

level design is much better, the Prague hub is the best hub ever made in a Deus Ex, very small yet tons of stuff to discover/explore and many ways to o through it.

Reminds me of what happened to Sicario.

How many people even died in the bombing? A couple irl mass shootings would probably match it.

The rushed HR and the game was still acclaimed so they thought they could get away with doing it again.
Just Ubisoft being Ubisoft.

one (yike).

The hubs felt so damn claustrophobic I didn't get it, current gen and they still had these small ass areas. one was just a single road too not even an exit or entrance how did the cars get on the street? How?

Gameplay wise was miles better than the previous one, the level design was amazing with all that verticality and different approaches. But the story was so bad I can't even. The game runs so bad, also.

>What happened?

Your tastes. This wasn't mediocre, it was better than HR on every aspects except the main story.

HOW was this mediocre? the side-quests and level design were top-notch, the main story wasn't too bad either.

I have to give Mankind Divided's devs credit for the DLC and the fact that despite they were rushed and forced to put microtransaction shit in the game, they worked around so it was really totally optional and you could play and see everything without using it.

The one thing I didn't like about Human Revolution (and maybe MD did better in this) is that there were lots of different toys/weapons ways to solve content, but clearly there was a "right" way to do it - ie non lethal takedown followed by non-lethal tranq headshot that gave the most points. Same thing in Dishonored - here are all your skills, but use any except for the few non lethal ones and you're risking negative consequences without a meter or something to tell you how close you're coming to being a nutjob etc.

Bunch of retards

fuck off faggot

Ill smack the shit out of you bitch

Both of them are. Just need to pick a right moment.
Both had good level designs. I can fairly say they had great level design.
>mediocre
Two things that give MD bad rap:
- Sqeenix and their cash-shop
- Sense of incomplete storyline (completely subjective)

I loved MD. One of the few games I ever bothered getting the platinum for.

I'm playing through it for the first time, and I don't know, Jensen just feels very OP and makes stealth trivial.
Does it get any better?

MD could have easily been the best deus ex if it wasn't for jew enix

I bought the complete edition on the current steam sale despite my PC not being able to run it as I plan to make a new one soon. Is there a risk of anything like a VAC ban if you try to reactivate the season pass 1 run only items with cheat engine or something?

>What happened?
Square Enix can fuck off and die

Game was great

It was actually decent if you ignored the microtransaction shit. It was more HR without the weird yellow filter

Too short, game was rushed, ended on a cliffhanger, only 1 boss fight, one hub, events of the game had no impact on the world.

You played a different game then.

God damn, I hated that Gold on Black filter.
FUCK, it reminds me so much of ME 2's diarrhea of Lime Green on Orange/Red.

Fuck off with that BS!

Yeah, its great.
My issues are solely gameplay autism related:
- emp ammo for revolver that is unusable and obtainable only in last mission
- autoshotgun that cannot use normal ammo
- ammo in general
- not enough storage for packrat-hoarding needs
- stuff that you leave in your storage is not transfered to NG+
- stuff you drop/leave dissapears between mission
- grenade launcher can store four grenade types at the same time - 24 grenades total.
- kinda miss rocket launcher, plasma/laser/heavy rifles, classic stungun, crossbow, classic tranq. rifle (headcanon - prohibited/restricted weapons)
>clifhanger
Nope.
>one hub
>events have no impact on the world
Did we play the same game?

they removed the filter in the shitty director's cut & it looks like shit

human revolution has terrible level design.
It's almost entirely just sneaking through vents for stealth

SE wanted a sequelbait which combined with some other stupid shit like the preorder milestones turned a lot of people off. They didn't preorder, waited for others to finish it, game's main story turned out to be barely in the game so people didn't buy it.
It had some good points but it was sabotaged by SE so some suits responsible for the mess that was FFXV could probably cook the books and say "rook, these gaijin games made us lose a lot of money but FFXV very profitable"

Cliffhanger being you are introduced to the illuminati, and as soon as things start to get serious the game ends. There is so much more to do but the game just... stops.

Attached: MD ending.jpg (666x542, 65K)

OK ill say the level LAYOUT was trash so over all the design was trash.

I disagree. The Illuminati is a setup for a sequel/continuation. As for the game, you see a complete closed story - terrorism happens, you investigate, you bring the investigation to completion. The information/exposure you gather/see while doing it sets things up for continuation and explanation of current state of affairs - the usual hijack of organised movements, manipulations, etc etc.
>inb4 black lives matter
Nope. Doesnt fly here. Argument is about exploitation of humans, and following mistreatment born of ignorance and fear.

Its worth the whole 6$ I paid for it.

One thing that bugs me about HR is how the Plasma Rifle is only used in Panchaea.

Not true at all.

>fifty milion people died in Aug Incident
Almost as much as in World War II, they really went overboard with this one

What happened was that you didn't value Invisible War so the flaw in your taste effected what requests filtered through to the developer who finally drive their franchise into the ground.
You should have liked the right stuff in Invisible War.

I liked the bots and the transgenics in Invisible War.

the world has seven billion people on it right now, probably way more in Deus Ex times. Imagine a good % of those 7 billion people being augmented and going bat shit murder crazy during the aug incident. 50 million is not that high of a number
