Because it's really hard to make a good video game about talking about your feelings. Steven Universe has cool fighting stuff in it but it's not the main focus, so even if they did make a really good action game based on it, it's going to feel empty and shallow, and just peripherally related to the source.
In order to really do it justice, they'd have to do a really dialog heavy story driven Mass Effect kinda thing with lots of branching dialog. That's a shitload more work than you can expect them to want to put into a relatively niche product like Steven Universe.
Dragonball Fighter Z is the most recent example. There have always been standouts like Golden Eye and Spider-Man 2. It's rare, but it does happen.

The phone game's actually pretty good. The only problem is that it's not a full fledged game so the content's not that much. Also, Pearl was blatantly broken and Amethyst was useless.
I haven't played the other game that's $25 but reviews say it has so many bugs/glitches that I don't want to spend money on a poorly coded game.

Dont listen to the retard, the show is exactly about the opposite of that, most if not all charachters are fucked up in some way at the start(or start showing when pressure keeps piling on) and Steven's role is to help them get better through their failures and low self esteem, which is bad on its own because half the cast is emotionally dependent on a teenage boy and it eventually takes its toll on him, the thing I guess the user means is that it takes a looong time for the charachters to develop despite several chapters being about fixing their personal problems, Pearl is a fucking wreck of an individual and I dont know if she got over the death of Rose Quartz after talking things out with Greg(which I should say is the best charachter and most emotionally stable person in the show)

Don't listen to this retard. As someone who actually suffered through the show past season one, I can assure you that the characters learn literally nothing and are even coddled over their dysfunction. Any time you think the characters might have learned a lesson once, they return right back to the status quo by the next episode so that Sucrose can rehash the same conflict again, and again, and again. Steven is the only character that's even halfway reliable, but not by choice or good writing.

After the first season, most of the characters' development is mostly solved and the story/pacing becomes completely shit.
