It wasn't that complicated. The whole story was probably fabricated beforehand - the blurred out name, the zoomed in picture, everything - before they posted on here. They gave off the illusion that people had been working hard to unravel everything when in reality the first time it was posted the fake leaker had a fake backstory about how everything had been discovered.

you're massively oversimplifying the story here. There were (at the time) unreleased renders of the upcoming grinch movie in there; legitimate printing materials in the background; a printing company's offices were found that looked near-identical to the one seen in the image (a company known for working on prints for game developers, including bamco)...and this is only scratching the surface of how deep it really went. This was planned by a team of people working at a professional printing company.

You could barely even see the background in the photo. Most offices look pretty similar. So that point is pretty much moot. The grinch materials were found to, in fact, not be original. It wouldn't be that difficult to get access to professional printing materials, and the fact that they were the same type as the company in question could be pure luck. Iirc two companies were found and the original, where the guy no longer worked, had very loose ties to bamco and the second had done, like, one assassin's creed thing in the past.

I have no idea how much variation there is in professional printing materials. Couldn't a lot of companies have the same set up? They also could've had a job done with that company. Or worked for them.

I still think it's very possible for two companies to use the same kinds of printing materials by chance, but even if that's true, that's not that complicated, which is what was originally posted. Some guy who works for the company takes work materials and creates the fake snapchat scenario, posts it on Yea Forums, and leaks the name of another guy who works for the company. It's more work than the average fake leaker but it's certainly not as brain-boggling as people make it out to be.

the fact that, to this day, nobody is certain on the who/how/where I think speaks volumes over how well the leak was actually crafted. I mean, think about how much digging was done collectively by smash autists and still we don't actually know who made it.

Making the file is not the hard part, its printing it out on real bracelets that is the problem.

There are no real bracelets in the leak. You can print out a mock-up of a bracelet on a blank piece of paper and it'd look the same. Shit, you can just cut a long piece of paper into a long thin rectangle and you'd have a bracelet.
