Anyway I used to officer in a guild with a female co-GM from yurop. She was helpful and played her class well, and never started shit. WE had lots of girls in the guild but most of them only occasionally said anything in voicechat. I think we might have had the occassional attention whore join but they either got in line or fucked off. I don't think i've ever had a guild that got fucked over this way despite the apparent certainty of it.

I'm not part of a guild but I do have a group of friends that used to play video games together. That is, until their girlfriends started joining. We slowly started trending away from video games, either online or LAN, and into board games. It started off slow (eg, "one weekend a month" we'd play a board game of sorts") and then kept encroaching until there was no vidya left. I think some board games are kinda cool but now I kind of resent them for killing off our multiplayer sessions. They just feel so... tame in comparison.

There are only two types of guilds:
1) Full of autists
2) "Family friendly" clan that's only alive for like 2 hours Saturday evening.
