>no english
pass.

looks like shit

This is the 3rd installment in a very old franchise, and its exactly like the witcher1 in the witcher series that hardly anyone knows about it outside of China,

but the improvement is just staggering

mark this name cause after its success, when you see the 4th installment, it will be cause quiet a stir in the RPG market, maybe like witcher 2 or 3 did back in its days

(this game is mainly sold on some chinese steam like platform rather than Steam months later, thus the sale and review count is far from impressive by steam numbers alone,

and ofc with fully translated global release with even higher budget and production, meaning a jump similar to from witcher 1,2 to withcer 3

look forward to it

are you paid? cause you and your labour and human rights along with it are being seriously abused if not

Looks like shit. The only thing Chinese know how to do is a mobage grindfest.

Looks like that puppet doll anime

Looks nice. What is it about?
Not that I'm going to play it in chinese.

Playing video games shits on your social credit score in China. Which is too bad since Chinese backdrops and mythos has so much potential for video games.

youre not supposed to be impressed by its graphic

this is literally the witcher1 in the withcer series

its a 50-70 hour hand crafted 3A RPG adventure from work of a full studio selling at indie game price

just look out when its 4th installment with global release and localization comes out several years later, especially after the immense success of this one

then youll be able to enjoy a full fledged 3A RPG experience from a completely different cultural background,
finally not the samey high fantasy of org, magic, knight and such, nor the usual jp chidish saving the world braindead story of JRPGs

Attached: 下载 (7).jpg (1920x1080, 338K)

I wasn't being sarcastic when I said it looked nice.
I also wasn't refering to the graphical quality alone, but my impression of the setting, gameplay and characters from the few screenshots I saw.
I really wanted to know what it is about, but I also I'm not going to play a RPG in chinese. I would honestly buy it if there was a translation.

Right chinkanons, you want Uncle Xi's good boy points? You best start working on a fan translation

Unironically looks great. But it's not open world, is it? I want to explore an actually cool looking map but fucking nobody makes that. Okay, maybe Monolith does, I still need to play XBX.

its a story of grand scale based on eastern mythologies

i know youre not being sarcastic im just referring to it to provide some general info on the game

just look out for its 4th installment

with the success of this one i can imagine theyd really get some great funding for their next work

exactly like CD Project after witcher 1 and 2

and desu it is indeed sub par compared to most modern RPGs, pbbly not in general graphic, which is just the result of lighting and shading from the engine being used,
but the emotion on the characters that are a bit stiff, the motion captures that are not really on a high budget, and can be felt through out the game, and various other small things, but still, this game sold like hot cakes

Tiananmen Square Massacred

Where's the sex?

Why is she wearing a Burqa?

fuck off bugman

>no english translation

Time to buy it any way and then review bomb it. Oh wait I'm not a chink

Well, this isn't much information to have a proper idea about the game.
Also, there is only a page in chinese wikipedia about it (there is one in english about the first game, but says very little).
Still, I will try to keep in mind in case there's a 4th game. But I don't see why it would matter in case it really will be a success - since in that case I would known about it in any way.
Information about a future translation would be much more interesting, specially because I don't feel inclined to play the game without having played the previous ones.

though personally i wouldnt reccommend the game just yet, especially without translation
(even with fan translations, it likely wont work, too many hard to translate things that need the official touch and work from scratch

think witcher1, its good but has issues

but im really seeing some promising signs here, look out for their next work

>Time to buy it any way and then review bomb it. Oh wait I'm not a chink
Who the fuck would give money to someone they don't like just to give it a bad review.

Also, Valve censors bad reviews now anyway, review scores doesn't mean shit.

It's the western-localized version of the game.

user, if you are trying so hard to shill for this game (or it's next installment), at least you could give more concrete information about it.

Fuck off chinks

i know u want white people to like ur bugman game but the best means of drumming up interests is for the developers/producers themselves to announce an english translation and make an effort to communicate with the english speaking audience.

im sure you all appreciate it when a developer makes an effort to include chinese translation or responds to chinese fans of their product with the goal of understanding how to better cater to them

regardless, while it looks nice and the setting does interest me, i can see developers deciding to continue making these games for solely the chinese market because they may feel that they will lose some of their narrative or aesthetic quality because they have to appeal to a larger/global audience, which is fine. i don't expect chinese developers to appeal to anyone besides chinese people. not holding out for much despite u shilling the idea that the huge amount of sales in the chinese market could somehow translate to another game in the series with a budget for english translation and localization

looks like a shitty mobile mmo with storebought assets

I'M GONNA SAY THE T-WORD

Even if it gets translated, chinese games, if they ever get translated, have the absolute shittiest and cheapest done translation possible. They literally pick chinese people that know some english as the translators.

But I've been reading shitty chinese webnovels for years. I already know all stories the government allows you to tell.

Why isn't it on Epic Games

come to think of it
actually i dont even know what im doing

pbbly like the urge you felt when you want to reccommend some good games to your friends

but i cant,
cause this game is not localized,
and even with rough translation it wont work, it has to be done by the official or a competent team

guess im just posting on a whim after having fun with a good game

and as a RPG fan with a constant thirst for good games like witcher3, happy to see finally a eastern styled RPG

Why the hell are you shilling a game with no english translation on an english mongolian throat singing forum?

Can you create your character? Can you fuck cute girls?

Looks interesting, but why should i care when its not in any language i speak?

I clicked the link now my computer is playing communist music what the heck?

Looks very nice user but you don't honestly expect me to buy it when I don't know any Chinese?

the enthusiasm is great but unfortunately we all live in linguistic culdesacs that determines our value judgements and guides our ability to understanding the world

so back to ur rice hut, chink

>graphics are better
>combat is better
how will CDPR shills cope?

actually this game was firstly only sold on some chinese platform

many fans requested steam release cause they lived outside of China or theye mainly jsut use steam, thus the steam release,
and there are many even demanding english version

and dont you doubt that this studio knows and does nothing other than to make RPGs,

i can bet they're already in the planning phase for their next RPG game, with much higher funding, budget and experience from the current one and extremely likely a wider release, that definitely would include english localization

Is this a Sekiro reference?

I bet it has better combat too.

>buying chinks stuff

Attached: firecracker dog.webm (224x400, 1.7M)

According to reviews, it does. It's a proper action game, unlike witcher 3.

well, witcher 3 is the worst game I ever played combat wise and I played games bordering on the thousand, so that's not saying much tbqh

but yeah from the few previews I checked out combat seems dope. I'm not learning chinese tho so they better ramp up a translation

why does china hate dogs so much

If i wanted to play Witcher 3 for the gorillionth time i'd play Witcher 3

>trying so hard to fit in

name a game with worse combat than shitter 3. sands of time maybe qualifies but not really because combat is at most 20-30% of the game

user that's the joke. Because chinese have done that with several games.

>IZA

those are requests made by a vocal minority of possibly bilingual users or white peepo masquerading as chinese speakers.

you havent made a compelling argument as to why the developers would consider english localization other than "they will have a bigger budget for your title."

what is it about the game that you think will appeal to an english speaking audience that has played games like the witches, kingdom come, elder scrolls, etc? what elements of this game appeals to the audience of the games ive listed besides the superficial resemblance between these games. how does it stand out and how do these differences appeal to an western mindset? don't talk about how they appeal to YOU as a speaker of the chinese language and as someone immersed in Chinese culture by having grown up with it around you like I have grown up with American culture around me.

also, English localization costs money. it would be a significant investment for the developers to make on something that may not translate to increased sales, not to mention the advertising and marketing necessary to capture interest in the western market. so already, there are two large cost, high risk, and uncertain reward investments that the developers would have to undertake in order to get attention in the western market.

if you were the developer, would you take that risk, or just invest all the money used to localize and market the game into actual development?

**bigger budget for their title

sorry im a piece of shit phone poster

>comparing an action platformer to an rpg
What a brainlet. But sure lets play your game.
Witcher 1 and 2 both had worse combat,Skyrim,Gothic,Risen,VtMB and shit other jank rpgs that come out every year.

you're literally wrong on all of those and have shit taste. all of those games have more variety and are more responsive than witcher 3 except w1, which does it better anyway because it makes you feel like a witcher. AND RISEN? SERIOUSLY? have you even played the game, you stupid plumber shill? the game is fucking amazing combat wise. no animation quality does not equal good combat.

BESIDES. WITCHER 3 IS NOT AN RPG. it's at most an action adventure game with very few RPG elements. and combat is 50% of the fucking game. 50. fucking. percent.

>other jank rpgs
Witcher 3 is the one title that manages to combine jank with AAA bloat at the same time hahaha. Such an overrated piece of shit.

witcher 3 combat sucks dicks dude, why are you defending it?

but thats koreashit

Chink Ellie?

Attached: Ellie.jpg (700x700, 321K)

>how does it stand out and how do these differences appeal to an western mindset?

it already stands out as the only eastern styled RPG (only Bioware made one years back named Jade Empire or something)

localization if only done through UI and subtitles costs pbbly a fraction compared to the total cost of development

marketing through Steam is already enough, send soem review copies to IGN and pay some shills youtuber and its all you need really, think KingdomCom Deliverance, im sure they now have much more higher budget than the devs of Kingdomcome

Sekiro just came out you FUCKING RETARD. While Japanese cultural markers and Chinese cultural markers aren't the same, they are going to remain equivalent in the mind of the uninformed. Games like Nioh, Yakuza, (possibly) Shenmue 3 are all going to occupy that same spot of "eastern style game" that you claim there is a void of. You can certajnly argue that there is a huge lack of games that take place in medieval/ancient/whatever China that this game could appeal to, but there is plenty of competition in terms of "eastern style games."

Also, you seem painfully unaware of how localization for games works. Here's a medium link about the price and process of game localization: medium.com/@nikolaybondarenko_41585/how-video-game-localization-works-and-how-much-it-costs-in-2018-664e2748a121

tl;Dr: It isn't as easy or a quick as you think. It's a multi-step process and professional, top-grade translation is typically done by larger translation firms who utilize specialized software to translate and localize.

A game being available on Steam is not the same as marketing on Steam. Unless the developers pay Valve to promote their game on the store front page. All the other points you made are valid, but even then, it's still indeterminate whether the methods you listed would work well to market a single-player RPG.

so it's an inferior jade empire

Attached: dims.jpg (1600x1034, 476K)

>use your chink sense to track the perp
>follow the red lines and press the prompt

>get into combat, shamisen starts playing
>damn you're kuso
>here is your rice, whole village chipped in
>500 nuyen get
>"TIANANMEN SQUARE MASSACRE" finished
>YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

the eastern style im talking about obviously is the one as in this game, rather than modern japan or smurai/ninja sht

actually the setting doesnt even matter that much,

theres a huge unsaturated market for witcher3 like games, especially after bioware and bethesda dropped their balls,

thats why assassin creed odyssey succeeded after making their game into a poor man's witcher3 with simple stealth

tahts why microsoft purchased obsidian looking foward to the Outward game

there's sicifi/space, theres post apocalypse and theres high fantasy, and now theres even cyber punk soon to come,

a much more improved and localized version of this game will be in a freaking perfect position to tap into this market

localization ofc isnt cheap, but theres profit to be made, thats why translation firm isnt out of their job yet

FUCK OFF OP

Can we review bomb the game page with negative reviews like the chinks do

The Witcher 3 was garbage though

only the combat

It's another "Neat looking Wuxia Chinese RPG or some other video game that isn't in English so you can never enjoy it" episode.

But hey at least Chinese Parents is getting a translation so now westerners can know what it's like to grow up with asian parents.

How much did you get for shilling this, user?
Honest question, because i would love to get paid to shill games all day.

>English language not supported

that's what EU said

your first three posts are "please buy my game it's literally the witcher 3: china"
your 4th post finally says something of substance and states the game is entirely in chinese
fuck off, shill. and don't come back until the game is english-supported.

ayy lamo

white flowered battlefield is a trope

Look user, I have the first 2 games on my wishlist as well but because I can't read and understand Chinese language I can never play these games. I've got a whole bunch of these foreign language Wuxia games wishlisted waiting for english translations.

ive been saying since the 1st post look out for its next installment, because its another CD project red story, and now they've just finished their witcher1 or2, and is on their way to their witcher 3

Where's the tiddies and the fucking? It needs to have those basic things or I'm not interested.

I swear I could noticed deterioration in the clothing I used to wear in my game, like them usually getting dirty over time or noticing tears in them or cloth patches used to seal the tears.
It was cool but now I realize that maybe I just mistaken it, didn't pay enough detail to the details so I never noticing what other stuff I had on my clothing.

It looks good, is the combat decent?
I would like more chinese themed fantasy games, I'm tired of japanese folklore.

this, you won't get my money fucking qidian chinks

any good chink shows i should watch?

One thing the chinese and korean devs have to learn is stop making every character like a porcelain doll. They have to drop the perfect cute faces and add more realism, true beauty is in the small imperfections

That's why i will forever shit on China. Not it's people, but it's governing body and enforcement agencies. I know that, given the freedom, Chinese media, especially games, can create the same seismic shifts that Japanese media has. But that will never happen if Chinese artists and creators aren't allowed to speak and develop their own voice and style. They'll forever be limited to copying other styles because that's what's approved.

this 100%, chinks are pidgeonholed into doing boring crap because the government stamp down on all contents they deemed bad, their "original ideas" will forever be garbage as long as their government filters exist.

You're also forgetting that if any theme or genre becomes too popular they tend to ban it for no good reason.

This

China's full potential could be unleashed if it wasn't for what is keeping their own creative liberties stymied. The Cultural Revolution fucked over the citizens far more than people think.

youtube.com/watch?v=PJyoX_vrlns

>You're also forgetting that if any theme or genre becomes too popular they tend to ban it for no good reason.

not really, they have been doing three kingdoms and journey to the west to death and beyond yet those are always the first theme you see from the chinks.

I do know for a fact that they ban writings that contain themes of "excessive" violence, sex, betraying your superiors and occultism (even their local beliefs), not even the best writers can write a good story with those restrictions in place.

Oh there's a reason. If something is seen to have extensive growth and isn't tied to the government, the fear is that it will create counter-revolutionary ideas.

Which is the greatest irony in communist governments. They were installed because a revolution was needed to quell a oppressive regime, but it makes sure that revolution against it's own oppressive regime cannot be made.

English Language/Western release when???????

Nah they make some decent games but they don't get translated or get very poor translations, it seems Tale of Wuxia got an upgraded translation and it's a pretty good turn based RPG with Sim elements.

Fuck China and their brain washed chinks; why isn't Taiwan, the refuge of the artists of the cultural revolution, doing anything in the video game industry?

im so glad this turned into a western propaganda thread

I got interested in Gujian when the first ones appeared on steam years ago, but those fuckers didn't translated them yet. I know quite a bit of mandarin, but it's not enough to consume chinese media without dictionary in hand.

they're too busy getting angry over being called chinese

China is literally an orwellian dystopia.

>china
>communist
Lmao, china is literally the opposite of what socialism and communism stand for.

Too busy making 'japanese' mobage trash.

Am i wrong, though? Where's the lie in saying the communist countries, more than non-communist countries, suppress the free expression of artists?

I'm not saying that we're perfect or don't have a lot of work to do (Sony is emblematic of this issue) but at least we can make jokes and create subversion without the fear of getting thrown into a jail or murdered.

>Lmao, china is literally the opposite of what socialism and communism stand for.
I'm not really sure there is an opposite of communism, seeing as it stands for fairy tale magical land with no basis in reality.

Are Taiwan mainland cocksuckers or is that Hong Kong?
