I remember how much I loved the way stuff in that game looked. The great interiors of the main Vegas buildings, the neon lights, the architecture and inside lighting... but this is bafflingly bad. It’s like a mix of anthem, bioshock infinite and fallout 4. How did they fuck up THIS badly?

It is most certainly not. Most of the devs for new vegas left. I like how people assume the dev studios that make their favorite games will continue to make games they like. Even though the industry has high turnover rate for devs. People constantly come and go, the only thing that stays the same is the fucking logo.

Op's pic aside, the game just does not feel fresh at all. I feel like I had seen everything in it before, it was a kind of ricky and morty fallout firefly bioshock. There is no sense that the game is offering an experience that I can't get elsewhere, or experienced before. Maybe if they had made it in 2008 it would feel different but to me it just seemed like a stunning lack of creative vision from a studio that likes to boast otherwise.
