Life got in the way, managed to open the hero edition card pack and man.. you're not guaranteed all cards.
I also pulled mastered ui goku in-game.
Ill be here to answer any questions about the game, im currently 10 hrs in.

Wait, does the game give you cards in-game with a gacha system? And are the real life cards randomized too?

The real life cards are randomized, I the pre order I bought clearly had different cards displayed as well.
You earn tickets by playing, and early on you get a fuck ton for clearing missions.

Don't even know what to ask. Whatever's interesting. Never played a Heroes game.
Can you customize using stuff you didn't unlock yet? Like, could you give kid Goku UI before you got your first UI Goku card? How many stuff is unlocked since the start?
There are no micro's as far as i've discovered, the servers for online still aren't up. So I can't activate my pre order cards yet :(

What do you mean by that? Microtransactions? I'm just asking how you obtain cards in-game. And if it's randomized.
The custom card stuff is VERY basic, and you need to unlock pretty much all of it by either collecting the cards, or all the seperate custom parts you'd need to get your desired card combo.
Making your own card is pretty cool though since you can re-size and rotate the pictures to your liking and add more than one character into it, you can also add in little graphics like Chi-blasts or wallpapers.
If it's possible to share these custom cards online i'd be sure to make some OP supoort type cards for you guys so you can get thru SP and get some quick gacha's.

There are no micro transactions in the game, that's what I meant.
You gain cards by pulling from gacha's with tickets you earn by simply clearing levels.
If you get doubles, you'll gain ticket shards which you can combine together to create either a regulair ticket, or a gold ticket.
Gold tickets give you a higher chance on rares.
It's enjoyable, the game does do an okay job at explaining itself, but it certainly has a learning curve of some sort.
if you're not a big card/rts fan it's not worth the 60$ price tag though.
If you are a gacha fan, it's actually worth it.
Damn, I don't see the point of that in a non-f2p/non lootbox game. I get that there's so many but it seems impossible to pull everything.
I'm a Dokkanfag and like JRPGs but could never get into RTS.
Who knows though, I used to have zero interest in card based games and Kingdom Hearts made me very much enjoy Chain of Memories.
There is a JP demo out iirc. You could try and check it out.
Only on PC. Also gay that they rarely do limited editions for PC in general. I would like those physical cards.

Naw, I wouldn't go that far. not a collector but that;s one of the few collector's editions that has something I'm actually interested in. By the way, did you see the Broly movie in theaters, and if so did you get a trading card from it? I saw the original Broly and Fusion Reborn movie a month or two before and they handed out Broly and Gogeta cards. Got nothing from the new Broly movie.

Is it Japanese voices? Not a fan of funimation after the Vic scandal and they recently did some terrible casting choices for Dyspo and Belmod in DBS dub.
Also they changed the script in one episode to throw in a Trix joke.
