Dead Space isn't fun.
The reasons Dead Space isn't fun and was always worse than RE4:

>Enemies aren't fun or interesting to fight
>Character movement is slow and clunky, melee is jank and feels like you're swinging wildy trying to hit something and when you do it doesn't feel like you did.

Yeah I had the same feeling. It wasn't bad, it was good, but not the amazing experience people acted like it was. I felt like it went a little downhill after the RPD. The adaptive difficulty was stupid as usual too.

This applies to the Dead Space series more than it does RE5 and this is coming from someone who actually played RE5 and DS.
sure its OTS, but it doesnt play like a typical one. its more effective to shoot legs to either stagger and run past or blow off the leg and safely stab it to death. headshots arent recommended either unless you are playing leon and have the shotgun, or unless you go for handgun crits
