I'll start. How the FUCK do I beat corrupted monk at fountainhead palace?

Tips for the Snake Eyes.
take away his first bar, immediate jump to cliff then jump deathblow
both snake eyes can be deathblown first bar, then it's a matter of dodging her shot and parrying her shit and stepdodging away her grab
You can cheese her like a faggot sneaking on the branches or get the satisfaction of downloading her moveset, reacting appropriately, and beating her legit- your choice
Just got to this guy.
Any strats against him?
I can barely get to his second phase and just die a few seconds later anyways.
Nothing.
It's be offensive, parry, and counter.
You either git gud or get fucked.
His second phase is easier desu, just do what you were doing before but when he does his lightning attacks just air counter them.
He's actually a lot less of a problem then you think he is.
You can stealth his first two phases.
When he comes in if you are on the furthest right branch you can aerial stealth kill him on his recovery when he lands.
In second phase when he is making clones in the mist his real body will be in the middle of the mist so you can aerial stealth him because he is too focused on making clones.
Then just fight the last one normally.
Always be on him, attack until he deflects, deflect everything. When he jumps, deflect the landing and mikiri counter.
2nd phase, same thing except after his jumps, jump kick him (he usually sweeps more often here; if your reflexes aren't fast, just jump counter and take the thrust hit if he decides to do that)
Third phase, mikiri counter his first skill, stay on him and deflect when necessary. During lightning jump to his right and also press R1 in the air and hope it counters.
people would tell u to stealth kill her but u can deflect her attacks and chip some damage to build better posture damage, and since u already know her moveset it should be pretty easy (she doesnt have the same posture recovery as the illusion).
>gift gud XD!!11!!!
Off yourself.
It's your first exam in Sekiro class, cheesing is only going to hurt yourself in the long run.
Plus the lightning thing, do that.
Like the other anons said, keep pressure, do a classic 2-3 hits and deflect (he will most likely try to attack u after 2 or 3 hits so its free posture damage), when he pulls out the bow just protect urself unless u know how to deflect them. Also theres that combo where he shoots 2 arrows and goes for a hit, so u have free posture damage or u can dodge and get a free hit When he jumps, u can use shuriken or just dodge to the side and hit him (wait a little because the tracking can fuck u if u dodge early) also after that jump he will do a sweep i think so u can jump and get posture damage o dodge and get a free hit. Also firecrackers.
be aggressive, only dodge his arrows everything else you can parry
if he deflects prepare to parry one to two strings of slashes
if after 2 slash he bends backwards he will do a floating passage, parry it L1_L1L1L1__L1 and punish the opening following it
after a jumping slash he will do thrust in phase one, phase two he'll do either that or sweep
With the last phase its the same as the other 2 except he has a perilous attack where he jumps a thrust so u can mikiri him, and the lightning attacks where u just jump and deflect it (or just jump to not get killed). Also firecrackers
Not looking for help, but I'm wrapping up Kuro's shopping list (in Mibu village), and I'm worried the rest of the game is just going to be a boss rush with rehashed areas.
Do the speedrun strategy, it's easypeasy
youtu.be
Finished my first play through. Absolutely fantastic game and definitely worth the wait. I got 70 hours into it but that's because I've been playing blind since release and also thoroughly explore, experiment, and upgrade everything. Well, mostly blind because I did look at ending requirements once I got to the key decision with owl. The challenge was adequate and the new combat was a lot of fun. I'm assuming/hoping there will be DLC so I'm saving my second play through until then. I'd say I died the most to butterfly and genichiro because they really taught the game mechanics in my opinion, especially genichiro. I could easily stop them now since I got much, much better. Beat Isshen on my third try and demon in about 10 more or less.
Also, we need more combat art slots. It's such a simple thing to implement so I hope the dlc adds this.
>
look forward to one new, fuckhueg area
after that is when the fun begins
is this the best boss fight of all times?
Beat him like every other boring as fuck boss in this game. Stand still, tap LB and ggez
>assblasted mod deletes decent lore thread
stay classy Yea Forums
To the guy asking who destroyed the historical Ashina in case he sees this. It was the Date Clan.
Why is Kuro so cute?
So what did everyone have in their item slot? I just went full gourds + ceremonial tanto. Healling, ailments, and emblems. All rechargeable.
Is there any point at all to using the Umbrella over deflecting normally?
THIS. What the fuck is wromg with them? They mad because they ran out of hot pockets?
FAGGOT
Yet there's tons off topic trash still up.
Kill yourself janny
>wolf pats his prosthetic just like the sculptor.
pretty cool detail.
Only Healing Gourd and the return shit.
MY NAAAAAAAAAME!
thanks user
literally git gud dude, there is no secret formula, either that or killyourself and wish to have better reflexes and pattern recognition in your next life, faggot.
Only time I ever used the Umbrella was on the Demon of Hatred fight to tank through the shockwaves of the Jump.
I'm in the Kongo jungle and I've found the Main Hall idol. Running through leads me through a cave out back to an item. Is there somewhere else I need to go after getting that item? I feel like I've searched everywhere and just keep ending up back at that shrine.
There's a locked door in the main hall, but there's no way around. This cave/tunnel goes the other way to that.
Where to go lol
the timing for that is same as for terror on ape, you can run away from it
that skills from under shield strike though hits posture good
reach the top of main castle
>double lone shadow
What the FUCK were they thinking?
>you can run away from it
I know but the jump attack requires me to move forward a bit which ends up with me missing one more attack.
>finally beat owl
>corrupted monk is easier yet still job to it
other then getting a jumping deathblow on second phase are there any other tips
i don't ever remember two lone shadows in one location and i've killed all the mini bosses
for you to puppet one of them.
see
Umbrella is one of the best tools. You can counter hard as fuck with projected force. There's the lilac and lotus versions that prevent fire and terror and can also counter with the same attribute. The timing is easier than a sword reflect and it can absorb projectiles to further build the counter damage. Also, you won't get knocked back like you do when deflecting strong attacks with the sword. Its easily a top tier tool and my favorite along with shurikens. I just used the lotus version to beat the hate demon and it's strong as fuck.
Dude is just a glorified mook with a flashier 2nd phase. Just like the enemies in the castle he is easy if you just go ham on his ass and parry when he attack back. The tables can turn if you slack off on the offensive so don’t let that happen.
For his lightning mode it’s literally the same thing except with 2 special attacks. Both can be countered by doing the lightning reversal BUT if you are having a real hard time getting the timing down I suggest you get the senpo flying kick from the temple skill set. There’s nothing like channeling lightning into your feet and drop kicking it back into that fuccboi.
it's a lone shadow + weaker version in ashina castle 2
she gets stunlocked by firecrackers, ash and snap seeds, also confetti rips her ass open in p3
umbrella spin deflects deal more posture damage than default with a wider deflect window
just deathblow the normal enemy from the dojo idol and then kick vilehand in the head
wish I could use that without thinking about emblems
You are progress blocked. Go and fight Static Shock on top of the castle or explore other areas.
You're supposed to just run jump away and then grapple back to him when he does that jump. Lets you stay close, avoid damage, and get a grapple attack in.
Used the ninjutsu which turns the normal enemy into a friendly. It was easy after that.
I have killed static shock on top of the castle. I have also found the white flower and one snake heart.
Where do I get more of that stuff that lets me hurt the headless guys?
puppet ninjutsu is funnier, it's even set up so second guy dies if you keep him alive for second healthbar
you can also puppet sword guy near second spear general
people without stealth game experience really miss out on a lot of little things in this game
>find out I didn't get the good ending
I never thought to eavesdrop on friendlies
>that posture damage after the kick in the back
holy shit
the only ending where nobody dies is giving hearts to "rice" loli
High Monk counts as a sweep punish with a high posture bonus
It's also the only ending setting up to Sekiro 2
Why does everyone wants cheese strats for everything? Just learn the game, learn the enemy moves just play the game what the fuck
I regret ignoring this tree now.
well, I could argue cheese strats is how you supposed to play this game, being sneaky ninja and all that
>high monk doing more damage than a Mikiri-counter
Damn nigga
Quick question: will I get the bad ending if I kill off certain NPCs? This guy is looking for that shamisen music and I have the option to lure him to that NPC in the abandoned dungeon.
I'd take it he's going to die there?
you can delay when isshin gets his spear if you just keep on attacking him and trading blows. really makes the second phase of his fight easier.
Well shit, I only used ichimonji-double throughout the whole game. And mortal blade.
yeah he will and you get some lumps of fat.
if you don't lure him, and continue his quest line you get a jizo statue.
no, he doesn't affect the ending at all.
I suck at the counter where to step on a thrusting attack, how do I get the timing down?
everyone is completely irrelevant to which ending you can get except for Kuro, Emma and the Divine Child
Seven Spears cheesy strat
>Ungo's sugar
>R1 R1 R2 (Axe)
>gg ez
KIlling NPC's is unrelated to the endings.
I can get the part 2 air deathblow but not the first
Ichimonji is severely overrated.
just dodge forward into the attack as it's being thrust at you
>got bestowal ninjutsu
>lasts maybe ten seconds
>costs SEVEN fucking spirit emblems
>can't use it with cross slash
>can't use cross lash with divine confetti either, it cancels the buff
I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO FUCKING ANGRY. NOT EVEN WHEN I WAS TWO THUNDERBOLTS AWAY FROM GETTING THE SUN CREST AND SOMEONE FUCKED ME UP
>no bell demon
>ungo sugar
>still has Kuro's charm
don't post
I've just been having trouble with this guy actually
this game kicked my ass first playthrough, let me have some fun
Its very forgiving, just treat it like you would any deflect and dodge forward as soon as the windup for it is almost moving forward.
Practice on hanbei. Only press circle, don't tilt the analog stick in any direction. The window is pretty generous.
You defeated Isshin, the game should do you no trouble anymore.
STOP MAKING SEKIRO THREADS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>Ichimonji double
How is this useful? I can easily be countered because it takes time to do the pose. I've heard it's a good follow up after a mikiri counter, but with that charge time, how?
Am I retarded?
>don't tilt stick
stop this meme
it works best if you deliberately dodge forwards into the attack
>ungo sugar
Bitch are you serious? This thing lasts for like 0.00005 seconds and barely does anything, why you gotta shit on it of all things
he would be if you couldn't grapple cheese half his attacks
this
because the only reason to use an ungo sugar/spiritfall is if you're not man enough to use ako/yashakiri
Wait so how exactly do you parry lightning? Do I have to get hit mid air and then do an attack before I hit the ground or what?
double check what i just said
I had to use the stealth sugar to get that first deathblow
so i just beat corrupted monk specter version but i'm wondering where the regular one is, what the fudge guys?
I beat the monk in the mini village but it felt ..... underwhelming , when I saw he only has one healthbar I thought there was gonna be a second phase but nothing
Jump but not too early and R1 before you hit the ground while locked on. EZ
>still seething over Bloodborne
feels good
Is there a point of no return where I'm locked out of content
>You can cheese her like a faggot sneaking on the branches
Can you actually stealth her? I beat her normally, but any time I tried to use the branches for anything her swings always had the range to hit me up there.
holy fuck this worked for me thanks
did you use confetti?
>No third phase fighting the grieving horse
Usually there's time to use it on bosses which whiff certain attacks. I liked it for its ability to stagger and relatively decent damage.
Does Divine Loli have a tight pussy?
Here's something I'm not sure if people know: you can continuously spin the axe if you hold r2, release, then hold again, etc. It will keep consuming emblems until it ends with the overhead. I also wanted to point out floating passages use: its meant to be used with buffs like flame vent living force. You hit a ton of times and can easily cause burn with it.
Anti-Monkey Trouble
Once you pick up the 2nd of the divine smelling materials you lose a lot in the castle.
>deflecting/blocking punches and kicks deal more posture damage than weapons
Okay
Suggestions for prosthetics on the owl fight?
I keep getting killed midway through the second phase
how many main locations are there? i'm kind of stuck in the temple. The place were all the monk immortals are.
Surely, you'll never see that boss again.
Jump up in the air and get hit, then hit R1 before you hit the ground. You get stunned a bit when you're hit by the lightning, so if you jump too early, you'll land and get shocked.
I will purposefully drop a combo to bait an easy deflect.
Block lots, dodge backward for grabs, punish that.
literally just git gud
It works the same either way. I was just trying to let him know that its not even necessary to have the foward input. Whatever is more comfortable.
Castle top. Blue samurai drop it
The spiral spear prosthetic is a decent counter and its cheap cost lets it keep the pressure on even when she tries to get out of range. her phase 2 can be countered by going to either end of the bridge so the phantoms only spawn infront of you, her physical moveset is the same. Her third phase is hyper aggressive, spam tap block and you can deflect most of her attacks, make sure you have pacifying powder or the purple gourds if you get hit by her vomit move.
Which one? In the poison cave you stealth deathblow her once, then lure her into the poison 3 times and then she will be vulnerable to a death blow
You want to dodge forward so if you whiff it you can dodge past them to at least avoid damage too.
>Kuro's charm deals chip damage when blocking
that's it?
and what does demon's bell do
and is there a way to get to demon's bell early?
When you beat the boss at the entrance to Fountainhead you can buy confetti's for 300 sen from every vendor.
just beat him last night, i tried dodging and running around and it didn't work so i tried going offensive and i beat his ass easy, just attack constantly and you will win
bell demon increases the difficulty but makes it so that basically all enemies drop upgrade material
Yeah, where you find the first headless in Outskirts, there's a hidden doorway behind the headless to the bell. It's clearly just intentionally there just so you can get the bell demon.
you can get to the demon bell as soon as you beat chained ogre by wall jumping onto the roof ledge that leads to the shinobi shortcut
demon's bell makes you take more damage and gives you a massively increased drop rate
Oh that explains it, was wondering why I attack right as I hit the ground and I couldn't get the parry off
>shit talk two people in twitter saying that
>"ALL GAMES NEED TO BE ACCESSIBLE BY ALL HANDICAPS"
>and
>"THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING A CASUAL AND PLAYING ON EASY, STOP JUDGING ME FOR TAKING THE GAME OUT OF VIDEO GAMES"
*BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP**SHLOP*
UH-OH POO POO!
YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO NOW, SEKIRO?
YOU HAVE TO CLEAN IT ALL UP
*WHIIIIIIIIIIIIF* AHH
SMELLY DOO DOO I DID POO POO

*BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP*
*SHLOP**SHLOP*
EXQUEEZE ME EHEHEHEHE
NUMMY POO POO FOR YOU YOU
STINKY SLOPPY SQUISHY PLOPPY
POO POOOOOOOOOOOOOO
combat arts are useless
literally unequip them as an accidental l1 + r1 will get you killed.
wish there was a map or an objective that was more clearly shown. i feel like I'm just wandering looking for the end of the level.
It depends, there's sometimes enough time after a combo or even a punish to pull it off, even with Isshin. You just have to test it. Really useful to heal up your own posture while doing a bit of damage as well.
Thanks bros. Just beat Gyobu and haven't died since I started ng+, need to keep my ego in check
Its one of the best skills in the game. Its free, does good posture damage and vitality damage if unblocked, and restores your own posture. Perilous attacks are typically openings for combat arts and tools. After a mikiri, attack once and then do an uncharged ichimonji double. You have time for this. They'll guard both hits but take good posture damage while you restore your own. After a sweep, jump off the enemy and start your ichimonji in midair. It's a really good combat art and most importantly, its free.
Did you ringed the bell on the table?
Is this your first fromsoft game?
difficulty levels are honestly such bullshit.
I just want to play the definitive intended experience the first time round.
I don't want to be discussing a game and have the other person say "well you only feel that way because you played it on normal, on very hard it's better!".
I don't want to choose very hard to get a challenge and be met with damage sponge enemies in an otherwise easy game.
Having a standard difficulty with NG+/Pro mode/self-imposed debuffs is the way to go.
Why does the great colored carp end up in the guardian ape's watering hole?
>high monk sweep punish is useless
don't post again
t. never gonna make it
yes
Just beat the DoH and I'm ready to move on to NG+, kind of. Why are so many anons having trouble with him? Not trying to brag as I died a good number of times, but it's basically trial and error, more so than other bosses. Sword Saint took me like 5 hours while DoH took me 30 min.
For those struggling, just stay close at all times and jump when he does the claw attack. Also, use Malcontent during the 3rd phase.
You are not an honorabu Samurai. You are a dirty autistic ninja and goddamn it let me be one for once.
it's fucking amazing for the posture damage.
use it when you have the chance, it's more likely than you'd think.
Often times you can get a massive window by setting your enemy on fire.
that's where the fountainhead waters run to, eventually
What was his name again?
A big part of the fun in these games is the exploration, a lot of it relies on your own inner motivations to see what the world has to offer
It's made so that so long as you go where you are interested, the story will progress.
>did double monkey trouble first time
Feels good man.
If this is all it was I swear... I don't remember ringing it, but I also don't remember starting the game so
Pressing circle with no input dodges foward so its just preference really.
people always find ways to ruin bossfights for themselves instead of learning how to do it.
In DaS3 most people did the stupid downward plunge cheese on the ancient wyvern instead of fighting him properly.
Owl tips? I've seen the cheese against his 2 shuriken/slash, but how the fuck are you actually meant to fight him? He can fucking mikiri counter you.
The whole reason the flower the ape was protecting grew there was because the fountainhead waters pooled down there, so it had divine properties. In the diveable pool by the waterfall, you can actually see some debris from Fountainhead palace buildings that washed down there, so I guess the carp just got swept down the waterfall too.
To be fair high monk have the disadvantage of not being able to interrupt the enemy. If the enemy have a follow up attack after their sweep, like the corrupted monk’s sweep, then you are kinda boned.
ah okay. so it doesn't matter where I go? just explore. thanks.
>says the retard who was having trouble with O'Rin and immediately called it easy shit after coming for help
Stop trying to pretend you're not a butthurt retard.
good for you.
It fucks with your head until you realize brown monkey is weak as fuck and you can easily wittle him down with jumping slashes while kiting.
I died a few times from the camera more than anything.
I guess that's reasonable. The thing is the size of a bus and the waters feeding the fountainhead waterfall are shown to be very shallow, but whatever.
as with all bosses, parry spam
when he tosses the balloon jump to the side and slash him twice
I one shot him so I can't really tell you much other than stay on him and keep the pressure up.
Oh that's actually a really cool detail, I hadn't made the connection between the debris and the palace yet.
For me, I just baited attack, run and slashed, then poked when he did his shuriken combo.
>massively
where can you find the owl? is it the temple?
>He can fucking mikiri counter you.
So don't stab him.
The thing that helped a lot for me was how much he wants to do the heal block. As long as your healing is unblocked, he'll throw that little gas bomb out every couple of attacks, and it's always a free hit.
You can always punish the gunshot by running up and hitting from behind.
Jump away from the grab.
She'll usually do this two hit combo that moves into a gunshot and you can always punish that gunshot too if you recognize the combo.
Just bait those moves until you win.
?
yes
massively. with both temple drop rate skills + demon bell every enemy is a pinata of items
so I have to disobey Owl for the boypussy ending right?
Yeah just go back to where the centipede monk was at in the main hall of the temple and ring the bell on the table. That’s the next step for Temple.
qft
Obviously yeah
Another tip for people is to utilize jumping slashes and sprint. Jumping slashes work really well as a free gap closer and sprinting helps a lot on bosses like hate demon and the apes.
Just beat dual grape ape and got my 7th necklace. Who the Fuck do I have to kill to stop being shot by lightning in the palace?
yeah I think this is another Souls-memory situation.
In those games, running attacks would leave you very vulnerable.
The fact a sprinting jump slash is so safe may surprise a lot of people.
Kinda makes sense
I'm just peeved the rarer items still require hours of grinding
The guy shooting the lightning. You can see him do it from the big tree. Until then, avoid swimable water.
Attack him. He'll guard and deflect. Once he deflects, counter. You have to get into sort of a rhythm of clashing back and forth. Once it clicks, it's extremely satisfying.
Is upgraded ichimonji worth grinding for?
Thats not cheese though, thats how you're supposed to beat that boss.
like what?
>lazuli
2 playthroughs is enough to upgrade everything
>Fulminated Mercury
drops like crazy off red samurai and you don't even need that much
>anything else
you should have effectively infinite amounts of everything else from playing normally if you rushed the two temple drop rate skills when you found out about them and activated bell demon
you'll fight him around the game's homestretch.
>use kuro charm to try it out
>takes like 6 minutes to take genishiro down even playing perfectly
I guess this really is for masochists, even in my first original try it took like 2 mins and that was playing sloppy and without mikiri counter and the sort.
you're depriving yourself of a perfectly good bossfight by doing that.
Kuro Charm doesn't do anything whatsoever to the game besides make you take damage if you don't perfect parry.
Which ones? Only ones I had in short supply were Grave Wax and Fulminated Mercury, both of which I could get grind enough of for my upgrades in less than half an hour each.
Where to go from Hidden Forest idol? I beat the mistman
How many new mini bosses are added during the 2nd Ashina castle run?
I am afraid I will miss any.
behind the mistman's house are you blind?
I can't fucking take it anymore
>1st phase
>no sippies left
>boring as fuck and easy lol just spam L1
Still pretending you don't get assraped?
Pretty sure he had at the very least far more posture than usual.
It doesn't make any sense besides that.
not sure about prosthetics. but side stepping his overhead slam and anti-item debuff were owl's biggest openings for me. also run back and regain lock on him asap when he uses the smoke.
Yes, which is exactly why From should implement easy mode for disabled people like me. You fucking ableists.
Of all the casual filters you fucks could succumb to, this was the one i always told myself "Yea Forums is shit, but they aren't THAT shit"
Provided you explore properly the only materials you will be missing by the end are Lapis Lazuli, Yellow Gunpowder, Fulminated Mercury, Wax and Grave Wax.
Lapis Lazuli unfortunately requires a NG+ run but all the others are very easy to come by. Mercury is the rarest and even that doesn't take long from the Ashina Castle Idol after the ministry invades.
>Seven Spears of Ashina
>there's only two
Where are the other five? Dead?
"teleports behind you" prosthetic does pretty well against his wide slashes, since he takes some time to recover from them.
location names filled the travel screen (without scrolling) by the time i was done. expect that many.
please don't tell me you actually fully died to folding monkeys
Are you in ng+ or base game? Only explanation i have if you're in base game is last time you fought him you had the Ashina skills that boost your posture damage and this time you don't
From the start, turn around and kill the invisible one
Far middle, hit the bell
Open the door in the dark room and drop down
Just sneak on the loud one
>Stab monkey behind you
>Run straight to the bell
>Ring bell kill monkey
>Open door on left side of the place
>Reset
>Deathblow monkey next to the door you opened
>Sneak around and kill last monkey
Ez
sword saint took me maybe 10 tries and I tried demon of hatred for maybe an hour and said fuck it.
i hate how i instinctively move back while jumping during sweep attacks
Does he respawn?
There's only the chained ogre on the castle's first floor, a lone shadow in the dojo, and one more lone shadow in the serpent shrine. There's also a headless in the lake out back that should now be accessible.
also, pay attention to the dialogue. npcs spell out where you need to go next fairly often.
>please don't tell me you actually fully died to folding monkeys
Killed myself right away just to see if the fourth monkey was just supposed to be me but the monkey was invisible after all.
>I tried demon of hatred for maybe an hour and said fuck it.
He's not that hard once you realize how predictable he is, just circle around him anticlockwise and jump a lot and when he's at range don't get suckered into running straight at his firebombs like an idiot
I see I can take back Kuro's Charm by talking to Sculptor. Is there a way to reactivate hardmode after taking it back? I want to farm without worrying too much.
Fulminated mercury. Needed 20 pieces. Got them in an hour popping ballons amd running bell demon so no big. But it gets boring.
No it's a mini-boss with the HP of a normal Okami Warrior.
>to see if the fourth monkey was supposed to be me
holy fuck why do i keep seeing this
the bell description that forcibly pops up when you start that fight describes Sekiro as a Wolf like what the HECK is wrong with you people
he doesn't.
I wonder whether Gyoubu was one of them?
I accidentally hit this nigga now he's gone. Where is he? Traveling didn't fix it.
>tfw just chased them down and slashed all of them
I didn't even know you were supposed to use their gimmicks since they react to us too slowly
Because it's a method to subvert the players expectations. It's stuff that happened in other games so if you played those games you are inclined to think it might be the same since it follows a similar pattern.
Dunno, but if he's dead I wouldn't worry too much about it because there's another pot lad later on that gets his wares if you do a thing
does demon bell effect bosses?
I read on here that it doesn't and have had it on all the time. I was stuck on Genchiro for like 3 days and took breaks to go everywhere else I could.
I read on the wiki some people saying I does make bosses harder.....
Idduno I like a challenge but I don't wanna be stuck so long on more bosses 1st playthrough.
got Severance and Return endings, might go for purification next or take a break for a bit, I seem to be short 3 beads and still gotta fight hatred and deal with that last cunt headless in fountainhead
Help, i'm having too much ______fun
>ggez
>1st deathblow out of 3
>no estus
>talking hot shit
Fuck you
Bullshit. I first tried genichiro in less than 3 minutes. You're garunteed playing to passively. Genichiro has a bunch of attacks where you can get a free hit in then parry. I get him to around half health every time I death blow him
How do you get poison to affect her? Didn't do shit when I just tried it. Unless you need to keep her in there for a while.
>69
What the fuck user
What was the challenge here? It took me 5 minutes. I wouldn't really call it a puzzle.
I didn't get him to half his health in neither bars, my attack power might be too low for ng+ since I just don't use some memories and the mask gimmick.
Grats, you quit o the pinwheel of sekiro
What happens if you let the red robed okami dude grab you?
Don't say that, you could actually die to pinwheel by being too passive.
>kill ape
phew
>ape again
what well I do more dama-
>it's two apes
fuck
finish killing them and looks like without knowing im using an item that makes the game harder
fucking hell
Man I guess I got lucky with the 4th one since I have no idea what it’s gimmick was until I bumped into something invisible around the Folding doors. If it wasn’t for that I was about to go and stab the monk, or Kotaro, since I thought the 4th one’s gimmick was disguise.
the final prayer necklace mentions that there are only a few left now, so i would assume so
i am really grateful for the posture system
lmao @ the pic
He purposefully follows you around so you notice his footprints or bump into him probably.
A while means A WHILE. Like get her into the poison pool and then go eat dinner type of while.
What are you at? I fought him with 4 attack power and 3 sets of beads. Then again I also fought lady butterfly before I fought the chained ogre so I got good pretty quick
NG+6, only used the 5 skill into 1 attack thing twice i think
treating NG+'s as glorified boss rush helps, it's fun parrying everybody and their grandmothers
how do you defeat the giant fish?
I actually died to pinwheel first go, technically. I died to the fall damage into his arena
Does ringing the bell increase the amount of skill points you receive?
For me, was more hard the first fight with father than the second one.

This fight is mandatory or i lucky?
Asking from work so I might get some locations wrong
But where the fuck do I go from the grave site in the castle. I went one way past a shrine to the sunken valley, beat snake eyes and that long arm girafe or what ever his name was. But think I hit a dead end from there
So I went back to the shrine, and hit the grave site idol, but at the end of that path is a broken bridge with seemingly no way to advance from there.
Where am I supposed to go?
I’m not a smart man. I thought those foot prints were some kind of a trail from one of the Monkeys that I can see.
I'm fighting lady butterfly but she's kicking my ass. actually the whole zone kicked my ass. is doing the memory as soon as you get the bell way too early?
No.
It doesn't. It should.
>buho(padre)
Is there Buho(Madre)?
Gun Fort’s progression is blocked by Genichio’s boss fight. Aside from that the only other place I can think of for you to explore is the hidden forest and the shit that’s behind it.
There was a centipede monk? I pretty much sprinted through there because I was busy searching. The irony.
i'd say it's 'intended' to do hirata memory directly after you beat the first non-optional main boss, but the difference is minimal.
You never have to do the memory at all for all but one of the endings.
climb castle
I got loli priestress, the ape's white flower, and the stuff at the end of Mibu. What do I do now? It doesn't seem that there's new areas.
I finally got to Ashina castle, is this where the tutorial ends?
If you want the easiest path of progression its
Outskirts to just before Ogre
Hirata to Flame Barrel
Ogre
Outskirts boss
Rest of Hirata
for me it was like this
>get to ogre
>die 50 times
>explore find bell
>clear hirata
>finally manage to kill ogre
Hirata is a tutorial level.
Spend Treasure Carp Scales at the Pot Nobles, talk to them until they give you Truly Special Bait and feed it to the giant carp at the feeding grounds.
Fucking owl (father). Hardest boss so far. Had to sleep on it before i was able to beat the bastard. Spring-load flame vent was pretty good for this fight to get him below 50% faster.
He was like the only dude who was able to talk to you inside the temple, amigo.
>get to guardian ape, stop playing due to boredom/frustration
>play again, defeat, get to the enjoyable part of the game again
>get to fight two apes
This shit is annoying, you already spend a shitload of time on bosses, why recycle them? I just spend like 10 minutes in one fight because even in the first phase the ape would spam the scream. At least I can get a few attacks in when he jumps. Then I get to the second phase and then circle around again because either the second one is throwing a tantrum right when the headless uses attacks that I can deflect/punish or the headless is just circling around and immediately screaming when I go for a sprinting slice.
And if From wants people to use lock-on they should make a better locked camera, not make the free one shit.
For me was the first fight with father more dificult, IDK why.
Go back to the castle.
Unrelated note, I missed the eavesdrop before the invaision between kuro and emma i think. I'm not sure if there even was one but i want to get the Owl2 fight and if i fucked up i have a backup save i can go to. Can anyone confirm if i did or did not fuck up?
that monk doesn't show up if you go there after you beat genichiro
I getting fucked so hard by owl help
Its not a recycle its literally the same ape. You'll see why if you beat its ass again.
most people got double ape first try
guardian trains you well for it, you beat guardian by hit and run tactic? there are better and easier ways.
Attempting to complete the memory as soon as you get the bell could be pretty difficult on a first playthrough, mostly with lady butterfly, since you probably would have only 2 gourd drinks and maybe 1 health/posture upgrade, IF you found that secret bead just before the butterfly.
Probably easier to wait to finish it after you get more gourd drinks/+1 attack upgrade/health upgrade.
i don't ever remember an eavesdrop conversation between kuro/emma and i had the option to do purification at the end.
Pretty sure the important eavesdrop is just on Kuro himself from the window and on Emma/Sculptor
You can talk to him? I ran at him and immediately smacked his ass as fast as possible like all the monks up until then
guys, where do i find corrupted monk?
I'm a 2014 newfag. How many major games have been hard enough for Yea Forums to have a 24/7 help thread up? I can't name one.
which invasion? as long as you haven't beaten divine dragon you're still good.
nail the timings for deflect, and be aggressive
hit and run works but it will take you 10-15m of focused fighting I can't do that I start to slip at around 6-7m mark, easier to learn timings
I do that after the Owl fight correct?
How to beat grandpa Isshin?
I will work this out, thanks for the hints. Back to the game I go.
How do I reach Genichiro? Is it from the grave site idol or the one before? At the castle gate I think
Anyone else on a feudal Japanese media kick now cause of this game? I'm watching Dororo right now and it's really fucking good. I'd recommend anyone who likes Sekiro to check it out
I want to do the Owl2 fight not purification. I am going for purification.
Does Mikiri Counter work on bosses? I press O when the red sign shows up but I can never pull it off.
Get to the spooky forest first.
the emma/sculptor one is the eavesdrop that directly links to purification, you get that one and you're good.
I think if you eavesdrop Kuro saying 'do what must be done' then you're good, because that's what Sekiro brings up to Emma that kicks off the chain.
What's the deal with dragonrot restoration? I'm at 5% unseen aid and everyone is sick. I have a few droplets and the vendors have a few more. Should I do it now? I JUST unlocked the restoration menu.
they are just called help threads for some reason
all decent games are talked about this way outside meme failure threads
Yep, dodge into them as the windup finishes.
yes just the same as with regular foes
Press O when the simbol dissapear.
you need to dodge forward, not just dodge
Climb the castle nigga. Literally. My god what are you doing missing out on the experience that is WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
mikiri works on every thrust attack in the game, including the red samurai who trust two weapons at once and the ninja kick attacks
that's really, really low user. I hope you haven't been choosing to die instead of resurrecting because there's absolutely no reason to do so. Using one drop will heal everyone afflicted and you get like 15 drops per playthrough
practice on Hanbei until you feel comfortable, then mooks>mini>bosses
Thank you. I was freaking out because i eavesdropped on sculptor and Emma already and she didn't show up the grave.
make sure you get the sample for emma before you restore, then just restore whenever it drops below 15% for more ress power
So it won't matter too much if I go do the normal way first?
I haven't leveled up yet and just have barebones skills with the health restore on kill to help with attrition and maikiri counter boost thing which I got because those two spear guys right before the cave were hard as fuck getting multiple counters against.
I get the feeling I am seriously underprepared for butterfly.
>IF you found that secret bead just before the butterfly.
I did not. gonna have to go look for that next time.
the best upgrade would be whatever increases posture damage right? health seems largely irrelevant because I either get hit and die or I don't.
AFAIK it does nothing beyond unseen aid in the minute to minute gameplay.
Thanks bros
oh i beat the ghost one, but where is the normal one?
...
Dragonrot only reduces the chance for Unseen Aid and stops NPC questlines from progressing. If you don't care don't bother healing it. It doesn't have serious consequences.
I hope so
later.
Yeah just use it at that point. Shits limited but unless you are doing nothing but jump off a cliff you should be fine with the amount of dragon drops the game throws at ya.
>I hope you haven't been choosing to die instead of resurrecting because there's absolutely no reason to do so.
I do this when I fuck up badly at the start of a boss fight, are you saying im less punished if I die twice or something?
I thought people said the NPCs can die and disappear forever?
Whoever here adviced on High Monk being the best skill, thank you.
Trivialized a lot of bosses.
I did lady butterfly before ogre on my first go round. Its doable.
No, is only press the O/B Button, not forward + button.
The other one is at a super lategame area so don’t worry about it for now.
4 prayer beads upgrades both health and posture, there's never a choice.
Has this monkey puzzle appeared in some other game? I feel like I've done this entire level before. Even the fat dude with the anal beads that you teleport here feels familiar.
It's literally the best prosthetic against phase 2 ape
I just did the one at sunken, have no idea how you approach it to stealthblow her first bar?
as for second one in poison pit i guess i could figure out how its done.
is he at the monk temple? pls tell me.
Me too. My first boss was Lady.
use all the time on boss you can get. don't just die
I didn't know about monk tricks and fought her for 10 minutes with 5% health, failed but killed her next try without breaking a sweat
if you already eavesdropped there just talk to emma again and she should give you owl's bell, that's all you need to get to the fight
>mfw just realizing the okami people are eels
>no face cause someone in my country keeps shitposting
no, but a lot of people (mistakenly) thought that resurrecting caused dragonrot and not dying, when it's the opposite.
Also the only thing dragonrot does half afflicted NPC's quest chains, it does nothing else.
What was his problem? His actions make no sense at all
forward + dodge is the most reliable way to mikiri
>sunken
hook in, bait her to the lower end of the left cliff, then immediately bail out the way you came
come back, she'll walk slowly to her starting position
ez db
it's after you bring kuro all the things
Spooks, but you can deflect almost anything including most of them too.
oh i see, thank you friends.
I know how you feel man. The fight was way easier then the original Guardian Ape fight.
to own the country. really if he would be rude to Kuro and exploit him he could do it.
Wait, so in NG+ and onwards, there's no limit to how many Battle Memories you can eat for more power?
Double trouble absolutely blows if you aren't the sprint out of range of everything and spam chip damage shit kind of player.
where did you guys go after genichiro? I just beat him and it seamed to open up like 3 different paths
does it matter what order I do it in?
Because it's immortal I guess but I don't give a fuck what kind of story excuse they use. At least give me a few different bosses before serving me that shit again
>most people got double ape first try
ok
The first time the scream pushed me into a corner, was stuck blocking/deflecting one attack pattern from brown ape and got killed by the fucking scream
>you beat guardian by hit and run tactic?
Dodge/deflect and attack. Second phase too. The only time I run is when he's about to scream or when the brown one goes apeshit to cover more distance. Everytime I'm close to killing one (I guess around 2-3 hits left), they just stay together and I can't get an opening.
I did talk to her. She didn't give me a bell. Shit.
how do you progress in the monk temple when you have reached the place where the old monk is telling you about some girl?
I've been seeing people say that the Ashina Gate shopkeeper restocks dragon blood droplets. Anyone know how often that is?
What does NG+ change?
The first one can be backstabbed by coming back from behind her slowly. It won’t place you directly behind her but in this game as long as you are not directly in front of the enemy they won’t notice shit.
His name is... GYOUBU MASATAKA ONIWA!
I've gotten close a few times but I know most bosses have a second phase and I haven't managed to get her low without fucking up and using gourds or resurrection.
and I only have one of those spirit things which I assume I need in her second phase.
>upgrades both health and posture
that's pretty sick. I definitely gotta go find that then.
what upgrades attack then?
you can't yet, go back and explore the castle to open that path
the only thing that restricts attack upgrades is reaching the cap of 99
>there's a cap
shit
>what upgrades attack
the item you get from killing any big boss (not mini boss)
Until you’ve stabbed Genichiro in the face, that’s all the progress you are gonna make at the temple. Also don’t forget the skill book.
>First play through
>choose to "Obey the "Iron Code" cause I thought it was a test to see if I was listening during the Prologue
>doctor girlfriend and gramps take me to Pound Town
>on top of that I'M the asshole
I w-was just doing what you taught me :c
the castle, huh...
is she still at the temple? after the eavesdrop you should be able to press her about what you heard and get the bell from her
>it now costs 50,000 for a single skill point
I should go to NG+ already
The usual. Enemies have more health, deal more vitality and posture damage, your own posture regenerates slower and you need to hold block more.
Some Key Items you still own are replaced with other stuff like Bundled Jizo Statues and Coin Purses.
Brown ape first. Has lower health. Bait combos from white and get a few hits in on brown. oil and fire work well here.
your muddas cunt OOOOOHHHHHH
I would actually like to know this myself
greed. give various sake to isshin and he talks about owl.
>obeying a smelly old cheating ninja over miko-sama
yikes
Dojo. Get on the roof again by going up inside.
NG+ isn't hard, go ahead
I finished the skill trees naturally on NG+5
Seems like you missed DaS2, DaS3, BB, Nioh and those are just about games that are somewhat similar.
If you would've read other threads than this one you would notice that it's pretty much the same questions/bosses with a few people talking about the game.
This game is frustrating at its core, that I assume some people even take 1-2days breaks in between boss-roadblocks.
Or are you not asking seriously and just want others to acknowledge how superhard it is and how special someone must be for beating it? If I'm not mistaken we had something similar to that about BB some months ago but it was more like someone taking a shit on it for not being hard enough or something like that and posting his plat trophy
Being immortal is pretty cool. It's possibly the most advantageous attribute a Shinobi could possess. Especially if the only downside is hurting people you don't care about.
I have no options to get info from her. I can't even click the talk option anymore on her menu cause it disapeared. I missed something. Fuck it, if i ever do NG+ then i'll get the second fight then.
>Anyone else on a feudal Japanese media kick now cause of this game?
Not really. It's way too much of a weeb game so it kinda turns me off. Especially with all that katana clashing shit
Nioh on the other hand was pretty interesting.
Honestly it feels like Unseen Aid triggers the most at 10%
Anyone else ignoring consumables and prosthetics besides shuriken entirely? I never wanna use them
>having trouble with o Rin of the water
>Leave her for a while because no divine confetti left
>Decide to go back
>Just run around and chip her
>Beat her first try
Based
They definitely didn't account for hoe cheap running would be
i never use consumables in souls games. its the rpg potion complex over possibly needing them later, and the fear ill fuck up and waste them
Dragonrot doesn't do shit.
Literally just get right before the owl boss fight and make a save. Then go do all the side quests
Yeah same
i honestly think that's why miyazaki wanted you to play as a ninja in this game. he wants you to do cheap, cheesy shit sometimes just like a real ninja would. he's encouraging us to beat the game in any way we can, dirty or not.
I'm no afraid of NG+, I'm just really autistic about having all the moves. I only need like 5 or 6 more. Got all the upgrades too except for the lapis ones.
shes super easy if you just deflect her attacks too yano
They always acount to it, they leave cheesing strats up just so shitters are going to use them since souls.
from software knows they're not going to get anything out of making the game absolutely actually hard.
What’s the best ultimate technique and what’s the best secret ultimate technique? I’m leaning towards ashina cross
You never needed divine confetti for Orin.
All you had to do was deflect all her attacks and attack at opportune moments. She's like the easiest boss to posture break.
It makes me feel like shit watching my NPCs suffer. Especially cause I had asthma as a kid. Hearing them gasp for air makes my heart hurt.
No one ever blocking shadowrush made it feel pretty broken to me.
What in the fuck is this ape? It's kicking my ass hard.
dude trust me, you'd have a better experience leaving that and going boss rush sprinting everywhere but the mandatory ones on NG+
My nigga. Ichimonji is more useful tho.
Using resurrection won't fuxk me over right?
>fighting the ninja in the well
>camera decides to lose the lock on
It's the most anime ape that has ever been
lol dude, lmao, like, just deflect my dude
seeing those monkeys for the first time was great, but i went in there right after fighting centipede for the first time, and then got killed by snake falling down, so i barely had any drink and there are just a billion of them with sword and guns.
it’ll only fuck your reputation among us, but no penalties in-game
Firecracker, ez win.
He's old and wants immortality
Honestly, I feel like the sheer tedium of sprinting around is what balances out the strategy. I could probably beat every boss by running around and only going for safe pokes, but it'd take 20+ minutes for each boss, and I'd rather try 5 times doing it properly than do this.
why is gwyn in japan?
>he doesn't know about THAT
Then they shouldn't make the "real" way so boring. Coming up with some cheese strat is the only time I had fun with this game so far. If I wanted to go over the same patterns over and over again, I'd replay one of the Rhythm Heaven games, at least those games are fun that way
Firecracker and/or deflect.
Or just run past him
His charged kick or whatever counts as thrust so you can use mikiri against it.
Also use a jump deathblow if you don't do that already.
Otherwise yeah, it's the usual awful lock on camera from From, except this game we kind have to use it
Anyone else disappointed how black phantoms are working currently? I expected them to show up anywhere at any moment. But they're fixed, there's not even any change to what spawns. Imagine if the enemies you've killed the highest number of started hunting you on every map, or showing up in boss battles.
Took me hours and I am still pissed. Died maybe 50 times at least
You can wall jump all over the place in that fight to take advantage of the close quarters
>Obeying the Iron Code when your father lost his mind
Disobeying your parents is your duty as their child if they are on their way to self-harm and destruction.
yeah, would be cool
I suggest you practice against them when they show up at the castle.
>can't parry sweep slashes
>but you can parry laser beams and gigantic sonic waves
I kinda hoped they would've kept the realistic idea of combat to the end, but I guess not.
Also Genichiro's mortal blade not perma killing you felt pretty eh
deflecting any of his moves drives up the posture meter by fucking 40% for some reason
Should I just roll with Ichimonji: Double for the rest of the game or there's a better combat art?
>oh man I totally hope nobody is going to push me off this bridge in my unpiercable but heavy armor
Where the fuck did that Ape learn martial arts in the first place? I honestly feel like all these apes are actually cursed humans or some shit.
How do I kill the headless fuckers? Is there any other trick than just using the confetti and anti-terror powder?
>I kinda hoped they would've kept the realistic idea of combat to the end, but I guess not.
What the fuck are you talking about?
>realism in games
I need to kill the dojo guy, the headless man and/or woman, the armor guy, the spooky cave guy, the Solid Snake gun guy, and I hate my life.
My dude, deflecting every attack and pushing their shit in and taking a big ~75% health chunk out of a boss when I snap their posture feels better than sex.
>Seeing grape ape's second form for the first time
I'm honestly more impressed than I am peeved. That wasn't as impressive as MY GUIDING MOONLIGHT, but that transition was such a fucking power move
The major theme of the era was everyone betraying each other
Owl was just continuing the tradition
Purple umbrella
Did you miss the first line?
Explain to me how a sweep isn't possible to be parried but a laser beam is.
this, he didn’t raise you to be a subservient bitch
not if you perfect deflect
apes can copycat human behavior if they see it often enough
Angry Candy
Confetti
Mash R1 and stunlock them
Where should I farm Sen? I'm at the Guardian Ape, killed Genichiro. I can't beat this fucking monkey without the firecrackers.
purple umbrella, purple healing gourd, terror powder, divine confetti are the only tools, I think
Flying Monk is better in certain situations but Double Itch Jumanji is pretty solid.
I mean it is nice to have in some games but why would you expect that from a game with resurrection magic, clashing katanas like in movies and even highly-functional prosthetic that can be fitted with all kinds of shit?
Ape was giving me a lot of trouble as I had been trying to parry my way to wins until then, I audibly shouted no at the screen.
Monkey see monkey do. Money see a lot of war and monkey starts copying shit. In all seriousness that’s a somewhat common troupe in Japanese media.
at most you'd parry it with the tip of your blade and that wouldn't do much. L2 fencing
I'm still having trouble seeing after using too many explosions with the prosthesis
At first parry to his face, I thought 'what if I parry his back?' so I did the tech that jumps behind and that smashed him out. Was doing that mandatory or I could have continued to try to pierce his face?
Also, is he a nod to GIANT DAD?
Similar reaction to Blackflame Friede in DaS3 for me
tips for O'rin?
I WANNA BE LIKE YOU
you can do it without it, otherwise pop wealth balloons
confetti, a noose
that's it
And how do you block the entire gigantic beam of terror with a slim blade using the same logic?
The game is just too damn easy. Thankfully my boy dragon agrees with me.
>Doctoru paveru, I'm cia
Parry and goomba stomp
How is anything factual he tries to complain about literally incorrect?
>I kinda hoped they would keep a realistic tone in a game about a cyborg ninja coming back from the dead
If theres any bigger dishonest post than this I don't know what it is.
>Sekiro has should have difficulty choices like Summoning/Grinding (which make the game easier).
>But the game was actually to easy though
Also the fucking retard should ring the Bell Demon.
I did it like three times and tried the spear until he said how awful it would be if you'd push him down. I didn't want to continue trying after that.
But the game has a hard mode you absolute joke of a reviewer
I've only got 1 confetti left over from shichimen
Do you guys ever deflect? I just beat the four monkeys illusion boss and the only enemy ive deflected against was the miniboss before genchiro, other than that it's been dodging and r1.
There's a reason brainlets on this board worship him like a god
I said combat, is everyone on Yea Forums unable to read those days?
Ashina elite drop it in the castle. Pop a balloon of possession and you should get a few from a couple of runs.
can't beat the final boss not even genichiro. only two options cheat or uninstal
I kind of wish his first form had two deathblows. He went down so much faster than Ghost monk I knew something fishy was gonna happen.
>NG+
>Kuro charm
>Bell demon
>no hard modes
nigga what?
Can't wait for his 2 hour long take down of Sekiro for being "too easy" all the while claiming there should also be an easy mode put in. The ridiculousness of this statement is fucking hilarious.
I wouldn't call it that hard either, it's just frustrating. Checkpoints are always close with no bullshit around but fucking up once results in death very often.
Regular enemies are shiteasy
>Realistic combat in a fromsoftware game about cyborg ninjas coming back from the dead
You retarded or just American?
Get enough hits in to turn her posture bar yellow, bait the flurry attack, spam L1, let her ruin her own posture.
it’s much quicker to deflect once you get the timing
>can't beat Genichiro
>dude doesn't even use Way of Tomoe
Man you are gonna have a rough time with the second phase of Isshin
NOW NOW, let's not go too far with it! One thing is difficult, another is TOO difficult. Joseph's heart couldn't take it.
Demon of Hatred third phase, should I save malcontent for the final phase? how many gourds should I save up, even 3-4 aren't enough at times.
Just learn when he does the sweep and goomba-stomp that shit. Best way to get some good posture damage in.
Literally every boss, even the Ape.
Fucking called it kek. Like pottery.
not even the best boss fight of the game
I've never been able to parry in any dark souls I've always beaten the games by dodging alone though i did learn how to counter in bloodborne in ng++
>tfw sad everytime i manage to kill SS isshin on subsequent playthrough
if i can i would replay that fight so many times mang, so close to jotting down those spear combos of his and punishing every last one of 'em
I'm going to use CE to increase my attack power and there is nothing you fags can do about it!
Oh my fucking shit.
this guys is cheese, after the first deathblow just us firecrackers and ichimonji double at the right opportunity. also learn to mikiri counter his spear thrust, he's the easiest to mikiri counter.
I deflected almost every other boss because it takes to much time to dodge and attack. I can't imagine how long the final boss would take if you didn't deflect attacks.
How close am i to finishing the game I'm now at the weird illusion tall fat guy with a giant spear
the timing in sekiro is very different
>have 9 gourds, 5 prayer necklaces, 5 attack power and still can't kill Corrupt Monk in Mibu Village
I just hold down block and then jump back after the sweeping attack and then use the spiral spear after the upward slash, but he keeps throwing out the stab and I can't tell when it is a stab or a sweep and I keep dying.
Oh my god fuck off you piece of shit
I ranged the bell. It doesn't if I perfect deflecting. Still 40%
>This is the kind of wretch that 70 of Yea Forums gets all their opinions from
Try gittin gud
Make sure you aren't tired or anything that might slow your reaction time. Take a break and come back later if you need to. And finally, try to be at full health when you go into phase 2.
>he doesn't know that enemies scale with AP and he'll only be doing a slight amount more damage even with 99 ATCK power
Have fun
depends on what other bosses you have killed since there's a 3-way crossroad one being the Corrupted Monk (false) you just got
I'd say half if you did the others
I can't kill fucking Owl. How do I do it? I haven't even got to his second phase yet
Well I'm going to have fun then.
sekiro is on frame most of the time, not like magic pre strike moment in souls
how many bosses with Memories have you killed? Cause the monk can be fought early
Also he apparently doesn't know you cannot be stance broken if you deflect properly.
About 60%
Distract him with mice
christ what a fucking faggot
Is Sekiro THE filter of the century?
All manners of shitters were exposed and blocked by the game
Be a better ninja
For real?
I think I two shot her just doing R1 and deflect. No confetti.
I've killed the guy on the horse, lady butterfly, genichiro and monkeys.
Where do i go after killing the monkeys? Am i supposed to kill the giant fat illusion guy now?
No summoning exposed so many Soulsborne "vets".
Yes, and then to Sunken Valley, they key to the Gun Fort is in Kuros study room.
Horse guy, lady butterfly, genichiro and monkeys
Gun Fort or Abandoned Dungeon
He didn't even finish it did he. He's pretending the game was too easy for him but really he's one of the fags crying for an easy mode
You can on bosses like Corrupted monk or on Seven Spears overhead windup attack who have attacks that go through posture..
If anything you start falling off. Did Owl (father) on ng++ with bell and his HP bar was fucking massive.
What is it with people that played these games calling themselves "veterans"? It's so cheesy and retarded.
You want hard? Make elites respawns. Hell make them replace normal enemies. Imagine, ashina castle filled with nothing but lone shadows. Shichiden warriors everywhere at night. Undead blazing bull cone to gore your shit in mini. I will make you break your console!
it’s all up to skill levels, you still have a good amount of bosses left in your playthrough (and a few in other playthroughs)
Worst thing about you zoomers is your fucking reliance on twitter. Do any of you have thoughts of your own?
does it actually have iframes on the startup? I usually just jump and then do art midair
Well I used all my confetti and can't get anymore, so I'm forced to kill her no confetti now lmao
I guess I could try to kill the monkey guard guy, but he is too hard after his head comes off. I forgot I still had to fight him until I started typing this post.
Can you dodge or mitigate that in another way? If yes, it doesn't seem like a problem.
Haven't even played the game myself, just shitposting for the sake of it.
>9
That soon?
can't even trigger deathblow. only when he has like 1hp
>he said on a form of social media
You do realize the Irony in this statement correct?
But we're making fun of the Twitter vermin
In abandoned dungeon am i supposed to kill the purple magic necromancer looking guy? He destroys me whenever i try to fight him
You can farm confetti from the blue kimono dudes at the top of ashina castle, though the drop rate is pretty low.
I had 9 by then, did you not explore?
you can get confetti by killing samurai in ashina castle
You don't have to charge it up. It's still slow but fast enough to be used against any enemy. Also a great punish when bosses leave opening like Isshin's own missed Ichimonjii.
You could dodge it, but good luck doing it on The Monk. It's better to take the little bit of posture damage and preserve your momentum.
I'm not sure if that's true. As long as I've deflected I've never been posture broken, it just sits at full until I get hit/block.
I feel like his second phase is easier. You've been fighting guys with swords the whole game.
this actually just happened to me
I think it has anti-sweep iframes
They're memes to be hardcore so they think they're hot shit for having played them
Don't worry about doing Vit damage, keep up pressure and break >her guard
Do enemies really scale with attack power?!
I fought all the way to the top of the buddhist temple and to the gun fortress and to the corrupt monk all before I beat Genichiro. He was too hard and I needed to get all the upgrades I could to beat him.
I haven't tested it either actually but i would assume it would go through if you had really high posture. Unless you want to test it, i'm going to assume i am right.
I look everywhere and often see items in the distance but who has time for that shit. 9/10 times it's a fucking pellet.
>*enfeeble*
fuck fountainhead palace
Can you have multiple save files in this game? I wanna start a speedrun run.
Looks like it's counted as a jump, which has iframes.
Yes you can. Go for it.
This, I don't think I've ever taken chip damage from non apparitions if I had a perfect deflect
>throws two shuriken before bar fills up
Gee that was hard
>enfeeble
>terror
>frenzy
>cursed
Why does FROM love shitty status mechanics.
so I missed the entire purification route and now gotta do Owl 2 on NG+, how fucked am I lads
What is this jump attack called?
I don't think so. I went back to the memory level towards the end of the game to grab mist raven and I was one-shotting everything.
high monk
Not chip damage, posture damage is what we were talking about.
>beat a few times genichiro without taking damage in the isshin fight
>realize I could actually kill him in the start of the game
I feel powerful bros
>dat posture
Well fug it, time to shelf Ichimonji for a bit.
I don't think that's happened either, I've had a near full bar and been able to keep going as long as its a perf
Huh, I honestly thought my game was bugged when enemies were missing me so much. Yeah I know, i-frames, but it was happening a lot.
At what point does the skill point bar take longer to fill up? Is it after you purchase the final skill in a tree?
My farm route used to fill the bar, now it fills about 3/4ths, if not less. What a drag.
He's easier than his castle version.
Isn't posture damage scaled off HP?
>At what point does the skill point bar take longer to fill up?
Doesn't it increase every time you get a point?
Im guessing its just based on how many points you've earned
Yea Forums isn't social media you fucking mouthbreather. There's no accounts here. Being associated with this place is a black stain to your career.
Oh, maybe. Could be I just didn't notice it getting gradually longer, I did revisit my farming spot after doing some other shit.
If you want to test it to prove some random user wrong on Yea Forums and maybe find out something new about the game that will eventually be stolen by content creators who lurk, be my guest.
Had the same problem and ended up killing him on the 4th attempt. Of course dying multiple dozens of times on Owl 1 probably helped immensely but I think Owl 2 is quite a bit easier than the first fight.
Social media are interactive computer-mediated technologies that facilitate the creation and sharing of information, ideas, career interests and other forms of expression via virtual communities and networks.[1] The variety of stand-alone and built-in social media services currently available introduces challenges of definition; however, there are some common features:[2]
Social media are interactive Web 2.0 Internet-based applications.[2][3]
User-generated content, such as text posts or comments, digital photos or videos, and data generated through all online interactions, is the lifeblood of social media.[2][3]
Users create service-specific profiles for the website or app that are designed and maintained by the social media organization.[2][4]
Social media facilitate the development of online social networks by connecting a user's profile with those of other individuals or groups.[2][4]
Oh no, how will he ever live these downvotes down?? His credibility is ruined!!! gb2 reddit.
Because relishing in your vanity and attention with your identity in Twitter is the EXACT SAME THING as Yea Forums right?
Took me like 3 minutes
answer anyone?
twitters has likes and Yea Forums has (you)s, what's your point
>form of social media
Also, you didn't even read the definition I posted. I proved myself wrong because i didn't even read it through. Now, get back to talking about Sekiro.
Just disable it and see if the boss is easier, you idiot.
>in the intro Isshin fights like a normal man with a sword
>when in the actual game he's basically Goku
Which "strongest" skill is actually the strongest?
>Shadowrush to Shadowfall
>Ashina Cross
>High Monk
>Mortal Draw
>Spiral Cloud Passage
>Empowered Mortal Draw
>One Mind
>Dragon Flash
I don't think there has been enough testing done to determine it yet.
strong tie between high monk and shadowrush
Terror is alright since you get a Gourd that works like your regular Gourd except for terror build up.
There's nothing like that for getting your soul sucked out.
I did this in literally a couple minutes. I don't even know what I did. I just ran around on the roofs and stabbed a couple monkeys and it was over.
I feel like there was supposed to be some trick with using all the different building's interiors, but there wasn't, I just back stabbed a couple monkeys and was done lmao
Ashina cross sucks ass. The rest i have no clue about.
Just fucking kill them
