I'm a casual fan of Star Wars really. I enjoyed the original trilogy well enough, prequels were bleh, and haven't watched the new ones. Some of the spinoffs are neat and of varying quality, but I must imagine being a hardcore fan of new Star Wars must be really annoying from what I have heard of it.

I wouldn't call myself a hardcore fan but seeing the sequel trilogy crash and burn is just depressing considering the amount of potential it had. Say what you will about the prequels but you can't deny they had a strong expanded universe with plenty of media other than the movies, whereas the sequel trilogy has next to nothing.
