I'm not the only one who really likes this game.... right?
Dragon Marked for Death

I bought it a week ago but still working on nier automata. Any tips for when I start playing?
It's pretty straightforward. Just kill everything and you should be fine.
I really like it and even imported the special edition, but holy shit I am fucking trash at playing witch. Haven't had to make so many spastic inputs under pressure in a game since playing gta3 with cheat codes.
Yeah, you're the only one, sorry bud
the new bosses are nuts, I wish there were more fights like that in the base game
Is it worth playing as all the characters?
It is good? I like Gunvolt.
Oh yeah, if you liked Gunvolt you'll love this. If Gunvolt is like classic Mega Man this is more like the Zero games. It has the same sort of style and tone, and the same sort of game design.
There's no score attack gameplay, and while there's a character based on Copen, there's nobody that plays quite like GV.
It's still pretty fun.
Gunvolt is also Zero. You're thinking of Mighty Gunvolt.
Wind Empress or Fire Empress?
Beating the game with all four characters is apparently how you unlock the true ending. I certainly intend to. Already got two endings for Empress plus the bandit ending, and almost have her at 60. Bit annoyed that the last two missions now don't unlock until all the dlc quests are cleared since I was just about to beat it with witch, but hey its more content.
Its similar so if you are skilled in Gunvolt some of that will transfer over, but there are a few things about the game that annoy me. The main being that you have to disband the party each time you want to change the mission, and there is no drop in/drop out. Pair that with most players being too impatient to recruit their own parties or wait for yours to fill up, and it can definitely get annoying when you just want to play. Inti has done a lot of patches to fix most issues but these two still persist and probably always will. That said they did add in a new loot system and black market with the dlc quests so maybe it has more updates to come in the future.
Not sure if I should bother getting this game or waiting for a price drop secondhand. I never see any threads about the game anymore, and I don't know if there's even an active online scene since the game depends heavily on it and is hard as balls solo, especially early in.
$50 is still a steep price, even if it includes the DLC.
Most players are at endgame. It's rare to see low level rooms, so you will be soloing the game unless you play during Japan prime time or something. I don't think solo play gets particularly bad until endgame, however.
Its either now or never user. Playing this completely offline sounds miserable, even with the patches that made things more forgiving. The jap players have kept it alive enough for me to have kept playing all this time, but you will search for rooms and you will see none up at times. When this happens I just recruit my own party. I'll usually get someone within 2-5 minutes if not quicker, but depending on the mission or level of my character I wont get anything and have to change characters or missions to get anyone to join. Not sure how much longer the online will last now that the physical copies and dlc are out so I'm not sure what to tell you user, importing two months ago was definitely the best choice, but I'll be playing and recruiting every day until I 100% it because fuck doing it alone.
Eh, I actually find it easier to recruit with my low level characters than my end game ones. At least that's how the last four days have been. I figured its because you cant see rooms for missions you don't have unlocked.
There's a surprising amount of high-quality fanart for this game, yet when I play hardly anyone is online.
I got the game 5 days ago, I play Empress, and am generally just shit at video games, no shit I won't be online
That depresses me to hear user, especially since I was eager at the time to play this, albeit in physical form. Nonetheless, I guess I can order it off Amazon just because of the fast shipping.
Heroes have no time for depression. Only battle. youtube.com
I haven't even touched Blaster Master Zero 2 yet because of this game.
>no couch co op
>game requires online play to even play it on its simplest level
>on a system with the worst online payment setup in all of gaming history
yeah, hell to the fuck no. this game can fucking rot. they were vehement retards for thinking they could make this game without couch co op. It shows they didn't even try to test or play their own game. The single player is mind-mindbogglingly bad.
