absolutely based and comfypilled
T. Boomer, stay assmad
what metric do they use? if you sort by reviews on the store itself you get this
This apparently

>grimm
what the fuck that shit is barely even a game. These stats must be messed up
so basically popular and high reviews instead of just dealing with raw positive percentage
Steam ratings can be misleading because the only ratings are "recommended" and "not recommended".
If everyone agrees that Game A is just barely worth recommending, while 95% of people think Game B is the best game ever but 5% of people hate it, the ratings say Game A is the better game even though most people would say it's not.
see
Right, but the raw data still consists only of people voting "recommended" or "not recommended", so for each individual review, there's no distinguishing between "not bad" and "great", nor is there any distinguishing between "almost good" and "fucking awful". Applying a fancy formula to that extremely coarse data can only do so much.
> No Doom, Deus Ex or New Vegas
Defend this Yea Forums, you faggots said these were the best PC Games
any review system naturally has users aggregate to the extremes, even in a 0-10 system a vast majority of people use only a 0 or a 10, so why not just cut out the middleman?
>why not just make a bad thing worse?
lmao
Also, I don't think "cut out the middleman" is the right expression to use here.
What the fuck is that pig game that I always see on my store page
it is, look at any metacritic or any site with a user rating system for that matter, 95% of all reviews by users are either a 0 or 10, a 0 star or a 5 star
> Witcher 3 that high
When will this fucking meme end? Seriously i will never understand what people like about that piece of shit game
one finger death punch but with a pig
>it is
It is what? The right expression? No, look up what "middleman" means.
>95%
To be fair, you're exaggerating quite a bit. Maybe you've never looked at reviews for a product that isn't highly controversial.
It's a great game, faggot
Damn, I didn't think Mount and Blade would be THAT high on steam
I know it's a damn good game but still
I'm not exaggerating at all, any product that exists has this happen, so it's best to just cut out the middle numbers and have a 0 or 10, a thumbs up or down
shit taste all round.
Never understood the fuss about L4D.
I honestly think its overrated.
I played it with friends a couple of times and it was always boring (yes we played on the hardest difficulty)
Lots of garbage games, damn. The anime visual crowd is easy to please.
There sure is a lot of complete garbage in there.
>a lot of complete garbage
List them pussy
honeslty prety shit taste but at least its better than consolefag taste
Seething
You're really going with the argument that 95% of all reviews are the highest or lowest rating for literally every product that exists? I mean, you do realize that it takes one example to prove you wrong, right? You could just be a reasonable person and say "many products" or even "most products" but instead you had to go with the most easily disprovable argument imaginable.
Pic related.

Reimu in Smash When? She's clearly popular enough at this point to be added
>All that Nekopara
Lmao
Pretty much everything. It's short, the writing is bad and the translation is bad on top of that, the story is weak, the gameplay is terrible, and the graphics are stock RPGmaker assets. The only things it has going for it are being free and having a passable soundtrack.
