The only bad thing about the new podcast is that they seem to go off on the same kind of tangents more often (they spend a good chunk of most episodes talking Persona 3/4/5). Other than that it's as good as Pat/Woolie-only SBFC episodes were.

I remember watching their machinima stuff and their very first LPs. Stuff like RE2 and Chrono Trigger. Good times.

Stopped bothering to keep tabs around the time they did Madworld (I think.) Hearing they finally broke up and disbanded TBFP was kinda like when I heard Toonami died. I stopped caring a long time ago but it just dragged out a lot of nostalgia only for me to remember that it was done. Kinda melancholic honestly. I think the funniest moment they ever had was when Arcana Heart 3 finished downloading right at the start of that one Parasite Eve episode.

Imagine receiving an even larger donation than usual, but the message includes very detailed instructions. The equivalent of a performance evaluation at a real job sprung up on you out of nowhere, and the performance it's testing is making one person thousands of miles away laugh for 30 minutes or so. apparently a tweet went out saying that the Smash episode would be delayed like a day or two before the breakup video, which was recorded separately and edited by Woolie
so it seems that shit went down when they started to record Smash, they went home to cool off, and then Woolie tried and failed to get them to talk it out. Matt likely gave an ultimatum to Woolie, Woolie reluctantly sided with Pat, and they ended it there.
I haven't seen all of their vids or twitter stuff since though, so new info might have come out.

Even as far back as them playing the SFV cinematic story, there was palpable tension over the tiniest misunderstandings. It's sad because it doesn't feel like a bunch of paid-off YT personalities no longer being able to fake it anymore. It's more like a group of close knit ride-or-die high school or college buddies finally leaving school, and after spending all that extra free time together so much, they eventually got tired of one another's shit.
