based and redpilled

If only for the novelty of it, if nothing else.

Half-Life has a really satisfying to use arsenal. I did not expect that at all going in.

The original half life can still be picked up and enjoyed. Love that game.

Absolutely. I've only got around playing it around 2012 after picking it up at a flea market. The game lost a bit of it's luster near the end for me, though.

oh, and speaking of 1998 shooters...

I enjoyed the chameleon plasmid and the crossbow way too much. Setting up a massive web of death and hiding nearby to watch a big daddy die before it understood what was happening was great

The original bio-shock was amazing. The only thing I didn't like about the game was the last boss. Other then that the game was amazing. I loved the shotgun. Just felt so awesome to fire on enemies with it. Chameleon was the best plasmid in the game.

Too lazy to get an image but either the lighter or the dynamite from Blood.

Cortex Command has a lot of great guns but I just love how stupid the RPC is.

Thanks brah.

Always kept a few of these with me.

I've had this game in my library for a while because of Humble Bundle but I've never actually played it. These pictures are pretty intriguing though, is it actually fun?

Fucking love this weapon!

Gross

I've got around 300 hours in it and still find it fun. Grapple fights and ramming are some of the most heart attack inducing exciting gameplay I've had in any non-horror FPS.

Recommend downloading it and giving it a try. The tutorial is a WIP so it's really janky, but if you can power through that, the actual game itself is great.

For me, it's the Wraithverge

Look at those pinatas exploding, I love it
Is it worth playing?

It's cool for the gimmick of a doom engine game with character classes

The level and enemy design can be annoying

Man I remember putting so much time into this game. I miss tribes.

Attached: HCE_Render_SRS99CSniperRifle.png (800x259, 54K)

It's essentially a dungeon crawler without leveling mechanics.
Expect, labyrinths, hidden switches that are mandatory to progress, traps within traps, etc.
It's goddamn stylish though.
Also, mage's first weapon is broken, and 95% of both the main game and the addon could be facerolled with it on the last difficulty, provided you are willing to take things at a somewhat slower pace. Played that way, the game becomes pretty much an action-ADVENTURE with the emphasis put purely on labyrinth and its traps, and with monsters serving purely as parts of those traps.

>Ctrl+F Wraithverge
>Its posted!

What's the name?

Hexen you pleb. Go play it.

Thanks anons, I played a game called Ziggurat which I was told was heavily inspired by Hexen

I will. Looks cool.

Snarks were so cool. I rememeber being able to team kill with them in Sven co-op. You had to like throw them in the air and then catch them and it would give you infinite and if you threw enough on someone they would gib. Was a lot of fun.
