beat him 20 minutes ago. 10/10 final boss.
Mikiri counter
that's just insanely lucky rng
no, you can get him to do that very consistently. You just have to do one r1, let him respond, then do another r1 and he gets in a loop. Only works on his first phase though.
t. beaten SS on 5 playthroughs now
So what was his plan?
reminds me of orphan of kos
save ashina with no survivors
I just want to say him much of a fucking badass this character is.
The whole game you've been hearing about how he perfected swordfighting and invented the Ashina school of combat.
When you finally fight him, you can see traces of basically all other movesets in his moveset.
He uses the Divine Dragon's winds, Tomoe's lightning, all of the Ashina attacks, uses a spear, and shoots you with a gun.
One thing I noticed at the Fountainhead was that the Dragon/lizard Samurais' movesets closely resemble that of Genichiro's, with the large bow and the jumping around. Isshin must have been there before, observed how they fight, and passed it down.
He must have even faced the fucking Divine Dragon, or something very similar to it, at least once, due to their similar wind attacks.
What an absolute beast of a guy. I hope we learn more about his travels.
>mfw all the shit he pulls during the 2nd phase
>try to create distance
>click clack
Genichiro does the same.
He tries to jump away or use his bow, but just delaying your next attack for the shortest while and THEN attacking makes him stuck in a withdrawal phase, where he's constantly trying to get away, but can't.
The DLC is likely set in the past, considering bells let you travel to past memories. That would probably be the easiest way to add new areas to the game.
No it's not, I saved 60 bucks + the cost of a ps4 pro watching some guy do it handily.
I hope so too. Wolf lost like 3 years of his life, right? There's a lot to work with.
At the same time, I think it'd be more interesting if he went into someone else's memories, and followed in their footsteps. Wolf doesn't have any memories of Tomoe, but Genichiro does, and I think it'd be a waste to namedrop someone so much and then don't do anything with it. Also, more Genichiro would be very nice.
I'm imagining Sekiro literally taking on the role of Genichiro and doing what he did to get to where he is in the story. I think that'd be great, actually. Or going into Isshin's mind.
There's just so much potential.
>see a post on here saying if you dont heal he only has one phase
>beat genichiro and isshun no damage
>it was a lie
fuck you user
Is Tomoe the dead girl in front of the place where you pray to go to the Divine Realm? I kept expecting a fight with her but she never showed up.
Goteeeeem
We can't know yet. I'd expect Tomoe to be MUCH older than Genichiro, and I got the impression that she was an old and wise master that, at the time of Sekiro, has simply passed away.
Miyazaki maybe just likes imagery with tired, slumped over girls. See: The Ringed City.
Did you also try finding Mew under the truck?
unironically why the fuck wouldn't you?
Does that girl have long hair with a bun? Tomoe is depicted as such in the lightning reversal painting/drawing before the Genichiro fight
I think she had her hair down.
>perfected sword fighting
>uses a gun and a spear for the majority of the fight
Because it why the fuck a rare pokémon be under a truck of all places
i cant beat the spear phase
>having a sword fight with some skilled dude
>fag keeps running away to suck on a bottle
id shoot him too
On a related note, are there any enemies that sudoku at the end of the fight if you never get hit like that one boss in DS2?
He was tough but my biggest roadblock was Owl
>tfw you start getting so tilted that you start losing to genichiro
What's the lore on why the big fat guys are so ugly
