Has anyone watched those theater shows they put on years ago? I watched quite a few that were uploaded to niconico, and they were really fun stories. Sumire's and Reni's seiyuu were the best.

They're good. A clear inspiration to the new generation of 2.5d stage shows. It'll be tough with how much work the new cast already gets, but I hope we get at least a few with them.

Japanese as a "skill" is equivalent to a chore, really. If you can muster up the energy to prepare food for yourself, take a shower, or clean your room, you too can learn Japanese.

It very quickly becomes a very minor chore, with the vast majority of what you could consider "study time" actually just being leisure with occasional pauses to look up a word.

I honestly don't think you learned the language, I think you got frustrated and quit very early on at best. Because people don't "grow out" of Japanese media, just like people don't "grow out" of movies, or games. You might grow out of certain aspects, I used to love Pokemon as a child, but unless late night anime takes a nosedive in quality, I can't see myself quitting it anytime soon.
