Sekiro

Is the game really too hard? Are journalists that complained about it right?

Pick one.

Shanalotte > emma > Doll > MiB > Firekeeper > Anastacia

what will it take for these dumb bastards to understand that you're supposed to die in these games, that it's not something to get mad about but something to learn from? it's right in the goddamn title this time and people still don't get it.

Attached: 1541015482976.jpg (245x204, 13K)

MiB > Doll >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> others

The Dragonrot thing is kind wierd, tho. If you're suppose to die a bunch, why do they punish you for it beyond losing money/skill points?

it's from software, they do weird shit and see what sticks
at least it's not world tendency
fucking casuals don't know about the real, actual hell that is pure black 5-2

>speedrunner autists throwing autistic fits
Big surprise.

Yes sekiro is hard.

Only durring main boss fights you are unable to GTFO after 1st death. And if you don't get the loading screen dragonrot doesn't progress and you don't lose xp or sen.

Dragonrot is not much of a punishment. All it does is stop NPC quests from progressing until you cure it. They don't die off or lock you out of anything, they are just put on hold. Hell you can even still use their services while they're sick. Hardly any of them even have meaningful quests to progress through anyway.

Game journos don't play games and don't know how to play games.

Did this fuck seriously die to the Divine Dragon?

Imagine dying to divine dragon lmao

have sex

what the fuck

You've all done this, don't fucking lie to me.

it's so nerfed in the game it hardly matters. they shower you with dragon tears to cure it.

Is dragon rot like a 3 strike rule kind of thing? I've died twice to ogre but all of my NPC's are more or less fine.

Is this game reliant on pure skill or do you need to have certain items/abilities bought to be able to beat specific bosses?

I got killed by the divine dragon because it would hit wolf in mid air right after wolf catches lighting and it ohko him after landing because he didn't have enough health and by that point I never even had to reflect lighting before so I didn't know how it worked. I never got buttfucked by its flurry spam, that's just pathetic. The other guy ragequit to the fucking Shinobi hunter, and that's at the very start of the game too. It isn't even hard to fight.

You should get dragon rot if you revive with the resurrection power not the normal resurrection.

I've never broken something or quit a game out of salt like that

I beat the game somehow, but NG+ is just too much of a dick kicking for me

For reference I bought DeS back when it was an Asia exclusive in 2009

the other ones are forgettable compared to those 2 though

Kuro is a boy. Stop pushing your hetero fantasies on to him.

What does Kuro's charm even do in NG+, by the way? What does the "extra hardship" even mean?

thats what she said ahahahahaaa

>smashed my own property like a manchild because I lost in a game
if you have actually done this seek help. at worst i just alt+f4 the game and stop playing it for a while.

>dragonrot
Who gives a fuck when every merchant sells the cure

are you having a stroke user?

>clips.twitch.tv/HilariousCarelessToadFeelsBadMan
>i was blocking
no, sweetie, you were jumping, and not even holding block in the air
>clips.twitch.tv/NastyArtsyPepperoniBIRB
>doesn't backstab the guy first
what are all these scrubsyou're linking me to?

It'll help a lot to have certain items and skills against some opponents, but there are others where you just have to bite the bullet and learn their moves and patterns instead of taking any easy way out.

Kuro >*

I don't know why you're trying to make a big issue about "journalists" talking shit about it.

When this article came out:

forbes.com/sites/davidthier/2019/03/28/sekiro-shadows-dies-twice-needs-to-respect-its-players-and-add-an-easy-mode/#6ba48f316393

Those "journalists" that you said that are complaining about it, were the ones who said to that guy to get good. You can see him link a Twitter thread about it there in his article. Basically it's one "journalist" being laughed at by other "journalists".

Most that I've read from other "journalists" are that they learned that they should stop treating Sekiro as a Soulsborne game and that's when it clicked for them and started loving it.

Actually Yea Forums is complaining more than them from what I've seen.

sauce

you'll beat anything just by learning their move set

>deflect and punish this
>jump over this
>avoid this

its really telling that people cant even handle that much

"Too hard" for your average game journalist can mean anything

Attached: game jurnos.webm (854x480, 2.95M)

>i'm literally blocking
It's a perilous wind sweep you god damned inbred retard, holy shit. They can't be blocked. How stupid are these people?

you can always just quit the game via the menu and get back to the bonfire during bosses

>I never even had to reflect lighting before so I didn't know how it worked
LITERALLY THE ONE MECHANIC GENICHIRO HAS
LITERALLY WRITTEN ON A WALL SCROLL FIVE STEPS BEFORE HIS FIGHT

are you a dumb bitch? your resurrection power comes from the people you kill so nobody living is gonna get sick dumb ass fuck whore

He got hit by the vertical slices and they are blockable.

People need to stop playing Sekiro like its Souls. Run in and spam attacks, that's how you win. You need to be aggressive and not play it safe.

wtf are you telling me i have to explore?

no sweetie i play on ps4 and i'm only in it for the next AAA experience, i don't DO exploration, okay honey? NEXT

Alright nice, I prefer that over being stuck because I didn't buy the right skill/item

Hukiguni666

>People need to stop playing Sekiro like its Souls. Run in and spam attacks, that's how you win. You need to be aggressive and not play it safe.
Some of the later bosses are still much harder than anything in Souls.

You can parry almost any attack in the game that doesn't have a red indicator. Exceptions are things with additional effects and Genichiro's donut steel back alley knockoff mortal blade when it has the dark souls humanity effect stuck to it

>LITERALLY THE ONE MECHANIC GENICHIRO HAS
Yes, and I never had to do it until the Divine Dragon fight
>LITERALLY WRITTEN ON A WALL SCROLL FIVE STEPS BEFORE HIS FIGHT
I know, and Like I said I never actually had to do it. The game implies that you have to have Wolf Jump and block but apparently that isn't the case, just jump then get hit and attack, but it doesn't really matter because like I said I never actually had to do it in the game until the Divine Dragon. Genichiro never used his lightning attacks on me during my first playthrough. And my issue isn't actually knowing how it funcions, since the game obviously tells you. I would have wolf gather the lightning but then the dragon did a quick swipe at him which would know him to the ground and insta kill him. Maybe you need to learn how to read, sperg.

>Draw a girl
>call it a boy

some of the skill upgrades are very essential though, like mikiri counter will make your life much easier

Anything that isn't a perilous sweep or a grab can be parried, not blocked. No perilous attacks can be blocked.

usually i agree but kuro is pretty androgenous looking desu

>The game implies that you have to have Wolf Jump and block
The scroll tells you to absorb the lightning in mid-air, not block it. It's even fucking spelled out in the name - Reversal.
You take the force of the blow and return to sender.
I don't even like this fucking game and I think you're a retard.

>on a wall scroll
>tool tip pop up during genichiro
>shows up on the loading screen

No excuse for these idiots.

What I mean is you can block those exceptions but you're gonna take chip damage, and some of them deal a lot more than others.

Yes, it's total cancer
Fuck miyazaki fucking shrimp dicked retarded faggot
Full of bullshit hitboxes etc, I'm back to BB I guess fromsoft got lucky 2 times and that's all
Fuck these fucking retards

Nigger, are you dumb? I never said I never understood the mechanics behind the reversal, I said I never had to do it until the dragon fight and even explained how it ended getting him killed. Why is this making you so angry?

post about it

very nice

Perilous attacks cannot be blocked at all, they can only be parried or avoided.

People are misinterpreting the difficulty discourse as journalists when in reality it's about onions guzzling casuals on twitter and other boards that spout this because their brains freak out at the thought of a game without a difficulty slider

ashina reservoir or ashina castle, where to go after blazing bull?

You
>I never said I never understood the mechanics
Also you
>The game implies that you have to have Wolf Jump and block but apparently that isn't the case

How can you be this bad at these games? By just running to the side you dodge all of the Dragon's attacks apart from the one you have to jump. Fucking hell

Attached: 1524265345244.png (413x396, 164K)

I didn't say you can block perilous attacks you fuckwit, learn to read

More snipets of speedrun spergs and shitters getting triggered please, i find it immensely amusing how these people are supposed to be the same species as me.

>throwing tantrums so hard you break shit

What the fuck is this meme? Are these 1/%ers that never had to value anything in their life? How can you physically get so mad at a video game that you literally chimp out? I once sat on a DS3 by accident and i am still upset about it to this day.

Attached: butt.jpg (3840x2160, 1.23M)

>zoomers crying about a game being hard
Yep, expected this to happen.

not after fking 12

It's the best thing from both worlds. You get the delicious taboo of the trap but with feminine features. If you jack off to boys that look like boys then you're actually gay instead of faps to traps ''gay''.

Doll > MiB > Fire Keeper > Emma > Shanalotte

No as someone who just got past the first part I would say if anything experienced dark souls players would be let down by the difficulty

Aw poor little zoomer throwing a tantrum.

>What I mean is you can block those exceptions
You cannot block perilous attacks you ESL retard. I don't know what you're talking about because I'm specifically talking about the perilous attacks and nothing else and this is what you replied to me about.

I don't think it even kills npcs. It just makes it so you can't continue their side quests until you use a cure which there are plenty of

And I was.

It's not a bad or 'easy' game, but it is more accessible.

>ignoring that you don't have to read the scroll
>ignoring how I said I never had to ever actually use lightning reversal until the dragon fight because I got lucky and Genichiro never used it on me to despite reading the scroll I never actually had practice doing it
>ignoring how blocking incoming damage is a key aspect to the game so assuming that blocking the lightning might be the first step to reversal if you never actually had to do it
>completely ignores the part where I said the only reason Wolf died is because he got hit int he air and immediately falls to the ground and died because of shock status
You might actually be an autist. I hope you're aware of this.

Dragonrot makes sense lore wise but the actual mechanic is pointless. Literally added to scare people into not dying.

game literally throws dragon blood droplets at you though

Explore the reservoir and then go to Ashina castle. That's what I did at least.
Ashina Castle is the route to progress

Attached: 1534967408983.jpg (628x1024, 117K)

Not him but if that's the case then they should've made it so that you don't have any resurrection power when you respawn from an idol

Shanalotte > Doll > Firekeeper > Emma > Anastacia
I haven't played DeS yet

that much comes from having your dragons blood/health itsself restored from resting

No matter how many times I see this it still bothers me.

I haven't played Sekiro yet, but for that second clip, didn't the enemy parry his attacks and then counter attacked?

>Rape ape round 2
>Break his waifu's posture
>Get killed before I can deathblow her
This has happened three times in a row now and I want to die.

Attached: 1421471150619.jpg (840x700, 154K)

Yeah. If you hit some enemies too many times when they are blocking they will eventually deflect your attack and go on the offensive. Just before the killing blow I'm pretty sure the guy could have blocked or dodged to the side. If he had a certain skill he could have dodged towards the enemy and countered the guy.

Where is the emerald herald and why is she not #1? Does she have another name.

His waifu is long dead, it's just some random ass monkey

The second ape encounter? Just focus on the actual boss, the other one fucks off if you kill them.

just ignore his waifu pop some confetti and try and kill the headless ape, makes the fight so much easier

Shanalotte is the Emerald Herald. She tells you her name at the end of the game.

Attached: Sweater Shanalotte.jpg (500x550, 101K)

Yes. Not even a punishment that he couldn't have avoided, he tried to block despite the big neon red sign meaning "you can't block this attack" flashing well in advance.

>pop some confetti
Does that really help? I never used it in round 1.

>Is the game really too hard? Are journalists that complained about it right?
It is because the framerate is fucked and the lag makes it miss your inputs. Borderline unplayable, otherwise it'd be decently challenging but still not actually hard

Attached: REEEEEEEEEEEEE.jpg (688x720, 66K)

>he died to a spear charge
OH NONONONO

it increases damage on all corrupted enemies yeah, pop some sugar too and you'll shred through his health

The enemy counter is not guaranteed or anything, it can be blocked and neither was the attack that killed him, he could have dodged, parried or even easier must press a button to do a counter skill of his own with tons of active frames. If you couldn't tell by the chimp out the guy is a fucking mong.

Attached: WOOOOOOOOOOOW.webm (720x480, 2.72M)

You're both gays you homofag

>BEARER SEEK SEEK LEST
>above anyone

Emerald Herald is called Shanalotte. If you really liked her you would've known.

I enjoy Emma's japanese voice acting and the fact that she's not that mystical but rather a down to earth daughter of a doctor and that's why she's there but we can't see her bare feetsies soooo yeah. On the lewd thoughts metric she ranks rather low for me but as a character I like her a lot.

Attached: 1551958457097.jpg (819x1024, 136K)

For the most part you don't need items, but they help a lot. Except for some enemy I think you need to have some item to fight to my knowledge.

There are two kinds of difficulty. Difficulty that forced the player to improve, and is immensely rewarding. Difficulty that is stupidly hard and exists to pad the game out.

Sekiro falls in the latter.

>experienced dark souls players would be let down by the difficulty
Bullshit.
90% of the people bitching about the difficulty played every dark souls.

>First clip
>I WAS BLOCKING WHAT THE FUH DUDE I WAS BLOCKING
You call yourself a speedrunner and die to the one of the easiest bosses?
>second clip
Dude just sounds like a tranny. I thought it was Cosmo before I looked at the channel name. Obviously suffers from mental illness. Discarded.

Lol
Git gud

It isn't too hard. It's only too hard for people that have gone through souls games with co-op, but still think these types of games are made for them

Really depends on the boss.

Fucking this Jesus Christ
How can anyone like any of the others, especially that bland bitch face Emma.

It would be much better if you could just immediately restart at bosses instead of having to walk all the way back

>successfully block Isshin
>he's opened up for an attack
>hit him
>he stumbles
>hit him again
>he starts an animation
>before my attack recovery ends he's already hit and killed me

Not him, but I like her a lot.
At the very least, she's better than Anastacia

Attached: Unimpressed.jpg (1200x675, 266K)

>Ever getting that mad at video games
These people should stop playing "hardcore" games.

just another DaS2 REEEEEEEEEEEEEE sperg.

Literally the only actual waifu material in the souls series, everything else is forced. Good taste user.

But you literally can

Only fat fuck basement dwelling incels enjoy this game

>Difficulty that forced the player to improve, and is immensely rewarding
But that is what I felt with the Lady Butterfly boss though. it was really satisfying to go all out ham and wreck her.

What's in your opinion a boss in Sekiro that can't be beaten through skill alone?

I wouldn't say she's the only one. Quelana is another very good girl.

Attached: Hot teacher.png (800x640, 649K)

>that faggot weeb crying about the early game miniboss
lmao

>that inferiority complex
lmao.

Dist is always salty af though.

For me it was Hate Demon's charge
It was so counterintuitive that you are supposed to jump over it, it was ez after I found out.

Don't be greedy.
As long as the enemy attack or you attack him the posture doesn't recover.

Fuck you das2tard. Maiden in Black is the one for me

the game is just so boring that nobody wants to even play through it

I died 30-40 times on specific bosses in NG. NG+ was pretty easy in comparison with less than 3 deaths on everything besides the new bosses from the shura ending. What are you struggling with exactly?

FUCK YOU
You beat me to it
Fpbp

you are suppose to use mikkiri counter with that boss making the fight easy as fuck

If you actually like excessively hard games you are a neckbeard. games are meant to be fun

>challenge cant be fun

just play something else

I like how much of a normal person Emma seems to be. She's practically the most human out of any of the souls characters in general, and is the one I would want to hang out with the most in real life.
Shanalotte still best girl though.

Good think that doesn't apply to DS or Sekiro then

that nigger in the second one sounds like he's about to cry

No idea, but in my experience it makes the game a shit ton harder. I smoked NG+2 no problem with it, but I’m starting to struggle NG+3 without it.

The damage still seems manageable, but it feels like I’m doing way less posture damage and receiving so much more. Also it seems like attacks do more chip damage through blocks butI could be wrong.

The game is extremely hard. I don't get why people deny this. It is intentionally a hard game. You're supposed to feel that it's difficult.

Her dad is that doctor though

Ignoring all the shitposting I've seen about this game on Yea Forums, is it actually decent and worth a try?

? you have better tools at your disposal and it's all the same fights you've done already. just be a bit more patient for posture breaks and you're gold

After 50 deaths, finally beat Genichiro, by breaking posture. I am a different man than I was before.

Attached: big_1500455394_image.jpg (1280x720, 137K)

just because a game is difficult doesn't mean it's hard all these fags are used to summoning for boss fights or watching guides or mashing buttons

Was about to type literally this word for word.

fps on console
professional halo players aren't much better desu

>Dude sounds like a tranny
Normally I'd say you're paranoid but I actually know them and they in fact are transgender. Although they've also said that they don't like identity politics or making a fuss over pronouns so in my opinion they're cool. And a friendly/decent person in general although that tantrum was not really very becoming of them.

I have literally never raged in a game (disappointed or sad, yes) but I have never thrown a fit like a toddler and anyone who does has severe anger issues.

I would say it's all the former. Name an example of latter.

Owl, but he kicked my ass back in NG too. I know the fight but I just always make one little slip up. Same story with the final boss. I realise I have to fight an even harder version of him in the ending I'm doing and just don't know if I can take it really.

If you can't beat this game then you're officially worse than someone who has no thumbs and who can barely move his fingers and you might be eligible to apply for disability bux

I hope that faggot in the 2nd clip dies off. I hate faggots that suck ass at games and fucking frog weebfags.

Maiden in Black > Doll > Firekeeper > Emerald Herald > Emma

I liked Sekiro but Emma is shit.

Does exorcising strike do more damage to ghosts or demons enemies? Can you fight an actual Tengu anywhere?

you don't even need to die that second time
you can run away from every single miniboss and homeward idol is FREE

This game is anti fun

What's wrong with her?

is this guy retarded? How is he at the divine dragon and doesnt know that you can't block those attacks that have a white trace on them?
holy shit
HOW DO YOU EVEN DIE TO THE DIVINE DRAGON ON A SECOND PLAYTHROUGH
LOL

She's a nothing. No personality, just very bland.

it's not too "hard", it's tedious.

one mistake and you die. resurrection gives you 50% hp. one hit, you die again.

you spend 2-5 minutes doing nonstop R1 or L1 parries, that's it. every single boss is the same idea.

at least souls/bloodborne bosses have variety. name ONE creative fight in Sekiro. Monkeys are a joke, Dragon is a joke.

your taste is shit

emma is boring

just "ara ara" shit.

>at least souls/bloodborne bosses have variety.
>you literally spam the dodge button through every boss in the series
made me think

It should checkpoint at bosses

Distortion2 is one of the most skilled speedrunners in Soulsborne and holds records for a bunch of other games too. He's also an unfunny cunt with a personality drier than sandpaper.

>tfw literally know the 2nd clip guy
They're not a bad person although admittedly that clip wasn't their best moment.

Attached: 1515718271825.png (299x368, 79K)

If you spam attack at an enemy their weapon will flash orange and immediately punish you unless you deflect the blow. This is to prevent shitters from making fights trivial.

Spear enemies are meant to be beaten with the Mikiri counter, which is a vital skill you pick up early on. If he simply pressed forward and jump then he wouldn't be sperging out.

Guardian Ape
Schischimen Warrior

Demon

>clips.twitch.tv/NastyArtsyPepperoniBIRB

>Manbaby shitter getting triggered and breaking controller
pathetic

journalists are lower lifeforms then worms that feast on cow shit

Definite no for the second one.

Ds2 with the endless ambushes with no logic put into them. Sekiro.

if you replace parries with rolling, that's soulsbourne

>They
kys trannylover

>I was blocking

Yes and it does chip damage unless you deflect. How is this dude speed running

The other anons who replied to you are retarded, namely this fag saying he tried to block.
What happened was that he was spamming the attack button, the enemy deflected it (anti-shitter counter measure), but because he was spamming the button he immediately attacked after he got deflected instead of doding/countering the enemy's attack himself, which killed him.

Miyazaki has somehow managed to continually make his games tougher and tougher with each iteration. I don't know how the mad man plans to keep doing this, but there will be a point where only %1 of the gaming population will be able to beat these games.
The final section of the game is the toughest stretch of bosses I've ever fought.
The miniboss, Seven Spears at the end of the game is tougher than every single souls boss barring KOSM. The final boss is the toughest boss in the series. Demon of Hatred, is a pure firebrand only having a few signature moves to avoid that he is only slightly easier than KOSM.

my issue with the game is 99% of the time you are parry spamming humanoids or whatever. (or apes)

you literally beat the ape by parrying a big hit, staggering him.

Are you retarded? You totally can.

Good. Beating these games are the only thing that will satisfy my Gamer's pride.

HUUR DUR MAJKE YOU REPEAR FIRST PHASE OF BOSS KPOJIHOUGIVUCFYXKRID75O IRYI7F6UYKGC7ITUFVG

How do I beat this faggot?

Attached: 20190330_194233.jpg (1580x1544, 1.49M)

You can't, you'll take damage from all of them.

Demon of Hatred is only a hard fight because it doesn't belong in Sekiro. It's a Souls fight poorly implemented. Fucking ignores every mechanic in Sekiro.

no its unironically the easiest soulsborne game atleast from what I played. deflect window is so forgiving and makes every encounter piss easy when you get it down
outside of demon of hatred

Why did she have an western name?

FYI

This guy is a trigged Bloodbourne fanboy and legit shitter, don't give him (You)s.

Double parry in quick succession when you see the flash on his sword.

>wait for his sword to flash
>parry twice
>rinse and repeat
>easiest fight of your life
he only has two moves too, and he repeats the double vertical slash 90% of the time.
it's literally a parry check for the upcoming encounter.

>They're not a bad person

>frog emotes
>anime emotes
>name is FUCKING Serenity
>puts anime as a hobby
>uwu

Even with the clip out of mind. This person is human dog shit.

Honestly the hardest part about the spear dude at the end is the fire around you. You can deflect/mikiri everything like you should and eventually it knocks you back into the fire and you have to reposition or die.

its extremely boring when you die and have to go through a load screen and walk all the way back to the boss. it should just restart you at the boss immediately

>i'm triggered because I didn't enjoy it as much as bloodborne

yep, tell me what else I like user.

that's what everyone said you stupid fucking cunt

How did we get to the point where literal retards are the credible voice on rating videogames?

Is there unique dialogue if you haven't died when you talk to Kuro in Ashina Castle?

thanks for your valuable input dipshit

Wow it's almost like parrying lowers their posture, which is the biggest mechanic in the game.

Attached: ohhh.gif (288x288, 1.88M)

Thanks

You literally can parry them and take no damage

Handing over kuros charm makes you take damage when you imperfect parrys.

Idk if my controller was broken but you can double perry. I beat him by dodging left, slashing at him and when he sweeps attack hit jump twice and destroy his posture.

playing doom on google stadia.webm

the core gameplay loop is shallow.

you just sit there. and L1 every attack. over and over.

Not sure why some people think parrying / deflecting is a gimmick compared to rolling and i-frames.

Flash white > tap l1 twice

repeat

Guardian Ape is one of the best Souls fights, you faggot.

Yes, the absolute madman, he's already up to basic action game concepts, there's no telling where things can go from here :O

Is this another game where controls don't work if you don't use a controller?

wow, notice how no one is talking about deflecting. cool post user.

this is the most frustrating game I've ever played. i don't hate it though.

>you just roll and R1
>over
>and
>over

>12 fucking scales for a piece of the mask
Is this thing worth it? What does it even do? I think I only have 1 piece left. I can also buy 2 lapiz lazuli with it but I still can't use them because I don't have fucking mercury.

Attached: 1551620907748.png (270x270, 156K)

because in dark souls you have fights with lots of shit going on, and movement

in sekiro you PARK IN FRONT OF THE BOSS just to parry spam (the best tactic to win).

fuck the ape and his infinite range grab.

I know you from the last thread fagboy, get lost.

I died twice. I thought i had to avoid the lightning tree and kept trying to get towards him. Eventually he'd do the corkscrew sort slash and would kill me.

Give it to me straight. Is the combat FUN?

>in sekiro you PARK IN FRONT OF THE BOSS just to parry spam (the best tactic to win).
I never played the game: The Post

Bonfire > Doll > Shanalotte > Firekeeper > MiB > Emma

That second one made me audibly fucking kek

How is the framerate on ps4? Really want to buy it but I'm worried from all the comments about it

After you kill the snake there's that ledge up above the lake that you land on, how do you get back there? I was fucking around and fell into the lake and didn't explore it.

Did you see someone else post this and mistake it for a frog post tier meme reply that can apply to everything? You're even dumber than before.

This exact same situationhappened with DaS.

>in sekiro you PARK IN FRONT OF THE BOSS just to parry spam (the best tactic to win).
have you even touched the game at all?

no, it is LITERALLY the best way to win.

if you dodge stuff: posture bar shrinks (dodging does nothing)

if you are not parrying: posture bar shrinks.

the best way to win is to parry every attack, along with spamming R1 when possible.

Is there any explanation as to why Emma is white?

there twitter bio also helps to confirm he's a faggot

you can never tell if people pay attention to terminology in these threads. Just making sure.

this, I want to buy this or DMC5

Let's you convert 5 action points into attack power.

getting a job almost anywhere that doesn't have an accreditation board (doctor, lawyer, etc.) is literally just a matter of having any bachelor's degree from any non-community college, and knowing someone willing to refer you

you already got BTFO'd in the other thread my man, it's time to accept that you're a retard and move on

>trannylover
I don't love or hate trannies. Nor do I consider them real women BUT I do respect people if they earn it. Usually by being a decent person and respecting others. I don't feel comfortable with calling someone with an obvious male voice or appearance ''she/her'' so I use a more neutral ''they'' instead.

>How is this dude speedrunning?
Through autistic repetition until the actions you're undertaking for the run have been burned into your muscle memory. When speedrunners play a new game, normally they're they're not much better than you or me would be when playing.

sekiro is focused on swordfighting clashes. dmc isnt
just pick whatever you prefer.

nevermind the fact that you're wrong, but meanwhile in dark souls
>the best way to win is dodge every attack, then spam R1 when possible

Yes, and dodge and hit in DS is shallow as well?
I think what most people are missing about this game is it doesnt have as much RPG mechanics as the other Souls games. Sure, it shares the same DNA, even down to certain mechanics, but if you went in expecting the full Souls treatment youre in for a bad time.
Point is, at the end of the day, you can say the loop in Souls is just a tad more interesting because of the variety of builds you can do, but its still dodge and hit for the most part. If that core gameplay loop isnt shallow as well i dont know what to tell you.

Want to know how I can tell you're from reddit?

DMC5 is decent, Sekiro is an absolute masterpice that will be remembered fondly in the gaming history.

btfo how? it's literally how to play the game. the entire goal is to max the posture bar for a deathblow. the BEST way to do this is to spam R1 and parry everything otherwise. standing in front of the boss is where you want to be, so you parry every single hit. (to build posture)

dodging is the absolute worst thing to do in a fight in this game. ONLY dodge sweeps (unblockable)

I think a lot of people fail to realize that if you press/hold the block button before you get up, it will just ignore it.

Am I a scrub because Ashina Castle is killing me? More than one tengu, more than one nigga in the blue kimono, they just kick my dick in. Then fucking Genichiro at the top, honestly he was probably easier than the area.

why does this game not respect my time?

>it's this fucking autist
jesus christ get a fucking life

yes, very much so. I prefer it to DMC, I'm not huge on memorizing combo chains or chaining SS ranks on braindead AI.

Am I the only one who finds Emma attractive instead of the little boy?

>"serenity"

Sekiro is like a Soul game in a lot of ways but with more focused and intense combat, DMC5 is like DMC4's gameplay but improved and in a real game. Decide for yourselves based on that, because "fun" is obviously pretty subjective.

based

I unironically enjoyed Nioh more, although Nioh would be better with a parry mechanic like this. BUT fights depended more on evasion, not parry spam, which made them more enjoyable IMO.

Can someone help me, emma has not given me any new conversations. She is stuck in the whole "we had dragonroot a lobg time ago" thing.

also you can just pirate it to try it. no need to blindly spend 60€
you can pirate dmc too.

it does
most of the difficult parts are less than 10 seconds away from an idol, where you will respawn everytime you fuck up

You can cancel your attacks with blocks.

to be fair, this looks like playing doom with a gamepad for the first time

Is this the trick to this fight? I just started spamming it as soon as I saw that it worked.

Attached: nothing personnel lady butterfly.webm (852x480, 2.95M)

I'm really not that great at games and I beat it, so no

Souls combat was just as if not more shallow than Sekiro's, at this point I'm certain that the only reason you're so far in denial is because Sekiro was too frustrating for you. There's really no other good explanation I can think of.

This better make it into the DLC then. How can you not have that

the game literally tells you to roll like a faggot just before the fight, so yeah.

If you like DMC, buy DMCV.
If you like FromSoft, buy Sekiro.
Whichever you like more, buy first.

Yeah, the apparition-type enemies, who have a purple aura around them, need the holy confetti iteam or whatever it's called to even be able to deal any significant damage to them, but they are the only only exception

it's the trick to the rest of the game, don't be a bitch and constantly stay aggressive

My problem is the kanji makes me panic, I essentially do a wrong move the millisecond it appear, making me eat the attack a full second later. I guarantee I would handle the bosses better if that shit didn't exist

Anyone have tips for beating Orin?

>tfw accidentally used my snap seed

boss fights are long and tedious. ape being one of the better examples, isshin being another. if you fuck up one parry, guess wrong on the unblockable attacks, you die.

I would rather have stats you can level, equipment you can level, rather than damage sponge bosses that take 900 hits to kill (or parries).

>i skipped ahead of like 80 financial reps who knew more about the industry than me by miles and would've killed for my job just by knowing a guy who used to work for a company
How old are you, out of curiousity?

how do i progress in the temple area after talking to the monk? i went through the centipede cave and got the text but couldnt find any other way forward.
should i go back and ring the bell?

Attached: 1362106583708.gif (326x250, 626K)

you mean playing your first console game and it's an fps

Ape and Isshin are short as fuck if you're not an absolute shitter and break posture consistently.
>I would rather be able to grind and bloat my stats to cruise through on easy mode
LOL

Where do I find lumps of wax?

Ah, so you finally admit it. Not just that the fights were to frustrating for you but also that you're a grinding faggot who refuses to actually learn how to play games. Glad we got that settled so I can never bother reading your posts again.

>Directly linking twitch channels
>200 replies
Do your fucking job mods.

ape is very quick
1st phase is free hits
2nd phase you just expose the centipede for massive posture and damage some 3 times and he's dead.

saying isshin is tedious must be a joke or something.
>guess wrong on the unblockable
thankfully you don't have to guess, since the pretty long startup animation tells you all you need to know about what kind of attack is coming

better version

Attached: journalists.webm (640x360, 2.32M)

still haven't finished the the game, just killed guardian ape, can i lock myself out of content depending on what ending i stumble myself into?
in bloodborne you could lock yourself out of the moon presence for example

They punish button spam fairly hard, just calm your tits and respond accordingly whenever you see it

Neither does anyone here.

>do isshin first part in 30 seconds cause memorized all attacks

>next phase

>mikiri into spear thrust

>doesnt give mikiri, die

I will never bitch about dark souls 2 again.

Why didn't it fly?

Well , I platinumed goldeneye back when I was a kid but I can 100% guarantee you this is how I would look like playing doom for the first time on a gamepad.

have you freed Lord Kuro?

depending on what choice you make in an upcoming encounter (it'll be pretty obvious), you can lock yourself out of the final area and a boss, but you'll get to see an exclusive version of a boss + an exclusive boss to that ending.

What? The boss fights are supposed to be short, the game is actually harder if you play like a bitch and try to wait shit out like you did in soulsbourne

however, if you're on PC, I'd recommend backing up your save, because people don't like "early endings" and can feel very cheated by them.

>that one getting filtered by chained ogre

most birds can't fly distances that short. it would have faceplanted on the wall

To each his own. But still, the only reasons Souls and Nioh is better to you is because of its RPG elements. You can make the case where you would rather dodge and hit, but that would be just as shallow as deflect and hit. Not ragging on your tastes, as that is subjective, but calling Sekiro’s loop shallow is pot calling the kettle black. It just so happens that Souls and Nioh can hide it better under so many RPG elements.

How do I beat this boss that ruins all my fights indoors by making me 100% blind?

Attached: 2016_Minolta_Dynax_404si.jpg (1200x952, 160K)

every single boss is just parry spam, parry spam, r1

>but in souls it's just roll + r1

yeah but in dark souls at least there is more to a boss than STAND THERE AND L1

yes, just stand in front of Ornstein in the middle and spam R1, see how successful that is.

>weeaboo autist rage so hards he breaks his controller and starts crying, while calling the game bad

its extremely annoying fighting lighting guy and having to redo the first stage. its just boring having to repeat something i did already

I haven't had my ps4 connected to the internet since Sekiro launched. Can I refuse the update to Sekiro somehow if I want to continue playing 1.0?

not really, because you could get fucked up immediately afterwards, you're too busy looking for your next target and getting ready to parry or dodge

I didn't care about finishing the 2nd worst souls game so excuse me for not knowing her name. FUCK off with the gatekeeping shit.

What lightning guy?

you can stand there and spam L1+R1 and see what happens, it's the same shit

Is this being played by an autistic 12yo?

Why would you refuse it?

>I hate being challenged, easy mode pls
That's what you sound like. Git gud faggot.

SOULS SOUL
SEKRIO SOULLESS

>tfw these kids make more money than you.

I see, thanks user i will just finish it and see the stuff i missed in new game+

You let your waifu down you monster.

dark souls is about positioning and timing, this game is about timing (parries) only.

the best strategy 99.99% of the time is to hug the boss and spam parry his attacks for posture gains.

thats the most fun fight in the game user you n

the timing for that is harder than it looks, have to wait for her to start an attack. other bosses like genichiro wont fall for it either. they can cancel attacks into parry and fake you out

game gud cuz hard
game bad cuz ez

Attached: 53558.jpg (713x713, 51K)

adding to this, the fastest way to beat a boss is to parry their flurries, for posture.

your sword, in essence, does absolutely nothing relative to parries. you can get deathblows at 80% HP if not more.

there are unparriable moves that require positioning to dodge

>why isn't the Emerald Herald considered best girl?
>I didn't care about finishing her game
Absolute scum

Attached: Santa Shanalotte.png (595x800, 400K)

Lmao I think you're the same shitter I shut down earlier. Get fucked kid.

I don't want to apply an update that nerfs the difficulty for example.

I can fap to her without having to play a shit game

oh, no.
i guess that's why the monk told me to fuck off and save him.

It's Fromsoft, they won't nerf the difficulty.

you can lose your entire progress against posture by fucking up once

I don't like being bored. I like constant new things. Repeating something I did already is boring as fuck

She never says that and doesn't even sound like anime 'ara ara' moms at all.

positioning is even more important than in DS due to lack of iframes. Its possible to win only by parrying, but it is slow as fuck against most bosses and liable to get you whittled down. Dodging into blind spots and countering is a much more effective strategy and requires careful observation.

If you don't like the idea of sword clashing and enemies having tough defense that you have to look to exploit or cut through, then you might not find it fun. You can't decimate enemies in this game like other action games, instead you slowly break through their defense with aggressive tactics and pressure

Is it really souls like or techu like?

but what I said is true. why would you ever want to dodge when parries give their bar posture?

Does anyone know how to get Emma to say different things. She just keep talking about dragonrot, people say she says different stuff after watching those small memories of her and the heir in the castle but it's not working for me.

I finished Sekiro and honestly never see myself playing that again because I'm just done with it, nothing else to do and no replay value

I dont think they've nerfed anything. If your IQ is above freezing the game is extremely fair.

>bad
He beat the game in 56 minutes.

Damaging a boss makes their posture regenerate more slowly and some bosses are impossible to posture break otherwise. Not to mention that unless you're getting constant perfect deflects (and often even if you are) you can't just sit in their face and many attacks are flat out impractical to handle that way. Maybe you would know this if you had played the game.

>its shit
>i didnt play it

Attached: vee told me to be disappointed.png (1354x106, 13K)

doing nothing but parry is the sekiro equivalent of a havel build

Multiple things were nerfed in DaS2 when casual scum threw a shitfit, i can grantee this game will be no different.

>Losing to the Shinobi Hunter
>Then autistically raging and breaking a $50 controller
That dude was so easy with the Mikiri Counter

I stomped butterfly when I stopped dodging and started spamming L1. Her flurries massively raise her posture bar.

Getting attacks in is not nearly as important, you only do like 1% per hit anyways.

because the lack of iframes and existance of unblockable attacks that require movement to evade means movement is way more important than dark souls?

Attached: IMG_20190330_204311.jpg (1024x222, 39K)

>dying to Divine Dragon at all
I'm on NG+6 and haven't died to that fight once. It's just a free-win spectacle fighter.

Yes

Attacking increases her posture too dumbass. Same with lowering the HP.

because you can't always parry and dodging often gives you a larger window to hit if you time it right

Compared to des, das and BB? Its shit
Compared to average AAA games, its okay.

Get off my dick. Das2 was my first souls game. Stopped after king venderick. Too bullshit to keep playing

They nerfed Dark Souls 1 massively, ditto ds2 Shrine of Amana and Dragon Shrine and DS3 Ringed City angels.

>Its possible to win only by parrying, but it is slow as fuck against most bosses
Completely untrue R1 spam into parries is the fastest way to kill all humanoid bosses.

Always dodge to the left and hit him in the back

but the lack of iframes prove why parry spam is essential. the dodge is absolute shit. why dodge when you gain no posture on the enemy and you can take HP damage? just L1. it's how you win.

thats only really viable if you have unlocked some of the posture skills and fought her later in the game

What if I like From Soft, but hate hack n slash?

Is there leveling or crafting

what is the perfect bait and red carp eyes items for?

>Armored Knight
Lmao
Very easy but still my favorite moment in the game so far

Attached: 1491236035886.jpg (226x225, 9K)

yes, you spam R1 when you can and parry spam otherwise. literally the way to beat every boss. corrupted monk? parry 5 times, attack twice, repeat till deathblow.

>keep giving the Soulsfag fanboy (You)s

You're all retarded.

speedrun the shura ending or owl bossfight.

>why dodge when you gain no posture
because your posture bar is full and you don't want to risk a deflect that can leave you exposed.

you exchange bait for carp scales later

ROBERTOOOOOOOOOOO

why did you feel you had to specify humanoid bosses?

I beat lady butterfly in 2 attempts, was I just too overleveled? I killed her right after burning bull, everyone here hyped her up but I found her to be extremely easy

Post a clip of you doing that to a boss.

I hate the run backs too. I'll still be playing the hell out of this game but I just wish the game gave you an option to restart right at the bosses and minibosses after you clear the normal enemies.

It isn't too hard, it just isn't rewarding to beat the boss finally. Especially if you're an adult with a job and dont have 10 hours a day to play

>Only have 3 hours to play games after work
>spend 2 of that 3 hours fighting two bosses and dying over and overand the last hour exploring

The game isn't too hard, it's just a fucking waste of time. I can go play SSX3, Armored Core, Stellaris, or any of my other favorite games and have a blast the entire time, or I can play sekiro and spend 80% of it pissed off or making zero progress

hold L1 at the end of a string of attacks, posture drops to 0. or, let yourself be posture broken on the last attack (free reset). dodging/not attacking/not parrying are the worst things to do in this game, where the top bar is king.

In Dark Souls for the most part you could run a poise and strength build where you just take the hits and block or a Dex build where you actually need to dodge.
You could get though the entire game right up until Gwyn without ever needing to parry.
From what I've seen Sekiro is all about the parry, Dark Souls Oops all Gwyn fights.
Like a version of DMC where you're stuck playing royal guard.

It seems a lot like the REmake2 situation where people were shooting every enemy they come across and not understanding that isn't what kind of game it is.

Attached: Ninja_Gaiden_(NES).jpg (220x313, 22K)

That can't be real

everybody beats Lady Butterfly before chained ogre
unless you are a casual

the dodge just requires you to actually pay attention to the direction of a swing, not just the timing. it works fine and is even lower risk if you use it properly.
Once the enemy is locked into a combo it is always a simple matter to just step behind them and hit repeatedly. then breaking their posture becomes a cakewalk. you will beat human bosses 5x faster that way

A little of A, a little of B.

dodging gives no advantage and while you dodge, their posture bar drops. you are better off parrying all the attacks and building the bar.

You weren't overleveled, just good. Maybe some other bosses will give you trouble.

If theres crafting i'm not buying

>operating under the assumption that the boss is totally passive
nice trolling

>clips.twitch.tv/HilariousCarelessToadFeelsBadMan
>retard blocks when he should have been dodging and moving
>"UHH, WHY DOESNT THE BLOCK BUTTON PROTECT ME FROM EVERYTHING"

I didn't even try to reach her as I thought the Hirata Estate was an optional area for when I got better skills and prostethic tools. Guess I'm a casual then

Because non humanoid bosses don't parry into counter predictable counter attacks.

im in the same position but its precisely because that reason that it feels rewarding.

>it's not hard
>it just takes me 2 hours to beat a boss

Attached: 1533979185344.png (1143x851, 236K)

Only if you haven't been doing any hp damage. If they are full hp or above 70% they regen posture just like you do, but below that it becomes harder and harder until they never regain their posture

I. E do both posture damage and hp damage because one compliments the other

cheap (s)hitboxes, magnetism and nearly 360 autotracking on grabs are irredeemable and should have died with darksouls 2.
not only does it look awful, unpolished & diminishes the games quality. it's completely un-intuitive & can't be avoided by observation or even prediction.
it adds nothing to the game but making the player feel cheated. it's really not ok in a modern professional game.
if you die it should be 100% your fault because you were given a reasonable que to parry/dodge but didn't. instead you need to exploit the tracking & magnetism by dodging right into them making the tracking wig out. no matter what it feels like sloppy unsatisfying shit that doesn't belong in the game.

so Fromsoft still has a bit of improving to do. gameplay is faster & animations are nicer. probably their most fluid satisfying game so far. still could be even better tho. the game's still a bit sluggish & unresponsive and animations aren't quite as good compared to other action games.
other than that I'm enjoying it. art style is neat.
and yeah dragonrots stupid too.

you upgrade your tools with some crafting materials, thats pretty much it.

I hate dodging 99% of the time in this game because the dodge is hot garbage.

only time I used it a lot was isshin to sidestep stuff.

there is absolutely no reason to do posture damage to an enemy unless you know you can kill them before they will have a chance to guard and empty it in 2 seconds again
Their bar will not drop while they are mid-attack, which is when you dodge and hit them. as soon as they stop attacking, you press until they leave another opening. repeat. very quickly their posture stops being able to regen at all and then you parry the shit out of them. dead. its very easy

actually hitting them raises the posture bar faster than parrying
but you don't always have a clean opportunity to hit, that's what parrying is for

the dodge in this game is shit. no iframes. even jumping is better than dodging.

>I don't like having to learn from my mistakes and get better at the game
Go back to Wii Sports

It's not crafting in the traditional sense. You purchase prosthetic upgrades with items you find in the world, progressing through a skill tree. In-world they'd call it crafting, but it's not like you sit there grinding out items, it's more like the materials are rare currencies.

you dont need iframes if you have eyes. most bosses have combos that last like 5 seconds. if you can't figure out safe dodges in that long, then maybe turtling is the right choice for you after all

Have you realised why deflecting is strong? It's because of frame data and the fact that enemies with weapons have insane defense to block and deflect your attacks. But step dodge let's you get around their weapons after attack animations to get around their weapon defense and blocks. It's good and you should use it to punish attacks, but it's just not good everywhere.

You make it sound like unless a button isn't good to all the time, it's shit but that's not the case

I think I learned to hate dodging once the fucking ogre would grab me 100 times while "dodging" to the left for his seemingly infinite range grab.

Just know when to dodge you scrub.

I think that's the point, otherwise people would just play the game like the rest of the souls games

it does have iframes you idiot, stop mashing buttons and time things properly

these generals got me shaking lads

Attached: 3.jpg (601x881, 148K)

right, and it's pretty obvious the name of the game is parry spam.

I was really scared that it would be. My god I felt the ptsd coming back

those aren't iframes, you only dodge it because the hitboxes are actually defined
there's alot of moves where dodging only works in specific directions relative to the enemy attack

just wait till you get to spear general

If you dodge correctly you can still dodge to the side for the counter attack, you just don't have the huge window to do it whenever you want like in Bloodborne. It's a good button but sorry that you suck using it

dude u just seem a little retarded not knowing how to reverse the shit its really really simple

yeah the jump must have iframes because I know an arrow went right though me.
more importantly dodging doesn't feel like a solid mechanic in this game.
especially with tracking moves it's never:
>yes dodged that like a pro, working as intended.
it's more like:
>well I guess it worked.
because it feels like your just exploiting broken unreliable mechanics not really dodging them cleanly. it's messy as fuck and i hate how it looks when you dodge an enemy and they auto swirl around like they're on a turntable and just stop short of hitting you. in that moment it looks & feels worse than movement in some ps2 games.

how is that any different than rolling spam?
they both require specific timing and don't always work

It's not "too hard" it's just exceptionally nitpicky, and you need to adapt to it. I got my platinum today, but I honestly didn't have any fun playing it, because I hate the playstyle you absolutely have to adopt for it. It feels like a shitty rhythm game to me when it comes to boss/mini-boss combat, and that's not what I play these types of game for.

This post doesn't make any sense, you CAN shoot every enemy you come across in REmake2.

literally wrong, you can phase right through attacks while dodging. you're just getting caught at the end of the swing when the iframes run out because you're dodging in the same direction as the swing is moving

im pretty sure i took more time to defeat orphan than like everything else in sekiro

because every time I fight a miniboss or boss my first instinct is to hug the boss and wait for attacks. because that's the correct strategy for all bosses (minus demon at the end.)

>it's a Soulsfag complains about tracking in video games episode

Oh shit, this one is a classic!

I don't remember the guy's name but his Youtube channel is full of embarrassing shit like this.

it literally has iframes you absolute mong

This exactly. It’s not too hard, it’s just not that fun once the initial novelty of combat wears off. That and stealth takes you out of the action too much.

and everytime i fight a boss in dark souls my instinct is to hug the boss and spam r1, because that's the correct strategy for all bosses.

Attached: 1553641757279.jpg (1200x1115, 265K)

Thank you user. I dunno, this game feels like a rhythm game and I'm not garbage at those so it all feels very fun. I wouldn't say easy, but it certainly is tons of fun to learn every enemy's rhythm and react accordingly

>posts a webm from team ninja a company that did it right.
there goes your video games excuse.

based Sony consumer telling the snelly basement dwelling incels how it is

You would run out of ammo.

this, exactly this. far too much emphasis on parrying. also, not crazy about the rock/paper/scissors "thrust or sweep" stuff.

do you parry spam against manus and artorias?

no, I dodge spam against every boss in the game because it grants me compelle invulnerability.

Welcome to the show, user.

Attached: revving.jpg (275x283, 20K)

do you parry spam against the ogre or the shichimen warrior?

jump on her head before aggro then shes opened for a deathblow

I WAS HAVING FUN UNTIL I GOT TO THIS SNAKE EYES FAGGOT WHY THE FUCK IS HE HARDER THAN ANY BOSS FUCK THIS SHIT

>Start NG+
>Can just blast through the game since enemy movesets are etched into memory already
I'm expecting Sword Saint Ishin to being a pain in the ass but other than that it feels like I've already gotten my fun out of this game. Still need to do Immortal Severance and Shura endings but it feels like there isn't a whole lot of difference between playthroughs: there are no interesting decisions to make, no sequence breaking, the order you explore areas and kill bosses doesn't really matter and the interconnectedness of the world doesn't really serve any real gameplay purpose like Dark Souls did.

Now that the honeymoon phase is over I'm being quite disappointed by this game to be completely honest.

if you know their attacks, you can evade them.

in this game, I can LITERALLY spam L1 and never get hit once. Not once. Even with zero knowledge of their moveset.

I one-shot Orphan. I will go to my grave not even sure of how I beat Demon of Hatred - especially considering I couldn't even see what the fuck it was doing when I was close enough to actually hit it.

You must be a Nioh newfag if you think Team Ninja games don't have tracking. Enemies in Ninja Gaiden will literally 360 degrees track you, you either dodge at the right time or you are getting hit, just as it should be.

Nioh is literally Team Ninja shitting the bed to purposely pander to mongoloids like you, all for the sake of money.

I didn't. Killing everything is how i play every Resident Evil game and REmake 2 was no different

Which Snake Eyes are you stuck on? There are easy tricks for both.

nigga, just back off him and anticipate blocking the ranged shots

in this game, you literally can't spam L1 because the timing will never match up to an enemy's attack, and you'll be getting a mix of blocks and deflects which is sub-optimal and will leave you in a very risky situation in terms of posture.
but you'd know this if you had played it.

Friendly reminder not to respond to this Ninja Gaiden fag, he spams the same kinds of retarded webms over and over in DMC threads and has no real arguments.

It's probably the hardest default/normal game this generation, and you can't make the default/normal mode easier, only harder. People should know that going in.

I don't really think it was too hard, but at times it felt like From fell for their own le prepare to rrrrrrage xD meme a bit too hard. I know the promo stuff they sent out for the release included a little book on how to deal with your Sekiro rage and a custom made rage pillow to scream into when you die. So they're aware.

no you can't, there are attacks that hurt you through L1 and attacks that can't be parried

How do I beat Genichiro

Attached: sad_illya.png (350x370, 137K)

you won't get a perfect parry, yes. but you will block everything.

there is no punishment for mashing L1 other than gaining some posture if you overdo it.

My issue with the game is that it has boring and forgettable soundtrack. The only enjoyable part of it was the ambient music at Hirata estate, that shit was dope

Just beat hatred. This hell is almost over lads.

>only
retard

>you literally can't spam L1

He's retard but this is a literal lie

>there is no punishment
other than getting posture broken and possibly one shot after, yeah, sure.
>if you know their attacks, you can evade them.
you dont need to know their attacks since the iframe window is so huge in dark souls you can just react to any move in the game with a dodge.

Never let up on him.
Use itchymonkey when he gets open.
Beat his ass into a corner and when he tries to hop back to use his bow you can just stab him

Nigga, you just suck shit. I have roughly the same time for vidya after work and I'm having a golden time because every boss I defeat feels so rewarding. Hell, I nearly let out a loud "Yes!" when I was above ti defeat Genichiro.
Game just is just not for you.

my bad, you do 1 or 2 R1s in between parrying stuff.

i'm sorry, but after playing Bloodborne and Dark Souls 1 I am not going to tolerate shit because Fromsoft made it.

You must be the most buttblasted faggot in the history of this website and that's quite the achievement. Fuck off back to your containment threads DMC sperg.

yeah, for like the first 1/3 of the game
eventually the attack chains become so long/heavy, if you don't actually parry correctly or run away they burn straight through your posture bar

No it isn't, you can literally go test it in game if you want. Spamming L1 doesn't guarantee you deflects.

Her swipes are very easy to tell and deflect. So much windup on that shit. Whenever she does her little dumb kick she starts aiming up a shot, so remember to dash around it to get some free hits on her.

No. Chained Ogre is just broken, everything else has been piss easy.

Seven Spears got me so mad trying to play conservatively like the sword generals because his spear has mad reach and tracking. Then I watched Lobos' gf just mash R1 at him which eventually worked. Then I took that strat and combined it with reducing his hp with firecrackers and took him down relatively ez.

>guarantee

and? You get them regardless, if you don't you get a block instead, the parry window is huge.

let me be clear: the game is enjoyable for what it is, on regular enemies and some minibosses. but on "main" bosses, they are not fun, it's just a long stressful period of parry spam and hoping you don't get instagibbed by an ability.

because you can build a posture bar to 90% and die from one tiny mistake, it's bullshit.

>His first moves are always a shot from his faggy little bow and then follows up with a swipe
>Easy deflects and punishes on that
>Whenever he jumps in the air and smashes down, he either pauses or follows it up with a thrusting perilous attack
>Just mikiri counter that or if he pauses, smash his ass

which means you'll have to chill out and won't be able to go on the offensive immediately because your posture bar won't be looking too good to withstand the upcoming boss attack.

I could never figure out the timing on her 90% damage pull she likes to spam so I just umbrella'd the whole thing. Fuck those bitches.

But alot of the themes are just amazing, even more so than the soulsborne themes, if you want i can list you links of my favourites.

you can build up posture in like 10 seconds, of course they should fuck you up for messing up
most of the bosses can be killed in less than a minute if you play it right, that's how they balance it out

FUCK OFF EVEN WHEN I BLOCK THE KICK I GET STUCK STANDING LIKE A RETARD UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING AND THE FUCKING GRAB IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DODGE IT HITS ME NO MATTER WHEN I DO

First guy literally was not blocking, his sword wasn't up and he just dodged.

Second guy got too greedy and got punished for trying to spam R1 instead of countering or parrying.

I've only seen 2 webm's with suspicious stuff going on and everything else has been people not understand why they died.

>because you can build a posture bar to 90% and die from one tiny mistake

Attached: shame.gif (245x213, 962K)

Why make that mistake then? Stop sucking shit and quit your bitching if you're a ke to do it for the majority of the fight and then suddenly choke.

I don't have the patience for these types of games anymore. I'm not a teenager

You have to be shitposting because you perfectly described the difficulty in this game then went on to describe it as the shitters do, this is a calculated shitpost

It's just a warning user, if you'd ever seen him in DMC threads you'd understand.

you sound fat and neckbeard

>I'm a filthy scrub who doesn't like hard games
fixed that for you.

>block kick
That's your issue you fucking faggot. Dodge that shit instead of eating it and get some hits in. Jump back on her grabs. Holy shit, man. I had trouble with her when I ran into one of them in the poison pool, but made her eat shit at the rematch near the gunners fort.

cause it's bullshit, and the "res" they give you spawns you at 50% health. wanna heal? good luck on certain bosses, who will instantly chase and kill you like isshin. I guess the main idea is, it's challenging, but not fun. It is what it is. They wanted the "clang clang" parry-fest that boss fights are, but I can't say it works well.

Press R1 till he dies

Attached: R1.webm (640x360, 2.93M)

How do you beat the "Chained Ogre"?
I've been stuck on him for literally a week.

This is literally not true? Why are you still saying it? You can go on youtube and see people not timing a single parry and getting them regardless and beating the enemies with no issues. You can literally see them spam L1 every time the enemy does not attack. Almost none of the enemies in the game have a followup attack fast enough to hit you while your poise is broken, for that to happen it needs to be broken at the very start of a long combo.

nigga I love co-opping in dark souls and I'm enjoying the hell out of sekiro
these dudes are just arrogant shitheads that care too much about loosing to act reasonably, getting mad at and blaming the game instead of learning whenever they fuck up because wtf dude I'm good at videogames this game must be bad

I liked hard games when I was younger and didnt have a social life or a job. Now I find hard games boring and tedious. I want to have casual fun

not him but go for it

...

You can have a normal life and still enjoy hard games, user

Bet you're the fantasy here with your slow reaction time. Trim the fat around your sausage fingers and maybe you'll be able to hit the bumpers comfortably, fatass.
Then you probably dont have the mechanics down.

Fromsoft game rankings:

BB = DS1 > DeS > DS3 > DS2 > Kings Field > Metal Wolf Chaos > (power gap)... > Sekiro

These games are a meme.

you can literally have 3 resurrections per fight you dumbass retard
how can you possibly know if someone is timing parries unless you see their hands on the controller, you god damn inbred?
didnt even read the rest of this inane false drivel, kill yourself
>im bad at it so it sucks
kek

I specifically said I knew how to do it you illiterate nigger. I just had no practice until the dragon. Christ, you people are actual retards.

>How do I beat Genichiro
you have to be aggressive in the first 2 phases. Attack him in sets of two-- two R1's then guard, then two more if he's open. Keep doing this to bait out his thrust, then counter. Second phase is the same shit, but he mixes thrusts with swipes and you have to be more careful.
Phase 3 is literally just baiting his lightning attack and killing him in 4 moves.

Folding Screen Monkeys

Keep your boogieman autism in your safe space threads you fucking sperg

he telegraphs everything and they make it obvious that you can't parry any of his moves, just run away from the grabs and dodge the kicks/ground pounds
don't spam buttons and be patient
he's supposed to be the tutorial boss that teaches you that parry isn't the answer to everything

There is literally no need for hard games like this in modern times.

I beat the game. I like everything except boss battles, and that most combat arts are useless.

wow I didn't even see the second guy but the onions meme is real. They should find something other than video games to do and QUICK

fav boss theme for me is a tie between gentle blade and daddy owl

It's actually BB = Sekiro = DaS > DeS > DaS3 > DaS2 > Your shit tastes

the flame prosthetic tool will stun him. otherwise you just have to dodge everything really well, only follow up with 1-2 attacks and don't get greedy.

any more salt mines from streams available?

>any fromsoft game comes out now
>HARD! hard? GIT GUD. is X harder than Y? how many tries on X boss??? hard?? DUDE I DIED LMAO GIT guD
>journos cant play!!! casual filters lel kek hard as fuck, hardcore HARD?
as someone who was introduced to fromsoft in dark souls 1, I'm so sorry tenchu/AC fans. I didn't mean for this to happen

>press R1 till he dies
>does two mikiri counters, a jump kick, and a lightning reversal
hmmmmm

>how can you possibly know if someone is timing parries unless you see their hands on the controller, you god damn inbred?

You're a complete fucking mongoloid. You can fucking seed then mashing the L1 button and Sekiro doing the hold sword up dance every time an enemy finishes a combo because they have no fucking idea what they are doing and are just mashing the button the minute the enemy telegraphs an attack. Kill yourself you fucking idiot, you're just as bad as the mong you were originally arguing with

Attached: 1547227345430.jpg (300x300, 19K)

where you get flame prostetic?

>456574583
youtube.com/watch?v=nhQLLskRJGU
I mean if this is the height of modern game difficulty, then yeah.

most of this is generic garbage, just like everything Yuka has done in the past. literally reused voice samples from Dark Souls 3 in Divine Dragon's theme.
Why they didn't bring back the Bloodborne composers is beyond me.

eh who gives a shit about this unimportant shit?
you care too much about nonsense to be a good judge of character

Yeah I remember guys like on the blimp boss had intense tracking but his range & grab box wasn't bullshit & your dodge & jump were equipped to deal with it. so you could dodge & react which makes it less bullshit. I remember I was sort in a sort of safe range & instinctively dodged it the first time. no where near as bad in terms of game design and look as souls do it. but team ninja stopped doing that because they realised there were more satisfying ways of making games hard. fromsoft haven't learned.

Ment for

>i dont know what deflects are: the post
i mean no wonder you're crying relentlessly in every thread about the same shit, jesus christ. learn the fucking mechanics dude.

hirata estate. It's in a campfire. The area with a bunch of dudes and some dogs

>this whole strawman

What a massive faggot you are

instead of trying to push through the ogre, explore the rest of the area until you meet an old lady

I've never broken a controller before, but when I was fighting Isshin I smacked my right bumper against my desk to revive. Considering I whopped his ass right after, I'd say it was worth it. I spent 4 hours trying to beat that fucking cunt.

You get a bunch of prostetics in Hirata so go do some exploring if you're missing a lot of them.

i think you should focus on learning to read before playing videogames tbqh
you dont look that prepared for them yet.

I really like the game but after DMC jump everything I can't used to responding properly here. Also the attack an area alert everyone run away to reset stuff is super tedious.

impressive

but ogre still kills me....
this game is fucking shit

Congratulations on making the person you were arguing against sound reasonable and righteous. Stellar job you fucking brainlet

Buddy, I just played Halo 4 for the first time after not having played a console FPS game for like four years and a 360 FPS game in like eight and I could still headshot nearly every Grunt and slaughter Elites on Heroic without even trying. This is footage from someone who has never played an FPS game in their life

Why are you samefagging pretending not to be him? Literally the same reddit spacing.

use oil to proc burn in one hit
beyond that, nothing to do but stop getting hit

have you seen the owl 2 one?

They never stopped doing it, because trackign a is a fucking staple of most video games including all action games.

Not really, not to anyone who has played the game and knows what a deflect is. I don't really care about what some random bystander thinks.

pretending not to be whom? Don't talk to me you troglodyte.

...

if that's too hard for you and you can't learn, then you should just stop right now because you probably aren't smart enough to learn how to fight the other bosses
the entire game is rock-paper-scissors, not rock with different timing

I have not

What the fuck are you even talking about you complete retard? Where did this deflect shit even come from? you literally made something up and now you're using it like it's an argument. Why can't you have a normal honest argument without turning to faggotry?

dmc jumping can get you some pretty decent mileage here too since it's got iframes on startup as well

you should try reading. connecting sentences and rationale between posts shouldn't be THAT difficult.

new thread

That second clip is hilarious. The immediate loud banging and PS4 menu popping up combined with his trembling voice trying to hold back tears is just perfect.
