Despite sekrio being really good, we all agree this is game of the generation right?

despite sekrio being really good, we all agree this is game of the generation right?

Yes. Sekiro pushes the difficulty meme too far whereas it was perfectly balanced in BB. Also Sekiro has worse music and level design isn't as suspenseful.

>yuka kitamura makes the msuic
>SOULSniggers go crazy
>IT'S GONNA BE SOOOOO GOOD
>ends up shit
oh no we never saw that coming

Why are BB fags so fucking insecure?

I feel like BB would be better if it was DaS3 instead of it just being stripped down dark souls. I like the combat improvements but hate farming items and lack of diversity of playtypes.

Bloodborne is boring shit compared to Sekino

It certainly is the soundtrack of the generation.

I wish I could kiss the feet of all the talented artists contributing their work to these beautiful games.

yes

I love bloodborne (it's my favorite one out of the series), but what's with these types of threads? We've had too many of these rank threads already.

Attached: ayyyy.png (371x434, 253K)

Holy shit, I though this was the promo render for BB.

Katanas are for fedora faggots, feudal japan sucks and horror always wins.

I could have told you Sekiro would be inferior before even touching it.

how is sekiro pushing the difficulty meme?

it's not that hard, the combat mechanics are different, gags dodging into swipes expecting to phase through then calling it hard are retarded, this isn't a souls game, don't treat it like one, learn how to actually play it and you'll find it's not really that hard.

She was way outta her comfort zone. I blame whoever urged her to go authentic instead of memorable.

Okay guys, give it to me straight.
I haven't played Bloodborne, but I have played all other FROMSOFTWARE titles, with Dark Souls being my absolute favorite. I love the worldbuilding, interconnectivity, level design, and sense of progression.
Sell me on Bloodborne. What makes it good on its own, and how is it compared to their other games?
People who played Bloodborne as their first (or only) FROMSOFTWARE game due to it being a PS4 exclusive need not apply.

I'm at Owl and he wrecks my ass. This whole game has been Wolf getting raped several dozen times per boss. In BB you had one tough boss then an extended session where you walked in like a champ killing beasts. Sekiro doesn't have as many self-esteem boost moments.

Dude just borrow someone's PS4 and play it. You would love it most likely.

did you play any souls games before Bloodborne? or was that your first from game?

can i borrow yours?

I played DaS1, then BB then DaS3 then Sekiro.

Yeah, but what makes it THAT good? People sing its praises almost everywhere but I can't help having the feeling that it might be overrated.
I want to be assured of its quality compared to the other games, and what makes it a modern masterpiece.
Also, I don't know anyone with a PS4

If you didn't get used to 60+FPS by playing the titles on a PC, you will probably enjoy BB. If not, it runs at a consistent 25FPS with dips down to like15 in some areas.

The game also only really plays with an aggressive style, the weapons are all geared toward fast-paced aggressive combat and the game feels like it lacks variety because of it, but the combat is still very good.

It is overrated. I'm normally just a PC player normally but I bought a PS4 for Bloodborne way back. It was a great game don't get me wrong, but definitely not "game of the generation." I honestly can't even decide for sure if it's my favourite From game.
If you like Dark Souls, you'll like Bloodborne. It won't jump out at you as the best game you ever played though, just a slightly different Dark Souls.

All the weapons are viable and effective too.

I am not saying they aren't (the way that all weapons are viable is one of the many strengths) only that if you liked playing with like a slower paced weapon in prior titles - or playing more defensively like a bitch, this game doesn't have a great selection of weapons for your varied playstyles

Nah not really, I think Sekiro is way better. The gameplay and bosses are just so much superior, that even though I prefer Lovecraftian lore it doesn't make BB better for me.

yes the bosses are so good
i love samurais
i love fighting the same guy 3 times because lol i can't kill him until i have magic sword loooool
the only two good bosses in sekiro is the guardian ape and demon of hatred
don't (you) me with your inferior trash opinion nigger

I haven't played below 60 fps for like 6+ years.
Aggressive playstyle is fine

The sheer amount of popularity it has online made me really wary of its quality. Like, are these people only praising it due to it being a PS4 exclusive? Is it a "babby's first Souls" situation?
I'm binging the games at the moment, and I'd love to try it out, but me not having a PS4 makes it difficult for me.

What I wouldn't give for a patch to make use of the PS4Pro hardware and bring BB up to 60FPS, but I think the animations are tied to the framerate so it might not be possible

You're the one with inferior retard subhuman opinions lmfao.
There is nothing in Bloodborne that comes anywhere even close to Sword Saint Isshin, or Genichiro, or Owl, or Guardian Ape.
Even Divine Dragon which is just an easy gimmick boss is better than anything in FromSofts previous games.

You have terrible taste.

if you don't already own a PS4, don't buy one specifically for BB, you will likely regret throwing that money away if you don't also want other PS4 games or something

I think that's exactly what it is. It's a great game, but that combined with the exclusivity and the fact that it was the first souls game for a lot of people I think means BloodBorne got a lot of credit that should have just belonged to Dark Souls, for the gameplay mechanics and loops and such.

I'm considering doing the PS Now trial just for Bloodborne when I have a week off.
From what I gather, it's just like Stadia except it streams from PS4 to PC, right? How's the input lag?

Bloodborne is pretty meh without the DLC. With the DLC it's a strong contender for best Souls game.

>or Guardian Ape.
This is bait

stop playing sekiro like a souls game then, it has a different combat system, learn it, they even added a dude you can practise with in the temple.

Yes, Guardian Ape is objectively a better "large beast" type boss than any of the large beasts in Bloodborne. As a boss fight, I mean.
Ludwid for sure has a way cooler design, and soundtrack. But Guardian Apes fight is just better.

I haven't tried PSNow, but just streaming with my Nvidia Shield from my PC upstairs to a rig downstairs over 10GB LAN, I can tell you that an action oriented game is going to suck with input latency when streaming from some datacenter somewhere to your home - that shit would work best in like turn-based games

No, because Bloodborne is entirely reliant on its DLC content, which fixed the glaring flaws in multiplayer, weapon and build variety, and the overwhelming drop in interesting bosses and general difficult scenarios after Vicar Amelia.

Bloodborne's pacing is fucked. Father Gascoigne and the Bloodstarved Beast are the hardest bosses you'll encounter up until Ebrietas, and the bosses you do encounter include the massive-damage minion horde Rom, the trio-gank shadows, the sludge reborn, micolash, slam me on the head amygdala, bigger luke and mergo's wet rag.

Sekiro doesn't have this problem. It has difficult encounters throughout the entire game at basically every fucking direction.

And while the DLC content for Souls-like games are generally considered to be almost assuredly superior to their base games, Sekiro's late-half bosses already maintain a DLC-level quality. Not to mention, that with the introduction of the grapple, the area and level design Sekiro boasts is already of a DLC standard quality as well.

>Is it a "babby's first Souls" situation?
Not for me. I found the general direction they took with the combat was liberating, after DaS1 and DaS2 ditched DeS' faster combat, for example. Trick weapons were a good addition, most of the bosses were better than in the previous games, the DLC is great, the art direction is great, and in terms of level design it's the 2nd best in the series after DaS. There's many reasons why its ranked higher than most souls games, and why its my personal favorite.

Are you literally stupid? It is the best beast boss From ever made. Non of your BB hairy fuckers can compete with Guardian ape

That's reassuring.
But it's not a "masterpiece" then? It's fine if it isn't, but so many people always put it at the top spot and my mind swings back and forth from being really excited about it and being really put off in the case that it's overrated.
Maybe I should just temper my expectations.

>The sheer amount of popularity it has online
Not outside of Yea Forums it isn't. It's always DaS1 or even DaS3.

yep bb still goat

The Vaati video about its story has like 5 million views, it's huge

>self-esteem boost
ur just a bitch

no

Attached: w3.jpg (600x250, 31K)

bloodborne has the coolest aesthetic, but sekiro is more fun.

What are you talking about, Bloodborne is being recognized as like at least in the top 25 best games ever made as the years go on.

Bloodhound is the hardest out of all of them simply because you cannot block

ludwig

>But it's not a "masterpiece" then?
Personal bias: t's my favorite game of this decade.
It certainly has flaws, no game is without flaws. You should temper your expectations. Just go in with 0 expectations.

snoyborne is overrated

if you can't download boss movelists in sekiro in less than 3 attempts, consider yourselfs shitters

So are the souls games, don't kid yourself.

Sekino>3>BB>1=2

After playing it around release, I thought that Bloodborne was severely overrated and that DeS and DaS1 were much better.

But as the years go by I feel like the experience you get from Bloodborne is much more memorable.
It's just my opinion, but I really feel it's the most perfect game ever made.

It's not BBfags.

Rather, It's a special breed of sony fags upset that a new and exciting multiplatform from software game has come out.

Hence the,

>"Still king"
>Goat
>Gotg

Shit that's been popping up exceedingly recently.

This being my first From Software game, I can say that having tried a little bit of DS3 and giving up, this seems ridiculously easier in comparison. You can't dodge roll these niggas

>Is it a "babby's first Souls" situation?
Nah. Bloodborne is my favorite and I went DaS -> DaS2 -> BB -> DaS Remastered -> DaS3 -> DaS2 SotFS.
With that being said, the things I like the most about Bloodborne are the atmosphere, the trick weapons, the great music and the unique setting (goth shit mixed with lovecraft and eldrich horror)

Bloodbornes completley nails its gothic victorian asethetic, gameplay is unique and fun. It really is solid from every angle, its maybe the best realised game of this generation.

>t. Sonyger

Bloodborne still the GOAT for me too. Sekiro was too frustrating for me personally. Still dope though.

Lol I love watching anglos seethe at superior cultures

sekiro's bosses are much better than any of their other games so nah

close, but no cigar. here's the real list
Sekino>3>1=2>>>BB

>any souls game above BB

Attached: 1249791221198.jpg (366x380, 20K)

>BBfag COPE thread

Attached: adsfa.jpg (278x181, 9K)

sure man, head on over and pick it up

Playing it for the 4th time right now. It is a fucking masterpiece.

This is 100% my opinion.
Let's see what the DLC for sekiro will look like, but BB without the DLC is kinda dull. Best kino moments are in the DLC
Remember Lady Maria's intro?
Remember Ludwigs transformation?
Remember Orphan's birth? The weeping and his death?
Now try to think what do you have in the base game that tops it.
Sekiro already is a kino game, with a really fun combat system and great enemies.
It lacks in RPG elements and multiplayer tho, but still a great game.

All of this aside, FROMSOFTWARE games are really good overall and i love them.
Except ds2

Attached: 1553768668118.jpg (255x383, 23K)

Sonybros are just mad that Sekiro is multiplat and is on the same level, or better than BB.

But that's not Witcher 3 in the pic.

Yuka Kitamura is a hack, who the fuck remembers anything from the soundtrack of Dark Souls 3 except the three notes of Soul of Cinder that came from Gwyn's theme and the first seven notes (three seconds) of Sister Friede's.

She can't compose for shit. Meanwhile ten years later everyone remembers everything from Demon's Souls soundtrack.

>really fun combat system
It never fucking evolves. Not once.
Every boss fight remains spamming parry and attack. Once you've killed your first boss, you know exactly what you're in for the rest of your playthrough, because with everything you unlock nothing has a single meaningful change.

Getting the Mortal Blade initially felt like getting a big powerup, but then I realised it's just a new finisher animation and that's it. Another pointless gimmick to throw upon my dozens of worthless tools.

>bought sekiro but instead of playing it i just went back to bloodborne and played with friends and invade

miyazaki really dropped the ball, i dont think any other of his games will come close to this

Attached: kos.webm (852x480, 2.85M)

BB is not dull without the DLC you moron

I dunno. I have the lovecraft best craft bias. Sekiro ease my dank soul scar as good but boipussy is harder for BB cuz best craft.

>DeS soundtrack

Yes, yes indeed. I do in fact remember quite clearly how Demons Souls featured the first track fully composed of farts, the, "Storm King".
