Sekiro HELP thread

Sekiro HELP thread.
I'll start:

Hello again anons, it's the user who's been having input lag (and now, another) issues.

I'm playing on PC, with a wireless XB1 controller. 1060 card. Windowed mode. I have anywhere from 1/2 to 2/3 second input lag. Some notes on this:

>THIS IS ONLY HAPPENING IN SEKIRO, NOT ONE OF THE 387 OTHER STEAM GAMES i OWN EXPERIENCE INPUT LAG (including the Souls games and even Nioh - I just tested these out last week) - it's not the contoller
>I've tried several graphics options in Sekiro, no change
>I've tried a few options in nVidia Control Panel (like turning VSync OFF) - no change
>an user last week suggested changing resolution from 1440 to 1080, so I tried this - no change

One of the last things I tried actually fixed input lag: changing to fullscreen (again, via Sekiro). That worked. No input lag! However, going fullscreen has caused a completely different issue: I'm guessing due to the HDR mode that gets enabled in fullscreen, when I closed out of Sekiro I found that all my color setups on my desktop/windows were all jacked up. The color/contrast/brightness/gama/etc were aaaaall off, and I had to spend a good 20+min readjusting my color setup. After, just to be sure it was Sekiro and not some ghost nVidia update, I reopened Sekiro and closed it - all my colors were jacked up, again.

SO. I've been waiting patiently for a patch to drop, no luck. I've been posting here and other boards, no luck. I've been searching forums and posts all over the web for this issue, no luck. I'm not playing wired when I haven't had to for ANY other game, and I'm not playing in fullscreen when that jacks up my display. So, I'm boned.

If anyone else has had this experience, at least the PC input lag, and has genuine, actual help/advice, I'm all eyes. Otherwise I'm biding my time for a patch. And if one doesn't come (or it doesn't fix my issue(s)), I'm gonna bite the bullet and just got by a different version. In the meantime, I'm playing through Nioh.

Should I farm up to get all the combat arts before going into my 2nd playthrough?

How many lapis lazuli can you get in a playthrough?

WHY IS THERE A FUCKING HEADLESS UNDER THE GOD DAMN WATER?
THE FUCK SHOULD I BE DOING, THIS IS NOT MONSTER HUNTER 3

Do i have to run through the swamp for the mt?

they're easier than the ones on land desu
no slowdown shit means you can freely dodge in and out. combined with how fast and far the underwater dodge goes you should be able to avoid getting hit at all

Why are there more carp scales than there are things to spend them on? I've emptied both merchants inventories and still have 2 left, am I missing something?

good luck with that
lmao

I have the same issues after closing the game. Just changing my monitors resolution and then reverting back fixes it for me. Still annoying though.

one deathblow.
divine confetti
drink the mottled purple gourd/eat the terror cure item for a buff before you swim down
spam attack on his head
L1 occasionally
drink when your health gets too low
too easy

Anyone got the rin webm?

Any cheeses on sword saint?

Did you turn one of them into a carp? They get a few more things in their inventory

>I'm guessing HDR gets enabled in fullscreen
youre right, its an nvidia driver issue thats been around for years and will never be fixed, set your rgb range to limited on both your monitor and gpu through nvidia control panel, then click on the game exe, disable fullscreen optimizations and launch

You pretty much have to land mikiri counters consistently and time deflects properly. He definitely telegraphs his thrusts.

I don't really know what you want.

No reason to waste confetti on underwater ones, they die in less than a minute even without it.

Where can I farm the missing ingredient? Demon of hatred damage when I miss a parry is fucking murder on NG+. I need that fire umbrella like the shitter I am.

Attached: 20190330152127_1.jpg (1920x1080, 597K)

I'm thinking I might just use the old faithful cheese in this game of running circles until they do the attack that lets you get one stab. It just takes a long time and is extremely boring.

you farm mercury from gun people when the castle is burning
like the ones at ashina castle entrance

When's the cut-off point for end-game content?

I want to beat Owl 2 but I also want to go to the Fountainhead.

Not really a cheese, but when you get your first deathblow, keep attacking him so when he pulls out the spear he's already got a bit of HP dealt with.

He just gets the other guy's inventory, which I'd already emptied.

>what do ashina samurai want
>please tell me when you find out

When Owl 1 aks you *that* question, that's the point where you'll choose what content you'll get to play.

idk what else you would save them for besides other headless and shinchimen but ok guy

Ministry gun fuckers in Ashina castle or ourskirts.
There's a group of them right near the first idol in the castle, use golden vortex on them for quick farming.

Divine Dragon triggers the end game. You're fine to do anything as long as you don't beat him.

Guys I can't beat lady Butterfly. Is there any thing I can do to make things easier?

Any good places to farm pellets, at least...

Attached: george-costanza.jpg (650x400, 36K)

I've been doing that and now need 30k for one skill point. I'm going to NG+. Do unlock all the ashina skills.

Eavesdrop more and you'll find out

he has three phases
this seems to require more concentration than just trying to read his thrusts

Sword Saint > Soul of Cinder > Gehrman >King Allant > Gwyn >>>>>> Nashandra

yea see you in a week

What prosthetic did you guys use against Owl 2?

You need to eavesdrop on some samurai.
They're on a bridge at the back of the castle. They want salt.

You should just slice his throat desu, he's literally supplying your enemies

5 if you don't go for the "bad" ending.
can't have both, when you choose to side with owl or don't is where paths differentiate.

Its helpful on first corrupted monk and hate demon

Later there's lmao2underwaterheadless

But where

If you want to cheese, get the Nightjar slash skill and spam it on her first phase. It stunlocks her.

For a more honorabru fight, use shuriken when she's jumping in the air to make her fall. Also don't engage illusions, she'll dispel them on her own.

throwing shurikens at her while she's up on the wire gives you some hits

Be aggressive, shuriken her in the air.
Ignore illusions until they get too close.
Learn 2 parry.

It's an optional boss, ignore her and come back later if you want.

firecrackers

At the castle

Can you farm the candy that halves your health and posture anywhere?

On the bridge behind the castle

>Is there any thing I can do to make things easier?
Not really. Lady Butterfly is a casual filter. Just keep learning her pattern and you'll get her eventually. But keep the heat on. You need to be super aggressive with her.

...

>wireless
found your problem
NEVER do wireless.

>Also don't engage illusions, she'll dispel them on her own

Killing them replenishes your emblems tho

I found 6.

2 from demon of hatred, 1 from the weird kamehameha dude in the divine palace, 1 from the giant carp quest, two you buy with scales after you finish the giant carp quest.

not sure if there are anymore.

don't use prosthetics, they will lead you down the false path, fight him like a man, learn to parry, mikiri and lightning reversal.

this isn't a souls game, she's a boss specifically made to teach people that, stop dodging expecting to i-frame through shit and start parrying.

Attached: tumblr_o4xjp3jKTl1uk431so1_1280.jpg (1280x698, 279K)

>nashandra
>not sir alonne or fume knight
Also ds2 sucks.

if you mean the spiritfall "consumable" then it's in the fountainhead waters.

Where thef uck do I go once I reach the buddha forest? Feels like I checked everything and nothing but dead ends. Last checkpoint is in that big house with the centipede people and NPC.

Hows the NG+? Do enemies/bosses do anything new or is it just stats tweak? (which is fine btw, definitely replaying this one anyway)

>engaging a mob with the boss firing homing projectiles
>just to replenish spirit emblems you don't need

6? i thought it was 5.
you mean the purple mage mini boss?
that's the one i didn't kill.

Just got to fountainhead, trying to get best ending
Is there anything I should do before I clear this area? I don't want to miss anything that's missable by accident.

Just started the game and I am already stuck at the Drunkard boss. Can you deflect his attack?

I have been using that lunge forward after shuriken moves to chip off his health. Might be able to take him down but is there anyway to fight him more effectively?

So far the game is kind of brutal. Most of the time I can’t decide whether to block, deflect, jump or dodge. Are there any tips for combat?

send help

Attached: 20190330202617_1.jpg (1920x1080, 298K)

there is not much new, it is fun going through the game with all upgrades though.

You do realize what he's comparing, right?

I know it's optional and I've been progressing pretty well otherwise but I really want to beat her...

I'll use the shuriken more, thanks. Does upgraded shuriken help more or should I just toss regular?

They die in one hit nigger, what you on about

And you use emblems for ie. shurikens

And I have received three Dragonrots for this. Am I fucked? Should I start over?

Owl 2 is highly missable

Three different Shinchimen fights
one drops the Ceremonial Tanto
one drops the Malcontent Ring
another drops LL

stats.
you need to kill genichiro, so you basically have to go to ashina castle and walk the rooftops.

My dick getting hard every time Emma talks needs some serious help.

Don't know if people have pointed this out before, but you can completely skip true corrupted monk's second phase by doing a plunging deathblow from the highest grapple when she tries to send out her copies

One lady asks you to save her dad from eternal servitude.

Contrary to what your player instincts might think, it does NOT mean you should kill him.

yeah you missed something else then, go back to ashina castle, there's a bossfight there, also there's an area you can access from where you first started the game.

I just started ng+ today and finished the first boss, didn't notice much different, although I should say, there's a set amount of gourd seeds and beads in the game world, whatever you loot in NG, won't respawn in ng+, you get gold pouches or other valuable consumables in their stead, so if you want to max out your gourd or health/posture, you might as well scour the world in NG.

Attached: image_324.jpg (2169x2160, 673K)

unlock the steps for the other ending, you will miss a few bosses otherwise.

Shuriken doesn't break the fight. It's just a way to keep the heat up when she gets on the wire. I liked throwing it when she was about to launch down with the perilous attack. You may as well throw the upgraded one.

>They die in one hit
anyone tried hitting them with shurikens yet?

>also there's an area you can access from where you first started the game.
I literally don't know where that was. Don't you wake up at the scultpor's after the prologue?

protip for you.
you can fully negate damage from EVRYTHING that's not a red symbol.
wether blocking or reflect will make him/it react is another question but at worse, you're dealing posture damage.

>Are there any tips for combat?
yes, when killing a boss, see if it's easier to reduce his health or his posture to 0 and play according to that.

How get?
What am I supposed to do? I just got to fountainhead and that was it.

Gonna need some Owl 2 tips right now
>inb4 git gud

Drunkard is easy once you realize you can literally just stand there and deflect/block attacks made with the sword bigger than you, even though it feels wrong coming from Souls games.
He also has massive openings when he buffs up his sword or starts vomiting.

If youre a pussy then theres a samurai dude hiding in the grass in front of the boss that you can "summon" to carry you through that fight

3 dragonrots is nothing, you can fix it easily

In the bridge right after the bull fight, on your left facing Ashina castle, there's the prologue area, and in the hole you started the game in you get access to another area.

I meant where you start the prologue, in ashina castle, there's a bonfire called ashina reservoir, it's in the area where you first start the tutorial and meet kuro, so you can go back to the hole you started the game in.

Attached: 1516875911082.jpg (1200x787, 410K)

>even though it feels wrong coming from Souls games.
What ? Literally every Souls game lets you block or parry attacks made with weapon two times your size.

Yashariku's Sugar.

you got far enough to have an ability to beat him

How to win at Sekiro:

>run to boss

>wait for attacks

>pre-spam L1 to avoid "surprise" attacks

>L1 spam on incoming attacks

gg, you win

if you dodge or run you are playing the game wrong. L1 spam is the key to victory. If you dodge anything, the posture bar goes down. Just spam parry and R1.

how the fuck to I get up there?

Attached: sekiro_2019_03_30_21_22_27_211.jpg (1920x1080, 1.71M)

Jesus, how are you supposed to memorize this shit when you only play occasionally?

spamming gets you maybe 50% actual deflects

having memory longer than of a goldfish?

Try to eavesdrop on Kuro and Emma.

Also don't worry, everything is ok until the end of the Fountainhead when you press "pray". After that, the game locks you out of those bosses + endings.

>roll from Havel's big attack
>use not that much stamina
>raise your shield up against it
>ohfuck

but you never die. and you can L1 for the actual hits, spam ensures no clean hits.

I play occasionally, I've literally only finished the game today, more than a week from its release and I still know where I started.

Attached: GkerWsK.jpg (500x375, 32K)

go to the back and find a grappling point up to the side

From above. After the dark house with all the feeble nobles look for branches to your right.

Got it, thanks m8. I'll keep an eye out for the pray thing.

I'd say spamming works only on fast series, it fucks you up on owl, isshins, emma, ape both phases, monks.
who the hell does it even work on? genchiiro pewpew attacks and butterfly pewpews?

Yes.

Thanks user.

oh no wait, you have to go underwater

>tfw keep dying to genichiro in the beginning and having to restart the game

h-how do I beat him bros

Attached: 1549301232489.png (619x615, 341K)

When you spam parry the timing required gets tigher and tigher until you're basically having to be frame perfect. Against long combos it's a good way to get your posture broken.

>but you never die
>runs out of posture
>dies
how about you actually play the game?

L1 spam will block 100% of the time

not holding L1 will get you hit 100% of the time

its way more effective to actually time your deflects on nearly every boss

Its not the optimal way of avoiding the attack

Someone never left the tutorial area

FUCK O'RIN

spam L1 before attacks come in, to block "fast" attacks

L1 the hits as they come for others

easiest way to win. abuse the infinite "iframes" on the parry.

Fortunately NG+ presents you with an item that forces you to learn to deflect properly. I got by in my first playthrough by spamming though.

Hard counter him with umbrella on his delayed overhead. Always mikiri his shadowfall obviously. Use shuriken to quickly close gaps. Stay offensive, if he's just slowly walking just go up and start attacking. You have to get in the rhythm of trading deflects and counters back and forth.

Umbrella and shuriken are definitely my favorite tools. They're pretty much both universally usefull. Shuriken are your basic bread and butter and chasing slice is excellent. You really don't even need tools though. Just know that perilous attacks are pretty much always opportunities to deal damage in this game. The only annoying thing owl2 has is the firecrackers.

it works only vs long combos, it's easy to do free deflect whole combo slow series with mismatched timings is where spamming kills you.

Baskethead at the Mibu house told me the hunter Inuhiko is an outcast and doesnt get any sake, so I thought there'll be a sane NPC to learn info from. But his house is ambushed by like 20 enemies if you approach it and Inuhiko is nowhere to be seen. There's not even any worthwhile items about. What's up with that?

Attached: michael.jpg (600x600, 44K)

unironically do what the other guy is trying to meme, tap L1

Tips for Demon of Hatred? Destroying me atm

Consider backing up your save file so you don't have to restart the game everytime.

I have reached the final boss and killed all the remaining mini bosses, only need 1 prayer bead for an upgrade, any secret locations or something where I could find it?

This

There's a grapple point to the left you can use to escape. Alternatively, you can jump down and mind control one of the bell dudes. You CAN kill everyone there, just takes a while.

That doesn't really work for me, she just destroys my posture and gets 1-2 hits in everytime.

I hope nobody here plays the game on easy mode

Attached: spring_loaded_fire_cracker1.jpg (200x200, 7K)

>There's not even any worthwhile items about.
except for upgrade material for one of top 3 prosthetic

The worthwhile item is the resin on his roof.

Apparently the hunter was the guy spouting poison at you at the beginning of the village, near the memorial mob.

have some posture sugar handy... and divine confetti... and the terror gourd. fuck me the game is tedious sometimes

I do, pity you cant use them on headless.

simply time it on frame, get used to timing, don't forget to jump on her head when she sweeps

You should stay close if you can, but let him come to you. If you run to him from too far away he'll pull some attack which will likely destroy you.

Don't bother trying to parry his stomps, he does far too few attacks anyway. Just chip away at his health.

1) STAY ON HIS ASS AT ALL TIMES, keep rotating to his ass and hitting whenever he faces the other way
2) when you see the perilous attack popup, JUMP, you will dodge every time
3) if he fucks off, don't go to him like a retard, bait his fireball sweep attack first as well as his karate chop
4) if you do it right you only have to deflect his stomp

1) when he's just chilling, run up to him and r1. he's bad at blocking
2) dodge to the right after he throws gunpowder for easy punish
3) when he charges the big overhead slash you can hit him twice then dodge and hit more
4) phase 2, jump the phoenix then mikiri his shadowrush
5) throw firecrackers, move behind him, slash at his back for easy vit damage (works on everyone)

>Thread number 200+, in less than a week
>STILL needing help, when literal twitch streamer fags and youtube homos finished all 4 endings
Is Yea Forums truly the most baby mode zone?

Attached: 488.gif (640x266, 3.26M)

Thanks. Some of his attack has great opening and I have been exploiting that but how he chain his attack is kind of hard to anticipate. I can only block or deflect a blow and retreat after all.

His fight is not tedious. What tedious is I have to clean those mobs around him in stealth every time I start over.

>Yea Forums actually having discussions for a change
>a bad thing
go be a faggot somewhere else.

Spamming L1 makes the parry window smaller. It's better to hold block, and if you see a slow attack let go for a second and parry.

if you run in circles on Isshin then you are a mongoloid

>tfw owl is gonna make dragonrot all over the populace

Where to get monkey jutsu

take your handholding where you belong in /vg/

I was missing one too, it was in the attic above where you first meet Tengu.

>everyone is on Yea Forums all the time
Know how I know you're a loser?

How the fuck do I kill Isshin? Phase 2 and 3 in particular.

i guess you just want to meme, don't you? there's a place called reddit that you'd enjoy

nioh actually has more enjoyable boss battles

never thought i'd say that

Memorize his patterns, when you see his arms move, press L1

Shed your worldy desires.

Isshin is hard because there's no secret trick to beating him

Can anyone give me the SHA-256 hash of their Codex .iso? I want to make sure my shit is legit.

Attached: 1538401893949.jpg (512x512, 145K)

I'm actually really exclusively using shuriken and spear throughout all my playthroughs. Shuriken and its followup is good for closing distance and spear does good posture damage aside from bringing enemies towards you. And generally cool-looking strikes
>spear pulls out the centipede out of Ape's neck for insane posture damage

just run away lol

I just killed a merchant in the flashback. Am I fucked?

>spear pulls out the centipede out of Ape's neck for insane posture damage
oh snap, trying that.

> genichiro readies thunder
> I jump
> thunder wrecks me mid-air and my corpse falls limp on the floor
Where am I failing Yea Forums?

How do I fight 7 Spears honorabry? I beat mada mada so I can deflect and dodge just fine, it's just that fuckheug attacks trigger my MonHun instincts so I shift into patience mode which is obviously not the name of the game here. Does he have a baitable counter? If I know I can just stay in his face I'll be fine but his dumb giant spear psyches me out

>apparently eavesdropping Kuro is required to unlock something
>never had any prompts to do that, even though I was looking for it
>already killed the tree dragon and castle is burning

Am I fucked g-guys

Attached: comment_dvVEEYtxxaX7Xz6MyK0EyyJYEE5T5lNh.jpg (224x225, 9K)

too early, wait 0.3s more

Mikiri2win

Well, he'd sell a shuriken upgrade later, so you've fucked up your tools upgrading alright. Also, if you'd helped him out, he would've started selling a lot of upgrade materials.

Are you properly attacking as you're nearing the end of your jump ?

Are you also dodging/parrying the sword/arrowhead he's using to summon thunder ?

temple box gets that upgrade

Phase 2 is the hard part.
There really is no trick to it, you just have to learn his combos and counter appropriately.

Phase 3 however is different.
You can play it like phase 2, or you can bait out his lightning attacks to throw back at him.

If you don't know how to do that, you jump in the air when he uses lightning, and if it hits you, you press R1 to throw it back at him to do damage and stun him for like 5 seconds.

Yes. Was in the same situation.

It's a bummer but the bosses are still there, focus your frustration at them.

i beat genichiro's tomoe phase by being a spammy faggot and i don't feel like I deserved it

if you touch the floor you eat shit

you have to have enough time to get hit and then attack afterwards

Why would you play in windowed mode anyways? It always causes problems with games

Attached: 1528947563049.webm (1920x1080, 1.12M)

Attached: pleasee respond.jpg (750x750, 189K)

Just beat her being super aggressive, parrying some of her attacks, jump-kicking her slashes, and throwing shurikens at her in the air. I went up against Gyoubo for the first time immediately afterwards, and he was piss-easy in comparison.

yep, happened to me as well

I guess I have a reason to play ng+ now

spam is literally sekiro combat in a nutshell user.

if you missed a boss your character is PERMANENTLY crippled by not having the extra attack power from that boss' memory
better start a new save file desu

Owl falls to his knees and begs bor mercy, is happy when you attack
You cheeky motherfucker.

His mikiri counterable is delayed slightly, so wait a moment after he readies the attack before you actually counter it. Also, he often tries to punish your counter, after which you can get in one more deflect to knock him off balance.

Perilous stab: delay, counter, deflect, punish. If he lunges back instead of responding just let it go.

Otherwise, just learn his moves.

I have the same problem. Using a ds4, on pc as well, Idk what to do, even using the mouse, it doesn't trigger the animation instantly, makes parrying literally a guessing game. pls help.

Attached: 1553236667711.jpg (774x1033, 80K)

can I fuck off from mibu village and try finding the everblossom or do I have to finish mibu first

There's 4 endings it's not a big deal to miss them

holy shit that was amazing, thanks user
turns out I wasnt blocking mid-air

The everblossom will find you.

What is it with this game and missing shit. I fucked up the blackhat badger quest by not meeting him in a cave and this ending. Way too obscure even by souls standards.

I know right!? If only there was some sort of containment board that allowed you braindead retards to access a longer lasting, slower posting and consistent thread that covers the exact topic
>>/vg/
I want to educate you early summer faggots on where to post before you retard the rest of v

Attached: 1504849777534.jpg (600x402, 40K)

Yeah no problems there, I found him on accident last night and I mikiri'd him 4 times but then I got smug and he sweeped me, fuck me sweeps can be tricky
Can he be interrupted during his big flourish-into-downswing? I see him do that and I back up which is a bad idea, but deflecting it rapes my posture.
I've read that firecracker lives up to it's OP reputation against him too, I'd test this but I'm at my grandma's away from my XB1.

I do'nt think you can get locked out of a boss, except Owl 2 and Demon of Hatred can't be fought in the same playthrough (I think?)

Stop complaining about video game threads on Yea Forums.

When is the best time to cure dragonrot?

I've just been soaking up deaths and not giving a fuck about it because I'm just trying to advance the main game.

piss off newfag

Lazulite sabimaru, axe or flame?

Only when you want to progress a questline for a particular npc that's sick.
Otherwise, you don't need to.

You’re better than me. I can’t get past the drunk. I even tried to cheese him but I can’t backstab him no matter what I try he always alerts and turns around before I can do it

Sabimaru, the others are more apparition-focused

I'd take the axe if you're going into NG+

>except Owl 2 and Demon of Hatred can't be fought in the same playthrough
That's wrong, I did just that.

Yes. It's necessary for the Return ending.

you can get locked out if you don't do the prerequisites for the other ending while going for the canon best ending and finish up fountainhead.

If you do it right, you can do every boss in the game and have 40 beads

Owl 2 is optional anytime, basically G rank Butterfly, Demon will always be available so long as you let Ashina burn

What the fuck is Rot essence, what the fuck is Unseen Aid

As an owner of 144hz monitor, I disagree with you - lots of 60fps games (imcluding Sekiro) have pretty nasty ghosting issue in fullscreen mode while it works perfectly in windowed

No, simply because you're a degenerate weaboo

SHOULD I buy this game for BASE PS4? Is it even playable on that shit console? details or experiences about playing it on a base ps4 would be appreciated. And before anyone asks, no I can't play it on my potato pc.

well, almost every boss except the ones from the bad ending

Rot essence is aids people get when you die. Unseen Aid is a chance you won't lose all your nippon dollars and xp from the level you're on when you die, diminishes the more you die. Counter goes up only after true death (spawn back at the bonfire), not on the first.

Basically the game's way of telling you don't be shit.

It ain't legit, it's pirated, you dum-dum

>Several threads LITERALLY designed for Spoonfeeding.
This is literally anti-Yea Forums....
I guess everyone here is fresh from Facebook or R*ddit. This is insane. I don't think you realize how much our own culture is being degenerated by these Outsiders

has nothing to do with that, I just do a lot of other things besides gaming, complex actually brain taxing stuff, because I'm not a retard like you lol.

then get it on ps4
definitely worth it if you like FROM games.

I'm on a 1050ti and it runs smooth as fuck.

Backseat mod harder twinkie.

WHAT ARE THE BEST SKILLS FOR MID AND ENDGAME

Attached: 1476663163327.gif (600x600, 1.96M)

Well, when there's a lot of action on screen, it does drop below 30fps, but overall playable I'd say, pretty much the same as bloodborne
youtube.com/watch?v=r-kR9CcnW4w

Guys, do I help Kuro, or keep the shinobi code and protect him?

The people who come to these threads for help would google the answers anyway if they couldn't ask here, so what does it matter?

I’m playing on a ps4 slim and getting my shit pushed in but maybe I just suck idk

Getting to that place was such BS. Just make it hover higher above the water if you dont want us to get up there from the water instead of just not putting any hookshot points

Fuck Yea Forums

Stay with Lord Kuro or you get the shit ending.

Im not reading all that bullshiy but I downloaded a some software to unlock the framerate from nexus and it fixed my problems (terrible blur, fps cap and non existent fullscreen windowed mode, I mean what the fuck from is not 2007 anymore)

Im playing this game in a 'green' card GeForce 750ti and a first generation i7 with 8GB ram, and it works flawlessly,

But user, it's a Japanese game. We're all weebs here.

I want to make sure my copy is legitimately illegitimate.

Attached: weeb hello jap.jpg (960x547, 53K)

Even without firecrackers I can wreck ape one, but I can't fucking read his second form at all. About the only attack I can discern is his head coughs up blood before you even get the danger icon which lets me run out sooner, but everything else just leaves me baffled if I should parry or dodge.

here's how it runs on base ps4

Was the folding screen monkeys boss fight supposed to be a puzzle?

literally kys, cancer

PSA: Man Without Equal achievement needs to be done on the same save file, so at least NG+.
You might also need to do that for Height of Technique, since Old Isshin drops a unique combat art, unobtainable otherwise, in case it's required.

Attached: 1383751671286.jpg (480x640, 48K)

Yes lul

I didn't figure it out at all.
I just ran around and killed them as I found them like a total brainlet and beat it in like 20 minutes.

ok, i'll think about it some more, but i will probably just get it for ps4. Considering that If I wait until I can buy a better pc to play it (which might take years) my hype for it will probably fade away like it happened with so many other games.

You're meant to parry, but I had a really difficult to near impossible time managing it myself. Ended up fighting phase 2 like a Bloodborne boss and had a sliver of health left, no heals at the end.

Learn the parry timings if you can; barring that just hit and run.

Download it from Skidrowrealoaded, got mine there and it works

When I give the poisoned bait to the carp, can I still somehow get the scales from the attendant?

So these illusions aren't affected by the snap seeds i guess?

Attached: sekiro 2019.03.30 - 21.08.22.09.DVR.webm (1280x720, 2.84M)

No, but you do get something else from him.

You have to find the carp's body first though.

if you pry them from his cold dead hands

1st phase there's no cheese. Just git gud. I found hugging him while moving/dodgi g left was best to avoid many attacks.
2nd and 3rd phase the cheese is boring. Just run. Keep running. He'll do a jumping hit followed by one of 2 dash attacks. Hit him there. You can also hit him after he does ichimonji (not too fast, or he'll do another one). He'll also do a combo that ends in a thrust, you can hit him there. Overall the fight will last like 15 minutes, but it'll be easy.

So which one do I get then

Flame vent.

That works and is not just a meme? Is there any downside to killing him?

Whichever you use more honestly.

I didn't take the sabimaru, but apparently the lapis version poison is pretty good.
I took the axe for ezmode apparitions.

Holy fuck user, I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything there

Attached: snek.jpg (445x454, 58K)

Did you know that playing normally makes everything more easy? I cleared the game with a 6 hours at the last boss with running around in circles, I had to max focus for 20 mins to pull it off. Now with new game plus 1, I did his fight in 10 mins or so with 1 hour practice. Jesus.

>trying to beat genichiro on NG+ with hardship debuff
>he does his jump air downslash
>if I swing to punish he does a thrust which I have no time to mikiri or otherwise avoid
>if I don't punish he just sits there and doesn't do the thrust so I can mikiri it
what do I do

Parry everything for second form except the bloody roar and the high as fuck jump (it's a low sweep attack), he carries a sword for a reason. Bait an attack and run far away to see the combo string he does, parry according to that rhythm. Sometimes he ends his combo with a huge windup and smash down, parrying that makes him fall down for a few seconds and leave him vulnerable to attacks. You can also use the spear prosthetic on his neck to pull our his pilot

you can cheese his first phase like so.

Attached: sowrdsaintt.webm (960x540, 2.95M)

shuriken, it's your most used prosthetic after all

ohnonno
look at this dude

wait, I just beat a ghost version of that guy in mibu, how much tougher is that corrupted monk

>this whole post
niggerfaggot, you weren't here during early DS, DaS help threads and your shit opinion doesn't matter now

Same thing happened to me when I was fighting Genichiro on NG+

I have 60k seen from farming skill points (not done, sadly.) What do I spend them on?

I got shuriken a while ago, I'm deciding on which will be my 2nd lazulite upgrade before I go ng+

>jump deathblow on phase 1
>jump deathblow on phase 2
>abuse firecrackers on phase 3
Well, not particularly hard

Attached: 15337341386850.jpg (246x223, 48K)

It has 3 healthbars but you can skip the first 2. The third phase is a slightly tougher version but it's easier overall since you only really have to fight 1 health bar. If you decide to fight it without stealth its a bit harder overall but you can just apply what you learned to beat corrupted monk and you won't have trouble.

Get fucking dunked on faggot.

What does the big guy mean by spririt away

What I did was making a few hits and then block spamming, she usually attacks after I attack 2 times
When she's on the air, use the shuriken. When she does the unlockable attack (the one where she crouches), double jump on her
Also ignore the illusions, just run like an autist

Can you kill the 2nd white snake?

did I do something wrong by getting the stone from mibu

Attached: 20190330163037_1.jpg (1280x720, 183K)

Does anyone know if the red lumps you get from Doujun's quest line have any special effects or other uses?

Attached: 1507171883400.jpg (700x966, 642K)

WHAT ISU WINDORU BORDERRESUU?

Attached: 4bKISUR.png (197x223, 62K)

Then don't punish and wait for other opportunities, either way he will like do either the unblockable slash or the thrust 90% of the time, IF you deflect his plunging attack.

Nah, its a story thing

No, you just progressed the main story. The game areas have stages based on your story progression, especially the Castle.

Nope. Now the fun begins. Go to the dungeons and fight your way to the castle.

Easier because at that point you're a powerhouse, even if the monk has 3 bars and you decide not to stealth her.

Suck it old man.

>yfw the first time this happened

>THIS IS ONLY HAPPENING IN SEKIRO, NOT ONE OF THE 387 OTHER STEAM GAMES i OWN EXPERIENCE INPUT LAG (including the Souls games and even Nioh - I just tested these out last week) - it's not the contoller

I take it you also got the Lotus Flower and Mortal Blade?

hope you like purple niggas

You will get a prosthetic tool later on that you can use on him.
You'll know what it is when you find it.

This fight is literally the most souls scrub-friendly, there's a fucking NPC summon ready to go, and you still fuck up? Just run around, take out small enemies one by one, then run away on the other side of the pond to de-aggro fatty, then get behind and backstab him, rush to the friendly dude and gank him

Attached: 1553157030104.jpg (457x480, 26K)

Is the story good this time around or it's another one that just throws everything at the wall and hopes Reddit pieces it together like Bloodborne and Souls?

60k sen* woops

It's pretty good.

Infinitely easier to follow than Souls.

Does this happen to anyone else when they try to target something that's just out of range? The camera just spins around for some reason.

I was getting raped by this when fighting owl. he did the smoke screen thing, i tried to target him but instead turned 180 degrees around and got raped in my anus.

Attached: sekiro 2019.03.30 - 21.28.36.10.DVR.webm (1920x1080, 2.88M)

The sen thrower prosthetic tool.

I wonder how much damage it does with that much.

the camera turns to point in the direction wolf is facing

Can I not fight 3 people at once? Do I literally have to stealth an entire area to somehow force 1on1 fights. Man that's tgay as hell

You're centering the camera behind you when there's nothing to target.

ofc, i'm stupid. i wish you didnt have to have it on the same buttons.

Speed runners are using divine confetti on regular bosses, does it do more damage for all/

Just beat Isshin, he seemed impossible at first but like any good boss just took some time to study his moveset.
Great fight overall.
I also got the homecoming ending which is apparently the best one and supposed to be "hidden"?
I just talked to every NPC and explored everywhere thoroughly so I was kinda surprised this ending is special in a way.
Definitely going for another playthrough with a different answer to Owl now.

Attached: sen toss.webm (1280x720, 2.86M)

Learn to parry and go for the offensive immediately after. Also learn how to tell when she parried you so you know when shes gonna go on the offensive

Attached: a.webm (700x394, 2.81M)

Yeah deflecting his anti-mikiri is my main strategy right now, I'm just trying to work up the nerve to rush in past that damn spear, I know I can interrupt one of two of his attacks but not consistently so I can't tell which ones

What do

Attached: 1524667261310.jpg (1280x720, 139K)

you run out of posture within seconds if you spam l1 on late game bosses

kek, what a piece of garbage

why is it that terrible?

You'd be surprised but very little. I don't know if it's intentional or not but even with 60k seen it does less damage than a sword strike. Also it's short range.

pet

lock on

Help me out with these combat arts, I feel like I'm fundamentally misunderstanding them because most of them feel like trap choices.
>Whirlwind: meant for groups but only hits to the front and comes out too slow for most groups past the first quarter of the game
>Floating Passage: like Whirlwind but fast enough to actually use in exchange for dealing less damage than you could R1 out in the same time
>Nightjar: great gap closer with acceptable damage
>Shadowrush: nightjar but costs emblems
>Ichimonji: basically a stamina recovery move?
>Ashina cross: like whirlwind but less area and even slower, and also costs emblems?
>mortal draw: like ashina cross but you get it for free?
>all the monk shit: basically only there for a laugh
>all the end game ones: emblem costing versions of everything else?
Am I wrong on any of these? It really feels like there's no reason to use something other than nightjar or ichimonji depending on whether or not your enemy likes to move around, until you're swimming in emblems and then you just maybe use shadowrush instead of nightjar.

Do exactly what you're thinking.

>Ashina spears 2 electric boogaloo
>move out onto the nearby branch so they can't flank me
>sword guy just falls off
I guess that works too

Lock on, jump down, deathblow

Man up and stab that son of a bitch!

I'm rushing through the game to get the whistle so I've skipped a decent bit. Right now I'm trying to find the way from the Poison Pool to the Bodhisattva Valley, but I can't seem to find it. Also, I'm dreading the fuck out of this monkey fight considering how "underleveled" I am right now... Only at 12 Vit and 3 Att.

just beat Ishinn Sword Saint, thanks for those threads, some advices were good

What is the coolest combat art and why is it One Mind

Ichimonji is a posture destroyer move, plus good damage if it's unblocked.

Monk punches do good posture damage, and apparently the kicks do huge posture damage if you use it to punish sweep attacks.

Mortal draw has the highest damage of all, and if I'm not mistaken, it will do damage even if blocked, though less.

shadowrush is unblockable so it's free damage on bosses that just stare you down (like Isshin)

Yes.

return is the best ending

Took me a long time. Congratulations.

bullshit

because it's ripped off from a superior game

based reddit poster

For the most part, right.
The dragon flash you get from beating SSI is pretty good. Deals a lot of damage and has a lot of range. When I was fight the alternative final boss. Since he only walked, I found out that I could spam the flash attack from a distance and he just eats for about a fifth of his health. I haven't tested out the other combat art. A lot of people like shadowrush because, compared to nightjar, it gives a lot of range. Monk moves are good for early game.

it's literally a strat speedrunners use to get into monkey valley

Its coherent and leaves barely room for speculation for the mainstory. Speculation only really exists for "characters" like Tomoe or the sleeping girl at the dragon.

>cruising through NG+
>get to Genny
>suddenly forget how to kill him
Welp

I'm gonna bet Tomoe is a boss fight in the DLC

Does jumping give you any i-frames?

I'm betting Tomoe is going to be a DLC boss.

Well yeah its pretty obvious. She's Sekiros Artorias.

No, the only iframes you can get are if you deathblow someone midcombat.

You do not take any damage until the animation is finished.

the ogre fight is bad

What are the speculations for dragon girl ?

>death symbol
>blow doesn't kill you
explain this SekGen

>get like 3 uses of those
>doesn't even take him to half health
good strat

everyone keeps kicking me it hurts

My personal theory is that she was like the Rice Loli in the Return Ending and brought the dragon to Japan.
Or it could be much more simple and she's just a bridal offering from Mibu Village.

Isshin phase 2 is cancer

Yep, any time he starts up a grab basically just hold backwards and mash jump and hope the hitboxes co-operate. Block everything else as he has no punishes for getting posture broken and attack super sparingly.

it's Tomoe she tried to get dragon tears but lost to the meme boss

15/3 = 5. With oil he staggers in 1 hit. With 5 staggers you barely have to avoid any of his attacks. His attacks are not that hard to avoid. get fucking good

???

>Sword Saint
>Pulls out a spear and a fucking pistol

Cloud Passage is shit

?

the game also tells you that tomoe is buried at the castle

do dragonrot people eventually die? did I fuck up by curing it right away?

I hope you're still here, OP. Go to device manager, go under software devices, and disable Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator.
This solved the issue for me. I tried every other "fix" that people told me to try and nothing else worked.

No just proceed with the story. The next time she opens her doors for you.

that's supposed to happen
she'll let you back in eventually

No and no.

literally impossible...

Attached: 20190330210514_1.jpg (1920x1080, 140K)

Because it's not even worth testing.
It needlessly eats spirit emblem every swing while being barely better than floating passage.
Shadowrush meanwhile is one of better combat art in game, alongside d ichimonji and high monk.

DO IT!

>Going through the water tunnel place
>Suddenly a random ghost thing spawns near the elevator

>mfw fighting giraffe

Attached: fucking invincible.jpg (584x622, 118K)

I'm at my wits end, I have no fucking clue where to go, it's all dead ends. There's a monk boss, and a monkey boss? And someone called snake eyes? And I'm supposed to sever the immortal ties, but there is literally nowhere to go.

Gorilla going APE on DSP

how about you beat the fucking bosses and see what you get from them

I can't FIND anymore bosses, nigger.

Not even. Most of the skills in the last style are bad simply because they have too long startup, too long of recovery.
Empowered Mortal Draw barely adds bit of damage while you are stuck charging for almost double duration, and you don't even have armor or anything. They're can be fun to use but not effective. I don't know about Shadowfall so I can't comment on it.

I'll try this, as it's definitely something no one's mentioned.

But... what exacry does this do?

You can usually zerg down trash mobs even in higher numbers. But if there are even a couple of "elite" mobs there who don't die in just few hits you are in trouble.

>this headless thing in a pitch black cave

am I going the right way, or is this something optional I'm supposed to come back to? I get slowed when I'm in that area and I get hit with that terror effect almost instantly and die.

I haven't even beaten any "real" bosses yet.

your sword, seriously by the end you had better mastered your sword, mikiri, sweep attacks, and especially lightning counters, parry timings of different enemies, etc

the sword is the main focus, the prosthetic tools will lead you astray, do not rely on them, they're literally flair you spam in the temple after each upgrade and then forget about them.

Attached: 1542386841118.jpg (2000x1500, 955K)

You can come back. I got stuck at the same place Backtrack and go across the bridge to fight the armored guy

That's optional. You don't need to fight those until the end of the game when you have tools to help with it. The correct path forward is off the back of the cliff past the sword general that was after chained ogre. there's an idol there

I just spammed grappling hook during that

I'm fighting corrupted monk, the boss directly after o'rin. Is there any tactics to make the fight easier? Is there an item that's good to use against apparitions besides confetti?

It's optional.

From the cliff where all the mobs are, look on the left of the bridge, there's the actual path

Just beat the centipede guy in the gun fort trying to rush my way to the whistle tool. Did I need to pick up some sort of key somewhere in order to progress forward or is there another path?

In the end, what the fuck did Genichiro want? Immortality? He already can resurrect just like wolf

Attached: file.png (250x408, 124K)

Can anyone comment on that? Is Shadowfall any good?

throw firecrackers at it

spam firecrackers between 2-3 swings. other than that just learn the moveset and whittle her down slowly, you don't need confetti.

Snap Seeds, Pocket Sand (for real, it helps), Fire Crackers, Confetti. Just hack away at her health until she's at least at half, then you can start parrying to build up posture damage on her.

Yes, once Lord Kuro moves to the library in the Castle, then you can find the key.

That won't happen until after you speak with Isshin though I believe.

You can use snap seeds on her for a stun and some damage, but sometimes they'll just not do anything so it's probably not worth trying it.

then go explore, nigger

He wanted to protect his homeland.

how blind are you?
the monkey and monk are impossible to miss

He wanted an army of Immortals. I feel like everything could have been resolved if someone told him about Dragonrot.

muh ashina

>Ash-- ina...
>Ashina will not be crushed!
>I will have any heretical strength to save Ashina.

Are you okay user?

Attached: bully.webm (900x506, 2.95M)

But you can so that just by pressing R2, does the spin do extra posture damage or something, I haven't noted any differences.

To save Ashina from the Ministry.

The way he's using to be immortal is imperfect and is corrupting him, hence his body being visibly charred. I don't get why he spilled Kuro's blood in the basic ending though.

made me chuckle

super easy underwater, don't even need any consumables. just swim around him, wait for the wave attack and strike him twice.

What exactly is happening here, anyway?

brutal anal rape

R2 to unfold it, L1 to parry any number of attacks while it's unfolded. Costs emblems though.

it looks fine in fullscreen with a 144

Fuck, I'm guessing that means I'll have to go back and do shit. I've only done the first two bosses (Lady Butterfly being one of them). Guess I've gotten a little ahead of myself.

i cant for the life of me learn to jump instead of dodging. the muscle memory from the souls series and my age just make it feel like its impossible. it's fine when its bosses who does either sweeps or thrusts. but when it's both i just cant fucking learn. if they had some sort of system to tell other than a couple of frames of animations before the attack, like a red symbol for thrust, and blue for sweep, i might have it a bit easier. god the end game is just fucknig my shit up.

My guess is he needed his blood to get Isshin out of the Underworld or Fushigiri wouldnt activate. His monologue sounded like that.

Where did the rice loli go!?

It's only the Sunken Valley that is hard gated by story progress. You can explore the other routes all the way to the end.

31 yo with the same issue. I feel your pain bro...

Like I said, you can parry with R2, spins does nothing different as far as I can tell.

Vietnam

did you go past the castle yet? cause that's when you actually learn to play.

generally if an enemy moves his weapon from the side, it's gonna be a sweep, so jump, if it's in center, mikiru

Well I went to the poison pool but didn't see any path that led to the monkey's area, so I figured that is a one way route unless I was mistaken.

English version is superior.

Japanese believe your soul is in your ass
So he rips out your soul and puts it in his ass

Based. Inb4 "you eren't cultured. patrician's taste".

bros, I thought you told me NG+ would be boring as fuck cause no new shit, why am I having a blast?

take the plunge you won't die

it has longer deflect frames ya dingus

Well, you don't need to unfold it again every time, so you don't risk getting hit while it's no active, and you can counterattack with R1 after you're finished parrying at no additional emblem cost. Plus if you deflect some projectiles it will power up the counter.

>highmonk: hardcounters ANY sweep, lesser version leaping kick
>double ichimonji: posture destroyer and restore, GOAT
>gimmick: mortal draw against specific enemies does hueg damage
>early game-tier: nightjar, whirlwind
>endgame ones
>shadowfall is actually an upgraded version of rush, great followup
>judgement cut end lite if unblocked does huge vit damage
>haven't found use for the other ones

>generally if an enemy moves his weapon from the side, it's gonna be a sweep, so jump, if it's in center, mikiru
Nah. they start tricking you more and more the further you go. Many times it looks like a thrust. Enemy is running towards you with his spear infront. then when he reaches you he sweeps. Alot of feigning attacks. going slowly indicating a late parry, and then just speeding up. it's less about feeling when the attack is going to hit. and more learning when each and every attack is supposed to be parried.

It feels like ~3 snap seeds is the max. After that she will ignore them. If they always worked it would be way too good with the stun + dmg combo.

how do i kill the enemies that are stationary and puke up bugs, they come back to life after a few seconds

>listening to Yea Forums on fun

Just beat Isshin bros. it was such an amazing fight holy shit I'm so fucking hyped!!

Ignore them, they cant be killed yet.

you don't yet

Do you have the mortal blade, the flower or the stone yet? Any of these?

>According to Japanese folklore, the human soul exists as a small hardened magical ball within the anus known as 'shirikodama' (尻子玉 - literally 'small anus ball').
>Tales tell of lake-dwelling monsters known as 'kappa' who try to kill you by 'extracting' your shirikodama if you dare venture into their lake.

Wtf do I do with 60k sen?

I've said it a few threads back already, NG+ is where the fun actually begins
You basically have every boss's moveset down to memory, now to actually clash swords WITHOUT the trial and error again
Watch as you discover new strat, bully some of the ones you had trouble in NG, skip anyone you don't like
>tfw NG+6 and still want to replay some of the bosses

Are the Ashina Depths optional? Just did Mt. Kongo, thinking about doing it before going to Sunken Valley but not sure

>optional
No

I dumped my sens on Ungo and Ako sugars
Ungo broker sells
Ako Anayama sells
>tfw 680 Ako and 470 Ungo
Can basically refresh it everytime it runs out against bosses

whos giraffe

Fuck Demon of Hatred. Almost the whole game is about deflecting, then here comes this asshole with elemental damage. That shit just goes through. I managed to kill him but even now I'm not 100% sure how to dodge some of that shit he throws, I just try to keep close so he doesn't throw those fireballs or do the fire-whip.

No.

obviously a centipede

it's generally recommended to do sunken valley > ashina depths but I think you can do those two in any order.

You can't get to the Folding Screen monkeys until you've rescued Kuro too

Do Sunken Valley first. Depths suck.

So what when you have anal sex then

>am I missing something

yes common sense. there's naturally more than you should ever need so that way players don't need to look up a fucking guide if they look hard enough on their own.

Good idea

I know, but there's literally no more areas to explore in that direction. Just a boss and a key item for the story.

Is there any significance for the Guardian Ape having a centipede inside him, like the Bloodletting Beast in Bloodborne?

I have a theory that Vit upgrades are actually a placebo and it just makes the bar bigger on the bottom of the screen to make you feel safer without actually giving you any more health. Does anyone have proof on this one way or the other?

Attached: CentipedeSamurai.jpg (805x1024, 585K)

You have to have heard the mortal blade story from Isshin to be able to do Folding Screen Monkeys. Otherwise there is one of those immortal monks standing there and no bell to be found. Sekiro tries to talk to the guy but nothing happens.

yea its called git gud

>ceremonial daggers
Why? What were you spamming?

I really like to use ninjutsu/techniques/prosthetics and kind of sort of burn through emblems like a retard that doesn't understand resource management.
Where does one quickly refill on emblems after they've had their fun shoving fireworks up a monkey's ass and lighting them?

>just cured some dragon for
>on my way to the palace
>that gate
This fucking game.

Be aggressive, dodge and parry. She has very short reach so dodge left and right, slashing her 1-2 times after each. She almost never will be able to hit you but if it looks like she might, parry. You will be dealing damage to her and disrupting her attacks using this strategy. If she jumps in the air, throw a shruiken. When second phase starts, wait for her by the statue and start wailing on her, preventing her from summoning for a while. Once she summons, sprint in a circle around the arena until her minions disappear and hide behind a pillar before the magic attack hits.

Yep, if you kill yourself by jumping you lose around 40% of you life no matter how long your bar is.

Since when she does terror

Bosses likely do %+small fixed amount of damage. The Vit upgrades are there so you couldn't completely ignore the fixed portion and play at base HP comfortably through the entire game.

dsp must be the only person on this planet that has more problems with rape ape p2 than p1.

The water from Fountainhead seems to turn people into odd immortal insect-monsters. The Guardian Ape's lair is right under the Fountainhead and the waterwall ends there (the Giant Carp falls down from the Fountainhead and ends up there too). That is how he must have got corrupted.

farm sen on outskirts after ashina burns and buy
>t. 999 emblem at all times
I'm waaay on NG+ though

Unlike very other boss in soulsborne there's no cheap trick that breaks him, you just have to play the game
Incredible, isn't it?

>trying to kill genichiro without taking damage all day
>fail at third phase when he was 2 deflects away from being kill
Fuck my life

Not op but having the same prblem gonna try this?

Centipedes are what make people without your power immortal

The Waterfall comes from the Fountainhead Palace. I guess he was unlucky and took a quicksippy from infested Water

You're fucking their soul.

Whoa, DSP didn't already quit at MADAMADA?

>Play godlike with perfect parries and get the boss posture bar to 99% without getting hit once
>Die
every time

If you're a fucking scrub yeah

Just buy them. In NG+ you end up with thousands of extra sen and nothing to buy. Just get 999 emblems.

Oh yeah, go climb the castle.

literally just spam night jar slash

Yes
However fromsoftware can't design puzzles for shit

how do you bait the lightning? I didnt see it a single time when I beat him

Just run around and keep distance until he uses it.

Phase 3 is ez mode. Backpedal and use reversal when he does a lightning attack.

>anal sex is sacred to the japanese

...

I didnt even understand what I was doing until I rang the bell and killed one. I finished the boss by sheer coincidence and luck.

So what is the point of even getting prayer beads? I'm just going to run by every mini-boss i can now kek.

I dont know what happened on my first FSM fight since I didn't even realize that there were 4 monkeys. On my NG+ run I killed 3 of them and I thought the game bugged. A friend then told me that I still need to kill the invisible one. I Must have accidentally killed it before.

first thing I did after getting the mortal blade was try it out on them but they still came back to life, even with the mortal draw art

but which boss?

double Ichimonji is the best one
does massive posture damage to enemies and recovers your own

Noob here, what's the first real boss?

after you deathblow them wait a few seconds and deathblow them again

A second deathblow prompt shows up after they "die". Click R1 for deathblows.

>phase 2
i gitgud with his sword into spear patterns
alternatively you can bait his various vulnerable moves, namely
>leaping spear
>charge into 2 shockwaves
>ichimonji
>pistol x5 > spam parry since if you parry 2 of them he WILL thrust and it's a free mukiri+ double ichimonji
sprint/dodge to the side then punish ALL of these with charged double ichi
Since he wields a spear, his posture regen slows a fuckton and if you get a few good mukiris and keep pelting him with shurikens no regen for him

I think i somehow killed one by accidentally throwing a shuriken at it. I was aiming for those little cunt monkeys that come after you.

Its not the Mortal Draw. When you deathblow them you get another deathblow prompt but this time with the Mortal Blade.

still a puppy lmao

Lady Butterfly or Genichiro depending on the path you take.

Fucking ACHIEVEMENT MANG! I also don't know if your posture resistance is also "fake" or not, but beads are supposed to increase that too.

oh that works on them too? figured it was just for some bosses. think I only tried a stealth dealthblow and didnt get the 2nd prompt

The horseriding dude. He's not the first boss you can fight, but he's the one you're supposed to beat first

>Kuro is dead
>Ashina is destroyed
>Wolf is a hobo
Well that was only better than Shura s an ending
