In V5 "sanctioned diablerie" is used as a carrot on a stick by the Camarilla to manipulate thinbloods into doing what they want. Usually in cases of blood hunts.
The taint of diablerie would still be seen on you by every vampire, but I guess the Cammies doesn't really give a fuck about thinbloods anyway.

Tremere made themselves extremely useful and that+s pretty much the only reason why they weren't exterminated. Mass Embraces are a common Sabbat tactic during feuds. You embrace a shit tonne of people, give them only the briefest idea of what they've become and what they can do, give them an overarching task with high lethality, and you get to keep those who adapted the fastest or had the most potential. Except it seems your character was found by more moderate Vampires and given directions to join society proper, provided they prove themselves by doing the exact same thing the Sabbat thinbloods have to do as a group.
Ultimately it's pretty much exactly what the Camarilla did with the Childer in Bloodlines 1.

Auspex is shared among a few clans and specific bloodlines. The Specific ability to see Auras is quite basic, only requiring two bloodpoints into the skill. Some Thaumaturgy spells also allow you to see an individuals aura
1 point in Advanced Obfuscation powers allows your to completely hide your aura or make it appear differently than it actually is.
Didn't Assamites join Camarilla in v5? At least the Muslim refugees. Which may also be a gambit on Ur-Shulgi's part by seemingly dividing the clan in two so they have eyes in both camps.

1.2 is still pretty buggy and softlocks or crashes more often. It also has problems with running on modern systems like blurry textures or just not working on Windows 10 at all. No reason to play just with 1.2 unless you really care about seeing the state it was in with the last official patch or are speedrunning.

To be recognized as a clan, you need to have an Antediluvian. Rudi "creating his own clan" despite not having a high generation, and being active on the scene is not a problem. Instead of having abstract elders or Caine, who you never see, and instead having a flesh and blood guy who is going around and doing things is more interesting for the plot.
Instead of the chicago by night "there's these two Methuselahs who are secretly mind controlling all the kindred to fight each other" you have a flesh and blood guy walking around and doing stuff, being simultaneously the weakest "clan head", and simultaneously the most active is a good premise.
