think I'm approaching the end of a ventrue playthrough of VtMB. Chinatown really is the weakest. Very short dungeons that are kind of fine, but the stakes feel so low, and the distance to the main storyline and the sarcophagus is pretty huge. Like around the time of Grouts mansion my hype for this game was through the roof, but since then it's just been a bunch of bullshit. It's the anarch - camarilla shit that matters. Great game tho, hoping for a lot from clan quests.

It's enjoyable, compared to SMT4 it's a lot less sluggish with getting the start over and done with, the story is a bit boring to me but the gameplay is still as solid as SMT4's, I'm on New Game+ at the Fairy Forest so I'll just tell you that the game is enjoyable all-round, some parts may be a bit shit but the game is still entertaining while we wait for SMT V.

it's the best one but people say to start with EU4 because it's hilariously watered down and easy. You'll enjoy it but once you start to enjoy grand strategy and get good at it you'll never wanna play it again, it's just too simple. Only reason I touch it is when I'm doing mega campaigns.

Honestly I'd go against the grain and say start with CK2. It's so fucking good. And when, or I should say if, you finish the campaign you can continue your empire through EU4 and Vic 2 and then Hoi4.

Honestly FFXIV is kind of old school. The game play only comes down to combat. Everything else is story, exploration, looking for things, crafting and getting money, decorating your house and room, leveling your alts, etc.

I think the combat is fucking amazing and challenging but if you wanna play xiv for just gameplay i.e. combat you're gonna get bored fast. And honestly that's the same for all MMOs, it's probably the weakest genre when it comes to gameplay.

At peace. Work is simple physical exercise. I have time to scrape the edges of my mind that I'm curious about. I'm fighting more and more with the person I'm close to, but the spats don't last long and I wouldn't have regrets either way. I just finished the first encounter with Guardian Ape. He took me so much longer than he should have, I was taking too many deflectable hits in his first stage and his second just bored me with its endurance. All in all an easy fight that I stubbornly kept fucking up, kek.
And same, once I mostly unlearned my soulsborne habits the game really picked up. I'm 30 hours in though, no idea if I'm way behind where I should be. I am a notoriously slow soulsborne player the first time around.

Barqs is honestly some of the best. I think there are a lot of soda hipsters out there that hate it just because it's a coke product, but it's so much more flavorful than a lot of the other big root beers. Abita, Dad's, Mug, IBC, etc; threy're all good, but they're mostly just sweet without much flavor.

I'd recommend checking out Virgil's and Harvey Weinhard's. Virgil's in particular is super tasty, got kind of a strong anise flavor. I personally hate black licorice but love anise, so ymmv here.

Yup, I have a fully functional self-sufficient base down in the holy plains, 7 people, 2 animals, I can shove hungry bandits' shit in but with others I have to rely on Ohran's patrols for help, but I'm getting burned out on the game because it is so light on content. If you don't travel to completely different map area all the shops offer the same few selections of items, weapons and armor, there's not much unique stuff, and my main gripe is the almost complete lack of unique dialogues. Even most of unique recruits shut up after they've told you their origin story upon recruitment and never bring anything up. It's a dull world with nothing happening.

First three arcs are generic, but that's to be expected considering they were written in the late 90s/early 2000s. Shit really gets good once you hit the Yorknew City arc. The power system is also really fleshed out and interesting. It's also not terribly long compared to something like One Piece or Jojo.

my bloody valentine red ale by alesmith brewing company. i really wish i knew of it on valentines day because the description on the pint talks about not having a date on vday and i've been alone for the past 3 vdays. fuck 3 years ago the girl i was with didn't want to hang out with me on that vday to instead hang out with her ""friends"". it tastes how i want a red ale to taste and i've got an emotional connection to it now, so as long as my local liquor stocks it, i'll keep grabbing a couple pints every now and then. great staying in beer that pair well with a home cooked meal, preferably pork. this is basically a blogpost, but i beat the watcher in hk and i'm too tired to keep trying hornet outside the kingdom.

blog post or no, I appreciate the reply. red ales can be an acquired taste often best enjoyed with food as you say. Will have to look into that one. As I said before I don't have any ale in but am enjoying vodka and orange juice atm
