Yes but it is incredibly unbelievable for a non Nord race to be blessed with the blood of the divines. I could even see Imperial making sense because of what the other poster said about Imperials and dragon blood or whatever. It just feels wrong to play as anything but a Nord in the game, as opposed to Oblivion you could mostly fill in your own story. Same thing for the most part with Morrowind, although it's suggested that the Nerevarine is an enemy of the summer but there's still a lot more room to fill in your own details.
Same thing with Fallout 4, it's kind of hard to role play as anything but an ex soldier.

I just dumped most of my perk points into the Ordinator Illusion tree and was able to use the calm/fury etc. spells for a while. Doesn't help you against dragons unless you have an awesome companion so I went into Destruction too. You'll want Ghostwalk I think it's called for early access to invisibility but not too many of the other spells are that great from Apocolypse. You can do some cool shit eventually with making a ton of spectral ghost things to fight for you, benefiting from your ally boosting perks and spells. Fury spells making enemies fight themselves has been the most satisfying thing for me in Skyrim so far.

I'm really enjoying the dungeon aspect of Blades.
I'm not sure if the dungeons are randomly generated, but I've explored the same dungeons several times for different quests (albeit with different enemies).
There is an "endless dungeon" mode with increasing levels which is pretty fun but it ramps up in enemy difficulty significantly.

The controls are pretty good, and there are a decent amount of skills/spells/ passives to unlock to make things interesting.

The town building is pretty comfy, and the town itself is much bigger than I thought.

The only downside to the game is the obvious p2w mobile transactions. Throughout the game you loot chests, and open them from the town-hub. The chests are time gates so that the basic chests take 5seconds to open, the 2nd tier takes 3 hours to open, the 3rd tier takes 6hours etc.
Of course you can give Bethesda your shekles to get in game gems to unlock the chests instantly.

Oh and you can only have 10 chests stored at one time! I'm about level 7, and a level 2 town rep and all my chests are level2 now. which means I'm basically forever capped with chests because they take forever to unlock without irl money.

On top of that, the curve for the town levels are ridiculously unbalanced to encourage p2w. The materials needed to build anything once you hit town level 2 skyrocket (and ofc the best way to find materials is from chests...)

I would say f2p players will be timegated several weeks to get to the point that would take p2w players a solid day.

I'm not about to spend any money on the game to encourage Beth greedy practices. But this game is comfy

Been meaning to seriously play Morrowind but I have been busy with university shit.

The truth is much more complicated. Argonians never had a real government and let the Hist to guard the borders using plague and whatever powers they have. Late 3rd era in Black Marsh is characterized by a new interpretation of their relationship with the Hist and a new interest in freedom from the Empire's dogs. They organized a resistance and called themselves An-Xileel. It took the imperial rule in the borderlands of the region to fall for them to become really relevant. With the Oblivion crisis done the argonians started taking over the abandoned institutions and spread deep into the marsh in ways outsiders couldn't since they were not Argonians. As something resembling a coherent government was built, the political platform of revenge against dunmer was built and campaigned for. It was luck that at around the same time dunmer experienced major hardships. An-Xileel couldn't have been ready for war at a better time.

It isn't stated in lore, but I believe Redoran were just lucky to stroll in and take over when the real heroes of the war with An-Xileel were actually Dres who nobly sacrificed most of their people and land to stop argonian armies.

An important thing to note is that the Hist didn't help the invasion and the books contain are hints that the Hist didn't approve of this takeover. Which might've been because the Hist and House Dres had secret agreements, at least if we go by the Tamriel Rebuilt lore. The surprising takeaway is that the Hist no longer rule Black Marsh, but have been relegated to living gods in some kind of a (probably) democratic theocracy. An actual Argonian state is really the most surprising lore we got since Oblivion.

Both novels have to be read back by back since they're one story. They have multiple silly parts and meander at times which is funny because both books are fairly short. There's a modicum of interesting lore that Skyrim leaned on since the lore in the books had to be approved by Todd Howard himself. However, the actual story isn't anything special. There's some Hist trees and the floating city Clavicus Vile unleashed on Tamriel. If that sounds like something you'd enjoy then go for it. The writing style itself is very average and characters aren't too memorable. I liked the ten or so pages spent in Lilmoth so I was satisfied in the end. One of the main characters is an argonian and another a dunmer priest of Azura. If we were to put on a rating books are 3/5
