Let's help raise awareness on this neat survival rpg.
Outward needs more support

You can start by naming one reason why I should play it over the dozens of other "neat survival rpgs".
I'm not your employee, (((bro))).
Nah. Fuck off cunt.
Why don't you drop some names of these other dozens of comparable games user, if you're so knowledge about this apparently vast subgenre.
>get beaten and wake up as slave in a mine
>some chick ask for a dagger so she can escape
>give her the dagger, she thanks me and show me some tricks
>she says she's gonna escape so i just fuck off
>come back 2 min later and she fucking killed herself with the dagger
fucking hell
Minecraft, Rust, DayZ
OP, are you going to start making a case for the game you decided to "raise awareness" for, or are you just mad that you dumped money into some pre-alpha shitshow?
>survival rpg
pass
>tanky mage-knight character
>cast Runic Protection
>run into the middle of a group
>drop some arcane mines on the ground
>everybody explodes
>pick off any survivors with my rune blade
>you have to eat and drink maybe once a day
>survival
If anything it's a oldschool RPG, fucking retards
Well it has survival elements, but "surviving" is not your focus like it would in games like Minecraft.
>he doesn't eat once a day
Do you think your ancestors ate a cheese wheel every hour to keep their energy bar filled?
Should I be selling my gemstones?
Anyone know what kinda stuff you can do with wind sigil and conjure yet?
I just made it to the hermit and have enough dosh on me to pick them all up. Haven't invested any skill points yet.
>those fuckings retards on the steam forum crying because there isn't a magic marker on the map to show them where they are
Holy fucking casual scum
>dead end no content social platforms for poor and autistic
>dozens of comparable games
I don't give a shit about OPs game, it looks stiff and janky, but holy shit.
Yeah, only use i've found for them is opening doors in trog dungeons and the shit behind the doors is seldom worth it.
I'm just pointing out that most "survival" games ask you to eat every 5 minutes. Not that it was realistic. Honestly the "survival" part of this game is just how it should be in a RPG like this one where you're a random dude at the core.
you have to admit she got out
Loving Outward. I'm good enough now I'm ok to join someone's game to help them get started. I still need to go to Levant though so I can get the mage armor created for me there.
Anyone want to co-op? I'll be going to Levant in my own game and once I have the armor to upgrade out of this master merchant basic stuff I'll be good to join.
What is this game structure most similar to? Ultimas? Gothic? Baldur's Gate?
I know the combat is mh or soulslike and there is coop which I will not be doing but I'm somewhat interested when I see people talk about it but I see an equal number of people shitting on it so I've avoided it so far, any reasons as to why other than no quest markers and minimal guidance?
>I don't die any more.
>Won't experience these interesting scenarios.
Goddamn this stupid game making me WANT to lose.
I'm probably getting this game but why isn't there more slots for multiplayer? why just 2?
It's close to Gothic in play style. That's the most comparable. It's almost like if Gothic were a survival RPG.
> >I don't die any more.
> >Won't experience these interesting scenarios.
> Goddamn this stupid game making me WANT to lose.
developers played too much lewd rpgmaker games and expect it of all players it seems.
Holy shit that's the feeling I'm feeling right now.
I haven't played any of those in years, but you're right.
Way to out yourself as a retard.
none of those games are comparable, other than for the fact that you can eat in them
that's like saying morrowind is a "survival" game
>I don't die any more.
every time I start thinking this I get jacked
He's a shill just like for every other game that signed on with EGS, don't be dense user
is this game by the people who made dauntless?
>implying DayZ wasn't actually worse than this when it went from being a mod to a stand alone
is this a real RPG or just an RPG in the sense that you can level up
neither and you don't level up
why the fuck is it being called an RPG then
It's basically DnD but in a video game.
It's a nice little rpg that's just neat :)
It's comfy!
It's a great way to waste what limited and precious time we have on this earth that we could be spending on more fulfilling things, and that's a good thing!
Because its a game and you can role play in it
it's literally not though. there are no levels. there are no classes.
because you accumulate power.
Through buying training for skills and getting better equipment.
>UE4 sandbox openworld surivival RPG
They should shorten the genre name to "Early access garbage"
It feels even worse that i knew that i was getting out anyway. She could have been free, but i failed her. I should have been a selfish prick and keep the dagger for me.
im playing it with a buddy splitscreen and splitscreen isn't bad it's like having an ultrawide monitor each
It's probably made in unity, I recognize one the tree models. It's literally been made by 10 people, ffs.
I'm using splitscreen as a giant on demand backpack
I would say Sacred
Is there an end goal to this game? It looks interesting.
is minecraft an rpg?
If this game had 3 year old japanese anime style girls Yea Forums would be calling it GOTY
pay off your blood debt.
because rpg is a buzzword these days because retards don't know what it means.
i beat the game in 1 day in my second save! :p
Gonna wait for bug patches and/or it goes in sale. But I like what I see and hear. And I hadn't even heard of this shit til yesterday.
yeah you're supposed to collect a certain amount of salt and fish and then the king shows up or something I haven't really been following the story
you accomplish that like 15 mins in if you're a competent player
>UE4
ahahahha you fucking wish
This guy hit the nail on the end this garbage fire is unity, it's like playing breath of the wild if it was made by a unity dev. haahahhahaha
that would require good models something the game sorely lacks.
hate on japs all you want but they make good games
Holy shit this is great
>buy plant tents
>put them literally everywhere
>never be without sleep
There isn't any, really. the game is all about you setting your own goals and fulfilling them in whatever way you can.
>It's not an RPG if there are no levels or classes.
You're fucking retarded.
you what? what about the quests and literally the main story
>sleeping
Nice mana pool you got there.
Is there ever any kind of special pickaxe that weighs less? I'm sick of this 5 pound piece of shit always being in my bag. Come on, give me like a special Mithril 1 pound pick or something.
>main quest that can be failed if you dick around for too long
Sadly Botw has no content, shitty dungeons,no music, 4 enemy types at most and shitty weapons. Also the exploration sucks.
>Max out mana pool at the leyline.
>Have auto-regenerate breakthrough.
>Fucking turmmip soup for days.
>Lots of mana cost reduction stuff.
Caring about mana is so beginner tier.
>Sadly outward has no content, shitty dungeons,no music, 4 enemy types at most and shitty weapons. Also the exploration sucks.
ftfy
>it's not D&D if there are no levels or classes.
maybe you should consider the context fagbreath
i literally stumbled across the layline end just by fucking exploring the first quarter of the starting area.
some people really have no patience...
I dunno if there's a lighter pick
but you can upgrade your pickaxe with rock mantis parts into a mantis greatpick which I think you can still use to mine and it should be a decent weapon.
>Tehehe I got him! He most be so embarassed by now UwU
>he's still replying
I like survival games and all but the combat ruined this for me.
I don't think you can fail, i think at best shit in your world can get worse, but so long as someone didn't make something seem urgent as far as i can tell you can let them sit and spin and do whatever the fuck you want.
there might be hidden quests on timers that start as soon as the game starts, but that's just a assumption on my part
Why? What's it like?
He means he's shit and can't use all the tools given to him to win.
How's magic system? Is there summoning/necromancy? Any succubuses? Can you have a beard? Thsi is important.
>RPG
Not really, it's more of an adventuring sim. There's not even any experience and only a handful of quests in every hub
how do you even have a dagger as a slave then?
I didn't like the combat and thought it was kind of bad.
Makeshift prison shiv.
imagine the most clunky combat you can think of
outward manages to be worse than that
it's still a good game despite that
combat is just clunky and weird.
whether you’re fighting a human or some sort of monster, hitting an enemy multiple times won’t stagger them at all. It’s very strange to hit a man in the face with a sword only for him to continue his attack animation.
Outward has endurance meters that you have to whittle down in order to stun enemies. It’s fine in theory, but it just doesn’t feel very good.
the combat is bad and you’re going to be spending practically all of your time walking from point A to point B. Walking makes up the bulk of the experience.
adapt, improvise, overcome. Also you can just use a pickaxe if you're too dumb to make a dagger.
well can you give that slave pickaxe when she ask for a dagger?
What comes after fang weapons?
Melee combat is fucked,
Traps, Ranged and Magic make up for this.
Playing outward really means you just need to forget everything you know about how action combat works and adapt to the idiosyncrasies it presents. Probably doesn't help it was released close to DMC5 and Sekiro two games that will probably be fondly remembered for their action combat, also doesn't help it's charging around the same price
Ways to circumvent melee chicanery, use a long range weapon like spear, use a BIG two handed club and buff the fuck out of your impact so you stagger people, Shield seems kind of useless, honestly the melee combat is pretty ass until you unlock more skills because auto attacking is just shit.
I could go into more detail but i think it's better you play it, pirate, demo, borrow a friends copy and feel it for yourself, i think late game combat is much better or at least i hope but early game combat is a shame.
It's a great game, but it's really not for the majority of the people. The game forces you to be patient and is built around patience(absolutely no autorun even though maps are pretty big, having to constantly stock up on food and water, having to drop/pickup your bag, having to sleep, being very careful with some encounters, laying down traps, running across the map 2 times because you couldn't bring up all the dungeon loot with you etc) but if you're not a patient person and need gratification every 2 minutes don't even bother playing.
It's the best adventure simulation in any video game I ever played and with all the stuff that is usually done in the background in RPGs. You don't really feel more powerful as you progress, but you do feel more experienced and you learn best way to engage every enemy and are very careful when engaging something new.
I want to stop being poor. How do I acquire currency?
pick shit up and sell it
Everything I pick up is worth like 1 or 2 silver
early on stock up on gravel beetles and blood mushrooms and as many iron scraps as you can manage.
Then go find the bandit fortess to the south of mana mountain and intentionally get yourself enslaved.
Each health potion you make (1 grave, 1 bloodshoom, 1 sip of water) sells for 15 silver to the medic there and you make 3 at a time from the ingredients.
They also buy your iron scraps at 5 silver each.
>kill Pirate skelly
>drops Bread of the Wild
Heh.
Don't listen to any of the retards saying melee is shit because it's not, at least the two handed weapons aren't. Funny enough melee has the highest learning curve because you not only need to learn how best to use the weapon, you also need to learn how each enemy behaves and they're almost all different.
Compliment melee with some traps and a ranged weapon, even a bit of magic for an extra oomph. Spears are easiest to learn how to use and are great because enemy can't trade blows with you, Hammers are slow and clunky but annihilate enemy poise, Axes are highest damage, best combo and good poise break, Two-hand Swords have a nice heavy attack overhead slash that actually has nice reach and are the fastest two hander.
When it comes to trade blowing, which is the thing everyone complains about when it comes to melee, all you need to do is learn enemy attack pattern and experiment a little bit until it clicks.
Genocide the bandits inside the bandit camp North east of Cierzo. Then sell their shit.
>autorun
if you're on PC you can autorun by press =, it's a keybind absent from controllers though so that shit. But honestly it's almost never worth auto running, because you often need to avoid enemies that have respawned, enemies seem to spawn randomly as a player gets closer to a location. So let's say you massacre half the countryside and it's safe to auto run, you travel to a new zone because you have to, you come back all the enemies respawned, there's now a chance you could autorun straight into an ash giant or wendigo if the game decides to spawn him in front of you.
I get they didn't want a fast travel system like skyrim, but not even taking silt striders from morrowind or horses from oblivion is really tedious game feels like a walking sim a lot of the time, only way to make this not shit is by stacking +movespeed bonuses. You see that retarded bird mask everyone on r*ddit is posting with, that's a bis raredrop, you want to know why it's bis FUCKING MOVEMENT SPEED.
the idea of making multiple trips back to the lighthouse stash to my new town stash makes me want to shoot myself, also not letting you see how much something sells for so you you don't know what to take or leave and just sort of have to wing it or make multiple walking trips, i'm not sure how long it takes to walk around but i'm sure i've spent probably 70% of the game walking, whole 15 minute chunks and 30 minute blocks of walking.
and before spergs go, vanilla wow had a lot of walking and it honestly paced it better i feel like, traveling in outward feels dull but traveling in vanilla wow didn't, and even vanilla wow had wind riders and teleportation, i feel like something to convenient can make a game worst but i also feel like you can go too far the opposite way and make a game extremely tedious. that's the reason it's not for everyone tedium
sounds like you need to pick up more shit
If I had to sum them it in a single word, it would be “crude.”
thanks anons. going to try my hand with the bandits.
>autorun
I'm retarded, meant fast travel there. But I didn't have any problem autorunning into monsters so far.
Agree with everything you said though, some kind of carriage system that transports between the cities after you reach them would be nice because the amount of running is really tiring after the first map.
Can I play MP if I pirate it?
only with other butt bandits
Is it direct IP?
I think MP is invite only it's not a lobby system, you really want people you trust or atleast don't think are jews, because remember people aren't getting xp in this they get items, so he can loot everything you can.
SSE
Fuck, I got sent to the bandit camp (oddly enough by getting killed in it) and all my expensive weapons and shit got baleeted, where do they keep my stuff? I broke into the leader's chamber and it's not even in there
Maybe send a message to the asshole devs and tell them to fix their shit?
How the FUCK do I get from the swamp to the forest? I'm stuck in the swamp and I wanna go to the forest but the path on the map is past the spire of light and that's a bigass dungeon I don't wanna mess with.
should be in a tent
is there no backpack icon on your compass?
Jesus, how long does fucking winter last? Its been like 15 days.
You can consume someone's spirit for mana or turn them into a ghost bro. That's as necromatic as it gets as far as I know.
>$40
i'll pass for now
I could get 4 copies of Risk of Rain 2 for that price
I take it as no. Shame.
>got stuck in the terrain
>no enemies even remotely close
Guess I have to wait to starve.
>Slow Metabolism passive
>Tfw turning dead bandits into mana then using advanced rune magic to heal myself.
I'm basically eating their souls.
holy fuck this is all i wanted
>he doesn't start the day with a cup of tea
Do you even bong m8?
Has anyone crafted the Blue Sand armor set? How long does it take for him to finish a piece of it?
How does this game run?
How does the respawn work in this game. The overwold in that starting area is pretty much devoid of life at this point because nothing seems to respawn but then the bandit camp north of the city respawned all the bandits after like a week of game time.
24hrs
Everything respawns in 12 hours I belive. Idk if it's in gametime or real time
I think you need to leave that specific area for 7 days and shit despawns and respawns. Not entirely sure on that tho.
are you up by the foundry?
I managed to roll out
If you collect Thick Oil you can craft a Warmth Potion with just it and water. You get three potions and they sell for 8 silver each. Thick Oil can sometimes be mined with the ore and has its own deposits in the world where each harvest gives you three.
There are other money making opportunities. Prioritize the stuff that weighs only .1 or .2 but also can be sold. I know the weapons are tempting because they sell for 5 silver, but they weigh from 3 to 7 which makes them NOT efficient, and will only weigh you down.
It's good to use them to get money early, but soon they aren't worth picking up at all.
>survival
Alright, thanks.
say, can you craft things without the associated recipe?
Yes.
>Open world
>Survival
>Crafting
I love the steam filter options
>get out of town
>kill and loot shit
>die
>spawn at unknown spot
>kill and loot shit
>die
>spawn at unknown spot
>kill and loot shit
>die
>spawn at unknown spot
>kill and loot shit
>die
>spawn at unknown spot
>kill and loot shit
>die
>spawn at town
>sell shit for 1000+ silver
>start thinking what the point is to the game
>close the game
no clue what I just played
>Let's help raise awareness
Its called advertising or shilling. God are you even trying?
>literally so bad he broke the game
lmao
So that shit doesn't disappear right? I wanted to build fires everywhere to help battle the winter but i don't know if its worth it
also when you start a new save you get an option for 'ancestors' and there are like 4 blank panels. I assume traits that you inherit or something? Anyone know what it is or does?
Should I buy game?
no
campfires are permanent but they don't stay lit
it's easier just to carry 3 wood and kit and drop when needed
I was considering this when I saw it on steam, but all the negative reviews mentioning bugs scared me off
Which is too bad, because I've really been looking for an actual fantasy adventure simulator
I had no idea someone could fit so many buzzwords in one sentence.
wtf. Different merchants buy shit at different prices? FUCK. I thought I noticed something off.
fuck off shill this looks like trash
I didn't really had any bad bugs. It's kinda stiff, some would say janky, but nothing too bad. It's mostly fucking casuals crying because they can't figure out shit by themselves.
But i don't think it's worth 40€ tho. Just pirate that shit and be happy.
I wonder if there's a way to increase Pocket size.
>get killed by hyenas
>wake up without backpack
RREEEEE a bug!!!
>get killed by bandits
>they take your stuff
RREEEEE a bug!!!
Anyone know a good spot to get some Blood mushrooms?
There's gear that increases it, like the Master Trader Garb.
Permanently? I have no idea. But trader gear all has +pocket size on it.
Yes
If we don't support the devs there's no way they'll optmize the game.
Pirated the game, fucking boring as fuck holy shit
People think the melee is clunky
The speed and distance of step ins are different, so maai are considered differently, and actually, is the most important thing to consider about the combat.
‘Maai’ refers to the space between two opponents in combat; formally, the “engagement distance”. It is a complex concept, incorporating not just the distance between opponents, but also the time it will take to cross the distance, angle and rhythm of attack. It is specifically the exact position from which one opponent can strike the other, after factoring in the above elements.
For example, a faster opponent’s maai is farther away than a slower opponent
Outward melee is, in essence, a fight over maai. Distance, angle, positioning, these are all what the fights are all about.
It took me quite some time to determine my own maai in Outward . I mean, other Outward players maai are so far away. They start fights standing 5m away. Sure, their step in is long, and their speed is fast, so it’s not like I don’t understand. At first, I was impressed with it and thought “ohh so this is this world’s fighting style”…… but nah, turns out that it’s only because their defense techniques are undeveloped, a big indicator is the lack of a parry system in the default fighting and parry being locked to long cd skills.
so due to a lack of defense techniques and skills Players end up acting like this
>The opponent’s attack is scary, isn’t it?
> Being in a place where their attacks can’t reach you is safer, isn’t it?
So that’s why fights become just blandless repetitions of opponents dashing in to make an attack before dashing right back out.
Hit and run, you'd think? Sorry, useless and simple back and forth movements don’t count as hit and run.
The AI in a fight of maai however is in the advantage of, he isn't beholden to stamina, he can launch an attack from any position if his stance isn't compromised, you can't move or break out of an animation you start it's all rather sad.
Why is it called a Souls-like?
The trailer doesn't show shit for combat. Or do you just have to recover XP off your corpse?
>and that's a good thing
Sure, Mr marketer, do the thinking for me, tell me what's good one more time!
I'm off to give negative reviews of this everywhere just because of the shilling
It's because of retards like you that we get shit games. Buy the game when it's actually good, not when it COULD be good.
>can't spot the obvious shitpost
You're brain damaged my dude
I'm enjoying this game a lot
Too bad that I get horrible stutters every 2-5th second that fucks up my camera view, so sometimes I literally turn around 5 times before I'm allowed to look in the direction I want
Which trainer gives you the consume spirit spell?
Just use spark on a soul.
souls-like is just a shitty marketing term used to describe edgy rpgs that people feel unwanted levels of competence, just go to reddit or steam and you'll see why it's called soulslike, it's full of all the same people who play video games and aren't like their really elite hot shit for walking 1 hour and not using a fast travel system, doing tedious shit and over all avoiding buyers remorse like a single mother avoids a stable family.
HOW DO I GET GHOST BROS?
>like a single mother avoids a stable family
spoken like a true underage edgelord
>t. single mother
you gotta commit to the school of magic and unlock the highest tier perks and spells
Cast conjure on a soul
I've really been enjoying these threads, so I decided to purchase the game and play myself.
About to boot it up for the first time - anything I should know about, going in?
You can buy your house later if you fuck up.
Other timed quests don't give you that luxury
is it just me or the camera is janky in town?
like I can turn my mouse a little bit and it suddenly doing 180 turn because of fps spike or something?
I was doing tutorial and didnt have this problem
>ice torch
Sure, why not?
there are plenty of AAAA releases faggot, this isn't taking away from your fortnight experience.
I'm supporting what they're doing, making a comfy split screen jank that's interesting instead of another love fest heroic tail where you murder everything from the get.
are you using controller
not if you've been in the threads. don't be afraid to trash your first character after you fuck everything up
how is the movement in this game? do you generally just walk around or are there some hard to reach places you can jump to? are there hidden chests around the map? can you improve your run speed/jump height? my long term enjoyment in these kind of games usually relies on how fluid/fun the movement is
no, M+KB on PC
I'm also getting 100+ steady fps so I don't know what the fuck is going on with these 0.1s framedrops
friend of mine who's using a weaker setup has no problems, to add more confusion
I've tried every setting possible with no success so I guess I just gotta wait for the devs to fix whatever is causing it
>being so fucking defensive
>implying i play fortfaggots and other "AAA" trash
Fuck off i'm not throwing 40 bucks until i'm sure the devs can at least polish the few concerning fuck ups the game has. I still enjoy it and think the game is pretty fucking good overall. I wish they weren't published by those fucking retards tho.
>are there some hard to reach places you can jump to?
>jump
Kekkity kek.
do you have it if you turn your setting all the way to low?
or maybe might be problem with either graphic driver or G-sync stuffs
The Kick skill is your best friend. Buy an Iron weapon from the Blacksmith and upgrade it to a Fang weapon as soon as possible.
im playing the xbox one and there are 0 shadows indoors. it looks terrible
fiddling with potato mode, windowed mode etc doesn't have any impact
still get frame drops and camera fuck ups
I DO have a g-sync monitor so I'm gonna try fully disabling that for this game
unity devs hate g-sync for some reason and I've never seen it work in any game using that engine
How long is the game?
Longer than your dick
Kek goteem
Eurojank is always better than AAA shit.
Pretty fucking long then, good.
>44 base damage + Extreme Bleed + easily obtainable mats
Who tyrannosaurus here?
I've played this 30 hours solo and just ended a 5 hour straight co-op session with my roommate. It's a really comfy, familiarly janky and good game
>can't steal from npcs
completely ruined the rpg experience tbqh
well first of all content wise this game is lacking. Most of the quests you're gonna find are going to be to do mundane WoW shit like "bring me beast golem scraps" or "make me a fish plate" or stupid shit like that.
wow has better combat
I found a corpse with loot off a ledge, it turned out to be a dead end and I thought I had to jump to my death, but i somehow rolled into a safe spot on the middle of a wall and healed myself. Dont know how many more secrets like that there are, pretty sure I was supposed to die there.
You made me fall for Kenshi. I'm not falling for indie shit again
Okay? Then go play borderlands or something.
Do I really have to join the Blue Collective faction to learn the sage skill that allows you to cast runes without the lexicon?
No. You can get it if you take the breakthrough and choose it over the pre-fix skill.
What should I spend my breakthrough points on if I want to build a paladin type character? Sage/spellblade/monk? Hunter for the hp?
You can walk, Sprint and Roll. Walking is Free, Sprint costs stamina for as long as you are sprinting and Rolling costs a lot of stamina and is slower if you are wearing a backpack.
You cannot jump
There are small supply caches doted around the over world, but these aren't hidden. All chests with real loot are found in dungeons.
You can wear move speed gear to move faster, but the action combat isn't what you imagine it to be. You cannot jump, You cannot swim, you can run and occasionally roll if your stamina allows it, if you are wearing heavy armor you will move slower, if you have a lot of stuff in your backpack you will move slower.
there is not sidestep or combat is based around a Z targeting system, you may circle around your opponent or backpedal you may even sprint away from him, but doing so requires you to change the direction you are looking.
Comfy.
Favourite weapon?
Greataxe
Based and damagepilled
You are hot.
Does it play like/Feel like pic related?
Melee is fine. Skills help a lot but kick is enough to get you started.
The issue is that melee takes a lot to get going which is the opposite of the usual melee vs magic dichotomy
Don't have stamina buffs? Your stamina economy is garbage and you just fuck die because you can never catch back up once you're low. Better not be sick, cold, or hot because then you're extra dead.
Blocked a few times and you're not using a shield? Your weapon's durability is fucked and your damage output slowly sinks to literally nothing unless you take a several hour long break.
Enemy strong against physical attacks? Hope your brought a varnish/rag fag.
Enemies too tough? Time to start crafting new gear.
If you don't have all of this then you have to supplement with other stuff like ranged or traps.
While as a mage for example you can just do whatever and be relatively fine as long as you're not getting hit.
Not even slightly.
maybe
what about this one?
So how do I get breakthrough points? Is it just a set amount?
Is there a list of skill trees somewhere so I don't end up blowing my points on something dumb?
Is money making the grind that it seems like?
What's a good early magic spell? So far I'm just using a lantern and the fire breath thing
the set amount
on steam
yea it's a grind
flamethrower
How does this run on _PS4?
Yes they all have the same camera perspective.
got on the mountain, got the rusty sword, got shrekt by the thingy that was guarding it and got saved by some demon. How do i get my fucking mage powers now ?
Anyone else having the issues where it will sometime stop responding on loading screens?
The best earliest magic spell is the one where you lay down a fire sigil and as long as you stand on top of it (it's large enough), your "Spark" spell that you get as soon as you obtain mana instead summons a fireball. It does a lot of damage. The sigil requires a flame stone however, but they're not insanely difficult to acquire.
I recommend traveling to Berg as soon as you unlock your mana so that you can buy all four rune spells.
Go in the mountain.
Top level if you like puzzles
Middle level if you like mazes
Bottom level if you want to get there fast and don't mind fighting a lot of guys
UNDER the mountain.
Midway up you'll find an entrance that has the blue flags around it. That's the easiest entrance. It primarily has some troglodytes, but a few other things. You can get through it with some persistence. At the end you will get to a giant room with magic stuff in the center. Tap into the leyline there to get mana.
Thanks senpai. I found the bottom floor earlier in my game and the dude who was there died. Is he gone for good ?
>Is he gone for good ?
He didn't die in my world, so I can't say for sure but I doubt he's gone for good, If you walk in and he's not standing by the entrance feel sort of worried, i'm not sure how things play out if he isn't around that's not the last time i met him.
you'll probably see him later, probably. check for a corpse
How the FUCK do I get gud at combat
I hate split screen, anyone run it on dual monitors instead?
I just got to the center and he's there. Holy fuck this game is so good.
Where the FUCK is Jager Sulivan?
>takes upwards to half an hour to connect to friend
>crashes left and right takinf us back to step 1
>no fucking manual save and i lost my chicken mask to a crash
Really fucking disappointing so far
Apparently people even lose their entire inventories travelling between zones, fucking hell
why are you looking for him?
Thanks m8.
>magic
>melee weapons
laughing at you primitives
who eight--gunner here with blood bullet chad here?
they aren't merchants, you just hand over the shit and they give you money, because its a prison and you're working for them basically.
>minding my own business get railed roaded into a timed quest NOOOOOOOO
Seems like this game is a mixed bag. Some of you guys say it's good and others say it's bad. Fuck, I don't know if I should buy it.
Was considering getting a gun from the Cierzo store. How is it?
guns are okay if you use them when the usual bandits does their sperg charge
>go to the marsh zone
>modern era steel structures and a train
some PLEASE tell me this isn't post-apoc bullshit, please
Pirate, try, like, buy.
There's areas like that in the starting zone. And as far as I can tell, no, it's just not straight high fantasy.
You have to do enough damage to chunk half of the enemy stability bar.
You can do it in a few ways.
>high impact weapons, like the haldberd and mace work wonders for this
>Kick, when the enemy is turtle blocking. You can kick to open their guard and the enemy will lose a lot of stability
>Shield skills, there is a shield bash skill early in the game in cierzo
>3 or 4 hits combos, the axe hard combos are pretty good for this. The spear normal normal normal hard hard, is also good cos you do 3 pokes and after you move back and the charge again.
>counters, spear and two handed sword have it (idk if the one handed sword has it). If you use the skill when the enemy attack, you will do good dmg and fuck up their stability bar.
When the enemy is missing 50% of their stability bar, they will stagger at every hit.
Is there anything special to do with the rusted sword you find at the top of the mountain ?
Yes, it can be restored to its full power with the correct items.
i was talking to an npc in town and i suddenly died and passed out for a few days and then my lighthouse was taken from me
i have no idea what even caused my death, as far as i know my vitals like sleep/food/water were fine
Were you bleeding?
>look it up
>mfw
yeah one day maybe
They're good if you invest in them. You can be a gunlord if you want and alpha strike with a bunch of preloaded pistols.
NOBODY is saying it's good.
>comfy
>janky
>fun
not good.
So far I
> Went to a dungeon to get a rare mushroom
> recovered my house by saving a man on a beach
> saved hometown for bandits.
> discover my magic
> Notice that someone wants to sabotage a council
> Rescue a woman from that council
> Went to do an alliace with giants
> And now im in the run to get conspirators of that council
All of that in diferent enviroments, using difeferent solutions.
Preciselly quests are not the weak point of the game.
i can feel my blood pressuring shooting up as i read this, holy shit you really got me. i wanna strangle you to death
How is this game on ps4? I want to get a comfy couch game and i heard there's splitscreen?
Be sure to thank your butterfly bros.
>comfy and fun not meaning good
You do you.
Butterflies or fireflies? Because fireflies are dicks and attract enemies to you.
Butterflies. The ones that make the safezones.
Kenshi is actually good unlike this shit
So camping near them is considered a safe zone?
>walk down to shore for some amonite and blue sand
>11 god damn pistol shrimp
Let there be blood and thunder this night
So is this a finished game or early access?
Yeah, If you camp inside the butterfly circle then you can rest safely without being attacked.
remember that time you were such a newb you couldn't find your backpack
they forgot to make the gameplay fun at all.
for fucks sake use turn based combat or strategy combat if you can't make action combat
Neat. Based Butterflies.

Launched march 26th
Any tricks for melee?
I walked into a bandit dungeon and got fucking one shot in the dark by some murder skull faced deer monster. When my retard ass went back to reclaim my back pack I was set upon by electric shrimp mantises, they chased me all over the bandit camp as I desperately picked up arrows off bodies. Also I then had to walk home to get back my backpack and basically how the fuck did bandits get a murder deer in their dungeon because that shit one shot me. The lack of a horse or wagon murders me though.
Yes it's shit
Sprinting is faster and less stamina intensive for dodging attacks than rolls. Only use them if you really need the iframes.
how many hours of content roughly is there in the game?
>survival rpg.
stopped reading there
Idk but i'm 10 hours in, still on the first map and still a lot of shit i didn't even do on it. And i probably just go forward and come back later.
WHERE IS THIS FUCKING PRIEST IN THE DESERT
this game feels alright but it still need waaaay more content and implement game mechanincs way better than it does right now
I have a No Man's Sky vibe with this one: pretty shitty at launch, and then slowly became a solid 8/10 gaming experience
still, I'm having a hard time trying to gain mana and climbing the top of that fucking mountain
I don't know if I just need to follow the main quest and go along those other two NPCs in Cierzo
I enjoy the starting area's music way more than I should.
>the music in Monsoon
I like Hallow Marsh's. Sounds like something you'd hear in a larian game.
anyone know how to get this Merton’s firepoker? I can't seem to find the entrance for the dungeon. the tree in the island seems to be just the end of it.
>"I'll rip the secrets from your flesh!!"
>Make ammolite armor, expecting it to be a sunset color dotted with blue sparkles
>driftwood bolted to my face
F-frost resistance is good right?
Luxury Tent v Camofloauged Tent v Fur Tent
Which one should I go for?
>get into the fucking swamp
>beeline to the city dodging everything
>become a missionary and got a big boy's backpack
>realize i've played the game for legit 8 hours straight
Well that was fun, good night bro's
If you can only pick one, camotent for lowering ambush.
Fur tent is better for cold places but if it's not cold you just get stamina.
Luxury is best for when you know where butterflies are and don't need to worry about getting ambushed.
I just don't want to waste inventory space on a tent so I figured I'd only bring one.
>Fur tent is better for cold places but if it's not cold you just get stamina.
You can light a campfire next to your tent in the snow. Luxury tent is based and butterfly pilled.
>tent fags
disgusting
true men only use bed rolls
speaking of tents, what happens if I get ambushed while sleeping in the giant city?
>Camofloauged
where do you get
Yesterday I could barely beat a bandit captain.
Now I've perfect striking demons and giants in half.
>sleeping
pansy
>based and butterfly pilled.
not pitching your tent in 100% ambush bandit camp
I don't play eurojank. Pass.
There is some definite clunk to the combat. Enemies don't respond to you hitting them, they act like stone walls and just slide a bit. Blocking doesn't give you any opening, meaning melee combat is very punishing and pointless when magic is so much more powerful.
Anyone find the greatmace skill trainer? Hitstun applies when half of your stability bar is drained and you're knocked down when it is drained completely. Blocking gives you the opportunity to get out of dodge or use a high impact skill to trip them up.
can i be a legitimate mage or are you always stuck being a physical attacking peasant?
i hate classless games so much
Trader in Bern.
This.
Melee is dogshit. I may just rush to get magic as soon as possible
>mage
>not being a spear god with a gun spell
That's all deep silver games for some reason. If you can be a mage, be a mage. You're a goddamn god.
>sleep
>attacked by bandits
>now I'm a fucking slave
>escape from prison
>now I lost everything, my backpack, silver, weapons
is there a way I can get them back or am I fucked?
god I want to like this game but I hate it so much right now
I'll tell you what I think, they stole the posture bar from sekiro and from software because it's the only way to make combat hard is my guess, same reason why parries are on long CDs, the ai is so dumb and derpy you could easily fuck him up if you were allowed to parry.
melee's flaws are it's so easy to trade blows, the enemies don't have real openings or cooldowns, they don't have stamina, they aren't programed to have openings, you can't animation cancel.
An enemy swings, he waits maybe a second before he decides he wants to swing again if you swing a fraction of a second too late in that brief one second window and i think calling one second is being generous you are going to trade hits with him it's going to put a lot of people off because it feels awkward and wrong, magic just shits on everyone mostly melee is just artificial difficulty or legitimately braindead programing.
The type of people who enjoy swimming custard, think outwards combat is fine and smooth.
if you were a slave in the mining camp your equipment is kept in a bedroom to the left.
The guards let you through to work with the medic or in the kitchens, by the way that slave camp is the biggest early game money maker.
welp, it wasnt fucking there I searched everywhere
what can I say, I hope I will be enslaved again, good god
you can go full magic and its pretty powerful. Nothing really beats the damage of melee though, despite what people seem to be thinking. The only thing thats really OP is using bows desu
melee combat is easy as piss. just drop your bag and circle around them. magic kills most things in two casts, melee attacks kill most things in one heavy attack. at the beginning it feels like it takes forever but once youve got a good tsar weapon and big thick plate nothing can ever hurt you and you can just use rage to permanently lock down enemies. This is one of few rpg's where playing as a mage is 100% weaker late game. The only thing that ever poses a challenge are ethereal enemies because you have to spend two seconds putting on ethereal varnish. you can break shield blocks with one combo, knock them on the ground and then kill them without them ever even attacking. And if you've got late game plate on nothing can deal damage to you and your 160 health anyway.
Oh that's cool. Thanks! I'm glad to know that. I wondered why they were there and knew there had to be something.
You can be like me and carry around a camouflaged tent and never worry about encounters, though.
Does it support offline single player, and how is the combat?
yes
very clunky
Yes, and bad.
yes, and exactly what you'd expect out of eurojank
The magic system is one of the greatest things about this game. I think it could use some tweaking but ultimately the spirit behind it is beautiful.
I think I liked Arx Fatalis much more with its combat system, but this provides a different feeling, and there are multiple styles of magic. I really love how the "Spark" magic you obtain at the leyline transforms with these other sigils into various elemental effects. Also I loved the flamethrower magic using your torch/lantern. I just wish it wasn't pathetically weak.
>Does it support offline single player
it supports offline multiplayer user.
it gets stronger. the wind sigil is really useful since its not tied to stones, and if you cast a wind sigil and a fire sigil on top of each other you get both spark effects. the ice sigil doesn't modify spark, it modifies rune magic and magic armor. the fire magic bonus from the philospher is way better than the ice sigil. if you cast warm boon, blessing, and then use the mage armor to set yourself on fire you go to nearly 150% bonus damage on a simulcast fireball/ball lightning. it kills every enemy in the game almost with two casts. usually one cast and then a rune lightning.
the only real kicker with magic is to use it early on you need a lot of mana, but then once you get the right gear you can get 80% mana cost reduction and a bonus of 20 extra damage so you don't need the 240 mana you can get and end up basically with unlimited mana. The optimal amount would probably just be 120 or so, that would let you use a lot more stamina. Magic is way weaker and involves a lot more work than just beating things up with a greataxe, shooting them with six pistols or using a broken ass bow but it's an rpg. everything gets broken once you get the gear and skills.
You guys are making this too difficult on yourselves. Here's are some examples of how posture and impact work.
my.mixtape.moe
my.mixtape.moe
Here's another.
my.mixtape.moe
Damn it. I grabbed the ice sigil from Philosopher instead of fire bonus because I wanted to do everything. I guess I really should have done the bonus.
How does the ice sigil modify it? And when you say magic armor are you talking about the defense bonus spell from the rune magic?
It makes it shoot out an ice crystal that slows enemies. and you use the wind push spell, not rune magic. there's too much to keep track of, i just unlocked stuff myself. And i mean mana ward, the other spell you can get from the philospher. If you cast it in an ice sigil it makes an ice explosion, in a fire sigil it makes a fire explosion. The fire explosion also lights you on fire, which deals damage to you but also gives you 30% bonus fire damage. You can do absolutely insane damage if you really combo it all together.
My general routine for the situations where you have to fight in giant hives, or against multiple demons or immaculates is to put down a fire sigil and a wind sigil, pop all the boons and then just lure them over. one cast of spark and then wind blast will knock them over, then a second cast will kill them. Almost without fail. You can play around with the ice stuff a bit, its not awful but really its just another thing to fiddle with and more stones to carry.
ill buy it in a year if they literally fix any of the games issues:
human ai is too easy to exploit and trivially kill
the open world is barren as shit, the enviroment looks like a everquest 2 clone
the weapon sounds are not even on the same channel, or rather it could actually be the sound itself being dogshit
the abysmal performance, especially something going on with character models causing huge frame pacing issues
the skills are lackluster and uninspired and so are the open world encounters, it feels like im playing some shitty mmo, not an actual game
the only nice thing i have to say about this game is that it provides really good dungeon crawling feels
what surprised me the most is that this isnt even released as an early access, the devs fully released this game and yet it plays like a fucking alpha
you know what game released in early access and it already feels like a full game? risk of rain 2
how do you fuck up this bad
most empty open world I have seen in my life
wanted to buy it since the day they announced it, but $40 for eurojank is too much. Fitgirl, here I come
It looks based but $40 is too much
Only Mostly Positive reviews, DROPPED no thanks
Thanks for sharing
Fitgirl has a torrent up with the gay bird, dont support eurojank trash
>sleep
>almost a third of my mana gets burned
How do I make that tea to restores burned mana? I haven't found a recipe for it yet.
Water+seaweed
Thanks dawg.
This looks like a game that satisfies my autism.
drinking astral potions also cures some mana burn, and it goes away as you cast spells. Mana works opposite of health and stamina in that way
Comfy
My brother is going to be gone for three weeks so I have to take care of his kids. Will this be something they can play with me as well?
its only two player, and if this is the kind of game they like then you might wanna get them tested for the tism. But the splitscreen works
no it looks like shit faggot
Post your adventurers dudes
maxing out mana was a mistake, but at least i dont have to ever worry about it
Did the same and definitely. 100 or 120 would probably be fine for a pure mage even.
Yeah for sure. I'm probably going to play through again to see the other quests and I'm definitely going with minimal magic next time. It makes me wonder how much of the game was designed with coop in mind, I feel like it'd be so different to play through that way. It makes me want to try it desu
Is anybody playing in 4k? How are the system requirements?
Got this game thinking it was gonna be similar to a 3D kenshi. This is not the case.
This game is pretty shit.
There aren't any skills to level.
No weapon is much better or worse than any other damage wise, just depends on if you want staff, 2H swords, 2H axes, shields, etc.
Can't actually die, just lose some stuff and get sent across the map or held hostage.
Combat is Dark Souks if it was more clunky.
Pretty much imagine if someone wanted to make an RPG, then decides all the things that make and RPG an RPG were too difficult to implement, so you only had the base mechanics for everything and that was that. You dont get secretly better at crafting, they put magic behind a grind wall thats just gonna fuck you in the ass everytime you find an enemy you don't know and unless you cheese it with bows you'll be working at killing something for a while.
does elemental paper work on ghosts? i ran out of the ethereal varnish they give you
outward is on steam fuckhead
2 handed axes and pistol juggling does so much more damage than everything else that it's not even funny.
Maybe im just salty since it was pretty much touted as a 3D kenshi by the devs (not word for word) who glossed over the lack of depth of the game. I'm gonna give it some time to forget about it and then go back to it when it seems more interesting for what I want.
How fast can I rush to the end to pass on stuff to a descendant? I want to play with a character that isn't garbage, and now that I got to Levant and see the skill that cuts the dodge stamina cost in half and also lets you roll with any backpack, I need that shit. But I don't want to delete and make a new character.
So I think I just need to rush to the end.
How much mana for a spell sword?
How do you hide the ui
Why should i give a fuck about that clunky piece of garbage?
Pirated it and uninstall it after 30 minutes.
Thanks for sharing
How do descendants work? I've never died for real so I don't even know how to make it happen.
>you accomplish that like 15 mins in if you're a competent player
Your blood debt isn't the 150 silver you brainlet. It's the 20k.
Stick to AAA threads.
>20k
Is there a way to resurrect your grandma just to kill her again?
It's in the settings on the first menu
You know even though I joined the holy guys and I'm a paladin and everything I still have no fucking clue what the scourge actually is. Is it the horrors? The corruption? I wish there was a loredump npc or some books somwhere.
Is there anyway to get Padded Armor? I've tried to buy it, but no vendor sells it and I can't get the Ammolite Armor.
>Your blood debt isn't the 150 silver you brainlet. It's the 20k.
Alright. So what do I do if I have fucking 50 gold bars now so I can afford the 20k blood debt?
Can I pay off the blood debt completely?
Kill bandits. Wait for it to show up at the random merchant wares near the gate.
you can find it in tons of chests mostly, and im pretty sure you can find it on some merchants, the wandering ones esp.
50 x 100 = what user? you should be able to solve this.
dude that sounds just like AT's Magic Man?
You're living in a ≥ colony, you could pay 20k today, and tomorrow they'd demand you pay another 20k for grievances
Ah shit. I can't into math.
Fuck this blood debt.
Guess I better not pay it off at all unless they start bitching. Kind of like how the game began.
Ok so, if I get 200 gold bars, will it let me pay off the blood debt? I legitimately want to pay off the blood debt and then join Levant.
No. The blood debt is revoked if you join levant or the holy mission since you are also revoking the collective's duty to assist you in any way.
If you join the collective Rissa pays it off all at once.
is this worth a pirate, is there romance or can I get married
>use seven ornament pistols
>cheese everything with saber as well
master trader set is pretty fucking great
Loser Biowarefaggot.
Yeah, the only one that doesn't work is poison I think
played it for about 2 hours
seems like there's too little content spread across too much space.

yeah morrowind does it better than any of those

TELL ME WHY I SHOULD BUY IT
Haha... no.
people still play sandbox survival games? people still make them?
why lol
you're a dev on outward aren't you?
>$60
Where are you buying this that it's that expensive?!
Australian steam.
>eurojank
yikes
I cant play some eurotrash shit with combat that feels like it was tacked on at the last second after playing sekino
>Dark souls, but with parry
parry is somehow worse than dodge spam
Is it yet another stupid shitty soullike tag? I'm fucking tired of this casual cancerous normalfaggy thing
Hey man, thanks for showing up and letting us know
Gonna go spearfag with support spells. What are some spells I should keep in mind?
none, magic sucks dick in this game better off just going full melee
so it's like gothic and dark souls combined together. Gothic learning skill system and dark souls level of difficulty?
No problem, shill/dev.
>Dark souls
>Difficulty
i didn't know "hitboxes are bigger than you think" and "LOL unforeseeable surprise" constituted Difficulty
also it's janky so it is. Still not gonna buy it since, well, I will just wait for the history of khorinis. it's only thing I'm waiting for
What the fuck is wrong with you, you pretentious douchebag
STOP
FUCKING
SNOWING
Imbue Wind/Fire/Frost/Light are all good, all of them except wind can be covered with consumables however.
runic magic is a solid option, has a defensive buff spell that at advanced levels can be used to heal. Also lets you summon a sword, a lantern and magic traps.
Just get fur tent, soothing tea, and some jam
I honestly think the snow is a kind of "Why the fuck haven't you moved on to the forest or swamp yet" indicator.
I just lost all my gold to the Montcalms and I need to make my Blood Price payment, what can I do to get my stuff back?
Idk have you tried fucking murdering all of them?
I'm about to head off to a new region but I haven't heard shit about my debt since the initial payment. Is it safe to leave shit in my stash or should I take everything I can with me and sell the rest? I couldn't give a fuck about this village or the lighthouse, they can all freeze to death for all I care. I'll be back eventually for the treasure in the crooked mayors house though. Hopefully I don't have to side with that shady old hag to get the key.
either sneak in at the southern entrance at night like a bitch, and get your shit
Or roll in there with bleeding and poison, trip wires out the ass, and a rock hard cock ready to take the Guts' Sword home
>thread still up
I guess this game indeed is for autistic faggots. Can't wait to go back in.
I can come help, just open your game to multiplayer and post what you named the session here.
The key is a reward for a quest you get when you return to the starter town after picking a faction.
If Sekiro can get 10+ threads a day with retards who are slower than literal twitch streamers, you can bet an actually fun game will be up
its like a shitty botw :/
Difference is that Sekiro has actual good gameplay, while the unresponsive boring combat in this eurojank trash is the most unfun thing in the past decade
Compare Sekiro to this janky shit this is kinda reaching don't you think
I think all souls games could be good if their fanbase stopped comparing it to underwater blindfolded Rubik's cube solving
You lot are the same that sucked on undertale's dicks for 6 solid months, so you tell me, am i reaching?
I just started the game, so killing them was definitely not an option.
I ended up just running in, taking as much as I could, and running out. Still ended up having to sell basically everything but the clothes on my back to make the payment before the deadline.
>I just started the game, so killing them was definitely not an option.
Combat becomes easier as you do it. There are no levels or stats and gear only marginally close the gap. You need to learn how to fight things to beat them and you won't learn shit by avoiding all fights. It's not like you can come back with endgame armor that you get from not-fighting or something. Every zone after that first one is progressively harder and if you're not clearing the zones and learning how to deal with combat you're just going to die over and over.
So you can learn skills while joining someone else's game Or by just using splitscreen.
Convenient for saving yourself having to run all over the place
Well, considering I already die over and over, I think I'm going to continue only getting into fights I think I'll win.
>i already die over and over
>get into fights i think i can win
Nigger you better start thinking better then
I'm running around with an ax and a fur helmet, my thought process is "if it's alone I can probably kill it, unless it has a shield".
this is me again
I disabled g-sync in the nvidia control panel and it fixed my issue
so if you have a screen that supports g-sync and are experiencing these same issues, you gotta disable that stuff since unity doesn't like it
Kill Hyenas, get their bones
Save up for an iron axe (1h)
Turn it into a fang axe
Get poison rags
Get an iron shield
Get tripwires with wooden/iron spikes
Train the increased health/stamina
Pull those fuckers in and DoT them to death with the axes bleed, the poison, and the tripwires huge spike damage
Until you get better gear and can retard through the lowbie shit, read the fight and learn when they're gonna lunge
Goddamn that's alot of projecting, i was talking about the polishing of the combat system in sekiro compare to this garbage not the "difficulty"
Also what undertale have to do with this you flaming faggot? did reddit fucked you anus your something?
that was a wendigo
terrible murderers turn into them slowly over time, which is why it's locked up in a cell
It plays like gothic or risen rather than those Rust copy-paste
Did your brain forget how to write proper sentences? Or is that some primo salt i'm tasting from over here
No the pick/shiv is meant for killing the guard and take the key
Still waiting for you to defend you shitty ass game here
>He didn't still die "by accident" so he can be rescued by his thicc immaculate wife
The very fact you're posting in a thread about said game, in the dead of night in the Americas, is all the defending it needs
Now go read a Language Arts book you filthy mongoloid
is it good?
Lmao just leave your home to the swamp and join the battlemonks then get a bunch superpowers granted by your omnipresent god
Which is the magic faction? Does my choice even matter?
>Tfw gold lich set + garberry juice lets you cast spell without mana
Why would he defend the game? If you don't like it and don't wanna play it nobody is forcing you retard. It's baffling to me how soulfags ignore 10 Sekiro threads and feel the urge to click on a completely unrelated thread to complain about something they didn't even bother playing, really a double digit IQ cattle
can I pirate it
The wind tower cabal at first zone duh
But you gotta bulldoze trough 20+ ghost enemies just to get there
The completionist in me is stopping me from that. I've already got full blue sand, working on ammolite, along with a Bone Trident and am trying to drain every thin penny from these jews
You like eurojank? Did you enjoy Elex/Gothic/Technomancer? Do you think Bloodlines melee combat isn't that bad? Do you prefer soul and autism over graphics and enjoyable gameplay?
If the answer is yes to all then it's good. It's strangely captivating and addictive, or it's utter shit and you feel the urge to whine and complain in every thread. There's no inbetween
they're all really easy to run passed.
The point I'm trying to make is that you can make badass fucking armor and weapons and when you go to fight those bandits again they're still going to kill you, only this time they're going to rob you of your armor.
>get into the crypt of the weird magic tower
>ghost skellington

Shinobi arts and tools and the entire skilltree felt like a total afterthought. Parrying enemies and swatting them with the katana is pretty much it.
Every faction pays off your blood price. It's a plot mechanic not a tangible thing.
Go to cherosene cabal of wind tower for that MF +8 resistance to environment
>some small janky indie rpg that looks like it couldve been released 10 years ago
>40 euro
They're also really easy to kill. The dungeon straight up gives you 3-4 spiritual varnishes in the first fucking room. Kick into a single melee combo with spiritual varnish on your weapon and they're dead. Even the scary looking red ones aren't shit with varnish.
who said I buy Bethesda games
I was thinking about getting this but Unity games usually run like shit.
Faction has nothing to do with the skills you choose to learn.
see
Why does this look like a 2010 game?
Sekiro has the best gameplay compared to this eurojank
AAA standards don't apply here. It's devs like Bethesda that deserve to be shat on for consistently being 10 years behind the rest.
Is there a way to spawn items? I just lost my Horror Bow to the bow disappearing dodge bug
Why is this game so fucking brutal? Second quest you get in the game is pretty much a suicide mission.
New Vegas survival mode.
It doesn't look stylized. Even indie games look better than that.
I for one hate cartoony graphics. I think Half-Life 2 looks better than 2019 stylized graphics.
I've heard this game is unfair and doesn't respect your time (i.e investment) is that true?
I see another Sekiro thread is dying / late night troglodytes are waiting to "accidentally" run into a CP thread
This game is irredeemable garbage. Get absolutely fucked shill.
in this game you can't die, but if you get defeated you probably will loose 90% of your equipment and because this game is 100% about getting better equipment it's HUGE punishment.
>Kick everyone's ass in the starting zone
>Can't kill a single enemy in the marsh zone
What am I doing wrong?
Reminds me of Diablo3 back when the Inferno difficulty existed.
>dat act 2
Play defensively until you've memorized your enemy's attack pattern. Lure enemies into each other and pick off the weakened victor.
>playing co op
>friend keeps going off to play other games
>We're playing together so i dont want to play without him
>all i want to do is play outward
Fucking god damn it
Probably lunging into the fight without reading the dino's movements
they hit hard, have bleeds, and lunge very frequently
>He thinks there's 1 person posting in here
Even for early summer Yea Forums, you need yourself some learning
>Attack pattern
My dude all I do is wait for their attack and counter, unfortunately the enemy AI counters too
Then you're playing stupid. Every enemy cycles through combos with a set number of attacks. Count them and attack once they're done.
>wait for their HEAVY attack
Do not be baited by the non combo attack
heavy attacks for everything but axes force a pretty long recovery, including for enemies.
Pm the mod mavith on their discord and she'll send you a message in the morning about how to enable debug mode
adversary marketing was a horrible mistake
why can't you just mention a game's good points? are you really going to pass up someone telling you to shill to them?
i'm going back to haven and hearth
> you probably will loose 90% of your equipment
>blatantly lying
You don't lose anything when you die, your equipment is stored away and you have to get it back in some cases but that's it
>Tfw had my brutal greataxe disappear when I was holding onto it until I had the materials to upgrade it.
the game is trash
Yea Forums is just full of fucking morons who can not fathom the fact that other people may like different iterations of the same genre
>Wow, you still play pubg/fortnite/apex/(insert shitty 1 off game), why aren't you playing pubg/fortnite/apex/(insert shitty 1 off game)?
>LoL/Dota2/SMITE is superior to LoL/Dota2/SMITE
>CONSOLE WARS
Is the game optimized for ps4 pro with unlocked frame rate?
thing is if your equipment gets stored if you leave it too long the area resets.
Everything in the marsh hits like a truck and can swing 2-4 times. If you were playing badly and were just mindlessly trading hits in the starter area, then it's gonna come to head now.
Do you think i can port my pirated save to the actual game ? I actually really enjoy this shit.
is the multiplayer limit really only two? and if so can you increase it somehow?
>$40
I wouldn't pay more than 20 for a janky as fuck game like this and even then I'd have to really consider it
Looks like a fucking mobile game, quit shilling it
>140 unique posters
>people still angry about "muh shills"
Oh sorry i forgot Yea Forums wasn't actually playing video games. Faggots, every single one of you.
its not really very survival
its more like gothic
its designed really nicely too
instead of maps and markers to show everything you have to learn landmarks
and quests are descriptive instead of waypoints
and each main quest has 2 possible outcomes that have pretty direct consequences to your playthrough
and its autosave only so you can save scum if you dont like the consequences
Annoying, isn't it? It's also fine not to like a specific game without thinking it's shit.
Stop hyping it up. I'm not gonna get a new gaming PC until later this year.
>alembic
>cooking pot
>tent
>pickaxe
>fishing rod
>waterskin
Is there a special version of any of these items that weights less? It adds up to around 20kg and I already threw fishing rod out and sometimes drop the pickaxe
;_;
I can't tell whether she stabbed herself or if the guards just killed her for trying to attack them?
She stabbed herself in the guts
Have to pirate it first.
You enjoys games out many reason. outing them is not very nice
stop fucking having friends then you retarded social parasite
ok, dev/shiller master
>bought the game after having a blast on pirate copy
>can't seem to make the save work on the legit version
Whatever i guess, now i know how to make to most out of the starting area.
So this game is basically the fable followup we never got right??
Gonna get it tomorrow when I come back from out of town
This game feels like it should have been released 10 years ago.
>always wanted to have a friend to play games with
>every time I find someone this happens
Wish I could clone myself
How nice is it being a gunmaster? I'm considering it for next run.
You'll get better backpacks from the other cities.
>mfw i know that feel
>mfw i'm also that friend sometimes
i'm so sorry
So is every weapon horrible to play with or is there an exception?
Elaborate on what you mean
>instead of maps and markers to show everything you have to learn landmarks
There is a map ingame that you can access by pressing right on the dpad or "M". It has icons for literally everything in a town, and tells you the names of npcs and shit. Outside of town it has mostly all important locations/forts/camps etc. The only thing that isn't shown is monster burrows and you.
Fable was a better rpg, Outward is just a okay adventure sim.
>indie
>survival
>rpg
do you like pouring gunfire on your enemy and see them stumble around like a fool and then finish them off with a weapon?
You don't need a new pc to play it. The graphics are 2011 tier.
>you retarded social parasite
lol
>It's another "Yea Forums shills another Eurojank RPG and automatically considers it better because it's Eurojank" episode
You shitbags ever get tired of this?
Ever enjoyed a game that wasn't current year AAA trash ?
It's almost like we value games based on the devs who make them, so when a half-decent game gets made by a literal who it tends to be received better than when AAA dev #37 shits out another multimillion dollar 3 year dev cycle 7/10
>if a game has a budget it's a bad game
>only unfinished games with combat systems are good.
Taking Yea Forums's contraitan attitude to a whole new level I see, you guys are pathetic.
>honestly enjoying a game and discussing it on Yea Forums
>pathetic
wtf is wrong with retards like you ? Literally seething because we're enjoying something you don't.
I don't give a shit what you are enjoying faggot, your attitude is retarded, muh triple AAA games evil, mih badly developed games good kill yourself
>If a developer doesn't have a track record of making good games makes an average game
>neat
>if a developer has a track record of making good games and makes an average game
>garbage
Are you retarded?
I already have the 75 backpack but it's not enough. When I bring all those necessities, a few potions, some bandages, a few traps and some rags and varnishes it already climbs up to 40kg. The alchemical ingredients you find around also bump it up and then you've got around 30kg to use for loot which weights around 6kg each(or 20kg if it's some heavy armour).
>waaaaah waaaah
>waaah waaah kys !!!!
ok retard
y'all niggas don't even play Salem
actually no one plays that game anymore, fuck
are you?
you still here hurry up and do it, you are beyond saving.
He's right, if you open up the map after dying it's not gonna help you for shit when you don't know where you are. So you look for landmarks, check out where they are positioned on the map and look at the compass to figure out where you are
this game looks way different on low graphics, and its nice. Is anyone having stutters? im getting the m every 3 seconds
looks like a 3ds game
