What's in it? I haven't checked on SC in months
facial tech and female playable avatars
>3.5
>game is still pretty much pre-alpha
yeah the names they give the builds doesn't really make sense, probably going to be 43.fuckoff once it's actually out.
that's it?
not just that, arccorp looks fucking insane, got buildings you can land on n shit
A lot more than just that,

I've been playing PTU on and off. It's a clusterfuck right now, if they release it to live it's gonna be a disaster.
Most importantly the new flight model. Also, new planet (ArcCorp) and its moons, female avatars and the new character creation system, Reliant variants and the 300 series rework. Also, tons of minor feature updates and quality of life stuff, like (FINALLY) fixing the mobiglas and ladder bugs, redoing projectile code, various UI things and so on.
It makes more sense if you think of it as 0.3.5 and so on.
Oh cool
>mobiglas bugfix
THANK FUCKING CHRIST
alright well i'll wait with you fellas then
I dont understand what the creators are doing with the game. I mean I hear they have a city that they want to literally be cyberpunk 2077. as well as all the other shit. who the hell thinks thats a reality.
o shit, doesn't bode well then.
I had a feeling they were going to push it back to next weekend anyways, you a subscriber or?
Does the game even have some worthwhile gameplay?
I haven't been keeping up with this game for like five years
It's supposed to be a fully simulated universe apparently, not really sure if that sort of a scope can ever be reached, but it's fucking cool to see the tech they are creating and actually play with that tech.
kinda, it's fun with friends. I was playing with my unit on it a couple months ago and it was a fucking blast, but not the same experience on your own. The enjoyment is more out of awe, not necessarily "worthwhile", as you would put it.
Not only does it look 100x better than that garbage, it's already in the game
I hated that mobicancer glitch with a goddamn passion, can't believe they left it for so long.
if anything, it at least gives some beautiful screenshots
That city is already in. It's much less ambitious than it sounds, most of it is just a huge forest of inaccessible empty buildings with a modestly sized accessible hub area. It's fucking gorgeous to look at, though, like pretty much everything else in the screenshot simulator that is Star Citizen.
I'm concierge. I'm betting they'll release open PTU today or tomorrow, that should be fine as long as it doesn't actually go to live. The patch isn't that far from releasable, it just needs a bunch of balancing tweaks and bug fixes, and from past experience I'd say there's about a week of worth left.
It does, but you have to make a lot of it yourself and it's a lot better with friends. There's not a lot of solo PvE/mission gameplay, but if you're into PvP and "emergent" stuff you can find some good action. I generally find myself getting bored around a month after each major patch (every 3 months) but it's gradually been getting better. This year's roadmap is all about gameplay mechanics and tech/performance features, and I think that by the end of the year there'll be enough there to keep the game interesting between patches.
One of the main problems with the game right now is that a lot of the gameplay is locked behind ships that have to be bought for real money, and it's a lot more fun for whales like me than for somebody who only has a starter ship. Ingame ship rentals are coming with 3.6 and that should make the experience much better for people who can't spend a thousand dollars on spaceship jpegs.
No it's STILL basically a tech demo
They're too busy making premium spacecraft to sell to idiots to make the game itself
Are you just repeating shit you heard a year and a half ago?
I don't think those people even know what the game is like at this point
You do realise that adding spacecraft to the game is making the game right?
>they fell for the scam
nice bait weeb
Waiting for 3.5 to drop on PU
Yup, nothing but ships, they totally haven't been making any of the game itself.
