Fucking hell what a pile of shit >Those '''''gameplay'''' videos released >Graphics look horrendous (I don't give a shit about graphics really but I'm still bringing them up regardless) >World looks empty as fuck >Characters are teleporting all over the place, sprouting wings, running up buildings like some cringy naruto character >Characters are all dressed up like edge lords
Hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooly fucking shit this looks bad. >inb4 damage control RIP actual Ys fans, this is your future now.
Woooow, just like every Ys game since Seven, which had PS1 graphics. They've reached PS2 era graphics now at least.
Luis Rodriguez
>liking anything new falcon makes All they make is trash these days.
Gabriel Adams
Who cares about that, the combats still probably flash guard spam party cancer. I could tolerate shitty graphics and designs if the actual gameplay was good but they keep fucking it up.
Eli Brooks
Yskek cope lmoa
Dominic Parker
>nu-falcom tranny thinks I give even the slightest fuck out kiseki Oh I am laffin' Not an argument. Oath fans are actual fans. Casual trannies like yourself who couldn't handle the previous games are the main reason why the series has degraded so heavily over time.
Nathaniel Nguyen
It's already confirmed for being party garbage. Flash guard spam is to be expected too but no comfirmation yet.
Carson Campbell
>Watch video >It runs at negative FPS What did falcom mean by this?
Jacob Young
>tfw have played all Ys games except Celceta and love them all, but think Ys VIII is the best one of them all
I am incredibly excited for Ys IX, you sort of have to view the series in different eons like classic, 2000s, and party Ys.
Jose Hughes
Ys may have recycled assets from CS3, but at the least they have enjoyable gameplay and a plot that is finished in the same game it's started. Meanwhile the Trails series is nothing but cash grab after cash grab of generic shounen games that seem original because by the time anyone cared to localize them the tropes that permeate them will belong to the last decade. Filled with padding, each single story has to be split in multiple entries because whoever who's in charge of adapting shounen jump latest hot take into a mediocre rpg with mechanics stolen straight out of Persona and Fire Emblem believes that you can't do a good plot without having to traverse each modern fantasy town over and over again with a goody two shoes master of all trades protagonist, his harem of dumb bimbos who apport nothing and his background male companions. A sad corpse of a series with even a more tragic fanbase, who cling to it either because they think niche is cool and because they spent years learning japanese just to play a literal fan fiction of a retard who played Suikoden and Xenogears and thought that a long lasting series in the same universe would be good, with political themes as understood by a 11 year old and mechas. Literally everything that Kekseki ever did has been done by literally any other jrpg series, but better and ten years before. It's no wonder why this shitshow ranks lower than the most cancerous weeb games in japan, even when the series has become a shittier parody of itself.
How fucking stupid do the devs have to be to sabotage their own games by removing almost all elements of spacing and dodging and reducing it to a glorified rhythm game, its like they saw the worst aspects of iframe abuse VI engine games like via earth magic and decided to make it even worse and base an entire combat system around it. Simply yikes
Joshua White
>Nobody mentions Kiseki >Ys victims keep bringing it up. Rent. Free. Ys is literally worked on by Falcoms low paid C team while all of their actual resources and manpower goes straight into Kiseki. Cope post all you want, this is the truth.
>play a literal fan fiction of a retard who played Suikoden and Xenogears and thought that a long lasting series in the same universe would be good Is that really how Kiseki was thought up? That's pretty cool.
Jaxson Carter
>ip count didnt go up Ebin shitposting dude. Are you the tranny poster as well?
Nicholas Kelly
I'll wait and see until it actually releases. For all we know, it was just a test
Jace Taylor
Same, my top 3 Ys games are VIII, Oath, and II in that order. I definitely recommend Celceta too, it starts off slow but the second half of the game is 13 hours of some of the coolest level design and most rewarding exploration in the series.
I'm not super impressed by the initial videos we've seen but I'm excited to see what they end up being able to pull off.
I need to get off my ass and mod Celceta PC with Dawn art and music. One of the things I'd like to do is in particular is draw menu portraits for Ozma, Frieda and Calilica in the style of Dawn of Ys for consistency
Eli Morales
Dunno why people always post that one. I've never been a fan of it. This is the absolute best track from 8 IMO. youtube.com/watch?v=bGda1iypk7Y It has a lot of depth, sounds kinda happy and flowery on the surface but there's a distant sadness to it which makes sense based on how the game plays out.
Ys VIII's soundtrack suffers from a lack of volume, too few unique songs for how many areas there are in the game. IT's also clear that their recording budget was going to Cold Steel 3 at the time since there are very few tracks recorded with a live band. That said the standout tracks are phenomenal. This is my favorite in VIII, it feels very Mega Man X5/6
I agree Also Ys 8 has >literal Old Ys OP style music like youtube.com/watch?v=SiB6tFInblc >great music like youtube.com/watch?v=xogTY-BvV6s People can complain about "NuYs" all they want but the music sure feels like good old Ys and so does the sense of adventure After so many years of quality games I don't know why people suddenly start doubting Falcom out of nowhere Hell, Ys 8 was one of the best selling Ys games if not the best, I doubt they will be retarded enough to make 9 so different it's shit instead of Ys 8 but more polished
Levi Watson
Cringe. Nobody gives a fuck about sales. High sales of a niche game are just another tell tale sign that they've dumbed it down to appeal to braindead retards like yourself. Why don't you go tell old Fire Emblem fans how much their old favourite series new games are selling and see if they think that indicates quality you fucking pleb.
Blake Williams
I appreciate the feeling of having nails hammered through my dick on a Nightmare playthrough of Oath or Origin as much as the next guy, but I feel like Celceta and VIII have done the best job yet of feeling like you're on a big adventure in a cool place. Ys has always been about more than just the combat for me, so even though it's not quite as tight in the most recent games, I still love them for being cool adventures.
Read the rest of the post retard I'm not saying SALES = GOOD I'm saying GAME WITH THE MOST SALES = NEXT GAME WILL PROBABLY NOT THROW THINGS THAT MADE IT GOOD AWAY
Should I replay origin on vita, or play viii for the first time on vita? I won't be able to play viii on pc for another 4 years at least
Gabriel Powell
Dude, the Ys VIII footage like five months before released showed Dogi in the party, I'm sure it'll turn out well.
Oliver Peterson
>I feel the placement of this song is pure genius. The vibe it gives off is one that kinda makes you question why you're going through this dungeon after clearing the story. There's little to no story left at this point. Dana has said her farewell and your business on the island is complete. But you're likely going through the dungeon because you enjoyed the game and this is all that is left for you. The song makes you feel calm yet sad while you push through the last dungeon in the game. Even the name (Vanishing Trail) is just right. Kino
Dylan Miller
Both, Origin is like 20 hours if you do all 3 routes
Hudson Miller
*ahem* A toast to adventures! But also FUCK TRAILS FUCK ZWEI FUCK XANADU FUCK WALLS FUCK THE ROMUN EMPIRE FUCK THE KEKS OF DARKNESS AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST FUCK NAPISHTIM AND FUCK NIGTILGER
One of my top three Ys games, for sure: below Oath and Origin, of course. I mean, it's got that classic Ys blue-haired waifu of endless suffering as well, what's not to like?
youtube.com/watch?v=lGswk9-AMIw >When the music is so good and eerie that it's practically telling you that a big revelation is coming and all of your unanswered questions are going to be answered, but you probably won't like them Yes, this is quite possibly my favourite thing ever. As soon as I entered this place and heard this music I knew it was going to leave an impression on me and boy did it ever.
>what's not to like? Dogi's design in VIII. Compare that to your own pic. At least make him lose the stupid pants he was wearing. Pic semi-related, Dogi artwork from VI.
Reminder that Toby Fox was inspired to write Megalovania from Brandish 2's final boss, as written in the "Making Of" of his Halloween Hack, thus making it just another instance where Falcom Sound Team jdk inspired another famous Western composer. youtube.com/watch?v=ZcoqR9Bwx1Y youtube.com/watch?v=aIXlqAcyTbg
>they are going for the spooky town atmosphere "i-it will be empty"fags are going to get BTFO when the City goes to shit and gets infested by monsters after the prologue
Friendly reminder: >Final Fantasy is practically dead >Pokémon is just braindead >Fire Emblem and Persona have all been heavily dumbed down, stuffed with waifushit, and stripped of any possible challenge for the casual player and normalfag >Gatchashit is self-explanatory >Neptunia is also self-explanatory >Tales has shown very recent signs of gachafication with Asteria, Link, Rays, and Crestoria >Mother is dead >Chrono Trigger/Cross are dead >Monster Hunter's getting the Hollywood treatment >Atelier has completely fucked itself and its sales over with Gust and moeshit since Khemia >Speaking of Gust, Ar Tonelico is dead >Drakengard has been abandoned in favor of Nier >The SaGa series has started ripping off Last Remnant >Star Ocean is dead >Xenogears and Xenosaga are dead and not getting remakes while Blade still lives >Suikoden is dead >Grandia is dead (and that remaster sadly won't save it) >Same goes for Langrisser >Growlanser is dead >Vagrant Story is dead and the Ivalice universe sucked into FFXIV >Breath of Fire is dead >Alundra is dead >Valkyrie Profile is dead >Wild Arms is dead >Panzer Dragoon is dead >Shining Force is dead >Phantasy Star is dead and already gachafied >Phantasy Star Online is dead >Ragnarok Online is dead >Maplestory is dead >Skies of Arcadia is dead >Tactics Ogre is dead >Lufia is dead >Lunar is dead >Dark Cloud is dead >Jade Cocoon is dead >The ActRaiser/Soul Blazer series are dead >TWEWY is dead and sucked into the void that is Kingdom Hearts >Trails has been turned into bloated harem waifufaggotry with LN-tier chuuni protagonists and Calvard's still a long way off to save or completely destroy it thanks to Cold Steel
>Ys is older than ANY of these series or games and is still producing highly underrated quality-over-quantity action RPGs that are fun, challenging, and engaging with god-tier music for everyone to this day
The absolute state of many JRPGs these days; they're sadly just not as adventurous as Ys is now.
Hey, this looks interesting, so I want to check it out. Is the patch only for the Japanese version of the game, or could I use a Korean copy to use the translation patch on?
Jaxon Brooks
I have faith that they'll make him lose the island gear, considering IX is the latest one in the timeline and after VI.
The whole Valley of Kings sequence was very good. It's just after Oceanus which was the boss the game built towards from the beginning, and there's still this one unexplored part of the map.
And if you pay attention in the Eternia chapters, the place's true purpose is hinted at. But not much.
Blake Rogers
Shouldn't Adol breeze through the game then? He's stronger than all of Dragon Ball by this point
not played the cold steel games yet but as far as i'm concerned Falcom alongside Atlus (and maybe Monolith Soft) are the only jrpg developers who are making genuinely good games still
A lot of the doubting really comes from the fact Sen and Celceta were so close to each other, and outside of Ys 8 we haven't really seen a true A++ tier title come out of falcom since Sen and Celceta. But to be honest a lot of that has to do with the initial screw up of Sen 1 and them kind of writing themselves into a corner with the series, no matter what they did it could only be mediocre at best. But since they did Sen has been most of the titles that Falcom has put out in the last while, the only breaks have been Ys 8 and whatever expansion/revision they do for tokyo xanadu.
I definitely feel like Falcom is back on the upswing now that they can free themselves from Sen and with how good ys 8 was. I look forward to see what 9 brings.
Owen Butler
9 Adol looks way better than his borderline school uniform from Celceta and 8 so it's likely they will unJUST Dogi
>Just Get On This Free Boat kek >And if you pay attention in the Eternia chapters, the place's true purpose is hinted at. But not much. There's this singer in the capital and he probably foreshadows a lot of stuff. Are you perhaps referring to him? Gotta pay attention to his lyrics in Dana's chapters next time I get there. Currently doing an Inferno playthrough (only at the Eroded Valley as of yet).
Cooper King
Not if he crashes his boat onto the Prison City's shorelines and loses all of his equipment yet again
I like his VIII outfit in game and the illustrations are super nice, even if the design isn't my favorite overall. Playing with the Silver Armor in VIII just feels weird because it's so simple compared to the other party members' outfits. It's like Adol is playing dressup
Oh yeah, also gotta read the monoliths with the power of hindsight. Though they kinda hit you over the head with the fact that some truth is hidden from the general population.
Camden Sanchez
Just go back to the Felghana/Origin style of games god dammit
Parker Baker
Just needs a robot arm.
Cameron Parker
If they remove >Flash guard/dodge >dodge rolls >items being usable in boss fights >extra party members like in the Dana solo dungeon Then it would be basically Oath/Origin but better
Matthew Richardson
Ah nevermind, I looked it up and it does seem the patch only works for the Japanese version. For those interested in playing it, check out the rpgcodex thread for the game's patch to find a working download link.
Aaron Morales
>love dana and playing as her but dread her segments because of what happens story-wise
bumb system is also cool, tho dark fact can fuck off
Thomas Adams
>Ys 8 >Pros - >Best story >Best world >Best characters >Best music >Absolute best that the party games will ever get, it's literally the peak for that style of gameplay ----- >Cons - >Piss easy difficulty >Combat boils down to pressing your guard/dodge button just as you're about to hit >Enemies and bosses are too slow and announce these attacks far too much to the point that you can consistently block most attacks an enemy will throw at you even when fighting them blind for the first time >Heal items ruin are too plentiful and straight up ruin the game, you need to self restrict yourself to not using any or the game is shit.
Not quite. Boss design, even disregarding flash guard/dodge and party members/healing weren't necessarily the best. Think of the boss in the Tower of Baja, which is reminiscent of Origin and Oath, and how little the other bosses were like it. And the story overstayed its welcome a bit, but your mileage may vary on that one.
Oliver Ortiz
Release order.
Carter Morgan
ys died when it went party based took till dana to even make the formula decent its a shame theyre going with this crap again
Xavier Thomas
I did it, just took me like 3+ hours and I felt like an idiot when I read that it was just bugged
All the games are standalone so you can jump in at any game like Final Fantasy, but check out pic related if you want more info. However, Oath and Origin are the must-play games, in any case.
>when Iclucian Dance starts playing and it syncs up perfectly with the speed and intensity of Ys gameplay, the urge Dana feels to help as many people as possible as quick as possible and the emotional response you feel at the actions unfolding Best part of the entire game and best song I missed this kind of sync, it was only present in 1&2 and Origin
That is just poor boss design, if anything the boss you mentioned proved that good bosses like the ones in older titles are still possible in the new system but they don't make more of them for whatever reason I agree on the story part though, it's not exactly bad but it certianly feels too long for it's own good, and the fact that they start throwing random ideas around like the ghost ship part doesn't help
It's really impressive how they did so much with so little mechanics wise, that alone is why Ys1 is one of the best.
Ryan Scott
>the boss you mentioned proved that good bosses like the ones in older titles are still possible in the new system Exactly. So if we had more of those, you could maybe rate VIII on the same level as Origin and Oath, but not quite before that, even if you remove or disregard flash guard/dodge and the party system.
nah fuck adventure, you get generic anime bullshit now
Julian Gray
Have fun waiting another 20 years for the next one.
Colton Bennett
Star Ocean actually isn't quite dead yet. The phone game actually gives me hope that they'll make another game soon.
Luke Howard
Nobody who actually plays all the Ys games could rate 8. Garbage setting and flash guard cancer is at its worst. The most casualised Ys to date.
Lincoln Russell
Why the fuck is it so popular in anime games nowadays to have the same generic cutesy youthful art style... BUT EVERYONE HAS NEON BLUE LIGHTS SLAPPED EVERYWHERE
Justin Butler
You are wrong on some of these >Fire Emblem and Persona have all been heavily dumbed down, stuffed with waifushit, and stripped of any possible challenge for the casual player and normalfag New Mystery and Conquest are the hardest in the entire series and those are new >The SaGa series has started ripping off Last Remnant Last Remnant is a SaGa game though? >Star Ocean is dead They are working on 6. >Same goes for Langrisser Langrisser is getting a new game though. >Shining Force is dead It's still getting games though
VIII is literally the most ADVENTURE the games have ever been.
Aiden Brooks
how about you play Ys1 you fucking idiot
Ryan Smith
>gacha It's dead, Jim
Hunter Gray
>Last Remnant is a SaGa game though? Yeah dunno what the user is smoking, those games are from the same dev and now forever lost to the mobile shit.
Ayden Ortiz
What are you talking about, Xanadu: Lacrimosa of Dana came out 2016
Levi Phillips
/fg/ is the other way, Kisekifag.
Jaxson Johnson
I meant it more like "if they remove those things the new system would be better than Oath's system" I still think Origin is the best game in the series and Oath is right behind it, but 8 is close to them too even if the gameplay is directly worse just because it did so many things right
Juan Hughes
>Ys 1 has you going through already-built villages and a tower already explored in Origin >Ys 8 has you adventuring on an entirely unexplored tropical island area Yeah okay
Charles Stewart
That's just cheating, user. I & II are in a league of their own.
You are the standard Ys fan taste wise (disregarding braindead Oathtards)
Hudson Brooks
It's rough around the edges especially early on but once you get the Gale shoes the game gets so fucking fun. My first playthrough I did the entire second half in one 14 hour sitting
>Absolute perfection I & II, Dawn >God-tier Oath, VIII >Great-tier Seven, Ark >Good-tier Origin, Celceta >Meh-tier Kefin, Mask >Trash-tier Wanderers
Isaiah Robinson
Danafag outs himself as a retard who never played 1, what a surprise
Nathan Fisher
I loved grey temple, grey cave and green field
Luis Thomas
>small as fuck forest >couple of cities >a mine so shitty I don't even remember >that boring dungeon Feena was in that is only memorable because the music of that area was sick as fuck >the tower that you didn't climb for adventure but for a prophecy or some other bullshit 1 is an amazing game and has more fun gameplay than 8 but it can't compete with >shipwrecked in deserted island that nobody has ever come back from, also full of prehistoric creatures because evolution left the island behind The entire setting of 8 is the peak of adventuring And then you have moments like >setting camps along the island >climbing the mountain to see the other side of the island >going to so high up you break through the clouds and characters have trouble breathing >entering the primordial forest youtu.be/vfhpm9A7AoA >entering the primordial plains youtube.com/watch?v=QGxoYHdaa3g 1 can't compete
not him but Origin has bossfights and thats it. It's the Dark Souls 3 of the Ys series. Except Yunica plays like a slow oath adol and hugo is pocky and rocky so you gotta beat the game once just to get a good character. Origin should have just been a boss-replacement mod for napishtim
you don't even have a base understanding of what a true adventure is so its not worth discussing this with you. Adventure does not mean "lol big maps"
Dana could never even dream of accomplishing the brilliant moment where everything youve learned about the game changes when you enter Darm tower, let alone all the build up up to that point
Joseph Howard
>not him but Origin has bossfights and thats it Oath is the same though. Oath probably has the worst story and settings in the entire franchise. At least Origin was a lore and fanservice fest.
>Kino aesthetic design >Best theme >Hardest fight I want to go back
Henry Jones
Oath is a happy medium between napishtim and Origin which is why it is the best
Cant argue with Origin having good lore, my favorite part was when Yunica was the only one who was so stupid the bbeg cant harm her. Or about how Hugo wanted to be evil but then decided he didnt like it but then wanted to be evil again 500 years later
I also like instead of just telling the story about how the tower first rose that the other games reference they instead decided to make a bunch of convoluted bullshit about how its rising agian when they couldve just told the actual origin story, instead of this 2nd episode featuring characters related to the main characters of the 1st.
>be evil again 500 years later That's his descendant though.
Tyler Jenkins
best bossfight in the series
Isaac Harris
Speak english faggot.
Adrian Howard
>Kino aesthetic design >generic big dude who hugs the platform that is literally in every jrpg ever
Evan Reyes
and thats the problem w/ origin is that none of it fucking matters or has a reason for existing because everyone in it is just a descendant of an actual character. The story of Ys is completely unaffected regardless of if origin was ever made or not, it adds nothing
Luke Russell
>it's le tower climbing simulator, therefore it's trash So, you hate the second half of I, too?
Jackson Robinson
OI, AWWIGHT NAOWUH OIM BRITISH MOIGHT, NOW WOT IM SAYING IS DAT SODDING GAME ORIGIN IS A RIGHT PIECE OF SHITE M8
Andrew Mitchell
>it adds nothing But you now know who Darm is in Ys2.
Aaron Gonzalez
>exploring a island NOBODY has ever set foot in and left to tell the tale >not the peak of adventuring Nigger I could understand if you argued using Ark that has Adol get lost in fantasy bermuda triangle, finding elves and tech of ancient civilizations, but Ys 1? Ys 1 is a literal zelda game in terms of adventure >shipwreck >explore starting city >explore forest >prophecy says you da hero >fight evil McEdge guy >save girl in the process hell, the fucking Ys 1 opening has more ADVENTURE than the actual game, I remember playing 1, expecting loads of adventuring and being let down that the whole ""lost"" city of Ys is found after the first game and then it might as well never fucking exist outside slight references
You niggas sure like to argue about the most redundant shit. Most Ys games are good, aside from like Celceta.
Colton Allen
>Tfw I played the PSP version >Tfw I even liked his cheesy voice and dialogue >"heheh I've got you now...taste my pain...PARTAKE IN MY SUFFERING"
Liam Williams
yes you do the tower is called fucking darm tower
Aiden Sanders
Kind of? Wack bosses and so much backtracking. The atmosphere with the changing music and how you can see the time go from day to night back to morning are impeccable though
Wyatt Reed
Am I the only one who thought the Chester 2 fight was both more intense, and its theme better? t. totally not his sister
>oathtards literally doing souls comparisons Can't even make this shit up anymore.
Elijah Garcia
I agree, but Galbalan is the second best boss in the series
Logan Roberts
you want a survival game not an adventure. danafags are so fucking dumb. Your whole argument is "this adventure is better because I like beach settings better". beaches are for surfing
Gabriel Hernandez
Only good Ys games are the turbografx-cd ones.
Ian Davis
>the whole ""lost"" city of Ys is found after the first game I guess it was really, really lost then!
Controversial opinion but I think II has the best bosses in the series. Ys bullet hell owns so much and they're cool to just replay for fun outside of the full game
>The atmosphere with the changing music and how you can see the time go from day to night back to morning are impeccable though
Really liked this detail in Ys1. Since you were outside the tower a decent amount first it really felt like "oh shit Ive been traveling up this tower a long time i hope my friends are not worried about me"
Colton Cooper
Play Ys II
Jaxon Wright
I love both. It is good to see somebody else post A Searing Struggle though, it never seems to show up unless I post it.
i'd go a bit further and say the bumper car mechanic is actually genius esp when it means u can just run through earlier areas and the enemies just melt when they touch you
I ultimately found them easier than 1's due to having magic as a tool. But it's been some time since I even played the first two games so I am not sure how I'd rate them.
Easton White
You are retarded. I bet you are a fucking discuck tranny too from fg or reddit too.
Joshua Johnson
definitely underrated bosses, they really explore everything they can with such a simple combat system
Carter Long
>exploration isn't the essence of adventure >killing demons and eldritch abominations is okay fag, be retarded somewhere else There is a reason always leaves the sluts behind and boards a ship at the end of the games Hint: it's to EXPLORE new lands and have adventures Have you even played any game past 1? Because this is brought up a billion times by everyone, how Adol loves exploring the world he leaves in a finding places nobody has seen before Adol is the literal first "official" adventurer in his world and the word Adventurer was created after him When Adol dies, his ADVENTURES start an age of EXPLORATION Notice the conincidende? Not a war aganiost demons, sorcerers, whatever the fuck Adol killed, because that isn't what peopel liked in the journals they liked the ADVENTURE, and since they wanted to feel ADVENTURE they EXPLORED Do you get it yet retard?
Wyatt Miller
Show me where it tells me that he is Cain Fact.
Jose Murphy
>Oath fans are actual fans >the same fags who think Ys WaS MeanT to Be HARD like a soulsfag
Owen Kelly
Yea sorry for being so retarded that you cant deny what i said. What does that make you? Sub-tarded?
Exploration is the essence of exploration. I dont feel like im going on an adventure in skyrim looking at every single unrelated corner of the map. Adventure is the sense of a journey. The feeling of going on a quest, the characters you meet, the artifacts you find, the problems you solve. All these combine encompass the singular feeling of adventure.
You just completely misunderstand the series and want Ys 9: Skyrim but only on beach maps with shipwrecks
Tyler Collins
Based and redpilled
Jason Thomas
>explore >adventure Kinda wish they didn't add Thanatos in VIII and call him an explorer. I think the party even talks about how the two are supposed to be different, but it cheapens the whole "Adol is responsible for an age of exploration" kind of thing. Even if he was the most influential or whatever.
Caleb Jenkins
Only casuals disagree with this but it's 100% true.
Jayden White
you can actually damage him in quick succession if you time it right and run parallel with him as he crosses the field. This means that less of the ground will disappear since the crumbling ground will overlap
The irony: >My first question was kindly answered by Hashimoto: where did the concept for Ys come from? >Hashimoto: Recent RPGs have been very difficult, and it takes a lot of willpower to finish them. So eventually we came to have our doubts: was this really “fun”? With Ys, therefore, we set out to create the opposite kind of game, something that would be accessible, easy to play, and not geared toward hardcore RPG maniacs.
What does knowing he is cain fact add to the story other than "Yea see, origins is related".
That he's related to hugo? Hugo only exists in origins and is completely irrelevant too. Origins Lore is a vacuum and they only made it vaguely related to the other games by reusing last names.
Hudson Baker
How to spot a fake Ysfag. Adol was a furry since the start.
There isn't a single game in the series that is hard aside from Oath. Origins is mildly challenging if you don't pick Hugo first.
And this is why oathtards should hang themselves
Blake Sullivan
Doesn't matter what he said you deluded faggot, the games people liked most are the hard Ys games and it's what the series is known for.
Christopher Lopez
>something that would be accessible Well looks like they found success with Dana. Still doesn't make the game better.
Nolan Fisher
Ys has simple RPG mechanics, that doesn't mean the games shouldn't be challenging.
Hudson Garcia
>all games have easy and normal(normal is called "the way meant to be played") in multiple >both are insultingly easy Ys is only hard at hard difficulties, and even then Hard is not even that hard, it's just challenging enough to be fun to beat
Ryder Davis
I do not disagree. For me it's also the challenge that is most appealing to me about the series. And I don't know if the guy who said this was even involved in the series at the point where the games started to get much harder. It's just funny, is all.
Isaac Nguyen
>>Characters are teleporting all over the place, sprouting wings, running up buildings like some cringy naruto character >>Characters are all dressed up like edge lords this is normal for ys
Landon Hughes
I feel Ys games are designed with Nightmare in mind.
Hunter Cruz
Ys has weird difficulty (at least earlier ones not played memories or viii yet) because one item upgrade or one level can make a boss go from very difficult to very easy.
Logan Price
Cain Fack didn't exist until Origin. Even Chronicles still follows the original lore. Darm in II is the personification of the Black Pearl itself, not some power-hungry cuck.
Angel Cooper
>the absolutely fucked nightmare corridor in Origin's Toal playthrough They aren't
Samuel Gomez
>forgetting about those 1dmg skellies during Hugo's playthrough where you need recharge the ring
Joseph Jackson
>the nightmare corridor >that first trap room where you get booted out if you're not in Burst, which lasts for barely any time at all in Nightmare
That was a bug though, you were supposed to deal more damage to them
Charles Flores
But user that one game in the series is REALLY HARD if you play it on the hardest difficulty setting nightmare. It's the only one like it therefore it's what makes Ys games Ys so only hard as balls Ys games like oath in felghana and oath in felghana and oath in felghana are true Ys games.
>b-but dark fact is hard cause i'm a zoomer who didn't play the games before they released on steam
Kinda sad to see, not even a fan of this company like poeple are but played a couple of these old games and the old trails games in steam yet all their new ones looks soulless. It's like looking at nu-SNK games these days.
Joseph Butler
>old average anime artsyle SOUL >new average anime artstyle SOULLESS
Ayden Nelson
KOFXIV was good
Lincoln Brown
>muh soul Literally kill yourself.
Luis Allen
SEETHING Oath in Felghana is King and all other Ys games should strive to be as good as it.
Hudson Roberts
The combat will be fun. The movement system with the wall running and grappling will make for some great options.
Hope you enjoy living in your bubble with all the other retarded oathbabbies.
Jace Powell
Not with that godawful platforming.
Grayson Roberts
Reminder that Ark has absolute SHIT bosses except the final ones Reminder that Oath has a lot of garbage bosses like the ones in the fire area Reminder that poorly designed bosses aren't hard, just poorly designed
Ian Brooks
>Reminder that Ark has absolute SHIT bosses except the final ones Frog one was pretty good.
What does it mean if I only like Oath, Ark, and Origins?
Does that make me a faggot or do I have supreme taste?
Thomas Harris
im reading this comment and am trying to understand what part its even referencing
do you mean napishtim with the dash jump shit? git gud
Isaac Brooks
Supreme taste. Welcome aboard.
Austin Wood
NISA is gonna do the port. :)
Christian Ramirez
That's about the standard level of taste, but it may indicate that you started with the Ys series earlier than some.
Easton Parker
everyone knows ark has shit bosses, this is why no one talks about it
Oath Fire area bosses were great. the lame bosses is shit like the fairies where the fights just not much of anything
Anthony Hill
>Reminder that Ark has absolute SHIT bosses except the final ones Oh hey, so I'm not the only one who thinks so. It's the popular opinion. Make of that what you will. Though sometimes, VI is rated as trash-tier which is ridiculous.
Nathan Morales
>do you mean napishtim with the dash jump shit? I think he means the platforming in Oath. Also you need to use dash jump like 2 times.
Luke Walker
You are the "git gud" steamsoulsfag
Kayden Robinson
>Oath Fire area bosses were great >the fire worm with the gimmicky "put out fire" mechanic with totally random and impossible to predict movement >great >the bird of RNG flipped tiles >great
Luis Young
Careful, your opinion isn't edgy enough and contrarian enough to be accepted here. I, too, have played all Ys games except Celceta and feel the same way. I enjoy the very original Ys a lot too, despite bump-combat. The newest Ys was a great step up for the developer and really showed a lot of overall polish and talent they have lacked for a long time. I'm not a huge fan of flashguardspam like everyone else, but I don't fret too hard. I'm glad to see the series stay alive and until they release a game I actually dislike, why should I overly complain?
Leo Brown
Makes you a steambabby.
Juan Garcia
>Oath Fire area bosses were great You mean just Gyalva, Guilen was fucky to hit, let alone get good damage on. And even then, Gyalva's RNG is fucked to the point where it can trap and blast you on one side of the arena.
you cant blame RNG for your own incompetence. You need to take into account the situations that can occur and prepare for them. Worst that happens out of both rows getting flipped is you take negligible damage
And im sorry to tell you but the ENTIRE POINT of the fireworm boss is to teach the player how to read movement patterns. if its unpredictable you fucked up
Benjamin Long
t. failcomtard liking games from a company worse than tamsoft gameplay
And then when you switch to Hugo you realize it was just yunishit being shit
Jack Lewis
>Characters are teleporting all over the place, sprouting wings, running up buildings like some cringy naruto character >Characters are all dressed up like edge lords This is by far the worst sins of nuYs, how utter otaku garbage the new characters are, act and look, specially their shitty designs, instead of the nice looking and realistic art direction of the series in the past. The fact "fans" defend that garbage is yet another proof of the complete lack of criteria and standards of weeaboos.
>character designs in a series known for it's gameplay are worse Fuck off graphicfag Of course everyone prefers the old designs, but shitty designs isn't going to make me like the games any less because I'm not a braindamaged graphicsfag
Matthew Evans
ah yes the ealistic designs of old Ys that I loved so dearly
haven't played that but I don't think dark souls is very good. what does it do so much better than DS?
Jacob Miller
>party based Ys games Just give me something, ANYTHING else. Weapons/powers/tools/gear to switch between, don't force this garbage party system so you can have character interactions, it does fuck all for their development
You're a Brad, good taste but not quite on the level of PC-98/remake of 1 and 2 Chad.
Nathaniel Hill
3D anime always looks trash and the last good Ys game was Origin. Don't know what you expected.
Tyler Powell
An Ys character action game with Adol as the only protag, Y/N?
please, please, don't be one of those spergs who go apeshit over someone saying "character action"
Bentley Collins
Nioh has a great gameplay system but does nothing with it. Shit bosses, shit enemies, shit levels. shit loot system. Game could also be easily broken, even more than any magicuck in souls.
Josiah Jenkins
>Yea Forumstard like felghana, ark, and origin, garbage games that are so primitive that they hardly pass for a video game and not just a walking simulator At least Dana has something resembling a combat system.
Levi Price
>Simple Robes with spiked shoulder pads >This is somehow the same as Adol having a robat arm and being able to run up walls and jump from building to building then sprouting wings and flying in the sky What the fuck is wrong with you and how did you think this would help your case? Nobody said Ys wasn't an 'anime' themed series, but you can be anime themed without going into the nonsensical territory they've gone into now.
Lucas Campbell
>tfw Ys is still an above-average series compared to the slow and floaty combat of KH3 and the utter trainwreck that is FFXV that's come out recently Not hating on KH3, fun game, but it really makes me think on how far we've fallen in general. FFXV can go fuck itself, though.
But bumper fans are, Ys 1 & 2 are the best games in the series and the party system games are an abomination
Lucas Foster
>fought a giant man-eating monster with a wooden stick >won It cannot be understated how kino this moment is. This is the first Ys game that was party based and Adol always had an entourage at his side and the villains thought the rumors about Adol were overstated. They take away all your weapons, armor, and party members and give you a dull sword out of pity before throwing your into a public execution, alone, with the entire kingdom watching. Beating the ever-loving shit out of that giant asshole in classic-Ys style with the entire country as witness and watching the chancellor shit his pants still makes my dick rock hard to this day.
Big issue all around with Falcom recently is that they only have two core composers when they usually have 3 or 4 and the contractor they regularly use fucking blows. Definitely seems like they trimmed the music department to save some cash. Cold Steel 1-2 are the last games that really went all out OST wise.
James Cox
First post best post. Ys is for chads only.
Isaiah Kelly
>At least Dana has something resembling a combat system.
Flashguard spamming?
Aaron Brown
It'll be fine. Also, fuck Kiseki & fuck Kondom, where's my Tokyo Xanadu 2?
Jacob Stewart
>the last good Ys game was Origin *adventures into your path*
Isn't the gameplay identical to the "Complete" version from 2001 or something, though?
Joshua Gray
2 is my favorite, but Chronicles made more bad changes than good (some of the characters look horrible) and the gameplay is older than Origin.
Bentley Smith
>it's impossible to like more than 1 thing Ok dude
Ian Howard
I didn't say it had to be universally terrible. Falcom OSTs are still pretty good and the two remaining composers (Sonoda, Unisuga) are great. You can definitely tell which tracks were done by the contractor (Singa) and the big aranged guitar and orchestra tracks (Jindo) arent as good as they used to be.. My claim also encompasses Sen 3 and 4 and Tokyo Xanadu. Falcom also doesn't make arrange albums nearly as often, although we're getting an Ys VIII album later this year which I'm looking forward to.
Parker Cruz
No it's not. You're just using Yunica.
Lucas Fisher
I kinda get where you're coming from. Hopefully JDK gets more varied (But good) composers again
Evan Baker
Personally, I'm looking forward to that Gens d'Armes arrange myself.
>oathzoomers Studies have shown that Oath fans are not only more mature and older than nufalcom fans, but they also are more attractive to the opposite sex. You have to be a tranny to prefer modern Ys over based Oath.
Elijah Wood
given the quality of recent titles Star Ocean should probably stay dead desu.
James Hughes
>> >more mature >after typing that the state of oathtards
Lincoln Green
Not a fan of the party system. Wish it would do something more like Ys Origin where you have different characters, but this time have the characters do different things concurrently but their actions all affect one another.
>steamfag >oldfag >not a nufan This is like FF10fags thinking they are the oldguard.
Samuel Davis
Cope more nufalcom cuck. Oath is when the games got in a whole other level of good. I went back and played the older games after playing Oath. They're good games, but they don't compare to the masterpiece that is Oath. Still recommended though. The new games however? They're low quality garbage and a complete departure to what makes a good Ys game.
Easton Allen
>no adol in cover or promo art pack it up boys, ys is dead
Noah Russell
>time have the characters do different things concurrently but their actions all affect one another.
Yea. Instead of Yunica just being stupid.
Parker Smith
Ys was easy long before they were ever hard
Isaiah Rodriguez
oath is the only game that matters ysbaby
Jace Harris
When did that actually change? There's this quote , but then Ys V was lambasted for being too easy. So much that they felt the need to release a harder "Expert" version.
Juan Thomas
>get a flash guard >mash attack while spamming flash guard since you're invincible and can still get more flash guards without having to time them >repeat for 5 minutes shove the bosses are HP sponges
How can anyone think this garbage gameplay is good?
Adam King
Based
James Gray
Seems like the usual Ys garbage except with some good art now at least.
Camden Peterson
>get a flash move then immediately flash guard >spam both ad infinitum >still takes 10 minutes to kill the bosses because they turn into damage sponges at endgame fixed
Oliver Johnson
Reminds me of that one user who BTFO people who were saying Ys 8 was hard by going into a fight he had only done once previously and fucking the boss up effortlessly while being underleveled youtube.com/watch?v=j85MVULobXk
Isaac Barnes
It never changed. They just added Nightmare modes for a challenge and the systems in the ark engine just inherently made them harder than the others (until you figure out how op earth magic).
Noah Williams
>jumps into attacks rather than dodges them just to get more flash guard/evades god nu-ys is so bad
William Bailey
This is gonna be the new worst game in the series guaranteed. Literally everyone agrees that it and the reat of the nuYs games are Sonic 06 tier shit. This is gonna be Ys's TORtanic.
Danacels literally cannot debate this. Their game is factually shit.
Based and redpilled. Danashit is the most hated YS game for a reason.
Cope harder danacel
Elijah Garcia
I wan 2 fuk dana
Levi Parker
Most 8 bosses are 1-3 minutes on inferno, if you take 10 minutes to kill any boss you are just bad mate.
John Peterson
Fuckin tell us about it. Dana is unironically one of the worst games ive ever played. Glad its universally hated here.
Shit waifu shit game. Cope.
William Mitchell
Go back to your dakis nigger. You're the reason why Ys is dead
Only Oceanus and the literal final bosses should take more than 5 minutes and definitely under 10.
Parker Perez
mostly smugposting and contrarianism. i wish i was as good at parrying and dodging as they claim they are.
Brandon Lewis
no its for zoomer cucks play oath instead
Jack Rogers
What are you talking about? Did you even read my post? I'm literally praising the part you don't have a party.
Kevin Williams
Not really. Play VI and Oath if you want to experience what made Ys good.
Isaiah Wood
absolutely. it's a terrific jrpg on its own right
Ethan Morgan
Without using buzzwords, can anyone explain why the party system is bad? It's not really what I wanted, but I don't think it's terrible.
Colton Sullivan
Y I K E S
Wyatt Howard
If you can get it for cheap or pirate it, sure. The story is shit though and so are most of the characters so don't expect much from that.
Austin Mitchell
I've been living my life incorrectly. That stun is so long, though. What gives?
Asher Nelson
the empty areas really bothered me. other than that, i can live with the edge.
Caleb Howard
Are you fucking kidding? That's MaZe's video, he was shitposting when he made that video and I'm pretty sure Ys VIII is one of his favourite Ys games now. One good player doesn't mean everybody else is going to find those bosses easy.
Brody Martinez
Oath is the best game in the series, play that instead.
Dylan Davis
literally you get to (have to) play other characters than just adol
also, if you die it's not instant game over, you can use revive items on the remaining two
Gabriel Sullivan
Not inherent to a party system per so (though all the party games have it), but the whole weapon weaknesses thing enemies have lacks any depth and ultimately just forces you to switch to characters you don't want to play as. It also gives you a larger HP pool which makes battles more forgiving.
Noah Carter
I like Ys 8 but there's not much arguing against this. Some bosses make it super simple to abuse the iframes.
it is and getting that good with the iframes is also satisfying
Bentley Howard
Based taste
Jayden Jones
MaZe has decent taste for a shitposter desu
Isaiah Edwards
Let's put it this way: A newcomer would think that VIII is a fantastic modern ARPG, but that's probably because they haven't played Oath or Origin beforehand.
Brody Campbell
This shit is even more braindead than KH.
Easton Collins
I'm a complete shitter than sucks at getting flash guards and I managed to cheese that boss too, its hitboxes were just retarded and it was very easy to chain flash moves
Kevin Butler
Based on your post, I'm guessing you haven't played it. At a glance, it looks fun, but then you find out that you do this for every single boss (and enemy). Then you get used to how easy it is to figure out the telegraphing and timing and it becomes dull and repetitive.
Jace Long
I think it's fun because I am shit at this and therefore the battles are still a challenge even with flash guard. Anyway, I think this is most egregious against single enemies. Bosses that have adds just rape me on Inferno.
Adam Watson
No it gets old quick as you realized the fastest way to kill anything is to purposely jump into attacks while doing a flash dodge/guard and the timings on them are actually pretty fucking generous. Literally the only good thing about the game is how cute Dana is, if you wanna be a complete waifu shitter go ahead though
>go back to the falcom discord That's where the danacels and partybabbys come from.
Used to be /ourguy/ but waifufaggotry cucked him out.
Cope more danababby
Jack Martin
best 2hu player (world recorder holder) from 4channel
also huge shitposter
Gavin Cruz
>I >great This single abomination to attack windows and iframes drags it down to average tier. II is fucking great, but since I exists, I & II is merely relegated to good.
>how dare you dislike someone with autism so serious he falseflagged about hollow knight for an entire year and still pops up in every single metroidvania thread to derail it to arguing about him and his opinions Anyone who seriously cares about what he thinks should fuck off to reddit or other forums where sucking off autists with an ego problem is easier
Wyatt Morgan
Explain
Lincoln Torres
I replayed Oath on Ineferno and I gotta say, the first few hours fucking blow. I hate pretty much every early boss aside from Chester and the harpies. But once you get earth magic, the fights get a lot more fun.
Austin Hernandez
he triggers hollow knight fanboys
Liam Miller
dunno about metroidvania threads but i know he goes into platformer threads and beats hard games just so he can shitpost about how casual everybody else is since they can't do it. the guys an autistic shitposter but he's fucking good at games and uses that to fuel his shitposting from what i've seen
Nolan Martinez
Why do touhoufags ruin EVERYTHING?
Leo Diaz
a faglord who can't keep himself from sperging out
A week or so after hollow knight released he started making at least 3- 4 threads per day saying "BUY HOLLOW KNIGHT ITS THE GAME OF THE CENTURY" and sounding as obnoxious and as much as a shill as possible to make people hate Hollow Knight He kept this out for months at the very least until the hivemind of retards known as Yea Forums actually hated Hollow Knight until it got a switch port He always appears in metroidvania threads to post his tierlist of games and on the top tier he has La Mulana(one of my favorite games too, the guy might be mental but he has good taste) and a game called Marrow that nobody except him has played and it's very likely he is the dev Somewhere along the line he played Hollow Knight and finally stopped shitposting about it tl;dr he has unironic autism and anyone who does anything but dislike him has brain damage
Angel Russell
Literallly why does it exist You have no impact on how they are gonna act
Ryder Watson
>When you meme so hard that you get a world record in a fucking SHOOT EM UP of games just to shitpost How many levels of shitposting is he on? I couldn't even get past the red haired bitch in Touhou 6 on normal mode.
Xavier Fisher
Now that's a most impressive piece of art if I've ever seen one. Then again, I've always like the artwork from the RF artist, and now that I know her name, I can properly give her mention.
>Ys/Kiseki game with artwork from her never ever
Lincoln Richardson
>hivemind of retards known as Yea Forums actually hated Hollow Knight The fuck, I've never seen any hate on HK since release.
Colton Cruz
He is what every 4channer wants to become.
Henry Sanchez
>Blowing a bunch of gooks the fuck out at their own national game and writing that English shitpost in a sea of moonroons Holy fucking shit, based.
Mason Cruz
>that shitpost amidst the moonrunes That's what makes it so amazing. We're seeing the aftermath of weaponized autism at work.
Jaxson Bailey
They need to make the blocking work like royal guard. You get way too much invincibility in VIII.
Daniel Johnson
She did the character portrait art (and some other art) for the Gagharv PSP remakes. Too bad the PSP Gaharv remakes were butchered version of the Windows versions or something.
And most of all, not reward you for it. Walking into enemy attacks just to block them and getting some benefit out of it is kind of stupid.
Adam Baker
Playing through 8 now, do adol and dana get alone time or is it always group sessions with the rest
Dominic Russell
Adol never fertilize her aching dino womb if that's what you're hoping for.
Jonathan Gutierrez
Aside from Ys8, what was the last good Falcon game?
Cooper James
Oath in Felghana.
Juan King
Oath in Felghana is the only good game they have ever made
Austin Martinez
Ao.
Asher Miller
I dont get it. even if adol is adventuresexual he could at least be nice and give them a pity fuck since he'll never see any of the heroines ever again
Juan Morris
they get some alone time :3 just do her quests and give her gifts
Blake Lee
Ys I & II Chronicles+
Owen Diaz
How would he fuck a rock?
Jonathan Powell
No can do, man's always on the lookout for his next adventure. He's got his priorities straight, you have to admit.
Wait, why do you fucks hate Ys VIII again? I'm playing through the series and I'm close to finishin 2, I thought everyone loved VIII? Literally every place I've seen likes it except you
>I thought everyone loved VIII? Then you thought wrong.
Nathan Lewis
Forgetting you're on Yea Forums(nel), the center of contrarianism and autist shitposters, much?
Robert Cook
Nayuta no Kiseki
Aiden Perez
oathtrannies time of day
Caleb Scott
>you fucks It's one guy who has been sperging out this whole thread Most people like 8
Charles Long
I never see people talk about V, is it really that bad?
Blake Hernandez
>oh you forgot the silver sword >too >fucking >bad
Ryan Rodriguez
Were you here when Dana's game came out. Fucking so many threads and I had to avoid Yea Forums altogether for two weeks while I played it.
Grayson Stewart
>V Who? No such game exists. Falcom skipped V for some strange reason.
Luke Reed
It's a mana clone and mana is shit.
Grayson Gutierrez
It's not bad, per se, but as the clone of a Soul Blazer game with not as bombastic music, the most memorable thing that it's got going for it is a cool story. Oh, and this track youtube.com/watch?v=AASleixtEIA
Michael Edwards
not released in the west
Cameron Perry
We're all waiting for that inevitably kino Ys V remake, bro
Aiden Butler
sorry but only us oathboomers will understand...stay seething danacel
Gabriel Long
Its not bad but its painfully average
Camden Hughes
I dunno, looks fun to me. Ys games have always been A-AA affairs
Jack Adams
When Dana's game came out, Ys threads were infested with XSeed vs NISA bullshit. Maybe you personally had one good thread about game, but whenever I looked inside, all I was seeing was standard-issue schizophrenic sneedposting, and when it wasn't this, it was Trails vs Ys bullshit, which is kinda same, really.
Michael Diaz
>Gliding through open areas >Running up walls Do the developers want to turn Ys into Zelda Breath of the Wild or something?
I'm thinking by the Gothic architecture that they want to draw in the Soulsborne (and Sekiro, by association) crowd, which is a very large crowd nowadays.
Carson Clark
also i wish they released the PCE version of Feena without any voices
David Foster
Stylistically, I can sort of see that, but gameplaywise it looks nothing like that.
Isaiah Brown
Ahem, attention thread. I LOVE Falcom and there's nothing you can do to change my mind or stop me.
Adrian Murphy
Where's the loli?
Asher Gonzalez
All I have to say is that Ys X should be >CLASSIC ARMORED ADOL WITH SILVER SWORD AND SHIELD WHO WASHES UP ON THE SHORE OF AN ISLAND >RINGS FOR MAGIC FIREBALLS >NO PARTY MEMBERS NO OTHER PLAYABLE CHARACTERS >A TOWER FULL OF MONSTERS THAT GOES INTO SPACE >MAX LEVEL IS 10 >A SINGLE VILLAGE AT THE BOTTOM >TWIN GODDESSES >DOGI SMASHES A WALL >FINAL DESTINATION
I mean, Dragon Quest XI did pretty well, so that's alive. SMT's supposedly alive with the one announcement of V on the Switch two years ago, as well, but we'll see.
Luke Bell
it depends on why you found it boring. the gameplay is largely the same through out, but personally I really liked dana's and the whole eternia story. It did drag on a bit but it was good.
I don't quite remember why. I defeated the big dinosaur and didn't really feel like playing it. But I never got to a Dana segment and it might pick up the pace a little bit
Nathaniel Edwards
Dragon Quest is older than even Ys, so that would invalidate his main argument. Still based for driving Yea Forums into a spiral of depression over their lost childhoods, at least for one day.
Aaron Torres
Where do all of these happen?
I know about feeling up a girl in a dark basement, but thats about it.
Julian Morgan
1) dragon quest isn't dead 2) dragon quest is older than ys 3) dragon quest isn't good no reason to mention it
Bentley Perry
Here's my guess: >First one is brainlet-tier, so that never happens in the games except for the non-canon Dawn of Ys >Second one is Ys VIII with "that" Laxia scene >Third one is the bump games in general >Fourth one is Ys I with the Darm Tower >Fifth one is Ys I where you can feel up Feena >Sixth one is Ys II where you can feel up Tarf >Seventh one is Ys Seven, with the solo fight against the giant Titano >Eight one is a gross exaggeration of Adol's tendencies to shipwreck and go on adventures >Ninth one, and the best one imo, is Ys VI's final boss, the Ark of Napishtim.
>The Claw's Godspeed in Origin had a lock-on function >Clawdol has a claw that can also lock on Yeah, I'm thinking Clawkino is back
Luis Richardson
Dark fact was Kino... With all of its flashy skills Ys 8 couldn't come up with a better designed boss
Asher Baker
But isn't there mention in Trails of how there are lands to the far East of Zemuria and how Calvard is just a nation build by them and the local Zemurians?
Nolan Wilson
Imagine going through danaland as an explorer and you find her sleeping in this position on a tree, what do?
Joseph Ramirez
It will never happen. The only game where it was even implied is now non canon.
