Not with the action rpg coming out. Maybe 2020
I'm actually mad. I wanted to get into xenoverse but with the so many dlc packs I don't know the optimal way to buy all the DLC.
There's probably going to be a Summer sale for it
Still don't know what to buy. Season pass + all extra dlc? Is there an extra dlc pass? A super pass? Fuck they make this shit so confusing.
Nope, Bamco has a strict policy of one big Dragon Ball game per year.
This year we have the Legacy of Goku 1 remake coming out.
Next year will most likely be Legacy of Goku 2 remake.
So I'd say Xenoverse 3 in 2021.
There's two season passes that give you everything except the licensed anime music.
One sec, let me give you the links.
I wish.
Xenoverse is boring
The only dlc pack worth it is 6 because it's the only one with story content.
Base Game:

Season Pass 1 (gives you DLC Packs 1-4):
store.steampowered.com
Season Pass 2 (gives you DLC Packs 5-8):
store.steampowered.com
Pre-Order DLC (was free for Pre-Orders, you're late so you need to buy it now):
store.steampowered.com
This will give you everything except the two licensed anime music packs which aren't worth the money.
Why are you lying?
DLC Packs 2, 4, 6 and 8 all add story but require owning 1, 3, 5 and 7 respectively to access the missions in full.
Just buy all the DLC. Latest two packs (anime + DLC pack 4) are kinda expensive but worth it
Just ask here or somewhere else how to access the DLC missions
Thanks user. Yikes though that DLC pack is expensive. I don't wanna wait for the summer to buy it only for them to announce xv3
They do? Maybe I was just misinformed.
What do they add?
DLC Pack 2 adds the Universe 6 Tournament arc
DLC Pack 4 adds Goku Black/Zamasu arc
DLC Pack 6 adds the Fu story shenanigans
DLC Pack 8 doesn't add story, but it adds the Tournament of Power stage and nuBroly movie based and Gogeta vs Vegetto parallel quests.
No chance. We already have Super Dragon Ball Heroes next week and Project Z later this year, so 2019 is fully booked for DB games.
Best we can hope for is an early 2020 release, but if we get one that early I'd imagine it'd be another smaller release like a Fusions 2 or something, with XV3 releasing in fall like the previous 2 entries.
Don't expect XV3 anytime soon and I mean it dead serious.
Even if XV3 comes, it won't be until next year since this year is the Legacy of Goku 1 remake.
Also, as bonus, you might know that Switch version of Xenoverse 2 got an exclusive DLC that added the entirety of Xenoverse 1 story campaign updated for XV2 engine, but they only released that DLC for Switch for whatever dumb reason (the campaign is much better and less cancerous in XV2 thanks to rebalancing and Super/Hyper armor nerfs and complete change to how Super Saiyan works).
Modders however ported the logic from it for the PC version of Xenoverse 2 so you can get that DLC entirely free on PC.
If you want I can get you the links.
what legacy of goku remake?
I wish they would have expanded the Fu story...there's tons more "what if?" scenarios you could do in this universe. Think the game's probably done with the DLC though since they did that free to play pack.
The Fu stuff was literally just cross promotion/introduction for him into Heroes.
If you want more Fu and crazy shit, just get Super Dragon Ball Heroes next week on Switch or PC.
Project Z. It's an ARPG and the first trailer only shows stuff up to Namek, so the going theory is that it's pretty much going to be a bigger budget Legacy of Goku.

Bamco is doing a full 3D remake of Legacy of Goku RPG.

I wish it covered at least 80% of DBZ anime
Let's hope!
Would it fucking kill them to do an interesting original story?
Xenoverse and Heroes amount to "let's chase the demons from time period to time period until the game ends!" And every other game is just a fucking retelling of Saiyan Saga onward. It's infuriating.
FighterZ came so close to getting it right but the character interactions were often our of character and while the new villian was ALMOST interesting, she just amounted to being Cell 2.0. Really the only thing going for her was her design.
It's telling that when a fucking mobile game has a more engaging story you need to start picking up the fucking slack.
I couldn't stand the xenoverse 1&2 stories
>defeat demigra
>shits still fucked
>it must be demigra!
>but we just killed him
>...it must be the remnants of demigra!
>xenoverse 2
>it must be towa and mira!
>but we just killed them
>remnants!
in 2 years or so
this year is heroes and the next year is that new action rpg
They should go with full Heroes autism
The RPG is coming out this year too
Fusions was great because it didn't try to stick to the main story. It's just a shame it's own story was so weak.
