What type of class do you play when given the choice?
What type of class do you play when given the choice?
Pure mage, covering as many magic schools as possible.
Freeform is the way to go.
>no stealth archer
Shit list
The one that's a little girl.
BERSERKER
Archer is the stealth archer.
Archer or Rogue
Cornac Cursed all day. I want to rampage at level 1.
>no witch hunter
>no battlemage or spell sword
Booo
Last I remember Rogue has the bow skill tree, though you need to unlock it with a category point. And it works okay since you can upgrade stealth to never break on ranged attacks.
>>no battlemage or spell sword
That's Arcade Blade.
Arcane blade is there
For me, it's the Oozemancer
Where's sawbutcher?
wtf kind of class is witch hunter? Anyone can be a witch hunter.
Where is the pic from?
2 hand / dual wield warrior for a first play, then paladin or reaver style class. Usually my last playthrough is with sneaky archer rogue.
Tales of Maj'Eyal
halfling sling archer
Anything that combines melee with spellcasting, from 50/50 spellsword to Paladins and anti-Paladins.
Pure stealth builds can also be fun, depending on the games.
Lol, are you trolling or for real? a Sling archer lol?
Oh shit I knew I've recognized that font. Never unlocked more than the few simplest classes, there's chronomancy and shit
Shadowblade if it's some kind of mix between witchcraft and assassination skills. I'm a sucker for teleports.
I always go for some faith oriented class. Usually ends up being a Cleric or something similar. I prefer mostly spellcasting faith classes like Priests, though.
Classes with a static pet, preferably melee or healing
Nature / lightning mage. Everytime.
Berserker. But it really depends on the game.
Punch man
>witch hunter
you can go antimagic on a bunch of those classes
archers have a sling tree
usually paladin, monk, necromancer. something like that, but in tome4 i started with berserker because it seemed simple and haven't really tried anything else since
But going antimagic makes it much harder to defeat the sorcerers.
The class that let's me ATATATATA the most.
Sometimes it's dual wield, sometimes unarmed, sometimes warmage.
Actual power is irrelevant, i just want to punch you in the face ten times per planck length.
really? what do they do to you?
Oozemancer. Sign me the fuck up.
wait it's because you can't use gloves of dispersion isn't it?
Why don't modern games have indepth class systems like this anymore?
I like lances and spears.
Yes, it's because no dispersion. Fighting Atamathon is also hard because of that, unless you get the spellhunt remnants.
what the h*ck is a paradox mage?
Who can get the most dick in their pussy, beast necro or summon ?
time wizard
Probably illusion heavy mage without direct nuke spells.
Necromancer because I hate actually having to fight my own battles.
Too many skills to animate in a proper 3D environment, more effort put into "balance" than fun, focus on multiplayer rather than single player, lack of creativity to actually make them feel unique.
Possessor, but it's not included on this list for some reason.
Time Wizard.
It and Temporal Warden (time wizard + archer + dual wielding fighter) and the two OP classes in the game. Good thing the devs realize it's a single player game so they don't really care.
The tankiest class there is. Usually coupled with the strongest passive hp regen I can get.
Who gives a shit about dealing damage when you're absolutely invincible
Please do not use such problematic language on 4channel ever again, this was quite offensive.
Say "what the fuck" from now on, thank you.
Fpbp
>Pure mage, covering as many magic schools as possible.
At least chronomancers don't have any abilities that are literally broken, like Touch of Death and Expose Weakness.
The class that's weak as shit at the start and godlike at the end.
I want to earn my OPness.
>pick brawler
>become invincible god of suplex
Summoner/beast master
Any class that I can take control of mobs to fight for me or create adds to pool enemies or aggro. Bonus points if I can solo entire dungeon on my own.
Also I dont like grinding, so summonors usually have the easiest time leveling.
>You're lazy!
I'm also engaged and work
A man of patrician taste
New update/dlc when?
Witcher.
depends on my mood
but it's either mage or, if the game has guns, ranger
>pick brawler
>forced to use kicks to be OP
PARADOX MAGE
FILTHY ACTS AT REASONABLE PRICE
>implying
I've never played the game from OP. Grappling is a bit gay too though. If I can't be a pure boxer there's no point
Edgy sniper or archer where i need to be super precise with my shots and then have people shit on me because i'm actually bad at it and miss all the time because for some reason this turns me on (both)
give me a BIG sword for my BIG strength and I'm good
A mage who uses the paradox resource. Every spell increases paradox and the likelihood of causing a "paradox failure" which causes them to spend a turn creating a random anomaly instead of the spell they were trying to cast. Having higher paradox also increases the power of some of their spells.
>if the game has guns, ranger
Any worth noting examples?
One time after a long stalemate against the final boss of Embers, his paradox got so high that he somehow killed himself with such a cluster fuck I don't even know what happened.
Basically he seemed to open some kind of portal to hell onto himself and it streamed an endless horde of demons and they ate him alive.
>be temporal warden
>best melee
>best archery
>best permanent summons
how do other classes even compete?
torchlight 2
Arcanum
Terraria (isn't really an RPG but whatever)
Still not as durable as archmages and you can't do anything else if you're dead.
>what's the point of time stop if you can't deal damage during it
>realize projectiles you fire are frozen for the duration
White Human Male Warrior
I don't have the autism required to play archmage on insane let alone madness
