I don't get why this is a thing for this game.
isn't it based on a book? maybe the book had more political themes that the game didn't had, although I would consider very dumb to expecting a similar experience from a loot game
>the state of goobergater reading comprehension
By their logic, it takes place in the US so automatically that means that it needs current day US politics. Just like Far Cry 5 and Wolfenstein.
You literally play as a "license to kill" type government agent who runs around DC slaughtering 90% of the survivors because they attack the other 10%. At least most games frame the mass murder the player commits as fighting for survival, in The Division you are straight up killing American citizens Judge Dredd style.
Speaking of which, this game would go from a 5/10 to a 10/10 if it were Dredd-themed
It's too political for me, I'm not a commie leftie that likes mass immigration though so maybe it's ok for some.
Dredd isn't politically correct so it can't exist in current year.
It literally does say "it lacks political heft" though?????
But Far Cry 5 was literally kill whitey sim and even had a quest with the president's fabled pee tape
Look up the meaning of heft and then read the OP again.
That's what he is saying, those games DO have politics.
>"Take back your country"
What did Ubisoft mean by this?
“Journalists” wanted it to condemn civilian self defense and lionize victimhood and total state control. Instead it stays ambiguous other than the intro line, “Did you own a gun? Did your neighbor? Some survived.” They can’t allow that, somebody may hear that and realize, “Shit I might have to defendant myself and my family one day... Maybe I should buy a firearm.”
RRREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! MUH LEFTIST PROPAGANDA IS MISSING!!!!!!!!!! VIDYA GAME BAD BECAUSE IT NOT PROMOTE MUH MASS DISARMAMENT PRO CRIMINAL POLITICS!!
>But Far Cry 5 was literally kill whitey sim
What the fuck are you talking about? Where was this element?
I think they wanted the bad guys to be more alt right types.
Outcasts are mentally damaged folks
Hyenas are thugs and criminals
True Sons are just a radical offshoot of the Army
I think a lot of folks thought the True Sons were going to be some radical Alt Right militia shin dig but instead they're just corrupt soldiers led by an evil black dude which doesn't fit their narrative.
Black Tusks are pretty much neutral as well - their motives are "hidden" but they're not really political at all.
I think these reviewers thought it was going to be like the righteous left bringing in a utopia against the evil alt right nazis that destroyed the world but that's not the case at all.
Why does the left support criminals so much? I hate how being tough on crime makes you a racist now.
You're a fucking retard
name literally one anti-white element in the game
The ganes media (for people who are too stupid to see) know you all hate them, so they are now gas lighting to pretend they don't like games that are political in their favor.
Division 2 is practically an recruitment for Antifa, even the cause of the initial virus is infested money..
What division 2 is doing is akin to raping a bitch and when she asks why you're raping her you say, I'm not even raping you at all!
kek, brainlet
Is this advanced shitposting?
Ubisoft always releases political games and states they aren't political, unless you're 3 this should not work.
It's a new fangled thing called lying.
But that's the opposite for ubishit. Most of the time the game is implied to be politicalbait for controversy points in advertising, then comes out and is as safe and inoffensive to any particular political group as possible. Look at Far Cry 5
It's political bullshit but they don't admit it so they end up annoying both sides
The right just want fun games without propoganda, the left want them to say FUCK TRUMP!
The enemies in division 1 were surprisingly good too.
>rioters
Thugs who take what they want through force to survive after being left behind by the government
>rikers
Prisoners who are legitimately fucked up and awful, who are led by an evil black woman ANOTHA BLACK BODY ON THA PILE
>cleaners
People taking drastic action to try and save what is left of the city, and are actually pretty based despite being a little psycho
>Last man battalion
Literally did nothing wrong, the US government abandoned them in the dark zone and cordoned them off, and they set up some modicum of order in the city and understandably fought against the JTF because they are part of the government that abandoned them.
I remember hearing a voiceline from an LMB grunt speculating if any of the JTF would defect to them.
