Not sure what the sign is for EoL but just because the system is out of production doesn’t mean Sony has comeptley killed support for the system.
For an example, the Wii U got put out of production but Nintendo still released a firmware update that killed the exploit everyone was using. Granted it only took around a week for a similar solution to pop up
