How in the FUCK are you supposed to beat the room with the two cannon niggers in the Sunken Valley?

I'm now in the Abandoned Dungeon and there's an NPC there asking for help with a quest. I am supposed to bring a samurai to him, but how?

It took me NG+ to find out that i can completely skip Corrupted Monk's phase 2

Attached: 1523002501176.jpg (229x343, 10K)

I just beat him yesterday.
He has a phase 2?

How come sometimes when I revive at an idol I have only one resurrection node and have to charge the other two and other times I have all of them?

There's another version, you'll encounter it if you don't choose Shura ending

You've got two kinds of resurrections:
Your 'always recharges' one, it's got the circle icon inside the pink circle. This one recharges by resting.
Then you've got your deathblow resurrections. You gotta die once then deathblow to unlock them and you gotta recharge them with deathblows. They've got the peanut icon inside the pink circle.

i dropped the game 2 days ago after getting my ass handed to me by shinobi hunter and that fatass drunkard

maybe will give it another try sometime later, From games are just not for me i guess

Attached: 1553948283890.png (1280x720, 674K)

Which one?
Also unless it's a boss room you can always just cheese them by sneaking in, killing one, run away and reset the enemies or just run past them.

Can't really tell you which one. Since every attempt at Sunken Valley for me is just depserately zipping around trying to take out enemies quickly without getting shot. But there's one cramped room in cave where a fucking cannon nigger is watching each of the entrances so you can't sneak up on them. I have no fucking idea how to kill one with another one up your ass shooting at you nigh-constantly.

I think I know which room you're talking about.
You can try luring the first one away for a 1 v 1 fight, or you can try using the ash to blind them and go for a back stab (not sure if this works on them though).
If you're really having trouble clearing that room, just run past it, there's an idol just beyond that room.

Can't get past the fucking antechamber in Ashina Castle. The blue dudes just keep fucking my shit up and I can never get just one to fight me, it's always two at the least and fighting two at the same time is just utterly fucking impossible for a skill-less scrub like me.

Without spoilers if possible, does shura ending shorten the game?

Interesting, you can actually skip Isshin's second phase and not deal with his spear faggotry. I even got to half of his posture of the third bar once before he pulled it out. I wonder if it is possible to kill him skipping the third phase as well.

Attached: Sekiro 2019.03.30 - 01.36.01.03.DVR skip.mp4_snapshot_08.43_[2019.03.30_14.33.40].jpg (1920x1080, 1.06M)

Yes.

Cool, thanks

Yes. Basically cuts of the final act entirely and even if you don’t go into NG+ immediately you can’t access the areas of the final act at all.

Tips for Owl.

Now.

I can deflect his shit, but God damn that posture damage.

A Nippon speedrunner tried this, if you clear his second and third phases without him drawing the spear he enters a fourth phase and poised through your attacks and pulls out the spear anyway. Looks like he was designed specifically to troll speedrunners.

cute CUTE

post webms

Learn the dodge timings for his shuriken follow-ups. Get the vitality low enough for red posture bar and then just trade deflects. And you can recover quickly enough to dodge his deathblow if he breaks your posture

Is Sword Saint the last boss? Just wondering if I can finally use up all my items.

Or do I carry them to NG+?

Go to the well where you first came out off

Attached: 1553930363776.webm (720x580, 2.88M)

Which Lazulite is better? Sabimaru, Axe or Flame Vent?

Going for NG. I heard that Laz Sabimaru is a godsend in NG+. Dunno why.

He is the last boss and you carry over everything except key items to NG+, you gotta reacquire all those so you don’t break the progression. You’ll get all the consumables and shit all over again in NG+ anyway so feel free to use all your shit against Isshin anyway.

Kuro SFM when?

Jesus this looks like trash. What the fuck is that combat? What the fuck is that camera? A true cinematic experience? KEK

What’s a good place to farm Adamantite Scraps? I wanna build as many of the prosthetic upgrades as possible before going into NG+.

how do you manage to kill the 2nd phase before he pulls out the spear?

I went back to watch the trailer after beating Sekiro, and I was surprised to see how terrible it looks, don't remember it being so janky

it looks like a true sony experience

H3llo again anons, it's the user who's been in several Help threads. Still having input lag (and now, another) issues.

I'm playing on PC, with a wireless XB1 controller. 1060 card. Windowed mode. I have anywhere from 1/2 to 2/3 second input lag. Some notes on this:

>THIS IS ONLY HAPPENING IN SEKIRO, NOT ONE OF THE 387 OTHER STEAM GAMES i OWN EXPERIENCE INPUT LAG (including the Souls games and even Nioh - I just tested these out last week) - it's not the contoller
>I've tried several graphics options in Sekiro, no change
>I've tried a few options in nVidia Control Panel (like turning VSync OFF) - no change
>an user last week suggested changing resolution from 1440 to 1080, so I tried this - no change

One of the last things I tried actually fixed input lag: changing to fullscreen (again, via Sekiro). That worked. No input lag! However, going fullscreen has caused a completely different issue: I'm guessing due to the HDR mode that gets enabled in fullscreen, when I closed out of Sekiro I found that all my color setups on my desktop/windows were all jacked up. The color/contrast/brightness/gama/etc were aaaaall off, and I had to spend a good 20+min readjusting my color setup. After, just to be sure it was Sekiro and not some ghost nVidia update, I reopened Sekiro and closed it - all my colors were jacked up, again.

SO. I've been waiting patiently for a patch to drop, no luck. I've been posting here and other boards, no luck. I've been searching forums and posts all over the web for this issue, no luck. I'm not playing wired when I haven't had to for ANY other game, and I'm not playing in fullscreen when that jacks up my display. So, I'm boned.

If anyone else has had this experience, at least the PC input lag, and has genuine, actual help/advice, I'm all eyes. Otherwise I'm biding my time for a patch. And if one doesn't come (or it doesn't fix my issue(s)), I'm gonna bite the bullet and just got by a different version. In the meantime, I'm playing through Nioh.

Attached: RVeV3vb.gif (600x360, 2.67M)

You just keep pressuring him, be aggressive, stick to him and hit him at all times, unless he does the quick draw attack (parrying it and then hitting him during the shockwave attack he usually follows up with does good damage)

Looks like Bushido Blade combat from Square back in the day.

After the first deathblow you can keep pressuring him. If done right he won't have the chance to pull out the spear

>H3llo
fuck off

what's this?

This always looked like shit, I cant believe people ware/are actually hyped for it. A generic open world game: Japan edition. You could slap the Assassins Creed logo on this and it wouldnt feel out of place

Man...after playing through sekiro this really looks weak, and i was actually looking more foward to Tsushima

Are the skills from the secod scroll of tengu mask (aftr you acquire all the ashina skills) usefull?

Ghost of Tsushima, the upcoming game from the studio that worked on Infamous.

>one shot bull on first playthrough
>can't even get an opening to hit him on second one
wow I'm fucking shit

I just beat Owl 2 in like 5 tries, he really wasn't that much different than his first fight but still a fun fight and he had some cool tricks up his sleeve

Okay coming from sekiro..... this looks janky as fuck, my god, are people really hyped for that?

Believe it or not, I have no idea why that was spelled like that. I genuinely did not type that tat way..

is owl 2 a good fight? not sure if i cba playing ng+ long enough to reach him especially when i still havent fought emma + isshin either

Anyone?

Yes it's a great fight. It was "kino", as you youngsters would say

>Fighting the Ashina Spear guy in the Reservoir
>Filling his mouth full of oil and just burning him
>Half health, im out of fire
>Panic around the stairs
>Somehow, he got stuck on the side of the start of the ladder and I'm down, so hes attacking the air
>chip damage him with jump attacks till he's out
>got a measly 490 coins and a prayer bead for beating him, not even enough XP to fill a bar
Sometimes, I love this game, sometimes, i hate it.

Attached: 1524536866932.jpg (598x570, 88K)

I just killed Guardian Ape 14vit 6ap and I would really like to not have to fight him again right now, and so far its the only fight I can find is his second one in the depths. Is there anyplace else to farm or explore first?

Sabimaru is good because anything weak to poison gets raped by the Lazulite one. Can’t speak for the Flame Vent and the Axe is pretty fun but doesn’t really feel essential to me.

It's not that much different than his first fight but I'd say it's definitely worth it, especially just to see his new attacks, really fun.

...you need the prayer beads though. That's not a bad reward

someone pls?

No worries, you'll love prayer beads down the line and actively search them out.

No clue. Fuck grinding points in this game honestly. It takes way too long.

Guys I missed out on the Emma/kuro eavesdrop thing. Just beat the divine dragon so I guess fucked up. I exhausted all of kuro’s dialogue and gave him rice from the divine girl but I never got a prompt

Does that mean I miss out on owl 2 and a couple of prayer beads?

Yeah that's whay i was asking, the only skill that seems worthy is ichimonji

Yo Yo Yo

Who here done the bad ending, are Emma and crusty old Isshin worth fighting?

Attached: 1553511942792.jpg (635x413, 25K)

The game has a cool art style and direction but what the fuck is wrong with that combat

at least nioh can sheathe his katana

Attached: 1472303607119[1].webm (1280x720, 2.99M)

After I unlocked it, I have only used praying strikes - exorcism. They can't deflect them

so can sekiro

Divine Abduction isnt working after I gave him the white pinwheel flower thing and when he asks me to abduct him, help?

Somebody please I’m dying

Worst room in Sekiro. You're at the mercy of your camera

Attached: b.webm (650x366, 2.85M)

Yeah, it's a fun boss
Emma puts up more of a fight than Genichiro, but Isshin isn't as cool as his prime self

>Juzo
He's annoying to fight because of the party of mobs aroun him, have you spoken to the guy on the side of the pond who BANZAIIIS the mob? He died but you can help him clear out the mob and I killed Jizo after that.

Sheathe mod for sekiro when

correct opinion

you can also skip phase 1

Can't for the life of me pass the first phase of isshin sword saint. Guess the only way is to tryhard and learn all his moves ?

source?

western dev really can't make good combat

First phase is the easiest, it shouldn't take you more than a minute but yeah, you just need to invest some time if you want to beat him like a man, it took me 4 hours to master the fight but man did it feel good. Or you can always just "cheese" him by poking once and running in circles waiting for an opening.

youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=-dKWnqYE3B0
Skip to about 2:00 if you just wanna see it.

I haven't dropped it yet but yeah, this is about where I'm at. I really like the concept of focusing on the posture weakening instead of the health bar, but it only really feels fun with bosses, and not when they have a goddamn army of mooks surrounding them.

Attached: 1464052690450.jpg (1200x900, 351K)

Finally killed this fucker, where do I go now?

Attached: 20190330003021_1.jpg (1920x1080, 435K)

>*pauses to laugh*
Miyazaki such a troll

Attached: 1536267296175.png (284x373, 145K)

yes, did the same mistake. After you kill the dragon it's basically gg

Solved it, had to longpress RT instead of just tap it

final boss?

>tfw Purification ending
I think it's the most fitting normal ending for Sekiro, pretty bittersweet
Time to get the others
Also i beat sword saint in just like 5 tries on NG+, despite wasting around 1 hour on NG

Always be aggressive, don't let him regain a moment unless you need to heal or regain posture, his mikiri is very obvious although the timing can be a bit odd. When he's about to use Judgment Slash, DO NOT deflect. I deflected them when i was in NG and it's just simply too risky, instead, just yeet some distance, the animation is quite drawn out after he slash and it's a really good window to do damage, which you can't really do if you deflect. Blocking those two attacks will net you chip damages too anyway.

Other than that, it's just a matter of learning his move and be as aggressive as you can, but not to the point of recklessness

Attached: 1517159581763.jpg (600x600, 45K)

Alright, I'll spend a few hours tonight, then. Genichiro and Owl felt so satisfying once I've mastered them, guess it'll be the same for him. The fact that he has 4 phases kinda depresses me thought

Is it just me or does it seem like Demon of hatred is waiting for you to do something after his first deathblow. Like it seems like he just sits there for a solid 4 or 5 seconds before going into his second phase. I'm wondering if there's you can do to deathblow again or kill him outright. Anyone got any ideas?

Yeah, but you can do it, user

Attached: Sekiro 2019.03.30 - 01.42.32.05.DVR.webm (700x394, 2.8M)

Just so you know, he's completely optional. You have to go to Ashina Reservoir, to the same location where the game started

>developed by sucker punch
>people think westerners can make a japanese game

LMAO

It's fucking 2019. Why are retarded dev still locking fun gameplay mechanics behind consumables.

I'm at Sword Saint and I haven't spend a dime on upgrading my prothesis in 15 hours because why the fuck would I bother ? It's locked behind a consumable anyway ? I have like 200 papers but why the fuck would I use them ?

What a fucking piece of garbage game design.

just abuse firecrackers and pocket sand and be done with it

You aren't having input lag, the game doesn't let you animation cancel out of a block or dodge except to jump. You just gotta git gud

whats worse is that you have to grind if you want to get all skills and upgrade all prosthetics

Spawn at feeding grounds idol in the fountainhead palace and run over to the broken pier where there is a guy sitting facing the water and back stab him, then run back to the idol and rest.

Rinse and repeat.

They drop it pretty commonly.

Also, go activate the bell demon before doing this as it will increase drops.

Once you play for a while you will be able to kill the "pre-boss" Genichiro with your eyes closed so it's not that bad, it's worth it user

I think it's just to bait people into attacking him because he releases a shockwave soon after.

Firecracker
Run behind him
Attack attack

I regret nothing

Attached: sekiro 2019.03.30 - 14.13.16.02.webm (1280x720, 2.87M)

Is there a place where you can buy common consumables like the candies infinitely? I'm still fairly early in the game.

kek
"WHERE DID THIS FUCKER GO AND WHY ARE MY ANKLES BEING BITTEN"

>NG+++ finished
>still need some 18 skill points for the last trophy

This is horrible. What a shit way to finish a game. Why is there a balloon for everything except experience?

You only need your trusty katana though, having firecrackers is nice but not required at all

Think of it as ammunition.
Plenty of games have it.

No, it's input lag. Again, when I play in fullscreen, I have no input lag at all. Also, I didn't specify any particular button/action, I said: input lag. As in, in general. As in, all actions.

just focus on parry 100%. once you get the timing you'll be able to get past his first passe without taking dmg

he can attack you back and send you falling

Shamefur. Those guys are there to teach you how to fight

Attached: aa.webm (600x338, 2.97M)

I basically panicked and ran forwards because I had so many enemies behind me and found that there's an idol right after that room.

>5'11" vs 6'0"

thanks

How the FUCK do you beat Armoured Knight?

Yeah, that's the problem. I don't *need* it. But I want to use them because they're cool and give variety to a battle, but the simple fact of having them tied to a consumable you have to grind for is a huge turn-off.

Because the dodge has such a short range and no iframes and enemies track like they have magnets on the end of their swords, I've started instead breaking into 60km/h sprints where ever dodging is necessary. Is this a bad habit that's going to fuck me over?

I got you user.

I trapped the third Drunkard mini-boss behind a door and just poked him until he died.

>why would I use them
But, why would you not? Isn't this more about your not-liking-items complex than the game design? You get more ammo just by beating enemies and can always buymore. I don't see the problem.

Anyone? I can't fucking deal with these blue fucks and they never fucking de-aggro.

Attached: 20190330143122_1.jpg (1920x1080, 236K)

Break his posture and position yourself so that during the deathblow animation you push him over the edge.

they had to stretch the game, otherwise there would be 0 replay value

Nah, I did that for like 5 minutes.

someone post the funny ogre grab

Break his posture while his back is towards one of the broken sides of the bridge, then deathblow him and you'll kick him off the side.

I had, like, three hundred emblems by the end of the game
And I spent every single one of them on three bosses

>get Sekiro for ps4
>super hyped
>haven't touched ps4 in a while
>realize controller has terrible jitters, constantly stops sprinting and walks slowly instead
>apparently this is a common problem with older controllers

This is completely destroying my enjoyment of the game and I really don't wanna spend another 50 bucks on top of the game itself. Fuck my life.

Attached: 1385166377988.jpg (284x253, 19K)

use stealth

Remember the grand wisdoms Dark Souls bestowed upon you and circlestrafe left.

>Retreat into the ceiling
>When they sheath their sword and head back drop down and stealth kill one
>Fight the second honorabruly

wow asscreed combat very impressive

That's a boy?
Oh no, I thought it was the fireplace cunt to finally top Maiden in Black, and it's a girl (male). I've been tricked.

Thanks senpai, will give it a whirl

So for the drunk guy I tried slaughtering his minions 1-2 at a time then resetting the aggro, planning to have that one dude join me as a distraction for the boss. But all three times he apparently gets killed while I run for safety. Any other plans?

Also where is the fire attack thing the merchant tells me about in Hirata estate? Past the drunk or or the shinobi hunter?

Attached: 1369258246272.gif (300x225, 1.82M)

Just run past them and go upstairs to the idol. You will have to fight THE blue guy after thay though.

Just pop a balloon and kill end game enemies for sen and stock up like 100 emblems, it really doesn't take long

In game where mini-bosses are often more difficult than the real thing, finding a way to cheese that guy is perfectly legit.

Then use them? Don't grind, just use the ones you have and get naturally, buy some when you've gotten all the worthwhile items from merchants. I have 950 of them now because there's nothing else to spend gold on.

>literally every From's main character is a manlet
I feel like they're trying to say something there

>No, it's input lag. Again, when I play in fullscreen, I have no input lag at all.
Sounds like an issue with the game, not your controller. Just play fullscreen it alt tabs pretty well

run past them, there's a bonfire very nearby.
This isn't dark souls where you can one man army the entire world, sometimes it's ok to just run away in sekiro. You're a ninja, not some goddamn dude with 100 ton armor and dual Ultra Greatswords.

You sound like those folks who say you "need" to grind for blood vials in BB. Use the tools if you have ammo, don't use them if you don't. Sitting on 200 and not using them because you'd run out if you did is pretty dumb if you think about it.

I think you get the flame vent from the merchant near the first ogre

This is a decent strategy. Backstab the drunk boss when his aggro is reset and you've killed almost every escort.

Also you missed the fire prothesis, it's in the first half of the level, just follow the "main" road and it'll be in a fire. Bandits used to make a bbq

what bosses?

>He hasn't defeated sword saint NG+without kuros charm

Attached: 1551634460297.gif (376x220, 2.62M)

>Is this a bad habit that's going to fuck me over?

Yes

At what point is it possible for me to fuck up the endings? I got Asuna for my first playthrough and I now know that I fucked up by doing that as a first run

No actually disregard this
You can get the flame vent from a camp fire in the hirata estate, it's in like a little village area before the shinobi hunter

im at fountainhead, and just finished my rematch of corrupted monk. I keep reading that there will be more rematches with other bosses but I feel like im at the very end and he's the only one other than the bull, and the ogre at ashina castle. Did I miss rematches?

Isshin, owl 2, demon of hatred

firecracker, not flame vent

Guardian Ape rematch, Owl 2

SS ishin or grandpa "tengu" ishin?

On a lot of bosses this is viable, but there are some where it isn't.

Just use deflect user.
90% of abilities in this game can be deflected.

Alright thanks anons. I knew something was up when they kept giving me oil and I had fuck-all ways to make use of it.

Attached: 1487492916813.gif (360x414, 2M)

You know where that dying guy with his old mother who gave you the bell are? The merchant is pretty much right there on top of the cliff

Owl.

As soon as Owl asks you to choose what you answer will determine one ending. Then once you beat him if you don't eavesdrop on
Kuro and Emma while joigning them you lose another ending. And finally, killing the Dragon without giving Kuro the rice fucks you out of the last possible ending.

It's convoluted.

You can also kill the giant koi in fountain head, if you haven't done that.
Beware, understanding how to the koi is a fucking bitch

buy a new controller from walmart then return the old one in the new box

I don't think you can fight old Isshin and Hirata owl in the same playthrough

did you kill the great koi?
If you haven't, beware it's a fucking bitch to understand how to kill it.

You can't fight tengu ishin and Owl 2 or DoH in the same playthrough can you?

Lore-wise, why is this bad that centipedes are making people immortal ?

And why are the centipedes unkillable anyway ? Just forcefully rip them off the guy and it should be done.

>lot of bosses
literally only 3, and 2 of those 3 are minibosses.
not including headless

he sells the firecracker
you get the flame vent from the hirata estate

>Be at fountainhead
>Old lady asks me to free her dad from his suffering because it's not a life
>Ok
>Meet the dad asking me to feed the giant fish
>Well he looks tough and the old lady asked me to save him
>This obviously means I have to kill him
>Do so
>Look up wiki later
>Absolutely nothing in the quest makes sense

I'm at the bull miniboss now and I have a question about dragonrot:
Is it ok to just cure it once you can? Or is it better to wait until more npcs get it and then cure them?

because its a wretched form of imortality, playing host to a parasite. Everyone who's infested is miserable.

It's better to cure it once you decide to advance their quests

Tfw doomer’s mind causes me to keep trying to kill npc when they ask me to help them with their suffering

After those sword clashing effects in Sekiro this just looks like fucking potatoes

Yeah, it's the game. But:

I currently am doing emmas quest to fight owl in the memory
Im also doing the divine childs quest
and all before i went to the ayylmao place.
Are these 2 seperate endings?

Nah, there's more than 3 than you can sprint around to avoid attacks, but it's not smart to play that way.

It's better to just bite the bullet and learn their combos so you can deflect and counterattack.
Also it will teach you how to recognize sweep, thrust, and grab attacks so you can react accordingly.

The Undying guy seem alright, he's just depressed.

Is this just a funny joke or am i actually supposed to reach that platform. This is 3 gourds later and even after i hookshot to the vine it still isn't enough to reach that. Also advice for sichimen warrior

Attached: Nice.png (1262x720, 1.7M)

Straying from the path of enlightenment set forth by Budda to use a hollow shortcut? Shameful.

It's something about corrupting peoples mind, just look at what happened to the monks in fountainhead palace, they all became Ayy lmaos.
You can even see them eating their own kind, crazy shit.
There are also the monks in Mt Kongo, where they sacrificied children in order to try to get a new kid with dragonblood, rice loli is the only survivor (also possibly ROBERTOOOOOOO)

just realized I almostn ever used fistful of ash in my playthrough that I'm almost done with. Is it useful?

useful to sell lol

you can reach it, its the other way to get to demon bell to activate hard mode

WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

just ignore that jump, its completely fucked and obly gives a bundle of 500 sen

You have to grapple over to the little blue ledge on the side user, not to the ledge you can stand on.

Grapple through the air, and hit square/X when you can grab the cliffside.

Oh yeah user you're right, I got confused for a bit

That's because of muh honary samurai n shieeeet

Flame Vent is found in one of the fires earlier in the estate, it's surrounded by bandits and in the middle of some huts.

My strat was to kill the minions, get a backstab on the boss once his aggro resets and then run to the dude and mash through his dialogue before the boss pancakes you. You might take some damage but he'll help distract the boss pretty well.

That's very clever

Attached: 1522632853575.png (343x432, 213K)

Unlock Mikiri counterattack for spear enemies
Also you can cheese Juzo by stealth attacking mobs from the left side corridor. Mobs will chase you after a kill but Juzo wont overextend to the other side of that said corridor. Use it to clean mobs, then take 1hp from Juzo with a stealth attack and run towards samuraibro so he can help you with the last life.
Godspeed

which ending do i want if i need prayer beads

It's useful against some annoying fucks like the ogres and the drunkards

>when you realise the rice is actually centipede eggs

How do I get to the top of this buddha?

Divine Confetti and rush his ass, if you hit him enough he stops casting.

Attached: file.png (871x924, 1.08M)

lul, I ended up killing him to see if he dropped anything before finding the thing that I needed to set him free.

The reward is pretty mediocre anyway.

Is there anything over there or am i wasting my time? I went to the underground and theres the warrior that its giving me some trouble and as an alternative i have to kill Genichiro. How much can i fuck around until i have to fight that faggot, i don't like that boss

but that's just a theory

Yes

walk through the pathway snake eyes boss was guarding and look up and to your left, there is a grapple point that leads around to it.

_ ____ ______!

the ending with Owl 2 gives you 2 more prayerbeads, but it's just better if you go for the true ending involving rice loli, if this is your first playthrough

what does it do to other bosses? nothing?

I thought kotaro wanted me to kill him when he kept saying "spirit me away"

It isn't. stop spreading that bullshit.

Hold the fuck up
I remember this place, but it looked different for me
I jumped off wooden planks, and the grapple point was concealed behind that rock to a greater degree
It was daytime Senpou though, does the structure of the level change as time progresses too?

Attached: 1552070442926.jpg (501x434, 61K)

You know the entrance to double ape? There's a little cliff there that you jump down to fight them right before the dying guy, if you look up there's a grapple point

its ng+ I did shura ending first which was a mistake

It's a pathway to get to the demon bell.
If you don't know what that is, ringing it basically activates "hardmode".

Enemies do a little more damage, but they also drop more items.

However, there is a much easier way to get to it from Ashnia Outskirts.
Going the way of your screenshot just opens up a completely unnecessary shortcut.

You can do quite a bit before fighting Genichiro, but I'd suggest just killing him, user.
You have to do it eventually.

what does divine confetti actually do

the description it is so fucking vague

THE blue guy is a huge pussy, you just parry his one attack like 6 times for each health bar and you the future is now old man him to death

>hirata estate 2

Attached: face28.jpg (750x864, 178K)

For the warriors just confetti up and go full aggressive, the less time he has to cast his Kamehameha the better, it’s his only real dangerous attack.
Eat pacifying/purple goard if he hits you too much, take an extra dose when he teleports away

It stuns them too but I personally find the ogres and drunkards to be the most annoying enemies which are hard to deal with so I just like to throw ash in their faces for free attacks

>path to drunkard v2.0
living is quite overrated indeed

You'll understand when you meet the apparitions.

How the fuck does the jump kick work? The secong I get airborn in this game the controls and camera just starting shitting themselves uncontrollably. Hitting it seems to be based more on probality than on execution, since I'm always executing it the same way but only every 5th time he actually fucking does it.

does damage to ghost enemies like headless

Let you do a lot more damage to ghosts

It lets you damage apparition type enemies.
There are no main bosses that require it, but you pretty much need it for Headless, and it's highly suggested to use it against Shichimen Warriors.

OKAMI WARRIORS HAVE C U T E F E E T

nigga you blind
that white line on the wall ain't for nothing you know
if only there's a ledge grab mechanic in the game

How do I get to the other side of that door in the main hall at Senpou Temple? It says I have to open it from the other side but I can’t find a way to reach it.

west cant into melee combat

why do I have to fight genchiro everytime i fight sword saint

Keep playing the game. You have the finish ashina castle first

Warm up

Jump into the water and find the cavern entrance to the right of the lake

Well you know 100% that those environmental effects will be downgrade in the actual game.

it's those fucking animations. they have no flair.
the anatomy and style of the character is shit too.

how do you even unlock this?

That's the one where you can sneak in from the side ain't it? Just lure them out one by one with clay shards and stealth kill them.

>made it to the second ape bossfight
>am just now realizing there's a significant difference between blocking and deflecting
Holy fuck no wonder I thought this game was so hard.

Attached: 1439148885375.jpg (1202x815, 80K)

Ya dude the game isn't as realistic as Sekiro giant sparks thrown all over the place every 2 seconds while blocking a spear from a giant enemy

this

>people think this pile of shit will beat Sekiro
L
M
A
O

Eventually you'll be able to whip Genichiro's ass without breaking a sweat.

After SS Isshin fight, I went into NG+ and actually beat Genichiro at the start of the game.

>skip phase 1 and 2 with stealth kill
>cheese phase 3 by spamming firecrackers
>still works even on NG+++ and beyond
lmao

You know what I like about this game? No dual bosses. No, 2Ape doesn't count because you only need to kill one.

Lazulite axe does a ton of posture damage, but is essentially worthless compared to ichimonji double. Flame vent combined with living force is dope af, gives you a purple fire sword every time you use it. Not sure about sabimaru

Tips for Owl 2?

I'm starting to get the patterns down but i'm barely using my prosthetics or items. I'm curious to see if there are any particularly cheesy strats they can enable.

So I found the hidden kite route at the Monk temple which lets me sneak up on the giant white snake so I can stab out its heart through its head, which is a key item somehow, but the snake is still alive when I go to the caves beneath the poison valley somehow? Were there two snakes to start with? Also behind the poison valley snake there's a temple which also holds another piece of giant snake guts, but what the hell are you even supposed to do with this?

How did you even beat the centipede Sen’un guys or the Ashina elite?

He meant the True Monk, not corrupted.

I'm not sure if you know about this one but if you keep your guard up your posture regenerates faster also

Don't you fight Genichiro like three times?
Also there's plenty of recycled minibosses.

help

Attached: generals.jpg (2558x1407, 1.13M)

after you beat owl you have to eavesdrop and talk to kuro/emma
then talk to emma at the grave and eavesdrop/talk to her at the sculptor

I already killed Isshin, am I out of luck?

go to the left
you can skip that fight completely
or come back from the other way and backstab/puppet the second guy

Attached: 1553914637011.png (267x495, 275K)

There's a soldier sitting to the side that you can sneak attack->ninja smoke, which allows you to stealth kill or puppet the extra samurai

Do you have any Gachiin's sugar or Gachiin's Spiritfall?

If so, you can use it to sneak up on the swordsman.
I recommend puppeteering him.

then you've already been there
it's where the rice loli is

Nioh is so fast, fluid and responsive compared to sekiro I feel like i'm playing a WWE game with sekiro now.

>gameplay looks like shit but the aesthetic is amazing
Why doesn't the west just team up with the east already?

Oh shit I’m just retarded and never unlocked the door lmao.

Attached: 1447462632902.png (427x344, 127K)

The first centipede guy was pretty easy. I just ran backwards while waiting for his combo to finish, hit him with the flame vent, and wailed on him. It took a bit of time but I already stealthed the one hp bar off of him so it wasn't too bad.
The second one was a bitch though. Not enough room to run and the flame vent didn't seem to work, so I stunlocked him with firecrackers and used the double whatever the fuck it's called. Took me a decent number of attempts to get him.
Ashina elite I just used the same cheese strat that you use on lady butterfly. Not the quickest way, and he fucked me up a few times.
No I did not know that. Thanks for the tip.

Why do people say Ichimonji is useless? It's one of the best punish move in the game.
Boring, maybe, but far from useless.

Attached: 1540586896626.webm (1280x720, 2.9M)

>Beat Gaynichiro at the start of the game
>Arm gets cut off anyway

Attached: 1327575007802.jpg (480x721, 125K)

The safest plan is to take out ALL the minions by luring them out with the shuriken, aggro the boss and reset him, backstab, then have the samurai dude join you. The samurai seems to target mooks first so even just having one left behind is a liability.

It's name is still Corrupted Monk.

i bet this shit cost like 5 times more than sekiro

Attached: 87598.jpg (258x245, 12K)

i havent seen anyone say it's useless
it's generally agreed to be the most useful usable skill

look up "purification ending"

>tfw NG+5
>got all bosses's pattern down
>mfw can unleash the power of charged double ichimonji then proceed to parryfest without ever worrying about my own posture
>mfw bullying a lot of bosses i've had trouble with before
Literally no better feeling

Attached: 1459524441388.jpg (250x177, 13K)

Are the Monk combat arts worth investing skill points in?

I think you have it backwards user, it's widely considered the only Combat Art in the game that is actually useful.

Every other combat art involves spending emblems to do long, punishable wind-ups into comboes that all get blocked by the enemy, achieving nothing of any value.

Jump straight up (leave left stick neutral) when enemy sweeps, spam jump buttong in air

Oh is it?

I just remember the battle memory was named True Monk.

No, best ending is true ending AKA return ending, because everyone lives in that ending, and it's a cliffhanger for a possible sequel.

Also Rice loli

Attached: 20190329204829_1.jpg (1920x1080, 400K)

I don't mean repeat boss fights, I mean fighting two bosses at the same time and having to kill both to proceed. Stuff like O&S, Ruin Sentinels, Twin Demons, Shadows of Yarnham, etc.

>NG+3
>Died to double ape many times
>Died to owl many times
I still have ways to go before I become one with the katana

I think the Leaping Kick and High Monk can be used to heavily punish sweep attacks, but I prefer just jumping.

Praying Strikes are alright. It does pretty decent posture damage, personally I prefer other combat arts.
Really it's just preference.

That's exactly what I'm doing. And it works 20% of the time at best.

Somewhat, yeah. Praying strikes is OK but what's good in that skill set is the high monk kicks. It's no ichimonji but against sweeping attacks that shit is godly. Honestly even better than your default mario stomp.

Demon of hatred is a very unfun boss that I question if it even belongs in this game.

I think using high monk for sweeps is more rewarding than jump kick, but sometimes if the sweep has multiple hits jump kick is still better because it interrupts the attack.

im looking for the cave underwater, in fountainhead palace, where is it?

I guess they just named the memory True Monk to set the second fight apart from the first.

Attached: Capture.png (822x187, 269K)

right side

I noticed that you actually have to collide with enemy's hitbox, so you might have to steer yourself in the air a bit but yeah, that mechanic is kinda wonky imo

FUCK owl 2 and FUCK his ability to mikiri counter YOU

Battle memory is called true monk, but the fight isn't

>double ape
pattern is ezpz, use spear's dragmove when he stumbles over after parrying his overhead slash
2nd phase burst his wife's son with yashakiri+charged okinaga flame+living force
>owl
NEVER LOSE AGGRESSION
he'll be stuck in a loop of trying to jump away from your R1 or countering with 1 slash/3 hit slash
the trick to his elbow>firecracker slash combo is to stepdodge away, this literally avoids it entirely which then you can punish with a ICHIMONJIIIII

Attached: 553734.jpg (400x355, 11K)

all the way to the right, near the sunken house.
You can't miss it.

The leaping kick and it's upgraded version is great against enemies who loves to use sweeping attacks. Shit will deal a lot of posture damage if you managed to dodge a sweep attack with the skill. The only trade off is that it doesn't have an interrupt so if the enemy can follow up their sweep with another attack you might be boned. Over all it's a fun skill to style with.

If you haven't fought Genichiro's 2nd phase with it I suggests that you try it.

>I'm at Sword Saint and I haven't spend a dime on upgrading my prothesis in 15 hours because why the fuck would I bother ?
>using prosthetics at Sword Saint

Nigga the boss has three phases, no amount of Prosthetics is gonna help shitty ass out. Either learn his moveset and parry his ass or you are never gonna make it.

thanks bros

Attached: dead.jpg (1915x1080, 817K)

Any tips against Ishin in the shura ending? He's kicking my ass in the 2nd phase

>shura

You all DID only kill the central forces during the invasion section right Ashinabros?

Attached: ASHINAAAA.jpg (1280x677, 160K)

You know, I just remembered something.

When you first find Owl in the estate, he tells you that the Master is absolute, but when you fight him, he tells you that the parent is absolute.

Which one should I fight first Genichirou + isshin or demon of hatred? Which one is harder?

>TFW you spend an hour last night fighting the carp only to realize he cant be killed normally

WHY THE FUCK DID HE HAVE AN HP BAR MIYAZAKI

Attached: 1551978286687.png (489x448, 267K)

where can i buy pellets

isshin is harder, but it doesnt matter what order you do them in

I want to take her home

Attached: cc6.webm (1220x686, 2.96M)

You can cheese him with the shadowrun art.

To bait people in to trying to fight it lul

LMAO fuck Ashina

Tokugawabros WW@?

Attached: 1553869021029.jpg (2000x1454, 289K)

It does, you get extra memories so the other will slightly easier.

one more attack power makes very little difference

How big is the chip damage you take if you give the charm to Kuro?

Why didn't isshin ever order his peons to stop trying to kill me

Two if you go for genichiro first.

damn, puppeteer looks more and more fun each time there's more uses found out of it.

attack power literally doesn't matter
>t. 57 attack power

It's not bad at all.

There's none if you deflect rather than just block.
There might be some for deflects on more powerful attacks, but I haven't seen any yet.

I grinded 3 levels and I can feel the different when fighting mobs.

Attached: Corrupted_Monk_gets_bullied_2.0.webm (640x360, 2.94M)

only the sleeping maiden at the end before the boss fight, because she has at least a cute face to boot

I'm having a lot of trouble killing him in ng+, any tips?

Attached: 1553913649320.jpg (1023x1448, 578K)

I have come to the conclusion to drop it now. I really like the combat system and mobility, but i hate that all bis bosses have 10 mooks around you have to boringly kill first to progress. This is just hardness, without fun. It's like a 5 minute loadscreen until you can get threeshotted by the boss again. And the counters don't trigger for me correctly. Mikiri or whatever i can land with 100% accuracy on the training guy and on normal spearmen. but i have not been able to do it against the shinobi hunter once. I just don't have the reaction time i guess.
I am stuck on hunter an the snake blocking my way.
Thats just it for me.

So what do I have to do, kill him? The sword passes through him

What do her eggs taste like?

Attached: otZYHYJ.png (334x437, 341K)

Do you need to have the divine confetti active to deathblow the Shichimen Warrior at all? I'm trying to do it without it, but when I try to sneak attack jump deathblow from above it isn't working, and neither is the anti-air deathblow.

Attached: emil looks at computer looks at you.png (491x604, 237K)

you can skip the hunter. just swim around him.

1) those are mini bosses that can be skipped 2) many that people think you have to clear out you actually don't, Seven Spears for example can be done with only one mook kill

menarche

Sorry to tell you this... but....

Attached: F_1.jpg (1280x700, 139K)

NG+ is literally a glorified bossrush since you know your objectives this time around, lotsa fun
That aside Owl 2 is the un gimped version of him, completely new patterns, almost none reused unlike Isshin Ashina and Isshin SS's first phase

The rule of thumb for both of those fights is still the same though, NEVER LOSE AGGRESSION
Owl 2 especially gets a lot of dangerous moves when you move away from him, Shadowfall, phoenix owl and teleporting slash to name a few
Instead you can compete parry and when he takes a huge jump away, sprint towards him
Even if he's going for the unblockable sweep, as long as you manage to get R1 in he'll be stunned since very few of his moves have hyperarmor

Attached: 1553352313941.jpg (750x974, 85K)

Attached: GuardianPeep.png (1233x1357, 390K)

Nope, you can deathblow Shichimen without confetti. They’re immune to the drop down deathblow though, and the timing for aerial deathblow is incredibly finnicky.

I am having an awful time with the combat, BUT I am also having bad fps drops and using an old controller whose buttons don't react well. How much would the combat improve if I got the ps4 version?

I beat him by just being very aggressive, always be in his face, counter every attack and try to dodge behind him when he throws his fireworks for lots of damage

give him the pinwheel of your choice (white is for his best ending), get the absuction prosthetic, longpress RT in front of him

I've heard anti air deathblows work against them only with confetti. You also cannot stealth drop them either. Sounds like you're at the waterfall one, by that point the merchant at the dilapidated temple sells them.

>butterfly slash dodge strat doesn't work for me on NG+
welp

post yfw DOUBLE headless IN THE WATER

Git gud

There's literally like only 3 boss that fits this description
>Enshin of Misen
>Seven Spears if you didn't stealth through right cliff's hookpoint or left cliff's hanging ledges
>Tenzen Yamauchi
For Enshin, just pick off his mooks one by one and if it gets tough, hook away to the nearby tower by the bridge since it counts as 'hiding spot' thereby losing their aggro
Do Mikiri 1 second after the kanji appears

>you can deathblow Shichimen without confetti.
>the timing for aerial deathblow is incredibly finnicky.
>I've heard anti air deathblows work against them only with confetti.

Attached: i don't know what's happening.png (1278x1116, 1.28M)

That was some awful ass shit I tell ya what.

water headless are a fukkin joke though?
You can just circle around them and slash when they do one of their slow-ass swings

You can perform normal deathblows without confetti, but anti air recquires confetti and a stealth drop one they’re flat out immune too.

>mfw ended up dying with 5% of his health remaining 3 times in a row

Attached: 1547294723025.png (593x635, 210K)

>NG+
>still using cheese
With the added attack power and various skills in your repertoire, no excuses to not play it aggressive
it's fun bullying HUMAN bosses in NG+

Thank you.

I feel like I can't parry as much in NG+ it fills my bar up like mad

I was able to deathblow the shicimen in the waterfall once by jumping over him but wasn't unable to repeat it ever again.

Demon is hard. I can sometimes avoid the bellyflop but I can’t figure out how to avoid the dash attack. Comes out too damn fast to dodge away and it can’t be blocked. Any hints or general advice?

This is wrong.

If you try and deathblow him with confetti it's extremely easy and the prompt shows up immediately.
Without confetti it never shows up, or if it does it's so rare that there's no point.

I don't know how the Lapis Flame Sword combo factors in it.

Attack power helps against Demon of Large HP

How? I feel like it's going the same rate
Is this the fextralife "NG+ you can't deflect as much since the bar fills up way faster" meme? complete bollocks

I'm almost certain it isnt

>giant snake after the Chained Ogre
Holy hell. Anything I should be doing there aside from just not letting it see me? Am I able to kill it?

Unlock and run

just jump up

Jump. Jump.

anyone else have a love/hate relationship with DoH?
At times he's a cool fuckin' boss and tough as fuck and a fun fight
But sometimes he just turns on the asshole switch, keeps running away and spamming his near-instakill flame attacks, dragging the fight on for so many extra minutes thanks to having to chase this asshole bag of hitpoints around the arena.

SHH dont tell him

Attached: 1553507449058.jpg (1024x1024, 121K)

Your stamina does indeed decrease at a slower speed. Even when guarding to speed it up. Posture damage is naturally increased along enemy damage so you're generally sitting at higher values unless you dump that shit.

I found him one of the worst bosses in the game, not even hard, just boring.

It's just a cool little sequence to get you to the next area, nothing you can do about that snek

>still missing 7 beads
>genocided everything in the game
>no idea where they are since they're obviously not drops
waaaaaah, getting pretty close to looking at a FAQ because I really don't want to go through every fucking area again above and under water.
are some of them locked behind other routes/endings and whatnot?

Getting hit from offscreen still sucks with them both constantly throwing massive homing TERROR shit at you. And you can't use pacifying agent underwater either.
that fight sucked

He's mind numbingly easy. Nothing he does has the ability to actually hit you.
>Dashes
Run at him and attack his nutsack while he impotently throws fireballs over your head
>Does the whip arm slam
Either jump to the left or right and hook or ignore it completely with fire fan
>Fire hair fireballs while dancing
Run in a circle around him
Everything else is dodging to the right because his moves have shit tracking and reaction dodging everything. The only downside is the amount of health he has. But it doesn't matter how much health he has in comparison because he's such a jobber.

Tips for Headless? Limiting the player's mobility is such a lazy ass way to make bosses harder.

You see that snake? He's solid. Therefore he is there to remind you THIS IS A SNEAKING MISSION

Snake is literally just 4 jumps.

Which boss should I go towards beating first, lady butterfly or genichiro?

Confetti isn't just for parties

Is nioh easy after playing this game, I dont remember how it felt

Yeah, first time I was just really surprised and watched him do his thing. Then he saw me and smacked me off the branch I was on and down the cliff. Good shit.

Come back later.

If it is later, get the Phoenix Lilac Umbrella and just use that.

Why is literally every fromsoft NPC in every game insane, retarded, senile or all 3?

Where in the outskirts? I could use better drops

>tfw you can't party with Isshin and Emma and drink sake all day
Fugg

Yeah, I know but for example what just happened to me.

Confetti up, rush his ass, deathblow him, he comes back. Shitty fog is up again, he appears behind me, can't dodge, can't jump, die. Revive without confetti buff, can't confetti up because LMAO U CANT MOVE XD

Confetti and umbrella-ella-ella

>muh realism

My early game went Ashina Outskirts UNTIL ogre, then divert to Hirata Until butterfly, then return and kill ogre/general/horse/maybe bull/ then butterfly

She's much easier once you have 1 or 2 health upgradea

Meh, all i can say is you're doing it very wrong if one does not parry what can be parried, especially since you've essentially gained every enemy's basic in the first NG. It's what keeps encounters fun too, perfecting parry and punish timings.
pic related's my #6 playthrough, but not until #5 did i realize Double Ichimonji is busted because of your points.
>posture decreases at slower speed naturally
>ichimonji immediately decreases a huge chunk of it (times two)

Attached: 56536264_2905840972767077_5394066478066565120_n.jpg (960x540, 49K)

When he tries to go for your ass just jump away, it will give you enough room for heals and buffs

Whenever he disappears, he always appears behind you. Turn around almost immediately and hit that area. He won't have enough time to grab.

When he disappear start moving around you camera, he will appear behind you and instally attack him with you sword.

The problem is if you are near a wall he will start his attack faster and you literally can't block/counter or anything so stay away from walls all the fight.

Just beat O'rin and the Monk, they were underwhelming

finished my first run, got the ending where you give Kiri both tears, I know there's an alternate path where you betray kuro and I aim to do that, although I'm certain I missed the second owl fight, so need advice how to make sure not to miss it next play through.[\spoiler]

Attached: 1553890260323m.jpg (799x1024, 89K)

damn it feels good to go back on NG+ and just steamroll bosses once you've learned their patterns. being constantly up in the enemies' faces and just smashing them and deflecting all their moves feels good

Attached: 1553078603963.gif (128x74, 25K)

>6th playthrough
>still broke

You should ask the young lord for a raise.

It's easier than any soulsborne NG+ imo
The tools you have completely outdone your enemies, even when they have interesting movesets like Date or Sanada's
LW+ Weakness+ the gajillion attack buffs from armor and perfecting your ethereal weapons makes any fight a contest to oneshot

How do you stealth phase 2 of yo y have stealthed phase 1?

how or when do i eavesdrop on ishin and kuro

I'm not doing it wrong if I get perfect parrys and its still noticeably worse than NG

The whole last area is filled with weak shit.

I just cleared the whole camp and used the Drunkard strategy, run around like a retard until he does the ONE attack that leaves him opne

most of the minibosses are absolutely fucking bullshit

I just got Mibu water breathing technique. Should I retrace every water area I've been to? Or is it one of those 'use this thing once at a specific spot' thingies?

Also that boss was really good. Slow enough so you could adapt to her, but also demanding.

As soon as you beat owl.

There's 4 endings, Immortality Severed is the normal ending. You betray Kuro when a certain someone asks you to halfway thru game

There's 2 other endings, Purify and Return, both requires you to stay loyal to Kuro and then perform certain actions. 2nd owl is exclusive to the Purify ending, one of the 2 alts

I would just look up a guide for diving spots.

Too many places have literally nothing in them except enemy fish.

you can cancel attacks into a block on their startup though
really useful for when you misread what the enemies gonna do

trying to do the true ending

>have collected the two snake Visceras
>gave the divine child the text (forgot its name)
>fed rice to the two women who wanted rice
>gave divine child a persimmon
>received Rice for Kuro
>gave it to Kuro
>Had the cute scene where I ate the special rice Kuro made for me
>Went back and divine child just has her back turned to me at the Inner Sanctum

What now? I've beaten the game twice already, on this third save I'm at Fountainhead Palace and I don't wanna fuck this up.

>doing it wrong
What? I'm just reaffirming that posture restores naturally slower. Your posture regains slower.

I know all about how silly ichimonji is. How much HP damage dragon flash is. And why bosses that need hp loving melt to one mind.

NG+5
NG+1
and NG respectively. All after my first NG cycle being with no Charm and Demon Bell.

There's tons of silly things. Like the fact that people are still sleeping on Bestowal Ninjutsu. Sleeping on Yashariku or really all of the Sugars. And haven't actually found what's good about the spear.

Attached: xvgxRSf.jpg (1920x1080, 451K)

You should definitely check every water area, lots of good stuff hidden around including beads

>tfw just spent 40k off farming the central forces on Ungo Sugars
Ran out of things to buy tbqh, got 400+ Ako and Ungo ones now for maximum bossbullying
It might not be widely known, but the more useful Ako Sugars Anayama sells infinitely once you progress his quest up until he has either Kotaro/Sakuza as his lackey
but before you kill Divine Dragon, since pic related happens

hug the wall

If you want carp scales yes.

The enemies can do it as well. Funny when you both start a swing and then immediately block instead.

Talk to her. She'll ask about the rice ball you hate in front of kuro.
Rest. Go to the illusion realm.
Talk to her there.
Go to the cave that leads to the monk book and you'll see a dead monk with an item.
Take that item.
Give it to rice child.
Rest.
Eavesdrop on the door.
Rest.
Talk to her and get the frozen tears.
Finished.

did you give her persimmons
did you give her the text from the priest

How's Bestowal? Doesn't it only slightly buff your damage but the range is its main thing?
>Yashariku
true, it literally makes the slower bosses melt especially apparitions paired with confettis

How the fuck do you have around 100 hours when the game came out 1 week ago.

Is there any way to grind Lapis Lazuli?

Wait, you can send the samurai dude to the merchant?

I did a little bit of testing right now, you can stealth drop deathblow him if you use a stealth sugar and a confetti. Without one or the other, you cannot perform it consistently.
There can be a lot of hidden shit underwater including beads, more scales, bait, and at what point you need it to progress in a level.

No.

is purify ending the one where you give kuro the single dragon tear only?

List of tips for starters:

-Get Mikiri Counter skill as soon as possible.
-You can stealth a lifebar off almost every single miniboss.
-Dragonrot doesn't kill NPCs, it only interrupts sidequests, and the item used to heal it is rare but you get more than enough throughout the game.
-You can farm Divine Confetti from the blue samurais inside Ashina's Castle
-It's not worth it using the Snap Seeds on Lady Butterfly.
-Fistful of Ash is extremely useful against humanoid bosses.
-Firecrackers can help you cheese most bossfights, but they have a cool down so don't spam it.

What else?

>Like the fact that people are still sleeping on Bestowal Ninjutsu.
Bestowal was great to deal with faggot Okami Warrior at Great Sakura. It's basically a minature Mortal Blade.

What are the secret Strong's, user? I'm early in game, I haven't fought Genichiro yet, was gonna try to get to the temple early by running past headless

No, it's like Slabs. If anyone tells you they're a rare farm drop, they're lying.

You get 6 per playthrough assuming you complete all the requisites, so you only need two playthroughs to upgrade them all.

So is centipede giraffe a dead end for now or did I miss progress in the bit below his arena where you can also find the prayer beads?

>how's bestowal
The main thing you use it for is it's damage through block. High posture damage. Slight vit damage, and increased range. You can't be deflected (as in you aren't affected by their yellow deflect). Combined with a few arts, it's rather obscene.
>Spear
Without going to far on a tangent. It lets you steal turns in the offense tug of war.

Yes, but i'd advise against it since the dude gives you an item that makes you have 5 revives
>3 standard node with sakura droplet
>1 with bundled jinzo
>1 with jinza's jinzo from the end of his questline
very useful in crutch situations, used it against SS Isshin when we're both at our last legs as assurance.

>-Firecrackers can help you cheese most bossfights, but they have a cool down so don't spam it.
What cooldown?

is getting the stone after the monk the point of no return?

No, dragontears+everblossom you get from Owl (EL GRANDE PADRE)
which leads you to kys

Chasing slash is goat for mobile enemies, especially when paired with shuriken

Rush down the Ashina Sword skill tree ASAP, almost all of it's skills are useful but it specifically Ichimonji 1/2 and Ascending/Descending carp. Only it's end cap, cross, is shit really

WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE FINAL CARP SCALES I NEED 4 MORE AND I’LL HAVE BOUGHT ALL THEIR SHIT

So how long is this game actually? I just beat genichiro but it feels like I've been playing this game fucking forever, it's starting to wear me down

He stops selling shit after the divine dragon?

>a few arts
name a few? Does it work with shockwaves from the Mushin trees?

There have been people who claimed that the wizard feebling guys can drop it. I tried it but I didn't get any for an hour of farming. Here's what I know, three can be obtained from pot noble. One from a pick-up after helping one of the two of them, two from shopping at either. Three drop from enemies. One from the ghost warrior at the waterfall in the Fountainhead. Two from demon of hatred. That's a total of 6 out of 10 needed for all upgrades.

>beat isshin
>get return ending
>start ng+
>use 6 healing gourds and die once to the first general

Attached: 5678568.jpg (251x242, 12K)

I beat butterfly.
Where to go? I am kind of lost. Only thing i have is to find out what samurai like.
I need to rescue the kid still but i don't want to miss things.

Im getting my shit pushed by the seven ashina spears guy, i stealth kill his first life and can consistently mikiri counter - > deflect but other than that i dont know what do,
Help frens

Did you get those in the river where the snake broke the bridge?

No worries I cheesed ogre by stealthing one of his bars, then I threw oil and flame vent to interrupt most of his attacks. Fuck grabs. I haven't cheesed anything else tho since I've learned to play the game.

but people said NG+ is easier than NG?

Genichiro is like a qaurter to a third mark.

When in doubt, Flame Vent it out.

If you use them on bosses twice in a row within a few seconds they'll just ignore it.

i am just a shitter who cant deal with slow attacks

Go back and just continue exploring Ashina Outskirts. Kill the ogre if you haven't and just continue progressing, it's hard to really get too off track.

In order to progress further at the Gun fort, you need a key that can be obtained after beating the boss at the top of Ashina Castle.

Why everyone after Kuro so much when this thing exists

Attached: 20190330160202_1.jpg (1920x1080, 299K)

I don’t think I can turn on Kuro, boy is too good and pure to harm.

Attached: 66C99ADF-1BA9-476D-9D17-A6F9AFBD54BC.jpg (805x1024, 170K)

use the spear and attack from afar
15 emblems will take down his lifebar entirely, assuming every attack hits

Yes, because he dies after getting all his things raided by central forces, and his mate getting killed yet the guy still cheerfully said "Kotaro's sleeping soundly... Don't make that face!"

you have to get good at him. there's going to be another boss you'll face who fights like him and you're going to get your shit smashed in if you can't beat a halberd user.

>Kill giant snake.
>Land on cliff.
>Fall down.
>Now can't get the items that were up there.
Sure I'm a dumbo for falling down but this pisses me off.

I'm guessing the Snake Eyes type enemies are supposed to be ignored until the end of the game? They seem utterly overtuned.

Guarding restores your posture faster

Took me a few tries to kill him I think I took a lot of his life with stuns then did that shit because it works faster. I was more annoyed with how a shitty enemy in the distance yellow arrowing would walk all the way up to us from 2 miles away if I took to long and never went even 1 stair below towards them.

Getting the stone and the flower both is what makes Ashina castle get invaded
After that defeating the dragon is the next point of no return

i hate slow attacks as well

I always deflect way too early because I think the attack will come out as soon as they start winding up and then just eat a fucking massive sword to the face. they probably made the attacks slow on purpose but I think i am just retarded

Attached: 20190330022442_1.jpg (1920x1080, 566K)

Monks were smart and hid her away.

Really? Jesus, I think I'll have to take a break for a while then because I'm starting to get fatigued of this game

but you can farm slabs in dark souls 1
the darkwraiths drop them

If you're early in the game you should just be rushing Ichimonji x 2 and your umbrella. Those two things can carry almost anybody through their first playthrough.

It works with everything except Mortal Draw, Praying strikes, and the kicks of high monk. If you're asking about Spiral Cloud Passage in particular, yes it works on it. But I generally just mop shit up with dragon flash unless the health is so high that posture breaking becomes preferable. Like the red boys at the end of the game.

If you're wondering, the two items were a dragonrot tear thing, and a stature of restoration.

Roughly 15 seconds, but there are attack interrupts that are repeatable.

CENTIPEEEEDEEEE

I want to know how he says it in japanese, I mean I heard it ingame but I need the romanji text of the "My name is Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa" part. I know by listening that he does not start it with "watashi wa".

Attached: MY_NAME.jpg (640x339, 54K)

I looked it up and it's not like it matters in the end but having missable items annoys me.

He only does after you converse with him and buy his 10% discount from all merchants item, his last item on his possession
The guy's based but still suffers from From's "nobody lives" syndrome

thanks frens
seems like i just have to get good

Yeah pretty much look it up or go back, there are like two or three I can remember being underwater so you can start there

W A R E
GYOUBU MASATAKA N A R IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

This
Noble shota>centipede rice loli

Well, that was easy. Ichimonji is best boy, as always.

Beating gen is like exiting the tutorial, you easily have half the game left

that thing has no pp, ew

Cheers. I'll keep diving unless I get bored.

Grapple up into the wall right after you had to kill the chained ogre.
Go through the other side of the building and then head right and explore the cliffsides there.
You'll find a little building with a note on it telling you not to keep going that way.
That's how you'll know you're heading in the right direction.

You'll eventually find a really dark cave that has a powerful enemy in it.
I'd suggest not trying to kill it right now unless you have a decent supply of divine confetti.
Just run past it and keep following the path through, and you'll find the demon bell.

I think the idol you need to teleport to is Ashina Outskirts Staircase, or something similar to that.

NG+ is relatively easier but shit will just start one shotting you if you're at 19/20 like ogre grabs and monkey troubles. God forbid you're somehow lower than that. I prefer NG cycles though because your limited tools force a more limited approach and picking which order to do bosses is more meaningful than "which final zone has ghosts I want to ignore this time"

Firecrackers have 0 cooldown against some enemies. It varies depending on the boss.

- Blocking regenerates posture.
- Running is super fast and doesn't cost anything. This is essential to know against big, fast enemies. The only downside is it halts regen for posture damage you already have.
- Vitality = Posture is a threshold, not a scale. It works in 25% increments. When a boss has 100% health, you need to focus on dealing damage. When a boss has 50% vitality or less, they have minimal posture regeneration so you can go on the offensive and do posture-damage actions. When a boss has less than 25% vitality, they cannot regenerate posture at all, which means you can play it safer. Bosses can still gain flat posture regen from certain actions, where they glow white and take a stance.
- Whiffing a deflection decreases your parry frames on each attempted deflection following it. If you want to deflect, time it well each time. Spamming parries gets you hit more unless you're actually deflecting.
- You need to time a deflection so you throw it up before an attack hits, that way the enemy attack will land in the middle of your deflection window. The game tells you to do it "as" the attack hits, which is not correct. If in doubt, block.
- Having your posture broken isn't usually a problem if it breaks on the last hit of an enemy combo, since there often isn't a follow-up. Doesn't apply to all situations, though.
- Kill the Shichimen Warrior in the dungeon as early as you can to get the Tanto, it's one of the best items in the game.

I killed first boss too.

the dodge has iframes

I'm at ashina elite and for the life of me, the guy wrecks my shit. I also went on a break, despite combining my workout routine with sekiro sessions, but Meh.
This game is great but one of the few cases that will lock out 60% of the gaming populace from the get go and an additional 20% will drop the game after the first couple of hours.

that's not rice you're eating
it's centipede eggs
Speaking of rice, does anyone else not think it's fucking weird Sekiro just straight up eats raw rice? Was/is that a thing that's done?

Thanks!!
And the first thing that he says before that is something like "OI!" right?

Attached: WOOOOO.png (720x1164, 159K)

I remember some joke theory some user posted here that Rice Loli is actually a Queen Centipede and rice is her eggs.

Did a similar thing to the purple dude during the Ashina castle assault near the shrine that uses the buff. I felt like his kick was 10x more gay to dodge late in those environments and felt like it tracked even harder and said fuck it. I also cheesed every snake eyes especially the first with poison because it felt like its stamina was full retard harder to bring down then any boss.

Mini bosses feel somewhat too durable besides maybe Orin/Ashina castle dude. Either that or they don't block at all like Ogre/Ox's. But Snakeeyes felt so much harder to open up and the grab tracking was gay.

If you want to ezmode him just break out the umbrella. He kills himself on it in less than 15 seconds

>had no trouble with the flaming bull on my first run
>go onto NG+ with no charm and Bell active
>get my kicked in for an hour before eventually quitting
Am I shit at this game

it bothers me how obviously these 'drawings' are patched together from stolen art

if you keep going, you can enter the castle and that will lead to the third boss

after that, the game opens up again (but it will be fairly clear where you are 'supposed' to go from the dialogue)

I wouldn't believe the "rice is eggs" theory if it wasn't a From game where every nice thing has a sinister edge to it.

Tomoe dlc when?

Bull is such a dickhole miniboss
it's really hard to read the timing on his attacks. he just kinda flails and deals massive damage if he nudges you

Thingken about Muramasa aesthetics with Sekiro gameplay.

Attached: 453453435354.jpg (624x780, 35K)

Where is the bottomless hole near the moon tower?

Fuck that enemy. Even bosses don't force you to deflect to do anything you can deflect a few times and just largely block taking a few strikes. But that fucker and Snake eyes basically force deflection to the fullest and his faggot ass is just "deflect these 2 strikes 2-3 times in a row or die".

I did it one time and then stunned him to death in his last phase. He also tracks super fucking hard and swings immediately once the AI knows you're even 1 cm in its max distance.

Oh the bull? I killed him too. Sorry.
I dunno. I feel like I'm missing side quests and characters.

Does hitting large enemies in the head stun them faster? It sure seems like it

Don't bully rice girl.

Nvm, I heard it again. He starts with WARE, makes a pause and says his full name.
Thanks m8

Facing him from the ledge, where do i run off to?

>Shit at game
>On NG+

Sekiro like all From games is literally just the same shit with more damage/limitations on NG+. Outside of SOTFS I guess. I've never seen the point in it outside of really enjoying BB to the point I just wanted to play it again but use the same character

>where every nice thing has a sinister edge to it.
Not every thing

Attached: solaire.png (800x1000, 486K)

Except she tells you "remember to chew"
She wouldn't do that if she wanted you to swallow her eggs

nahhh, you can keep going and there's a main boss (that gives you a Memory after)

I've found my sun

>Shichimen Warrior Location
>Abandoned Dungeon: Immediately after defeating Lone Shadow Longswordsman in Ashina Reservoir
How can I get to this nigga once the castle is on fire?

I don't think she's malicious, she may not even realise what her "rice" actually is.

The only people who ever eat it are insane old ladies, or literal immortals.

Achievements are autistic and you should suffer for chasing them
